I took a taxi because the shuttle is way too slow and long before ending the ride à the R Republica. I lose my complete afternoon with the shuttle. 40 US $ Staff ALWAYS courteous and happy to help. Great asset! Room and laundry clean and fresh. My room had a leak in the bathroom: shower would leak under the sink..(room 3274) The rest is nice, the beach is great, well designed with a mix of pure beach and sun, or palm trees to avoid direct sunlight.

This is my 2nd time at the Riu Republica Pros: Food is good, resort isn’t too large and the waitstaff is pretty friendly. Cons: Both times I have maintenance issues with the room and both times I didn’t get a response till the next day. Rooms are dated and restaurants are small. For less than $135/night I would come, but for more than that I wouldn’t. My AC wouldn’t cool the entire 3 nights I was there and they kept saying they fixed it but it never cooled below a certain point. Thank God the high was only 80
