The Hoxton, Shepherds Bush

Really good hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Our room was upgraded at check in and it was lovely - very comfortable with a great shower. The hotel bar was really nice. We would definitely recommend this hotel, we will be using it again next time we go to a gig at Shepherds Bush Empire.

Trendy spot. Really buzzy bar and restaurant, “Chets”. Room was a little on the smaller side but was expected. Nice bathroom. Slept very well - no noise from roads etc. Air conditioning very good. Fabulous lighting in the room too - really warm and chic. Plenty of space downstairs in the lobby/bar/“apartment” to catch up on a few emails before catching taxi to the airport. Staff very attentive - and lovely - at reception. Were more than happy to keep me stocked with water, coffee bags etc. I stayed here off a recommendation and would happily recommend it to anyone else! And it was easy for me to get to London Olympia Event space which is why I was there.

The staff was amazing. Very attentive! The restaurant within the Hotel (Chet’s) has a very gourmet menu set in an American dining style.The full bar has everything you can imagine! I would stay here again, maybe a larger room. Met a wonderful friend Justina! She knew her stuff!

Wonderful stay at The Hoxton, stayed with them in Amsterdam severel times. Fist time to stay in their hotel in London. Fantastic rooms, perfect location, close so a huge mall with several shops, close to underground and buses. Walkng distance to both Notting Hill and Hammersmith. Staff was very friendly and helpful at the reception. the rooms clean and had evrything you need. Good vibe at the hotel with an DJ on friday night!

Hotel has a welcoming, busy & vibrant vibe. Friendly reception staff. Room we had was a Cosy Park, it was big enough and I’d say a standard sized hotel room. Room was very clean, with a fridge, kettle, desk, large tv was a bonus! Bathroom was gorgeous, large rain shower. The heating controls might confuse some as you have to tap a few times to line up with the option you require. Very heavy traffic outside and a huge amount of blue light vehicles. Saying that, it quietened down overnight and didn’t disturb sleep at all. Bed was very comfy. Liked the different artwork around the hotel that wasn’t just ‘stock’ photos. Liked the local ‘tips’ at the entry to the lifts. Area around is one to be aware of, lots of men hanging around. There’s also a blood control kit on a wall near the BP garage as there’s been some serious crime in the area. Lots of bikes and delivery scooters on the pavement outside hotel can be dangerous. All in all just sensible precautions of your surroundings and you should be fine. Shepherd’s Bush Market tube just a few min walk around the corner or Shepherd’s Bush tube the other station is just slightly longer on the other side of the park. Didn’t have breakfast or dinner at the hotel but that area was always buzzing and had a nice vibe. Would stay again and it’s dog friendly so our well behaved Miniature Schnauzer had a lovely stay and they don’t charge anymore for a pet to stay which is wonderful.

Positives - very nice modern hotel, good location, comfortable room, staff mainly friendly, bar and front terrace were smart, able to leave luggage 7hrs after checkout. Negatives - asked for iron on arrival, then room make-up following day - neither were done until we chased it up. Bar quite expensive, and was left waiting for service a couple of times, Snack/nibble option there, should it be chargeable if having drinks? Outdoor terrace option at back wasn't there as option for evening. Felt there was an element of big city complacency that you experience more in major tourist/business cities.

The Hoxton is a relatively new hotel, and has been styled without character or charm. Security at the front desk was not what I was expecting throughout my stay. It didn’t make the hotel feel safe. The room was small (even though it was sold as premium). The view of the park was ok. On arrival there was a strong sewage smell in the bathroom but disappeared after showers. There were staff walking the corridors with air freshener as well so something must have been up! The room was average, the aircon not effective immediately but took time to cool the room. An average hotel stay. Have visited better hotels in the last month with more comfort, charm and facilities.

Great location for exploring London given the close by Overground & the Underground station beyond that. The pipes have some issues (water wasn’t always available for short periods), & the on-demand room cleaning sounds great but is not dependable—sometimes it just doesn’t happen despite an acknowledged request. This hotel is probably better for short stays.

