My son and I stayed for a week and will be back. The bungalows were very clean. We were moved from one that had an issue with the AC. The beach was simply amazing, the pool was wonderful. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and being able to order lunch on the beach and drinks was a treat. Electricity in Tulum is not healthy for electronics so thankfully, I had four charging blocks that I used to charge our phones and cameras. The restaurant of the hotel is across the street and was delicious. I can’t wait to go back.

It was very nice. And quiet. I love nature and the turtles were seen almost very night right outside. And they had a nice pool to relax while looking at the ocean. Thy even served lunch and drinks in the afternoons by the pool. Very zen

This is a rustic well kept property on the beach in a great area of Tulum. There is no restaurant or bar but we had access to one across the street. The breakfast is served across the street, it’s basic, but adequate. The top units have palapa roofs, so they have open eaves. The staff were very good and attended to any little problems promptly. Comfy bed, hot shower, good WiFi, but not much space to put your clothes away. We would stay again.

The place is right on the beach and the pool is lovely and so relaxing. The hotel is just far enough from all the noise, but a 5 minute walk to all the action near Rosa Negra. The staff bends over backwards to help you with whatever you need. We stayed in the Sueño Caribeño suite and it has a nice view of the ocean from both the room and the outside balcony. Just know that the balcony in that suite is outside of the room right by its front door, but it’s still quite private and two steps from the ocean.

Very nice quiet beach right outside the door of each bungalow. Limited seating with adequate number of very low, partially shaded sun beds with one Adirondack chair, many of which were broken. Pool seemed nice, but lacked a railing to the pool deck and no railing or ladder into the pool. Around the pool there are two sun beds with little shade and only two Adirondack chairs. Free breakfast right across the road with inexpensive additions available. Many really good, but very expensive, restaurants within walking distance. If one must walk on the road it is quite hazardous. It is narrow with no, or rough sidewalks. Definitely bring a flashlight for nighttime walking. Once there was an open manhole on the edge of the road. Property seemed poorly maintained. Although requests for needed bathroom repairs were quickly completed. Daily housekeeping and refill of drinking water was provided. It’s certainly adequate in a lovely setting. But I would caution anyone with physical limitations to look elsewhere.

La habitacion está muy linda y en realidad todo el entorno, lo único es que el hotel no tiene restaurante, aunque nuestro desayuno era incluido; el servicio es en un restaurante frente al hotel, con buen servicio pero muy básico la comida sin variedad, el restaurante no era muy agradable pues está al descubierto y sin abanicos menos clima.

This is a great place stay while in Tulum. The price per night is great for the amenities it has. It has a pool, beach bed, breakfast included, and shopping within walking distance. Your are the beach within a minute. The staff is very helpful as they wheel barrow your luggage for you.

One of the first hotels in tulum so ground are large and full of vegetation. The pool on the beach is wonderful. Huge rooms with rustic past but a/c at night. Amazing beach location on the quiet side. This is not the place to stay if you want a dj and Fri is service on the beach. That said you’re next to Lula hotel who have great restaurant and wonderful yoga and fitness. Great for families, singles and couples who want a little old school tulum with a great central (but quiet) location.

The mosquito net was ripped so that wasn’t helpful, room had broken windows that stayed open so bugs could get in easily. The beach was not cleaned so there was seaweed everywhere. Room did not have a hair dryer either so bring your own

We enjoyed sitting on the decking overlooking the beach and the view from the room is also nice. The room was very spacious and we did like the fact the room had a safe and a fridge. Whilst it was a perfectly adequate stay, there was nothing of note that made it feel as special as we had expected. They provided water in a jar, we would have preferred bottled water like most places offer given how unreliable the water can be. The bed sheets and pillow covers had stains on which wasn't very enticing or pleasant. Given this wasn't a cheap stay we had expected more, but somethings felt a little tired. The breakfast option at the restaurant over the road left a lot to be desired, the place gave us the ick as they couldn't seem to cook cnicken/beef on skewers properly and the price of lunch there like everywhere in Tulum was expensive.

