I stayed at Oleo for a solo birthday trip. I had an amazing time. My room included a balcony and view of the ocean. The staff was friendly and there were dining options on the resort itself. The spa was relaxing and beautiful. The only thing I did not like was the 8pm closure of the pool. I would have liked for it to be open later or stay open in general. Durning the day it became crowded and having it to myself at night where it is quiet and peaceful would have been nice. Overall it was a pleasure staying in this resort.

Food was ok. Room was clean and nice. But this is definitely not a 4 star resort. Pool is very small and crowded. You better wake up early and put your towel on a pool chair if you want a place to sit. Most of the umbrellas are broken. They walked around and closed up about half of them in the middle of the day and said they broke. Very Strange. So bring plenty of sun block. As soon as you get there they try and sell you an upgraded package. You need this upgraded package to get certain liquor (Jack Daniels, Jim beam, etc. to many to list) definitely not all inclusive. Not a bad resort just older and small.

We stayed 4 nights and we were impressed from check in to check out. Check in and check out was quick and easy. Room was clean and bright. Fun at the pool with trivia and contests during the day. Felipe the pool bartender was amazing. Always smiling and treated us like family. Almar and Hakka Restaurants service and food were impeccable. El Botanero pool side restaurant's tacos were the best. Sheila the server at El Bonanero was so sweet, friendly, and attentive. Enrique at the lobby bar was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Only downside was the resort allowing guests to reserve pool chairs with towels even though it is clearly stated on the Oleo app that it is not allowed. Chairs were all taken every morning by 8 am even though no one was in the pool. Also building 3 only had 1 working elevator which was inconvenient. But overall our experience was top notch.

Property is well maintained and modern. The pool is small and there is limited entertainment. The beach and the spa were the highlights of this hotel for me. Food was good but choices were limited. Drinks were strong. I was asked numerous times to do the presentation and when finally agreeing I was upfront that I would not purchase it. After the presentation taking quite a while I respectfully declined and the sales person was not as friendly or personable after that. Christina and Nataly at the spa were both amazing.

I arrived a day late due to missing my flight. Was told that my reservation was change only to arrive and be told that wasn’t tried so I was penalized a night. The resort was smaller so everything was limited. Only one pool. The pool that was pictured was only accessible if you purchased a pass in the spa. I prob would not come back

Overall this was a great stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Also attentive. We also tried the spa and it was great. We had the pool to ourselves. The downside was that the pool chairs were always full and it was hard to find seating. However, the spa made up for it. Also, the wifi was pretty spotty but didn't care as I wanted to be off the grid so it worked in my favor. Overall would definitely come back.

The hotel was dirty, and very old looking and uncomfortable. Switched to another hotel due to this and tried to get a refund because it was nothing like the pictures and because of how me and my family felt and we never got a response on the refund. Very rude when e we let them know we would be leaving the hotel.

The beach is absolutely beautiful and the food and coffee is really good however the hallways are pretty dirty and there’s dishes left on the floors. We had an incident where a little reptile got into the room. When we came down to the reception and asked for help. In the workers very own words, “What do you want to do”. There are very few workers with excellent costumer service and a positive attitude.

Do not ever stay at this hotel. The property is extremely dirty and looks very old. Everything is broken — nightstands, closets, sinks, toilets, door handles — nothing works properly, and most things feel like they are about to fall apart. It was filthy everywhere, as if the place is never cleaned. The beds were impossible to sleep on: extremely hard, with the cheapest mattresses and low-quality bedding. The room smelled like paint, and I woke up with a headache. The room itself was tiny, with just one sink and a very small shower with no hot water, only barely lukewarm. The walls and doors were paper thin, so I could hear people arguing in the hallway all night. I even called security, but it didn’t help. The food was absolutely terrible. It looked spoiled and unappetizing, with almost no variety. There was no real meat or fish, just old salads, rice, and low-quality desserts. Everything seemed like it had been sitting out for days, and I was afraid to eat anything. Less than 24 hours at this hotel, and I couldn’t eat a single meal. The restaurant itself smelled bad too. The beach was dirty, and the pools were very small. The staff was rude and unprofessional. There is not a single positive thing about this place. The photos you see online (including on Expedia) are heavily edited in Photoshop to mislead guests — the reality is nothing like the pictures. We only booked this hotel for one night because our flight was canceled, and I regret even staying here for one night.

