Kip Hotel

Great little convenience hotel stay. Only issue I had was the AC in the room wasn’t working though there was power to it, it would come on for 2 minutes and then switch itself off. Floors were a little scratched too and tv was very slow but all in all, very clean and modern, can’t complain for the price. Great for short term trips

While the property was clean and staff was nice, the hotel advertised air conditioning. When we arrived the AC worked in the hallways, but all of the rooms we were told they were out of order. They gave us a fan, but it was so hot that after 2 nights we left. Just a heads up that had it been fixed, we would have stayed.

I enjoy my stay in the hotel and feel comfortable in the services I advise the management to always provide kettle, tea or coffee, milk, sugar, butter and all the necessary breakfast items in the rooms

The lights flickered and didnt work most of the time, half of the sockets didnt work and the tv’s screen was buggy

The entrance of the hotel was not easy to find they share an entrance with Travelodge. I was pleased with my stay at Kip Hotel, the room was clean although my room had no window and it was a shared bathroom, the bathroom was clean and had both soap and shampoo. The hotel has air-conditioning although it is centrally controlled, despite it being 34 Celsius outside inside my room was nice and cool. If all you need is a room with a bed this is the hotel for you, great transport links with buses and trains close by also restaurants and bars close as well. I will stay here again

Hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were pleasant and welcoming. We booked 2 rooms, 1 was ready early, the other 30 mins late. The first room had an intermittent fault on the lights. The aircon was broken so a dyson fan had been put in the room. The second room was more spacious and had no issues. If you want a coffee, hairdryer or iron, you need to return to reception to request them.

I stayed here for two nights, firstly, the good; it’s really clean, extremely close to public transport (just around the corner from the train station) and very close the local pubs, bars and shops. The bad; facilities are extremely lacking, no kettle in the room, no fridge in the room, air conditioning not working despite being the hottest week of the year. The staff were not overly welcoming or helpful, given on your welcome card is a telephone number you supposedly can use to contact reception 24/7. I used this and received no response. The beds are not the comfiest, and considerably small, only one pillow provided per bed. Due to the location the area is very noisy, which of course cannot be helped but just added to an unrestful nights sleep. Overall the hotel is okay, it’s a place to sleep but nothing more, there aren’t any key features that make this place stand out. If all you’re looking for is a space to sleep then it does the job. I don’t feel the price to stay here is worth it for the services provided.

The only negative thing about our stay at Kip is there were no stairs I can not go in lifts due to an anxiety I suffer from .

Great service great room very clean but air con not working seems to be a issue for a number of weeks now according to reviews so would assume there choosing not to have it fixed would stay again if could confirm air con was working first as room was very hot and made it uncomfortable to sleep windows only opened an inch - other than that everything was great

Staff were friendly and helpful. Spacious room but no comfortable chairs and the beds were not very comfortable. AC did nothing.

Cons: Room was tiny. TV wasn’t working. Desk service at night was poor. Window to room was left open when we checked in so lots of bugs had flown in. Shower wasn’t clean. Pros: They let us keep bags after checkout. Room was otherwise clean. Train station right next to hotel was super convenient!

It located right outside Hackney Central station. The bathroom is shared by three rooms which was not busy at all. I like the private room which is comparable to the size of hub by premier inn without the bathroom. But the sound proof really need to be improved. I can hear the snore from next door the whole night! If I know his language I could hear every words of my neighbor’s phone call. The bathroom was clean and I like the hot bath. But the toilet was blocked. It didn’t help at all even with several flash!

First of all, the pictures shown here are extremely misleading most rooms look nothing like that in reality. The beds were disgustingly dirty. I went to the reception and politely asked if our room could be cleaned properly. When we came back, nothing had changed still the same bed, same filthy sheets. I approached the front desk again, but the lady there interrupted me, showed no interest in my complaint, and spent most of the time chatting on her phone. She eventually gave us a different room but even there, the bed was still stained and gross. I ended up removing the bedsheet myself. I refuse to sleep on what looked like dried urine stains, clearly from unchanged sheets. I also contacted Expedia about the situation and they tried to reach the hotel, but got no response. So I couldn’t even get a refund to book somewhere else. This hotel is an absolute joke. If you do stay here, I highly recommend you to check the bedsheets immediately.