Bra och mysigt boende precis vid stranden. Personalen var hjälpsamma och trevliga. Städade varje dag och det var renligt. Man får ha i tanke att man bor i en bungalow och det är inte helt isolerat, som gör att ljud och kryp lätt kommer in. Överlag var vi väldigt nöjda och skulle åka till detta hotell igen om vi skulle komma tillbaka :)

Nueva Vida is gorgeous!! Sandy paths that lead to your tree house vibe oasis, super relaxing and gorgeous views! Lovely pool and hammocks to enjoy right on the beach!! Service was excellent. Rooms cleaned daily which is important with all the sand. Breakfast was so delicious to start our day and the location is perfect in So-Tu! In the heart of the hippie vibe with gorgeous restaurants and clubs but just south enough to be in the quiet part yet fully walkable. Get a room with an ocean view for absolute paradise! No AC but rooms have fans. We found the ocean breeze kept us very comfortable (early April). Lots of seaweed, but this is something one cannot plan around this time of year but the view is still absolutely stunning! Highly recommend staying here 3 - 4 nights. We stayed 4 and it was perfect. The tree house style rooms are spacious and beds very comfortable but be prepared that the sand blows everywhere and the humidity keeps everything a bit damp feeling. We loved having a fridge for juice and water. Out unit (Espiritu Maya) came with separate bath, sperate kitchen and 2 story bedroom- perfect for families! We thought we would cook but never did. Showers have salty feeling and taste so one never feels fully clean but it is okay in this environment. Just go with the flow. Great yoga options next door at Lula. Terrific cenote right up the road- just order a drink to hang there. Fave restaurant: La Taqueria Pinches Tacos Shop!

What a great hotel this is! I wished I had booked our entire trip at this place! Our cottage was right on the water. The rooms look exactly like advertised. It was sparkling clean and the staff was excellent. Great place. I would def stay again and again.

We stayed at Nueva Vida in our recent 9 day visit to Tulum and we absolutely loved it here. We were not looking for an all inclusive experience and more of the smaller eco lodge and we were not disappoint. Our room (Coral) was easy to get to the main road and just a minute walk to the beach. It was clean, comfortable and included a fan - which made the humidity tolerable. Housekeeping did an amazing job of keeping everything fresh and clean each day. We loved having breakfast included, and the food was quite good. The hotel had beach lounges that were always available which was a huge plus. The Nueva Vida location is extremely convenient as it is a 5 minute walk in either direction to great dining, shopping, and spas. While we had a car, we didn’t really use it much. We absolutely loved our stay here and would highly recommend it if you are looking for an eco lodge feel and not the AI compound feel.

Super emplacement en bord de mer, joli bungalow en bord de plage. Confort un peu rustique mais bien. Gros point négatif une seule lampe donc très sombre et surtout une seule prise électrique, pas top du tout pour charger les appareils, l'hôtel n'a même pas de multiprise

The location is right on the beach and it's secluded from all the noises and parties from a block away. My cabin was by the pool overlooking the ocean. In May, the weather can get to 95-100 deg so having ocean breeze helps. The room is very spacious. The only drawback is you can only turn on a/c from 8pm-8am. I would definitely come back.

The front desk (Eric) and restaurant (Richard) staff were wonderful. Included breakfast was very tasty, served right on the beach. Our room, though not luxury, was very large and comfortable in a rustic way. There was a water outage one evening, but it was fixed within an hour. Staying within view and sound of the ocean was a first for us and we enjoyed it very much. The property was very lush, different from most of the other hotels on the strip.

Great location on the beach, lots of restaurants plus a convenience store around. Second floor unit right in the treetops of the jungle. No A/C and mini fridge which would come very handy. Tap water was weird and there was occassional very stromg smell of sewage.coming in (from sewage tank outside)

Stayed in magico amancer . Was an amazing beachfront room . The resort has an old Mexico feel. Lobby coffee pretty good in the am. Breakfast was ok just be ready for really slow service . The rooms on south end much quieter that the north end rooms because a club plays loud music to the north for a lot of the night so was glad we were far from that. The shower and tap is salty , probably the main thing was lack of air conditioning and fans that didn’t blow air very well. So room was always sticky and borderline uncomfortable for sleeping. Can’t imagine how hot it would be in spring and summer. Would stay again but only in ac room! We loved layin by the pool everyday .

The setting was very unique and interesting. The room we had, had a great view. However, there was only one useable electrical outlet and the lighting was very poor. There were fans but no AC. Only one chair in the room. The slider door could not be locked from the inside. The available breakfast was in a resturant down the street a bit and was ok but very limited unless you upgraded for 100 or 200 pesos.