It took an hour and half to get room food service. It took 30 minutes to get through in the first place. I called receptionist twice.also i asked for room to be cleaned aat 9 am and still wasnt done by 3.pm

I loved the location of this hotel - there are two underground stations within 10 minutes of the hotel. The staff were nice upon check in and out, process was seamless. The biggest con was room cleaning - you will need request to have your rooms cleaned which I understand. I asked for the room cleaned 4 times within 2 days to have the room cleaned the one time - it was never cleaned. When I called to ask what was going on - they apologized and saw I had made a cleaning request but no compensation were made. I had to tell them to sent a cleaner the same hour, since the trust was broken. I sat on the hotel floor for an hour while watching the cleaner clean my room. The trash wasn't taken out in the room nor the trash by the hotel door. I just expected more from a hotel chain and I paid a decent amount for this hotel. I would stay at this hotel mainly for the location but for the price I paid - I would find another location for next time

The spotless clean room. The "little" breakfast offered in a bag at the door hook. The coffee maker in the room, plus the free supply of coffee and water on demand. The big bathroom and room ( we had cosy room park view ). The big and very comfortable bed and pillows. The good wine list at the bar and at the restaurant. Nice and helpfull staff at the reception and at the restaurant.

Stayed 2 nights (2 rooms) for a trip to Wimbledon. On return to the hotel we found our rooms had not been cleaned. Reception informed us that rooms were only serviced on request but no one had mentioned this at check-in and no information about this in the room. Housekeeping staff were not available at this time. Better communication would be helpful.

Hotel was well designed, comfotable and in a good location. 2 minute walk to Underground and Westfield. No housekeeping service, had to request clean towels, tea-bags, milk etc. But they were brougjt to our room very quickly. We ate dinner in Chets which was really good. Nice seating area at the front of the hotel. There was the option to have a grab and go breakfast delivered to the room which was ideal as we had an early start.

The most amazing bed and pillows.

Small room but super comfy bed. Lobby was a great place to hang out or get some work done.

This hotel was ok but the room was very boxy as in not much room to move about, the shower was tiny and the door opened inward instead of outward so I was constantly banging my arm on something trying to close it. The bed was uncomfortable, I barely slept while here.

Great stay and windowless rooms in basement are quiet for sure you will get a good sleep. Bathroom a bit smaller than for other Hoxton rooms so did feel a bit basic rather than luxury but still good value for money.

Very noisy loud banging during the night like to a door or elevator bashing very loud ! Little or no sleep

The staff at the hotel were very welcoming and friendly. However, the room was disappointing. The shower was very weak, the TV channels were basic, the pillows were so huge that they were not comfortable, the duvet was too thick for a summer season. It was spotlesslessly clean. The breakfast was expensive for what it was - coffee, juice and limited choice other than eggs. I have never been to a hotel where breakfast didn't include cereal or toast/jam, as well as a hot option. They did provide gluten free toast and eggs without a problem. It seemed as if the hotel was more about looks than the basics - it was elegant and attractive but not functional.

If you are two or plan to spend any time in your room don’t get the snug. Snug is an understatement. Otherwise great

Really clean, lovely staff. In a horrible area but felt safe in the hotel. Rooms need better soundproofing, I could hear doors slamming in rooms above and adjacent throughout the night.

reception staff unfriendly and arrogant

From start to finish my stay at The Hoxton was incredible. I’ve stayed at many different properties in London and this one was by far the best service and atmosphere. The young man who checked us in HOURSSSS early with no extra fee, excellent… the young woman who works at Chet’s from Spain, such a kind person, the young woman from Poland at the bar, super sweet, and Rihanna at check out was the best way to end things. Only slight complaint I had was the first floor was noisy after midnight with slamming doors, when I voiced to Rihanna she was empathetic and offered coffee or anything to help perk my day up. She was lovely. The room was clean and aesthetically pleasing, the bathroom was a good size for London, and the bed was very comfy, with a good amount of usable pillows. I will be a Hoxton fan for life. Thank you for making my mom’s first trip to London so memorable with your kindness! You guys are a true gem! It should not be considered luxury to be treated kindly, but you make it second nature.

All in all had a nice stay and was a great location for my visit. However I felt the service in the bar area was poor. Always seemed to be a lack of staff. Staff that were on the bar seemed to have no urgency whatsoever. Just a lack of self motivation. Restaurant service was a little better.

Excellent location steps from a tube stop. Excellent restaurant and drinks. Comfortable clean and spacious enough rooms. Had to ask them to restock water/toilet paper/towels and didn’t come in to make our beds once in our 5 night stay. I’m sure they would’ve if we asked. Friendly and nice staff. For whatever reason they charged something on our credit card after our stay without an explanation in an email so I will have to look into this

I've stayed at numerous Hoxton properties in several countries, and I've never had a bad stay. Staff at this particular location were incredibly helpful, and the rooms are lovely.

Was really impressed with the Hoxton. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived. The room was small but plenty big enough for our needs…it was well maintained with a really comfy bed. Plus it’s only 2 mins from the tube. All in all it was excellent value for money compared with other London hotels and I would definitely stay there again.