Amazing value for money!! Bed was comfortable and both the room and shared bathroom were clean. The bathroom was only shared by three rooms so there was no need to wait etc!

Room size was fine although 'large' it was not. Bed was so uncomfortable and under the top sheet the mattress topper underneath was stained and dirty. one thin pillow as well with no spares in the room. Desk staff were friendly and good but that's where the positives end unfortunately.

Room v clean but no window or ventilation so v v stuffy and hot so didn’t sleep well. V close to Hackney overground station which was convenient . Shared bathroom could have been cleaner but could have been worse.

Booked a room during our visit for All Points East and it did exactly what was needed. A no frills 1 night stay. The pillow was as soft as concrete and no air con but perfectly fine stay for our needs.

Nice little place, directions to reception could be clearer and the pillows are extremely thin. Walls very thin so you can hear everything next door. But those aside, for the price is value for money and a comfy stay for the night.

If you’ve ever wanted to know what it feels like to spend a night in a prison, this is the one for you! Even though we booked a small studio it was still diabolical. Don’t get me wrong, it did the job for what we wanted but was grubby, mattress very thin. Only 2 thin pillows on the bed, air con unit was noisy and you couldn’t open any windows. Kettle in the room but can’t make a tea or coffee? Very poor

Small room is VERY small, bed is wall to wall have to be under 6 feet tall to be able to sleep well. Pillows were terrible for some reason as well.

Too close to railway could be a problem

Great location, very handy to the Overground and a lot of buses. My room was windowless, which I knew when I was booking and was fine with. It meant using the aircon a lot, which is fine in theory but it was a pretty noisy system. Otherwise though - clean & convenient. Would stay again

The hotel bed was very hard, the pillows were far too flat. We didn’t get very much sleep as the room faced on to the train track for Hackney Central. We could hear trains all night. Overall very disappointing.

couldn’t fit in the ‘double’ bed length ways as a 5’8” person… odd wooden frame cut off a chunk of the bed…

Good location near the tube line, and friendly staff on site. Everything else about the hotel was a little basic, and a bit rough round the edges. Room was very compact, and limited. 2 very small and flat pillows on the double bed in total, definitely no frills but ok for a one night stay.

Staff on Reception not particularly friendly - as few words as possible / none if it did not require an answer (I said thank you and good night after check-in and the lady went straight back onto her phone without saying anything back) AC was not working and having stayed in this hotel a few times now, hot bedrooms is a recurring problem (I was lucky enough to have an AC remote control in my room this time but it kept turning itself off after 10sec (I stayed in the same room last year and it was already an issue I'd reported then). The general condition with more and more marks on the bedroom walls is getting worse and worse and a quick refresh in the coming months wouldn't hurt

This is a budget hotel, price is good for London. Short walk from two overgrounds so decent location. Rooms are actually nice, trendy if not a bit cheaply made. Perfectly adequate for the price. The staff however are awful. The woman on the check-in desk was rude, obnoxious and borderline aggressive. Totally at odds with their friendly/casual nature seen on their website and social media. Noise from the train - I can cope with Basic room with basic facilities - fine Average comfort bed - no problem Treated like garbage by staff - not ok Poster in the lift suggested i follow them on instagram to get a free coffee from reception, wouldn't dare to ask the rottweiler for fear of being bitten. Suggestion to KIP - manners and a warm welcome should be your priority. Maybe train your staff in customer service.

Our room was clean and spacious. The front desk staff were brilliant.

