We had a lovely stay at the Chestnut House and would recommend it to anyone traveling to Nantucket. The location was perfect since it was centrally located in the town and in walking distance to so many shops, restaurants and attractions. The room was clean and cozy and the staff was always available to answer our questions. We loved how they provided beach items like towels and umbrellas.

Absolutely loved the Chestnut House! Jennifer is a wonderful host who filled us in on the history of the house and the beautiful art work (created by her parents). Our room was cleaned everyday and everything we needed (umbrella, beach chairs, towels was provided. The location of the Chestnut House is ideal and at the heart of the town. We walked everywhere and caught the Wave to the beach. I highly recommend these accommodations for your stay in Nantucket.

We (a family of 3 with a young child) stayed at the Chestnut House for a weekend during the off-season. It was a lovely stay. The location is convenient, the staff friendly, the rooms clean and nicely decorated, and we loved the upstairs library. We will be back hopefully next spring!

This house hotel was wonderful. It was centrally located so that we could easily walk to many restaurants, shops, etc. We rented bikes for most of our stay and were able to lock them up on the property. They provided beach towels for us and have other beach needs available for use as well. They gave us an hour late checkout since we were having a hard time saying goodbye to the island. They also have an area to hold your storage if you need to check out before your flight departure. My only wish was that there was a window AC in the main living area of the room as well and that the fold out bed was more comfortable, because we had sleepers in that room, but otherwise, everything was absolutely perfect!

This was our first time on Nantucket, and we couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more! The Chestnut House was so central to everything in town and close to all the WAVE bus stop locations. The suite we stayed in was perfect for all of our needs. It was clean, roomy, and decorated nicely. I would highly recommend staying here for anyone looking at visiting Nantucket!

This was definitely an older property. It was decorated nice and the beds were comfortable. Easy access in and out any time of day. However, there was a musty or damp smell that was quite uncomfortable for me. I smelled it throughout the entire suite. It was the worst near the sink in the bathroom. I will say that it seemed to have dissipated a little on the last day there, so maybe it was something transient.

Very classic look. Loved the look of the decor. Very spacious room for the price but still very cozy. Super comfortable bed! Only source of light were lamps spread out around the room so room was dimly lit. Heating took awhile to warm up the room. Most affordable room in the area at the time of booking.

Check in with Ian was a breeze. We arrived early but our room was ready so we were able to check in and freshen up. The 2 room suite was cute, comfy and very homey. We had the best nights sleep of our entire trip. The bed, the pillows and the bedding were perfect. Location is great, easy walk to everything.
