Hotel was listed 5 miles from the Miami airport but it took approximately 30 minutes with traffic. They provide an airport shuttle but what they don’t tell you is it runs every two hours. We arrived five minutes after the previous shuttle so we had to get a taxi rather than wait 2 hrs for the next shuttle. We arrived on a Monday afternoon and was surprised to hear that their only restaurant was closed on Mondays. We ended up going out to eat dinner. They offer a very nice free breakfast with waffles, eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, toast, fruit, coffee, etc. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and had fridge and microwave.

All info prior to trip stated that the shuttle from airport to hotel would run until 11pm. We called and was told they stopped at 830pm so we had to pay for a ride service...an extra $100 not anticipated

Airport Shittle advertised 6:00am to 11:pm . Called for pickup as instructed at 8:35 pm and was told that shuttle was finished for the night . Runs till 8:30pm or 9:00pm chose hotel because of shuttle , paid $38. For transport . SMH !

Do NOT expect this hotel to provide a free shuttle to the airport! They have ONE small van and just tell you to find another way to the airport because it's already full. One guest flagged down the hotel van at the airport in a downpour, ony to be told the available spaces were being saved for airline employees. They lost the reservation for one of the rooms we reserved with no other rooms available. Showing them proof of our hotels.com reseration made no difference. Breakfast was HORRIBLE - powdered eggs and very little else. Don't stay here!

One elevator was out of order so wait time was extended. Our flight was delayed and shuttle service stops at 8:30 so had to Uber to hotel. Shuttle next day was good. Breakfast was ok, very crowded area.

I picked this hotel partly because it had an airport shuttle. A couple of weeks before arrival, I contacted the hotel and asked how to find the shuttle - they sent me information about calling a number once I arrived, and that their shuttle would be available until 11 PM. When I arrived at the airport at 9 pm, I followed their instructions, only to be told that their last shuttle was at 8 PM and I would have to find my own transportation to the hotel. Very annoying, and no recompense offered despite being given wrong information. If I had known this ahead of time, I would’ve booked a different hotel.

Would not recommend this hotel. The rooms and hotel was not clean and in need of serious repair. Paint new carpet in rooms as well as general maintenance needs to be done. The wall outlet by our bed had scorch marks up the wall. The bathroom had hair on the floor and shower. Air conditioner was so noisy you could hardly sleep, needs an update. The staff in the restaurant seemed generally unhappy to have us there, the food was ok. Cost for our stay was way more than I feel it was worth.

The cleanness of the room is unacceptable. The carpets are cleaned at least month ago. All furnitures are whipped with dirty mops. I put a bag on a table and now it’s full of oil. Not able to clean it.

Room was not clean when I checked in. The shower had a bunch of hair on the drain, bar soap that was used. The bed sheets had stains. The faucet did not have much running water. The pillows were very small. I wasn’t offered another room.

Sheets are not even white anymore, grey. Air conditioning control didnt work, 3 pillows on a king bed for 2 people, not ecofriendly breakfast tableware, not real food either. Better options available for the same price around the same area. Would not book again.

For $150 a night I expected better. The shower was moldy, towels were thread bare and dingy looking, and the bed and pillows smelled musty and bad. We got in about 7:30 pm and it took the shuttle over 30 minutes to pick us up after we called, twice. Decided to eat in their restaurant and the service was horrible. It took over an hour to get our sandwich, fries and salad and then it wasn't even hot. The staff was more interested in watching the basketball game than helping patrons. I asked for a washcloth since there was only one in the room and the desk agent gave us a hand towel because he didn't want to have to go to the other floor to get one. This was the first and last time we will ever stay there.

I liked the brightness of the room, the space and the layout was very comfortable. Left early so couldn’t experience anything about dining. Bathroom was the only thing that had one negative thing which was the shower had hair from a previous guest and the shower floor felt sticky

I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. The carpet didn’t seem properly vacuumed, there were hairs in the shower, and I even found a long hair on one of the pillows. Cleanliness is a basic expectation, and unfortunately, it wasn’t met during my stay.

I booked here because of the airport shuttle but then we couldn’t use it because it didn’t start until 6 AM. It also only runs every hour not every half hour. The place was clean and comfortable. We tried to utilize the very nice veranda but they had one song on repeat and that got very annoying at night. They had live music that went on until after 1130 at night and it was so loud we could hear the vibrations of the beat all the way up on the third floor so sleeping wasn’t so easy and we had a very early flight.

My stay at Wingates was great but my unacceptable experience came after checkout. I'm still waiting for a refund to my credit card or even a response to the many emails I sent regarding my refund. Also my reservation said pay on arrival but my card was charged prior my arrival which created issues.

Front desk at check in and check out was extremely rude! I told her to please be kind and have a nice day and she rolled her eyes at me and said something in Spanish. We all have bad days but the next day wasn’t any better. Hotel was moldy, our towels weren’t clean, the frigates was broke, the coffee pot had leftover coffee in it and the bathtub/shower wasn’t clean!

Security deposit was not identified on-site for reservations, which was a surprise/unexpected The plane landed at 0930, made it to the hotel at 1100, and was told I could not check-in. The hotel was not full. We had to drive around until 3 pm and wasted a lot of time. Staff not good at customer service. One cleaning member pushed past my wife, me, and another couple exiting the elevator for her to get on and press the floor before we were off. Desk personnel was complaining about other customers and their requests for extra pillows in front of my wife and I, not realizing we spoke Spanish.

Front staff was horrible! And rude she could care less to do her job. And is probably why this was the only place not sold out of rooms for the weekend. She needs to change her attitude or not be the first face the guest experiences.

Our plane landed after 9:30. I was unaware that the shuttle stopped at 8 PM. That’s on me. We Ubered to the hotel and got there around 10:30 PM on a Friday night. The restaurant and bar was closed, so food and drinks were scarce. The 2 nights we were there the POS system for the 24 hour mini market for snacks and drinks was down so there was no way to get any refreshments or snacks. The front desk did let me know that there was a gas station convenience store that was a 5 minute walk away but offered no other options or support. The breakfast was deplorable. The scrambled eggs were clearly powdered and reconstituted. The coffee the first morning was cold. The only fruit offered was apples. It was sad. Will not rebook.

The room was very clean a bit outdated the whole hotel but for a short stay is ok The breakfast was horrible. Very little to offer also when 9:00 am came around they started closing things up with no regards that you were finishing getting your food. Let me clear I was there with plenty of time before the closing time. Found it very disappointed.

Very good location. Clean hotel--but the property and amenities could use some updating. Towels were very thin. Staff was friendly. Restaurant had very limited menu. Free breakfast was sub-par. Scrambled eggs were not warm, but milk for the cereal was. One choice of fruit--apples, only white bread available--no wheat bread or bagels. Would have been better to have pre-packaged muffins.

Very comfy bed and nice room, easy parking and situated off a main road so it was nice and quiet for an airport hotel. Restaurant wasn't open so I recommend ordering Papa Johns. Breakfast contained powdered scrambled egg and tasteless oatmeal and you had to pay extra to get decent coffee.

The restaurant was fabulous and the drinks were strong. The room was lovely and very clean. The only slight negative was that there was frequently no one at the desk. But it all worked out just fine. I willl definitely stay here again.
