Great hotel, very clean and also has friendly staff. However, they no longer offer free parking for cruise passengers staying here like they did in the past. The breakfast is also pricey. Great location, close to food and shopping.

Stayed here for 2 nights before catching a cruise. Bit disappointed as the bar was not open on the first evening we were there and only open until about 8:30 the next evening. We booked it as it advertised as having a bar. No other facilities around so had to Uber into Galveston on both days. Hotel room was large and comfortable although shower gel or shampoo containers were empty and no house keeping during our stay.

I have stayed at this hotel before it was purchased by Holiday Inn. Great staff! Aesthetics are much better! However, they stopped allowing cruise parking as of 2/13/25. This was one of the main reasons I chose to stay at this location. The manager allowed us to park this one time only, which was very kind of them to make an exception. Additionally, when we tried to check in, my reservation was cancelled. Luckily they had availability so we were able to rebook. I have say I was really pleased with how the staff was able to work with me on the issues we had! Very professional!

When searching for a hotel, I specifically looked for one with a pool to enjoy during our stay. Once we check in they tell us it is closed due to renovations. They didn't want to cancel our reservation to look for another hotel with pool access. The dining area was closed as well so we didn't get to have breakfast. I took pictures of how dirty the room was as well, wish I could upload them. Would not recommend this hotel at all.

Got there at check-in time which was 3, had to wait an additional 20 min before we got a room. Asked if the pool was swimmable, they said “YES” this was a family trip with the granddaughter who’s a mermaid, lol went to the pool and OMG it was green!!! Couldn’t even see the steps green. I asked numerous times if they were going to get it fixed, and time after time asking it was still green Don’t recommend staying here

The bathroom was disgusting. Blood, hair and dirt all over the shower and bath tub. The attendee said to wait till the manager gets in the next morning but we had to leave before they got there so the problem was not resolved.

Property located in middle of nowhere. Not much to look at. Not many food options. But the worst part was that our room smelled of mold. Very musty, wet, smelly. The cleaning job was not good. Pissed I spent $250+ dollars on this gross hotel. I wouldn’t stay again

Horrible. I requested a room on the quiet side of the hotel which was denied. Employees were rude, incompetent and unprofessional Entire hotel reeks of mold and mildew. Dirty used towels left in bathroom from previous guests. Bed linen with nasty visible stains.I would advise anyone to stay far far away from this roach hotel.

The first time I stayed, I booked a second time because it was really good. This time, the bathroom sink filled up with water and had puke floating that was clogged in the drain. We were moved to another room and the bathtub was full of what looked like pubic hair. I was pretty disappointed with this stay.

This hotel stinks to high heaven. Room was so dirty, AC had dust so thick on the vent we had to clean them and husband had to remove the air filters and clean them off they were caked with dust. The whole hotel was filthy. More like a 0 star hotel. Never again

It was nasty, dusty, filthy, bug infested room. It was horrible !! I heard guest complaining at checkout about there rooms also. That was our first time staying there. ! It was the most nasty place I’ve ever stayed in my life ! 0 stars. DO NOT STAY !!! Sheets had stains, and the shower was dirty as ever with hair ! Ridiculous experience!!

Air conditioner didn't work in 2 different rooms. Filthy dirty rooms and floors. Was told there was absolutely nothing they could do about our situation. We had to find other accomdations.

The tub handle was so loose it turned a lot before it even changed the water temperature. The ironing board was missing a leg. It was in the closet but not attached. The back of the bathroom door was filthy. No, half the door was dusty and dirty. And there was noise above our room was like a soccer game of running back and forth until 11 pm and then again at 8 am.

Good value, convenient location right off the freeway. Was good for our needs. Nothing walkable from this location but that was fine for us. Our only real complaint was related to our specific room location, which was on the ground floor very near the back exit of the hotel. Other people would come and go thru that door all night long, which slammed each time it closed. Hard to get a good nights sleep with the door banging so often. Other than that, bed was comfortable, room was clean and it served our purpose.

Overall everyone was very nice except for the front desk person at night. This person gave us a hard time about our service animal saying they didn’t allow pets. I told him he had to because of the ADA and he said every holiday inn was separately owned and therefore they could reject service animals. He mumbled something about a fine. Our room was disgusting with other people’s hair in the sheets and bathroom but he was taking such a long time to figure out how to switch us that I got frustrated and just cleaned everything myself.

We spent $243 for a one night stay as we were leaving for a cruise the next day and there was little available so we had no choice. $50 would have been overpriced. Sheets were stained and threadbare. Drapes were hanging off the rod. Place felt unclean. Desk manager was great, place was not. Would NOT recommend. Read the reviews. Inconvenient location. Next to Freeway, so noisy. Nothing nearby within walking distance so no dining choices. Website stated free continental breakfast but there was none.

Elevator does not have inspection certificate posted or even a sign that it is maintained in the office. 11am checkout makes it sort of inconvenient. Decent rooms and location is okay, easy access from the freeway and perfect for cruise travelers.

This property was fine, and just fine. The breakfast was a basic continental breakfast (actually smaller than most we've stayed at recently) for $11.99 a person. The drinks located in the lobby were $4 each. Check in was slow even though we were the only people. Our key didn't work the second day and the wait was long even though we were again the only people. I would stay there again if I was in the area, but I wouldn't seek it out when looking for a location. We travel often and stay in the same places repeatedly when it's great. This is not one of the great places, it was just okay.

Both our rooms had multiple water stains in the celing, un-vacuumed carpet, rust on the lamps and several other small stains and dirty spots. Every floor/ room smelled like bleach mixed with something unpleasant, like mildew etc. The kitchen was closed for renovations.

Room was clean as you'd expect. Well lit safe property. Great value for the money, anywhere else for this price would have been a seedy motel. Big rooms, nice staff. Too bad there's no food services.
