Very loud! The walls are thin and you can hear everything around you. The Dish Network was out and I couldn’t stay signed into Netflix bc it would kick me out as soon as anything started playing. The internet was terrible! Won’t be staying here again.

The check in lady was so sweet, and the room was very nice for an aging property. Our only real issue was that the dog park area was not well kept - there was damage to part of the fence and people didn't clean up after their pups, so it wasn't safe to turn our puppy loose or play with her off leash.

Overall, the stay was decent. The staff were friendly, however I do have one or two gripes. There were no towels in our room at all when we checked in, like none at all. When I told the lady at the desk, she immediately got us some towels but it was weird for them not to be in there in the first place. There was a small amount of food waste behind the trash can the cleaning crew must have missed (1-2 cheeto pieces or something bright orange), and while the breakfast staff was very helpful, the pancake machine had a lot of issues and the breakfast was somewhat lackluster compared to other places I have been (even in the same town as this one). It was better than a continental breakfast, but still seemed like there's room for improvement. I'm glad it was more than just honey buns and bagels though. The hotel is in an excellent spot, close to a lot of shops and a short walking distance from the main parts of town. I like that it has rooms with exterior exits if that matters to people or not. There was plenty of parking and the top floor of the hotel had a pretty decent view of the mountains if you stepped outside the door in my opinion. You can't see the river from there, but I didn't expect to. The price was elevated because of a local event (Octoberfest) just like all the other hotels in the area, but was still lower than most the other hotels in the area. I would definitely stay here again if I attended this event again because of the pricing and location.

Had to change room 2x , tv not working in 2 rooms. Chair in 2rd room broken , sheets were stained. Pool was not open, it was green. Staff was very friendly. Rooms need updating very badly.

First we had 4 people staying and only 2 washcloths and 2 towels and only 3 pillows. When I went to office to get more she said they were expecting a crowd for the weekend and she didn’t have any. Second no WiFi no TV they said someone was working on it we seen no one working in it. There were 3 people in office the next morning to get there money back and they had been waiting on manager for hours. I wanted half my money back but no manager ever showed up. Will never stay there again!!!

The pictures do not do this place dose not look like pictures on the web . Took 3 times to get a good room . No breakfast bar . To speak of . Took the cream cheese out and was yellow from sitting there for so long . Pool was filthy. Must we say more.

Our room was not clean the way a hotel/motel room should be. Obviously the building is older so I expect things to be a bit wore down but that doesn’t not excuse the lack of cleaning! There was dog hair in the tub, dead bugs, dust and debris under the desk and smashed M&M melted to the floor. We did see a live roach unfortunately. Very disappointed on the cost. Like I said I know it’s an older building so I didn’t expect it to be a 5 star accommodation but I DO however EXPECT it to be clean! Water pressure wasn’t great but a change of the shower heads might help. The little carpet that is in the room next to the bed had an odor. Needs some carpet cleaning done. We weren’t the only people who had complained about the cleanliness either. Do Better Wyndham and Super 8!!!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was nasty!! Smelled bad, MOLDED pillows, broken toilet seat, water damaged ceiling and nasty carpet. Yeah it’s a super 8 but we’ve stayed in plenty that were fairly nice. I have never given a bad review but this place has to clean up!!

Room was dirty bugs in every corner. No rooms ready an hour after check in time. Finally got a room 1 wash cloth for 2 people. Room looked like it had not been really cleaned hair everywhere. Second day we were gone for 9 hours and the room had not been cleaned, finally brought us towels at 8 pm. We left a day early due to the condition of room and general neglect of the property. Room had a great view ofthe garbage dumpster right in front of our window.

Hotel room was filthy and clearly uncleaned or poorly cleaned. Crap on the toilet seat, big glob of hair stuck to the side of the tub, giant puddle of blue hand soap all around the coffee maker on the bathroom counter, floors were filthy and seems like they haven’t been vacuumed or mopped for a couple stays. Staff was friendly and helpful, but that doesn’t make sleeping in a room you know isn’t clean any better.

We booked this hotel on price and location, last minute, on our way to Helen, Ga. We, unfortunately, did not read the reviews. We got to the hotel at 4:30 a.m. Check in was smooth & the gentleman behind the counter was really nice. Our room on the other hand was absolutely disgusting. We got 2 beds & 1 of them was just nasty. It had dog hair, dirt, & whatever else all over the comforter. I didn't look no further than that. I ended up sleeping in the other bed (after an inspection) with my neice. The sink had "stuff" in it and the tub had hair & dirt in it. I was, honestly, in shock! I never write reviews, but this one deserved a review so no one else walks into what we did. PLEASE read reviews. Suprisingly enough this hotel has a 6.8 our 10 rating.

Location is great ! Could be cleaner btu i understand it is high traffic and people don't clean up after themselves but trash cans were over flowing, breakfast was very minimal and not always coffee, Room was clean, warm and no complaints but no deadlock on the doors so you just have to trust the door is safe, there were many loud guests but guessing that is to be expected with time of year. Staff was friendly and easy check in and out

The door had been kicked in and wouldn't close properly, there was a pill laying in the floor, the shower was nasty and the hot water didn't work. I called the desk clerk, she never got maintenance to come fix it, we were not able to take a shower. They wouldn't let us change rooms, it was disgusting

There are probably quite a few things that I can list but I'm just going to make it quick and simple. Probably the worst day I've ever had. Rooms apparently have just been renovated but it's a slop job and the room that we stayed in had no correct functioning TV and a water leak in the bathroom. We stayed one night and bailed out and left.

