Hotel was nice. Clean and safe. Issues: 1) pool was freezing cold 2) hot tub was amazing but so much chlorine the air burned your eyes 3) Birthday party rented the room above us. Kids jumping on bed and running all over until 3am. Security went up there 4 times. 4) one birthday party, 8 kids plus 4 parents in one room. Basically kicked us all of the pool. Kid out of control. 5) no pool towels ever Good: 1) Staff 2) decent breakfast 3) Hot tub was so nice 4). Hotel very clean

We come every year for the Woodward Dream Crusie and never have we ever had any problems with any of our stays, weve been staying for the past 9 yrs! We look forward to staying every year! Staff has always been very nice and welcoming, they have security that patrols the area for the event and that makes me feel so safe, to where i can rest peacefully at night. Theres so much to do in that area, youre 5-10 from many restaurants and stores, not far from the Detroit Zoo, very peaceful area !

Great staff, very clean, well-stocked amenities, and close to tons of shopping and restaurants. My kids loved the pool! The gym was a bit small but has the essentials. Overall very nice property at a great price!

TownePlace Suites by Marriott Detroit Troy was a great hotel! Check-in was fast and the staff were friendly. My room, a Studio King, had all the amenities one would need for an extended stay and was very clean. This specific location was conveniently located near several restaurants. This is my second time staying here in the past month, both times the crumb cakes for breakfast were rock hard ( stale) not sure how long the food is allowed to be left out but it was far from fresh. A waffle option would be nice. Not a great selection. The entrance closest to my room had someone’s tied up garbage on the floor that smelled like stinky diapers (#2) Went to grab a coffee on the way out but it was empty. Front desk clerk was sitting down eating with phone playing something.

The beds are way too small for a suite. The towneplace in Kansas has much bigger beds and two bathrooms in the suite which obviously led to disappointment.

The staff at the desk at Townplace are absolutely phenomenal and the nicest people I’ve come across in the hotel industry and I’ve traveled a ton. We stayed here this week based 99% on the staff after staying there the week before. We will absolutely stay here anytime we are in Detroit area!!!

We had to initial a document policy/rules however when we told the staff about things that were of concern with the room for example the towel bar continuously falling (we just left it down) or the kitchen cabinet being off track etc they just said not to worry but never checked the room. It was also enjoying that we were asked how often we wanted housekeeping because they only do it every other day and they only came one day. We had to go get the things we needed and they request that you bring the used towels down which is disgusting and unsanitary.

The Front Desk clerk can be more friendly and personable..it appears that he doesn’t like and his job and continues to talk on his AirPods while checking us in..

All were good except breakfast was so bad and cheap with extrmely little choices, fruits were old! I had much better or better in other hotels. It would not cost much to serve better quality breakfast.