I have used Hoxton Hotels many times over the years and they are generally great. This new one has potential but the service is still terrible. Check in was a mess and they got my details wrong ... tried to get them corrected at checkout but still have not received a receipt. No iron in the room so called down for one. 20 minutes later = no iron ... so I called back ... promised to get one. 15 minutes later = no itron. Called back and told "no irons available" but promised to leave one outside my door early next morning. Next morning no iron ... called down a total of 7 more times ... an hour later I got an ironing board ... but still no iron!!! Eventually checked out in creased clothes after a 9 hour ten call wait for an iron. Not good enough Hoxton ... 5 stars became 1

The neighborhood has a wonderful local, relaxed feel and charm - a nice change of pace from the more bustling London areas. The hotel is close to tube and overground stations, bus, and only 30 mins car ride to LHR, which is a plus. Our room faced the park/street but was incredibly quiet. Great hotel design, comfy bed. I would stay again.

Lovely hotel, staff friendly and room clean and modern. Close to tube stations to explore and Westfield for shopping. Definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

The hotel was clean and nicely decorated. The hotel is located between two underground stations for quick travel around London.

Staff super friendly and helpful. From Shepherds bush station to the hotel, you pass through a bit dodgy street but apart from that, excellent location.

Property is great! Only low score is the area but didn't affect my stay. It's an area that is slowly getting modernised. But still quite rough in parts.

Amazing hotel, beautiful rooms. Super convenient location but worth being aware the area can turn a bit late at night. I’d not want to have travelled alone but as soon as in the hotel felt very safe.

Breakfast was mediocre

We stayed at The Hoxton, whilst we ventured to Shepherds Bush to see Teddy Swims at the Empire and we had a fabulous stay. Lovely rooms, pretty views of the park, helpful & friendly staff, great food (Definitely recommend Chets), easy access to the Empire and a few nearby pubs/bars, food take outs, etc. Thank you!

Breakfast good but expensive

Modern hotel built to an amazing standard. Room was very clean. Staff on welcome attentive and helpful. Quiet sleep and very comfy bed. Marked down slightly for the breakfast. Having paid £50 extra for my wife and I, we were disappointed to be told our options. We both wanted a full English, which equated to some egg and sourdough plus one other from a list, eg sausage or bacon etc … just the one mind you, everything else was £3 extra. One coffee or tea with no top up offered and no fruit juice etc .. this just stuck in the throat a little. I would add the staff were very helpful and the setting fab. In summary a great hotel with brill staff, it was the tiny extra bits that have been trimmed out, eg no biscuit in £280 room on arrival, that you remember.

I really like this hotel but I wasn't impressed with the service in the restaurant. Also, I had problems with the television set. Both times, I had to call reception to come up and fix it.

Nice view from the window! Central and close to the metro. Clean! Hotel has a nice vibe to it! Only complaint would be the linens, on day 3 I could literally touch and feel the detergent on them, it smelled heavy as well, hopefully just an accident, as it wasn’t like that the first night. Service at the reception is polite and helpful. Restaurant at the hotel is absolutely mad (in the worst way possible), ambiguous about allergies, my friend ordered to go, the food took long and that is one thing but the fact that she asked for the bill and had to wait more than 20 minutes and only got it after asking a different waitress, she ordered a bottle of soda which also took unreasonably long.

Great room, but breakfast can be had somewhere else. No buffet, you order tiny rations. Good for environment some would say, but takes the joy of breakfast on a nice trip

Great hotel. Comfortable room with nice views over the green. Comfortable bed and a good shower. Let down by one of the worst hotel breakfasts I can remember. I was expecting the same menu as the Hoxton Shoreditch, it’s one of the reasons I booked as the breakfast there is fantastic. But the menu here is odd. You can almost get a deconstructed cooked breakfast by ordering sides of sausage and hash brown. But no cooked breakfast. What in the name of double reverse hipster is this. The rest of the menu was so uninspiring. There was a table next to me also looking at the menu in dis belief and we exchanged a confused glance and made a face. I ordered avocado toast and it arrived COVERED in shredded spring onion. This is a garnish that I’m sure nobody has ever asked for. Completely ruined it. Served with the poached egg I paid extra for which had clearly been cooked the day before it was so dry. I had 2 bites of the avocado toast and left it. Nobody came over to enquire why my plate was on the edge of the table. On check out nobody asked how my stay was. Would happily stay here again but I wouldn’t eat
