Excellent location in Ortigia, inside a palazzo, with a peekabo view of the Med. Beautifully appointed rooms, comfortable beds, soft, warm linens, amply sized bathroom with rain shower and excellent water pressure. Our room faced a quiet alleyway, so despite being at the center of everything on a weekend, our room was blissfully quiet. Breakfast is lovely with homemade pastries and juices. Parking is very difficult, but Martina and staff helped us arrange. A note that Ortigia itself is not a very accessible destination, we parked as close as was possible and still carried our bags across a town square and down a couple streets. There is no elevator, and entrance to the palazzo requires lifting bags over a door lip.

Beautiful Ortigia is busy, bustling and offers an abundance of interesting, enjoyable diversions. What a joy to begin and end each day at Maeco B&B! Tucked in an historic palazzo, Maeco is calm, cozy and welcoming. Rooms are spacious and beautifully designed and provide conveniences such as bedside electrical outlets for charging our many devices. The owner and her marvelous staff provide concierge-level assistance and helped us find memorable meals and terrific tours. Maeco is an easy walk from the Siracusa train station and is easy to find in the old city. The Duomo, castle, marina, beaches and epic daily market are no more than 15 minutes by foot. The breakfast buffet is substantial and we enjoyed meeting other guests and comparing travel notes each morning. Truly, our stay at Maeco could not have been better.

Vi använde Google maps och siktade på adressen och blev väldigt stressade av att hamna på gator där man nog inte får köra. Jag pratade i telefon med Frederica som sa att vi borde parkera på den stora parkeringen. Det blev rätt svettigt att sedan släpa väskorna till boendet. Rummet var överraskande fräscht när vi kommit igenom trapphuset. Trevligt boende mitt i smeten. Trevligt bemötande. Bra frukost. Vad gäller hållbarhet så kan det vara bekvämt att låta luftkonditioneringen vara på när man lämnar rummet, vilket det normalt inte går att göra, men det känns oansvarigt att lämna den på så det gjorde vi inte.

Central location in Ortigia near numerous shops and restaurants. The room was beautiful and surprisingly quiet given it’s central location but there was a slight sewage smell in the bathroom throughout our stay. The building was going through a large renovation so this might have contributed to this issue. We opened our window and this helped. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good with the option of fresh eggs made to order daily. The hotel does not have parking so you need to park in a public lot and walk a bit to the hotel.

Great location in the middle of all the main sites in Ortigia - loved the proximity to everything via walking. Hard to find and not easy to get to from parking, but once there, great stay all around!

Fantastic location in the heart of old town Ortigia. Large room and bathroom with beautiful decor. Excellent breakfast with good selection of fresh, quality products. Martina was very calm & helpful when we got lost trying to drop our car so it could be parked. It all worked out in the end! Loved the communal breakfast table where we met fellow travellers from around the world. Definitely recommend Maecò Ortigia

We liked EVERYTHING in our stay, it was a highlight of our Sicily trip. 1. Clean spacious room with high ceiling and window open into a quiet street. 2. Updated super-clean bathroom. 3. Beautifully decorated property in a historical building. 3. Excellent breakfast. 5. Location right in the middle of the Ortigia historical area, 2-minute walk from the Cathedral. 6. Friendly and super helpful owner and staff. They answered all our questions and made our stay pleasant and comfortable. 7. Private parking option - comes very handy in a historical city with lots of traffic and restrictions for travelers with a car. 8. Everything was well-organized: check-in and check-out, communication with private parking, etc. Next time we are in Sicily will definitely stay here!

Excellent location in centre of Ortigia surrounded by beautiful architecture. Wide range of restaurants just outside and right next to Duomo Piazza. Despite this, no noise disturbance. Very well appointed and spotlessly clean room. The B&B staff were fantastic - so friendly and helpful and accommodating. Excellent breakfast. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

I had my doubts when I saw this place's facade and made my way upstairs to reception, but then everything changed! The place is wonderful--completely updated, modern, and spotlessly clean! The staff members, especially Martina, are very helpful and friendly. My room was spacious--at least as nice as many of the rooms I've stayed in at hotels that cost much more.