One of the first hotels in tulum so ground are large and full of vegetation. The pool on the beach is wonderful. Huge rooms with rustic past but a/c at night. Amazing beach location on the quiet side. This is not the place to stay if you want a dj and Fri is service on the beach. That said you’re next to Lula hotel who have great restaurant and wonderful yoga and fitness. Great for families, singles and couples who want a little old school tulum with a great central (but quiet) location.

Literally on the beach, in the area of boutique hotels which are usually smaller and higher value in terms of service and customers. The hotel is a little gem hosted in a luxuriant area. The room is huge with a view on the sea with strong wifi and a safe, no AC but you don t need one, the night breeze cools the room pretty well. The stafd is absolutely awesome, the breakfast was also good! Highly recommended

What a beautiful and wonderful place. Super close to the beach. Pick Amor Eterno if you’re booking as a couple. Right next to the pool and literally in front of the beach. Manager Eric was super attentive and so sweet.

Grande chambre confortable équipée avec un coffre-fort.Manque 1 ou 2 pose-bagages et une 2ème chaise. Réceptionniste franchement désagréable à notre arrivée.Il ne savait pas faire fonctionner son appareil pour les cartes bancaires et il a été désagréable.Heureusement un collègue lui a montré le fonctionnement mais aucune excuse pour autant.Donc gros stress inutile à notre arrivée… Salle de bains correcte.Il manque un sèche-cheveux et une boîte de mouchoirs en papier. Belle plage avec peu d’algues mais beaucoup de vagues quand nous étions là et peu de matelas disponibles. Petit déjeuner minimaliste.Les options pour un petit-déjeuner complet sont payantes. An amazing property at an affordable price. The room was gorgeous - with views of the beach and a front-row sunrise. Front desk was super helpful with recommendations. They arranged a taxi to take us to the Tulum ruins and then into town and back to the hotel. They recommended the scuba diving company - Mexidivers- who were excellent. Their dive shop is located on the beach, so you can rent a bike for the day and cycle there and back which will be a lot cheaper than arranging for pick up and drop off. The hotel is in a crazy expensive area for dining - so be prepared if you don’t have transportation. Meals and taxis are $$$$ - would recommend renting a car/bicycle and venturing along the coast or into Tulum.

We had a great week at Nueva Vida de Ramiro. The hotel is located in a more peaceful part of Tulum beach, with easy access to plenty of good restaurants. The premises have an exotic "jungly" vibe, with sandy pathways winding through lush tropical foliage. We stayed in room 24 --- The Extasis Corazon suite --- which is spacious and pleasant with a large deck overlooking the sea through palms. We felt total privacy and perfectly safe. We awoke each morning to the view of sunrise over the sea, and fell asleep at night to the sounds of waves crashing on the beach and palm trees swaying in the breeze. The gorgeous miles-long beach was a few steps from our room, and we never needed shoes while at the hotel. The beach has double sunbeds with cabanas that kept us cozy and cool. (Some seaweed was depositing on the beach toward the end of our stay, but this did not significantly diminish the special beauty of the place, nor can this be blamed on the hotel.) Breakfast is provided at the cozy Tamarindos restaurant across the street. We tasted almost everything on the menu for a small extra cost, and found the fare to be tasty and thoughtfully prepared, with excellent service. We felt very relaxed and well taken care of at Nueva Vida in Tulum. The staff were kind, helpful, friendly, and accommodating. We highly recommend this hotel as an outstanding and romantic place to spend a holiday.

We stayed here for five days and highly recommend it! All the staff were so helpful and friendly, anything we needed they took care of (including some guidance before we got there for booking transportation and tours). The breakfast on the beach is simple but tasty and filling. We had the tacos al pastor one lunchtime and it was some of the best tacos I have ever had! My only caution would be that it’s pretty far down the hotel strip and not very close to the more party-heavy areas, but that was what we were looking for.

On arrival we were told that we could not see the room before checking in and if we checked in then we couldn't regret the decision. Seemed super sketchy and we demanded to see the room before actually checking in. As expected the room was very poor and smelled moldy. They refused to give us a statement that we didn't want to check in and refused to help us cancel. All the positive reviews of this place are not real. We also were told by locals that it is a sketchy place and that they had been shut down previously.

