Homewood Suites by Hilton Anchorage

Great room but the poolareacould have been cleaner!

The only issue I have was the pool & hot tub were down again. It was down in the spring when we stayed there and it is down again.

Friendly staff at the front desk, clean and spacious rooms, delicious breakfast options, and huge hot tub.

The hot tub was not hot either day. Day 1 approx. 100⁰ day 2 only 80⁰. This was the main reason of choosing this hotel, because I have a bad back and I could have got at least the same results from my bath tub and I could have made the temperature up to hot tub temps. We did tell the manager and he said he would look into it.

There’s no pool right now this is the 3rd to times to book here, but the pool is inconvenient for my kids. We need to go to the other to use that one..

Pool was not working. Have booked this hotel multiple times in the last few years and the pool have never been operating. Other than that the hotel is nice, rooms are nice and staff are always pleasant to work with

Two bedroom suite was great for a family, clean and spacious. Breakfast has lots of options, including gluten free. Hot tub is fantastic!

Nice property. Difficult to make changes to reservation because we booked through Expedia. Also pool/hot tub was down which was disappointing and not disclosed to us by the hotel until check in. Also I had called twice to confirm room was wheelchair accessible as the booking said “accessible” but when we arrived it was a tub not a walk in shower

The free shuttle to and from the airport is great. The hotel is nice, the room was clean, comfortable, nice beds and pillows. They had options for breakfast: waffles, bagels, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit and more.

The hotel was decent and the pool area was relaxed. However, our sheets were dirty upon arrival.

The property was clean and very well maintained. The rooms are sizeable and very comfortable. The staff was helpful and very nice. Breakfast was good.

The Non smoking rooms smelled of cigarettes, staff was not friendly. There was no restaurant or dinner options at the property. Room had water leaks and mold. Pool had white floaty stuff and hair clumps all over, very dirty and nasty. Not worth 600$ a night

Clean and quiet

Nice hotel but needs cleaning. Someone left trash in-front of our door when we arrived. I heard it was remodeled but I think after that they didn’t take good care of it as much as they should specially when it comes to cleaning. They said they have a heated pool but it was cold and water is so salty. They have a big nice hot tub. Bath tub, towels, linens and vents needs cleaning. There are pet furs in the bedsheets. Toiletries needs refill, they weren’t checked at all that they are empty. They didn’t give a late check out to us but they gave other guests a late check out. Breakfast was good and the servers was so nice and helpful.

Way over priced for the quality, the room smelled like stale fish, and the breakfast was either cool or empty and had to wait for refills.

Ok, this was not a good stay, nor was the property up to normal standards. We checked in around 11 pm, party of 5 into a family suite. Our room was already occupied by another family with a baby. When we tried opening the door with our roomkey, it woke their baby up and it started crying. A very haggard man came to the door, poor guy. We felt awful. Our second room was not very clean nor was it equipped for 5 people. Only 2 sets of towels and no hand soap at the sink. There were not sheets, blanket, pillow, etc for the sofa bed, which was not made. It was now 12:30 am and we were still trying to get the room essentials from the front desk. Then I pulled back the bed covers on the king bed and say hairs all over the pillow and sheets. The sheets had not been changed or the hotel has lousy laundry service that does not actually clean the sheets. At this point, after traveling for 20 hours and exhausted, i tossed the pillow aside, picked what hairs I could off the sheets, and went to sleep...which disgusted my kids. The 4 hour time change, travel exhaustion, and struggle to supply the room with basic necessities was too much and I gave up. This place was definitely not worth the $400 one night price. Do not stay here.

Bathtub was dirty when we arrived. Food selection at the breakfast was poor..no milk for the cereal. This hotel is on the low to average end.

The room was run down, bathtub was scratched and looked dirty There was a sucker stick on the trim by the door very little for silverware and the dishwasher leaked, the ice trays were still full and looked dirty Staff was friendly and took the issues well

Only bad part about our stay was the bed had a serious dip like the box spring has been broken. My husband slept on the Haida bed besides that it was fine. We’ll stay again.

Large apartment style room with a full kitchen, couch, chair, king bed and large shower. Lots of amenities and space for comfort. Very clean. Hotel is in convenient spot in Anchorage with restaurants and coffee nearby. Staff was friendly and lobby was cozy and attractive.

The hotel was nice, but very noisy. Kids running in the hall and it sounded like they were moving furniture above me.

The beds were incredibly uncomfortable. Old cheap spring mattress that felt like laying on a bed of nails. The couch was only a slight improvement. Every piece of furniture was extremely wobbly and needed to be handled with caution. It’s unfortunate that the hotel has their bookings go through a 3rd party. My dates got changed, somehow, so I would’ve had to pay a $220 fee just to fix the dates. Additionally, hotel.com had horrible photos, for the less expensive rooms, which I feel is a ploy to get people to book the more expensive rooms as those were the only ones with actual photos of the suites.