This hotel is right next to the train, which runs every few minutes, 24/7 basically. The air conditioning was broken (the staff didn’t care and only told me after I asked about it twice) so the only option was to keep the window open, which was only a crack and didn’t cool the room at all, and listen to the train and people screaming all day and all night. There’s also construction going on right outside so add that to the list. The room was dusty and I had to beg for it to be cleaned, the area isn’t the best, and the staff were really dismissive.

The Staff are 10/10! Amazing service

As this place is near Hackney Central Station and busstop is absolutely fantastic and easy to go whereever you want to travel. But the staff is not good at all they are like zombies and don’t talk. Overall is this place fantastic with kitchen and fridge/freezer. Thumps Up.

Very helpful staff

Conveniently located right at Hackney Central Station, perfect place to stay if you're going to events at Tottenham Hotspur stadium. Room was quiet and clean. Great staff!

What I like most about this place is 1) the walkable area within, 2) how close it is to the station (literally a 2 minute walk to get to the platform), 3) the room set up. I like simplicity and comfort and this place provided both of thise things. Plus, the amenities around the area are plentiful.

For a London hotel, this was a bargain. Okay, so it's not a palatial 5-star posh palace, but it was comfortable for one night. And right next to Hackney Central station. The neighborhood is what it is. Many will like it's edgy feel, but I'm not keen.

Very easy transport links, right beside the overground station. Lots of shops and eating places in the local area.

Perfect hotel to use as a base for travel to and from central London and for us Tottenham. Basic but super clean. Beds a bit lumpy! Asked for extra pillows and not an issue. Literally a 1 minute walk from Hackney Central. Free coffee and te at reception was ok but could have been told that oat milk was an option. There is a costa underneath the hotel. Good value for what it is.

Great bargain level type place, sort of Travelodge level, just you don’t get tea making in your room, it’s no problem for the staff, but you have to go to reception and ask them for a cuppa. All in all not bad

First time staying here. It was discounted so great value for a double. The room was big, nice design and colour. Love the shelving and the plant as things like that make you feel you’re not in a hotel. It was quiet except for someone banging at 6.30am. It was clean. Bed comfy. Nice bathroom with awesome shower. The next day was fully booked so I moved on, but I recommend it. There are no coffee-making facilities in the room, but you can get that from reception. Plus the location is great. Really like the room design!

I had stayed at this hotel several times before the pandemic and always had positive experiences. However, during my recent visit with my wife and daughter, I was disappointed to see how much the quality has declined over the past few years. Upon arrival, the reception area felt more like a bank, with screening that created an unwelcoming atmosphere. While the receptionist was efficient, the warmth and friendliness that used to make this hotel stand out were noticeably absent. The room itself was clean and generally acceptable, but it lacked the thoughtful touches that once made a stay here feel special. The complimentary coffee that was previously offered in the reception area has been discontinued, which was disappointing. The most significant issue was the lack of functioning air-conditioning throughout the hotel. Our room was uncomfortably stuffy, and with no fan provided and windows that barely opened, it was difficult to stay comfortable. On a positive note, our room included a kitchen area with a fridge, which allowed us to purchase ice from a nearby shop in an attempt to keep the room somewhat cooler. I used to wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to others, but unfortunately, I can no longer do so. The decline in service and amenities is too significant to overlook.

Had a great stay here, right next to the overground, easy to find. Not much eating places around but the actual rooms itself have everything you need. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice, clean property woth a large room (2xadults, 2xkids). Supermarkets and cafes less than 1 minite walk away. Can't get any closer to the train station which was wonderful. Requested a kettle on check-in as not as standard. My only suggestion would be if someone rings the pager to not instantly pick up and hang up. We weren't the only ones there and we were all struggling with the door (have to pull quite hard because it sticks. Easy once you know how!) Numerous attempts to dial all resulted in hanging up. We finally got a response saying "the door is open" and hung up before we could speak. Overall a nice property and recommend.

I had an excellent stay at Kip. The room was nice and spacious, and staff was really nice as well. I even got some coffee to start my day right! And the location right next to the overground station was perfect.