Everything around this bnb is simply lovely. The building is authentic, right there in the main piazza , the cleanliness is astonishing, and the service is beyond, owner was attentive to my needs, she agreed to serve breakfast earlier, she guided my thorough every step of check in, made sure I had recommendations of the city, she was fantastic, breakfast delicious in a beautiful dining room. Best bnb in all my trip around Italy.

This was a beautiful hotel in the centre of Ortigia. So convenient for restaurants and shopping. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The room was lovely and the air conditioning worked well. I loved this bathroom! Overall, a great stay and location. I’d definitely go back.

The property is in a beautiful old building and is right next to the magnificent cathedral. Two hostesses are very gracious and accommodating to our needs. Our unit for three people is very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast room is beautiful, overlooking a charming street outside. Ample choices for breakfast and they are all very tasty. We spent 3 night there and will be very happy to stay there again.

A beautiful boutique B&B with a fantastic location right in the centre of Ortigia. Spacious clean room with everything you need. Fantastic breakfast and very helpful staff who helped with restaurant recommendations etc. Definitely recommend and would love to go back.

Lovely B&B in the heart of Ortigia. Our room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was simple but fresh and plentiful. It was also quiet even if facing the street with restaurants and stores. The owner and other ladies working and running the place were very nice and helpful. I would not hesitate to go back to this B&B if returning to Ortigia.

Beautiful Ortigia is busy, bustling and offers an abundance of interesting, enjoyable diversions. What a joy to begin and end each day at Maeco B&B! Tucked in an historic palazzo, Maeco is calm, cozy and welcoming. Rooms are spacious and beautifully designed and provide conveniences such as bedside electrical outlets for charging our many devices. The owner and her marvelous staff provide concierge-level assistance and helped us find memorable meals and terrific tours. Maeco is an easy walk from the Siracusa train station and is easy to find in the old city. The Duomo, castle, marina, beaches and epic daily market are no more than 15 minutes by foot. The breakfast buffet is substantial and we enjoyed meeting other guests and comparing travel notes each morning. Truly, our stay at Maeco could not have been better.

The Maeco B and B is right at the centre of Ortigia and convenient for easy walking to restaurants, shops and all the beautiful sites that the island has to offer. We were welcomed by Alisia who was very helpful and gave us a guide to all the places to see. The next day wee met Martina the owner who was also very welcoming. The Maeco is very tastefully furnished blending traditional fitting's blended with modern things like plexiglass chairs. Our room was very spacious with a well appointed bathroom. Breakfast is a mix of pastries, cold meats cheese, bread fruit, yoghurt etc and eggs can be cooked to order. The staff are very friendly and obliging. Very nice place in central location. Fredericka was a huge asset/help. She helped coordinate parking which I was a bit concerned about prior to our arrival. Cost was 25 euros per day, a bit steep, but was worth it. We should have stayed longer than one night, my mistake. Lovely around the island.

Beautifully appointed rooms, comfortable beds, soft, warm linens, amply sized bathroom with rain shower and excellent water pressure. Our room faced a quiet alleyway, so despite being at the center of everything on a weekend, our room was blissfully quiet. Breakfast is lovely with homemade pastries and juices. Parking is very difficult, but Martina and staff helped us arrange. A note that Ortigia itself is not a very accessible destination, we parked as close as was possible and still carried our bags across a town square and down a couple streets. There is no elevator, and entrance to the palazzo requires lifting bags over a door lip.

The room was beautiful and surprisingly quiet given it’s central location but there was a slight sewage smell in the bathroom throughout our stay. The building was going through a large renovation so this might have contributed to this issue. We opened our window and this helped. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good with the option of fresh eggs made to order daily. The hotel does not have parking so you need to park in a public lot and walk a bit to the hotel.