Was a nice little resort to relax on vacation and enjoy the weather. Not a party resort! The downside to this resort was the cleanliness. Our bathroom faucet had some growth all over it and it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in some time. The windows to the room were absolutely filthy as well, so no view to really look out to from the room. A little rough around the edges

The Caribbean Ocean sets the scene for this breathtakingly beautiful resort! Check in was fairly easy and quick. Arrived late due to flight delays but was still upgraded on my room. Staff was helpful and kind. I did find the service to be lacking around the pool and at the Asian restaurant. My room was on the 9th floor, corner ocean view and nothing short of spectacular! I absolutely cherished that view daily, appreciate the upgrade with my Expedia perks! Bed and room had everything I needed and was super comfortable. Loved the coffee shop, Mediterranean Restaurant, and close beach access. It’s also only 15 minutes from the airport. Would love to return in the future. Small boutique hotel that wasn’t super expensive but felt like it was!

My family was extremely happy staying at Oleo, from first impression when Alberto and Diego made out check in experience one of the best. Every day we ran into our friendly faces host Mariano, Antonio the bar tender, Gerry, alexis. The rooms were too notch views. Extremely clean. You won’t regret it

The only issue I had was check in being 30 minutes behind and having to wait. The water in the hotel didn’t get hot at all. The service was good and the food was decent !!! The overall stay was good!!

The room we stayed in was very basic, very plain. The view was terrible! Plus there was a huge dead bird on the roof, in our view. Staff were friendly but some didn’t speak or understand English. The drinks were good, loved the swim up bar. Most of the same foods were served at the buffet everyday. Room service takes a while to come. Elevators are extremely small. Not many stores around the area, there’s a restaurant across the street and a small convenience store a little further down but that’s all nothing else is walking distance. Overall, I would say the stay was OK not too bad but I would say that I won’t be staying there again.

We didn’t get housekeeping one of the days and didn’t even really get a clear reason as to why, we requested towels since our room wasn’t cleaned and they said they were sending someone and that didn’t happen either. The food options especially at the buffet are really limited, there are only 2 bars on the entire property with one of them closing at 7pm. Overall decent resort if you’re looking for something more on the quiet side, definitely not if you’re looking for more of a fun party atmosphere.

We absolutely loved Oleo. The hotel is beautiful, the beach is clean, and our room was lovely. This is not your typical mega-resort — it has more of a boutique feel, which we really enjoyed. We had breakfast at Azul every morning on the patio overlooking the ocean. Don’t forget to ask for hot coffee and bacon, since those aren’t on the buffet. The omelet station, fresh fruit and juices, and oatmeal were my favorites. We ate at both specialty restaurants and loved them — no reservations needed, and the views were gorgeous. The beach is very clean and walkable. The pool music is fun, and the drinks were great. We used the excursion desk for two different outings, and they handled everything perfectly. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a welcome drink and the hospitality continued throughout our stay. We tried the lunch buffet by the pool one day and it was just okay, so I would stick with the main buffet restaurant instead. We absolutely loved Oleo. The hotel is beautiful, the beach is clean, and our room was lovely. This is not your typical mega-resort — it has more of a boutique feel, which we really enjoyed. We had breakfast at Azul every morning on the patio overlooking the ocean. Don’t forget to ask for hot coffee and bacon, since those aren’t on the buffet. The omelet station, fresh fruit and juices, and oatmeal were my favorites. We ate at both specialty restaurants and loved them — no reservations needed, and the views were gorgeous. The beach is very clean and walkable. The pool music is fun, and the drinks were great. We used the excursion desk for two different outings, and they handled everything perfectly. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a welcome drink and the hospitality continued throughout our stay. We tried the lunch buffet by the pool one day and it was just okay, so I would stick with the main buffet restaurant instead. During check in I ask for a room upgrade despite them having an ocean view room available to upgrade me since I have vip amenity but staff stated those room does not qualify for room upgrade for vip guess but instead upgraded us to a slightly better room. Which is the first I have experience at a resort in Cancun. I have gotten upgrade for room as a vip with many other resort with no issue. Worst part is my friend who also came along to Cancun and stayed at the same resort to celebrate my birthday with me receive a room upgrade for the room that I was denied as a “vip” guess. Overall, I enjoyed my stay but would not come back due to food quality and selection.