I like how the room was bright and spacious.

The room we had was clean and fairly comfortable. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The sofa was older and had a dip, wasn't comfortable to sit on for very long. I would stay there again, and would add that if the rooms are essentially the same maybe an update.

This is a very nice hotel with a great breakfast spread and convenient options in their own snack bar. The front has always been accommodating for us and it's close to some really good places to eat. For military members, it's about a 10 minute drive to JBER. Wifi can be kind of meh sometimes, but I was on the fourth floor in a corner; quite literally the worst spot for wifi.

So, have you ever been on a Carnival cruise? This is the Carnival cruise of Hilton properties in Anchorage. Good value, big rooms, and lots and lots of noise. Furniture is outdated and worn, fixtures are leaky and dirty, dust everywhere (don't look up at the ceiling fan!) and did I mention the noise? lots of children, pets, and arguments. But, you know, if you are loud, got lots of kids, and occasionally argue...this place is for you!

The employees at this hotel are dedicated to serving their customers!

The stay was quiet, clean and very restful Staff very professional and helpful

When I got there they had given my prepaid room to someone else. They were sold out. Fortunately the manager called and said she would find me a room at another hotel which she did. She was very helpful. Hopefully I will be refunded for the room as promised

I wanted you to know that after a small hiccup our stay was awesome. The staff Tofi, Iva, Luke, Arlene, MJ and many others provided excellent customer service. I want to commend you on a great staff at Homewood Suites.

From the time I checked in, the staff was amazing, from Ryan at the front desk, to the members of the housekeeping depart to the members who ran the continental breakfast area.

We booked to stay in Homewood specifically. There were no rooms available when we were checking in, so we were walked to Hilton Garden Inn. This is unacceptable. We specifically booked to stay in Homewood, not Garden Inn. The Garden Inn is under construction, our floor was dirty and noisy with construction workers early in the morning. Parking was hard to find because of the construction in the parking lot. Our room keys had to be reprogrammed 3 times to finally work. The high price we paid for the stay was unreasonable. We feel scammed and not trusting of the Hilton Brand. Will not be booking or staying there again.

My room was newly re-done and so it was very nice. There was no hair dryer there so that was a small inconvenience. I do want to give Khadijah in the kitchen a high five for her special assistance to Me. Also, to Dexter, the shuttle driver who got me to the airport in a timely manner and with good humor. It was very much appreciated!

Friendly staff

Arrive to the hotel,after paying for a taxi, to find out my room was cancelled due to a water issue. Their response was I should have called first.my response is that they should have called me. Airport shuttle was 40 minutes late and almost missed my flight. No comps from Hilton after all the fiasco. Never again for me

Overall it was a good stay except on the first night of my check-in. The receptionist called Alice was extremely unfriendly , unprofessional and unhelpful. She was rude and with a bad, uncared attitude. If it wasn't for her, would have given it a 5 stars. The other staff was helpful and friendly. Sally at the reception was very helpful when I made my booking in Jan. She answered all my questions. She is polite and professional, helpful. I'm so glad I finally met her today on my last day. Breakfast was excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful. Eva (or Iva) was extremely helpful and cheerful. Made the breakfast a pleasant experience. The free shuttle was great. I will be returning next Wed just for one night and I hope I don't get the unhelpful Alice at my check-in!!

Room wasn’t ready when it was time to check in. (There were 3 families waiting).When we entered the room, the couch had stains on it as well as the mattress for the hide-a-bed. Doors didn’t shut/open properly. Shuttle to downtown was never available had to pay for Uber every time except for one time and even then, I was told no one could pick us up and another time they told me I would have to wait an hour in a half. I Talked to the manager and he reassured me that this wouldn’t be a problem since they were short one driver but it continued to be a problem the my entire stay. Never received towels when requested and when I went downstairs to request our room to be cleaned and requested 10 towels (there were 5 of us), we still only received 3 towels and no toilet paper. My mom had to get a roll off the cart herself. Beds weren’t even made. Lady at the front was rude and just seemed irritated. At one point, when I asked if there was a shuttle available her response was “I don’t know” and after awkward silence, she radioed to check. Breakfast was okay, toaster and waffle maker didn’t work 2 of the days and the staff couldn’t keep up with clean plates, bowls and utensils so they eventually resorted to paper/plastic. Overall, (for what I paid) I expected my stay to have been much better than what it was. It caused a lot of unneeded stress. I definitely will not not stay here again.

The free breakfast was so much better than expected. We decided not to eat breakfast at restaurants after our first day because it was so good. We felt at home during our five-night stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights before getting on a cruise. Hotel was clean, quiet, and up to date. Breakfast was great!
