Majestic Mirage Punta Cana, All Suites – All Inclusive

Our butler Edith was amazing! All of the staff is pretty friendly. The food was good and plenty of options to choose from. The pools were always kept up and clean. Saw many signs outside of doors of people returning or on a special occasion like birthday, honeymoon, or anniversary. I totally get why people would want to celebrate here because it’s really nice!

My wife and I stayed there for a family reunion on September 3 thru September 6. Upon arrival they took us to a room to check in ( which I guest they are trying to be different, but this does not work). We spend 1/2 an hour checking in, which supposedly I was already pre check in. I have never spend 1/2 checking into a hotel, and I have travel all over and several all inclusive hotels in Punta Cana. When we were finally taking to our room, we found the room nice, but it had several faults. For example one side of the curtain was hanging, and I told the gentleman who took us to the room. Supposedly, he reported the issued. There were also water spot on the ceiling, I guest from the jacuzzi upstairs ( which we never used). The shower ceiling had a square cut, which I guest they were working on and was never closed completely. One of the bathroom sink was clogged. The food was ok nothing special. We went to the Italian restaurant and it was lousy. I order chicken Parmesan and it was horrible it looked like the chicken was boiled and a little bit of cheese on top. Chicken Parmesan supposed to be a piece of breaded chicken with cheese on top and Italian sauce. A least this is what I get at every Italian restaurant I ordered it. My wife food was tasteless and she order a tiramisu for dessert and they brought it in a small coffee pot all watery( which I have never seen that before) I thought that it was my cappuccino they were bringing. The only good think was the staff was nice.

Incompetent staff. No quality spirits. Unnecessary restrictions and complications. Avoid majestic.

Was not impressed with this resort! We all still had a great time and it was relaxing but it did not feel like a 5 star resort. The food was boring, same items for lunch and dinner. The chicken did not seem good quality, often overcooked. The ice cream was very poor quality and soft. Not great for vegetarians (luckily I am not vegetarian). Morning pastries were nice but the pancakes were terrible. For a 5 star I would have expected fresh pancakes and waffles every morning. Hygiene not great. Cleaning of the room was hit and miss, cleaned everyday but turned down in evening was only done twice. Always less towels given. The shampoo on first day was used (half full) and not renewed. The extra beds for kids were stained and dirty. There was no water on one of the days. Sunbed culture is not great…. Struggled to find a sunbed on children side of pool. People would reserve the Bali beds really early and not use it until mid afternoon. Two men were smoking in the kids pool. Staff seemed unhappy, tired, exhausted… service was slow unless you gave a tip. The grounds were nice and well kept, pool itself was nice even though the kids one was packed with adults whereas the adult only ones were empty. Beach is also nice. I have been to much better 5 star resorts and will not be returning to this one.