For a two-star hotel it's phenomenal. The beach is perhaps the best my wife and I have ever stayed on and we have visited several including Hawaii, Florida, and California, Costa Rican and European beaches... and by far this was the nicest beach we've ever been on. The breakfast was very nice and overall the facilities were quite nice. Our only complaint would be that it would have been nice to have had just the ocean sounds rather than the base from a local Club playing until about 1:00 or 2:00 a.m. at night. Unfortunately this is preventing us from giving this stay a five-star review. My wife and I kind of checked it up to experience because we knew after reading other reviews others had reported the same thing. On a positive note you can always just think of it as the Jungle Beat. Haha

My stay on property was amazing. I was in room #1, I don’t think I could have been closer to the beach without being in the ocean. It was a wonderful room and the view from inside and on the balcony were unmatched. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Very short walk from all the higher energy clubs and bars so it was the best of both worlds.

You cannot beat the price for staying directly on the beach. My one complaint is more about Tulum than the property itself. The noise from the parties and clubs around the area can be heard throughout the night and also all of the prices of food are astronomically high compared to the rest of Mexico and even when I stayed in Akumal. Therefore, you save money on the hotel cost, but spend so much just to eat. I stayed in one of the bungalows at the edge of the property and felt relatively safe as a single woman.

We stayed at Nueva Vida in our recent 9 day visit to Tulum and we absolutely loved it here. We were not looking for an all inclusive experience and more of the smaller eco lodge and we were not disappoint. Our room (Coral) was easy to get to the main road and just a minute walk to the beach. It was clean, comfortable and included a fan - which made the humidity tolerable. Housekeeping did an amazing job of keeping everything fresh and clean each day. We loved having breakfast included, and the food was quite good. The hotel had beach lounges that were always available which was a huge plus. The Nueva Vida location is extremely convenient as it is a 5 minute walk in either direction to great dining, shopping, and spas. While we had a car, we didn’t really use it much. We absolutely loved our stay here and would highly recommend it if you are looking for an eco lodge feel and not the AI compound feel.

My son and I stayed for a week and will be back. The bungalows were very clean. We were moved from one that had an issue with the AC. The beach was simply amazing, the pool was wonderful. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and being able to order lunch on the beach and drinks was a treat. Electricity in Tulum is not healthy for electronics so thankfully, I had four charging blocks that I used to charge our phones and cameras. The restaurant of the hotel is across the street and was delicious. I can’t wait to go back.

Grande chambre confortable équipée avec un coffre-fort.Manque 1 ou 2 pose-bagages et une 2ème chaise. Réceptionniste franchement désagréable à notre arrivée.Il ne savait pas faire fonctionner son appareil pour les cartes bancaires et il a été désagréable.Heureusement un collègue lui a montré le fonctionnement mais aucune excuse pour autant.Donc gros stress inutile à notre arrivée… Salle de bains correcte.Il manque un sèche-cheveux et une boîte de mouchoirs en papier. Belle plage avec peu d’algues mais beaucoup de vagues quand nous étions là et peu de matelas disponibles. Petit déjeuner minimaliste.Les options pour un petit-déjeuner complet sont payantes. Bref,rapport qualité/prix moyen.

I'm so glad I found this place by luck. Nueva Vida is completely different from the monotonous resort / day-club scene that prevails in Tulum. Frankly, the photos and listing here don't do it justice. The grounds and garden setting are fantastic. Each bungalow or room is creative and different. If stairs don't bother you, Estrella del Amanecer (#18) was an excellent choice. The staff were helpful and friendly, sometimes going out of their way to help. Their English was excellent. When I asked how much (a common question in overpriced Tulum) for coconuts they opened for us, the staff member replied "free" when he could have charged. Ricardo at the front desk was especially honest, genuine, and helpful. The generous breakfast is held in a real restaurant -- better than the usual low-effort reception breakfast. The WiFi was fast and reliable in our room. Guests get a large jar of safe drinking water in their rooms refilled daily. Helpful for reducing plastic bottles, although not enough for two people for 24 hours. Daily housekeeping was superb. Shower was surprisingly hot. Mosquitoes are a nuisance after rains -- but that's the price for feeling like you're staying in a jungle! Nueva Vida is -just- far enough from the thumping music that you can still hear it, but I didn't find it annoying. The beach area in front and little cabanas / mattresses were cozy and located away from the crowds. I would 100 percent recommend this romantic place for a stay in Tulum!