Everyone and everything was really good. Our only negative feedback is the constant pressure to sell you products. Making offers and discounts that you have to negotiate or meet with another person etc. That should be more tuned in. Besides this small issue every day we had a great time and service was great

The staff was not friendly at all. Every time, we felt like they were just trying to deceive us. Initially, we were offered a presentation that was supposed to take 90 minutes, which was supposed to give us a 50% discount on tourist attractions. But in the end, it turned out that the operator gave anyone this discount, not 50%, but about 15-20%. When we asked the staff why they were fooling us with this, they tried to make us feel guilty about it. Then all the time, the staff treated every request as if we had come to their home, not an all-inclusive hotel. Also, on the way out, there was a very unpleasant situation. The transfer arrived much earlier than the scheduled time. The appointed time was at 7:00, the transfer to the airport arrived at 2:55. But the hotel staff did not inform us that the transfer had arrived, nor did they inform us that there was a transfer at all. We found out when we started asking them for this information. In general, I do not recommend this hotel for a hassle-free and pleasant stay.

The Caribbean Ocean sets the scene for this breathtakingly beautiful resort! Check in was fairly easy and quick. Arrived late due to flight delays but was still upgraded on my room. Staff was helpful and kind. I did find the service to be lacking around the pool and at the Asian restaurant. My room was on the 9th floor, corner ocean view and nothing short of spectacular! I absolutely cherished that view daily, appreciate the upgrade with my Expedia perks! Bed and room had everything I needed and was super comfortable. Loved the coffee shop, Mediterranean Restaurant, and close beach access. It’s also only 15 minutes from the airport. Would love to return in the future. Small boutique hotel that wasn’t super expensive but felt like it was!

Staff was very friendly and always helpful. Room was cleaned and mini fridge restocked every day. The guy who dealt with excursions was helpful with getting us the day trips planned. Turtles came onto the beach every night we were there to lay eggs! It was really cool. As far as transportation, there is a bus that stops right next to the resort that takes you to all the main areas. Buses will also stop at your resort and you just wait in the lobby if you have an excursion planned through the resort. Great food and overall quiet pool with great drinks.

Azul buffet was great lots of options, but did not like Alamar restaurant portions are too small and dry. For outside activities and transportation hotel staff were very helpful. Overall, good first time experience in a Cancun all inclusive. If your looking for a family friendly spot this would be it, not if your trying to drink and party it’s very quiet.

This is a great location right on the beach. The staff is amazing, and you won’t have to think about a thing for the entire trip. All food and beverages are included, and the place is well staffed and well run. The food is generous and well prepared, but not gourmet. The wine is pretty terrible, but it is Mexico, so you should be drinking rum and tequila anyway :-)

The best All-Inclusive experience I have ever had. I host my 40th Birthday girls trip here and everyone was happy with the cost, service, asthetic, and food. Teh food option were elite. Teh buffet was the highlight fro us. Teh dailu themes added to the variety.

Food was good, but relatively the same after 3 days at the buffet. Haka for dinner was great, sushi was delicious. Dress code is enforced during dinner service. Bed was very comfortable and clean. Was a quick stop from airport back and forth, but getting an uber ride back and forth between main hotel zone and resort felt long because of lights and congestion.

We were surprised to find delicious macarons & a bottle of champagne awaiting. The room was nice. Everything was very clean and fresh. Beds were comfy. Service throughout the week was exceptional in every area of the property. The pool area was kept immaculately clean. They kept things fun with games & activities. The Brown Bag (coffee shop) was very nice. We’d stop and get a latte on the way to Azul for breakfast most mornings. They also had self serve ice cream - yum! We purchased an excursion to Isla Mujeres at a good price and throughly enjoyed the experience! Dinner at Hakka (Asian) was quite tasty! We loved the salad bar at Almar. The poolside buffet was pretty good and convenient. Breakfast at Azul was nice, offering eggs cooked up fresh while you wait. Spa was fantastic! Things that need attention: food quality is far beneath the rest of the experience. It seems many things were prepared in advance and kept warm, resulting in dried out food, particularly meats. Absolutely superb customer service. I was treated like a celebrity. The masseuse Nataly was amazing and very talented. The reception during check-in was very attentive. The checkout receptionist went above and beyond and was very considerate of my situation not feeling well due to the indulgence. I'm a Solo traveler but I did not feel alone at any second. I highly recommend staying here I'm definitely coming back!