I booked a King jacuzzi room. Check-in was fine. The employee was great. However, when I went to use the in-room jacuzzi there was barely enough hot water to fill it a third of the way. Once I finally had enough water in the tub, when I turned on the jets, lots of black particles came out. Which means they are not deep-cleaning the jacuzzi tubs. So when you use one, there is no telling what you are sitting in. For this reason, I will not return.

Upon arrival unable to open door. Went back to office, was told sometimes you have to raise handle up instead of down. Went back up to room still didn’t work. Had to push in handle and pull handle up. The bed was worn, you could feel the springs in the mattress. The fitted sheet not longer fit on the bed so my husband and I were fighting to keep the fitted sheet on bed. Due to covid no housekeeping while in room, however housekeeping gave us plenty of towels. Walls are very thin and you could head conversations from other rooms. The person staying beside us had terrible sleep apnea and at one point I thought I was in the same room as them. The area was safe and easy to get to. Staff was very friendly and helpful, however the management or owner needs to update the linens and get some mattresses that aren’t sagging in the middle. Oh and fix the door.

We stayed here for one night, last minute. It was a good stay for the price. The room was clean and the hotel is walking distance to Cool River Tubing. The walls are very thin so you will hear your neighbors if you are a light sleeper. Easily fixed by ear plugs or bringing a loud fan.

The only complaint that I have concerns billing. There definitely seemed to be some type of issue when I checked in but I was told that everything was fine. The individual working the front desk was anything but helpful. Even though house keeping had many rooms open, he refused to clear the rooms in the system and just kept repeating check in was 4 pm, come back then. It was almost 3 pm and we driven 4 hours to get there and just wanted to change in our room.

The staff was excellent. Night and day shift. An important plus to note is the service began with my calling the front desk hours before I arrived(with questions of accomedations) and even after I returned home(we accidentally left some purchases in the room). It was a great place to return to after a long day.

The desk employee Randi was super sweet but new hire and was unable to complete my booking due to charges for deposit that was told to get by manager that want present AND IS NOT IN THE WEBSITE BECAUSE I LOOKED THOROUGHLY so had to cancel and still have not refunded my money and I've been on the phone with my bank to no avail. The town was empty not a peep was heard. Was told it was because the bear sightings were scaring people away. Omg. Wasted gas and time

Overall, the stay was decent. The staff were friendly, however I do have one or two gripes. There were no towels in our room at all when we checked in, like none at all. When I told the lady at the desk, she immediately got us some towels but it was weird for them not to be in there in the first place. There was a small amount of food waste behind the trash can the cleaning crew must have missed (1-2 cheeto pieces or something bright orange), and while the breakfast staff was very helpful, the pancake machine had a lot of issues and the breakfast was somewhat lackluster compared to other places I have been (even in the same town as this one). It was better than a continental breakfast, but still seemed like there's room for improvement. I'm glad it was more than just honey buns and bagels though. The hotel is in an excellent spot, close to a lot of shops and a short walking distance from the main parts of town. I like that it has rooms with exterior exits if that matters to people or not. There was plenty of parking and the top floor of the hotel had a pretty decent view of the mountains if you stepped outside the door in my opinion. You can't see the river from there, but I didn't expect to. The price was elevated because of a local event (Octoberfest) just like all the other hotels in the area, but was still lower than most the other hotels in the area. I would definitely stay here again if I attended this event again because of the pricing and location.

Where do we start. Breakfast there nothing to drink but coffee no milk or no juice, pancake machine was out of service, a block of cream cheese uncovered in the mini fridge for all guest to dip into. Fruit flies on the apples. That was morning one.... night 2 the neighbors had their tv on all night long and began fighting at 7am and that continued until 11am. No help from the man at the desk, day 3 no towels were available besides the two we were given on day 1, one was the size of a bath mat, no hand towels for the entire 4 night stay. Night 3 we had neighbors snoring so loud you could hear it through the walls Night 4 we come back to find the neighbors door wide open and a bull dog loose in the parking lot. Advised young girl at the desk that the room was open and a dog was loose, she wouldn't contact the guest "they didn't have a dog she said" hours later a man shows up and wonders why his door is open, well the dog ate the trim and got out... we kept an eye on her all that time. So if your room door is wide open and your dog is loose.... no help from staff. Last night there we had elephants above us. Pounding on the floors. We've been staying in Helen for years and this was our first and last time at this hotel. Poorly run, floors were water damaged and lifted. We woke up the first morning sick with sinus issues. Bad bad bad management!!!

This was a no frills motel, but was clean and comfortable. The front desk lady was nice and helpful. The hotel has a mountain view. Nothing to write home about but still pretty enough and it was close to downtown. Breakfast was small but decent with eggs, sausage, and pancakes as hot options. Was a good value for an overnight stay.