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel; though the expectations for the room's facilities or condition should be low. The room (Viento del Mar) was very basic, with no air-conditioning and one insect-screen to be able to leave the window open. The ocean view was great, and once you get the the trick of the right currents through the room using the fan and open windows, we slept well. The water in the shower and bathroom doesn't seem right so we should have perhaps brushed our teeth with bottle water. But no serious incidents occurred. The beach has public access and limited hotel users so we were always able to chill out on the sunbeds or chairs. The staff were extremely friendly; the food from across the road at Tamarind was great, though a bit pricey but in line with other restaurants in Tulum. We opted to upgrade our breakfast on occasion for 100pesos and would highly recommend the (vegan) pancakes. The basic eggs were very tasty though! We would book again if we had to return to Tulum. One thing to note is that the road outside the hotel is very narrow and gets easily blocked with cars parking on the side of the road. Walking isn't really recommended in that instance so it makes it a bit hard to get out and buy items from the few stores that are around, unless you use a car. There was water in the room which was a nice added touch and greatly appreciated!

We stayed at Nueva Vida in our recent 9 day visit to Tulum and we absolutely loved it here. We were not looking for an all inclusive experience and more of the smaller eco lodge and we were not disappoint. Our room (Coral) was easy to get to the main road and just a minute walk to the beach. It was clean, comfortable and included a fan - which made the humidity tolerable. Housekeeping did an amazing job of keeping everything fresh and clean each day. We loved having breakfast included, and the food was quite good. The hotel had beach lounges that were always available which was a huge plus. The Nueva Vida location is extremely convenient as it is a 5 minute walk in either direction to great dining, shopping, and spas. While we had a car, we didn’t really use it much. We absolutely loved our stay here and would highly recommend it if you are looking for an eco lodge feel and not the AI compound feel.

Fantastisk fint beläget mitt på stranden, på en lite lungnare del av den enorma stranden. Den tropiska känslan är bevarad på ett bra sätt, kanske skulle de städa lite mer kring poolen etc. Granne till beach clubs och restauranger om man vill ha det. Frukosten var undermålig med väldigt dålig service från stressade tonåringar som inte riktigt vet vad service innebär. Endast ett glas vattnig vattenmelon juice och en rostad brödskiva med scrambled eggs och kaffe. Och är något slut så är det slut och du får isf köpa till det själv.övrig service var toppen. En sak att komma ihåg är att det är dyrt i Tulum genomsnittligt 50-100% dyrare på allt än i Sverige, men man slipper då dock badbollar och picknick familjer på stranden, dvs en total kontrast till playa del Carmen som bara är en stor kommersiell hysterisk circus på alla sätt.

La habitacion está muy linda y en realidad todo el entorno, lo único es que el hotel no tiene restaurante, aunque nuestro desayuno era incluido; el servicio es en un restaurante frente al hotel, con buen servicio pero muy básico la comida sin variedad, el restaurante no era muy agradable pues está al descubierto y sin abanicos menos clima.

My comment will be a bit tricky, under normal circumstances I would rate the place with 5 star, it is really nice spot to stay but we have very "BIG BUT" : Our stay date was is the low season which we were not aware, when we arrived the hotel was literally closed, there was no open facility to have even a drink, we warned about wild life i.e for the raccoons etc. we felt very nervous to continue to our stay and left the hotel in 15 minutes after check-in. We believe that; these situations should be clearly mentioned during the booking stage or the Hotel must be closed during the off season, if they offer poor service. Also, the room prices were not cheap despite this conditions. We didn't ask for refund but we naturally expected to receive this offer by the hotel, but nothing happened despite we decided to leave the hotel. Stay away during the off season.

The Ola suite was perfect! Just steps to the ocean and we even slept with the doors wide open to enjoy the ocean breeze and sound of waves all night. We felt very safe. The breakfast and lunches we had there were excellent! They brought us food and drinks to our cabana, the beach bed and the pool. They all went above and way beyond to take care of us. They even went to the pharmacy for us. Rooms were cleaned every day. It really was the perfect relaxing paradise we were looking for. The view was magical!
