We were staying for 5 nights and we really have nothing to complain. Very clean. Room has all we needed in good condition. Comfortable beds. Good AC unit. No outside noise. Breakfast very basic, but nobody promised a feast :). Everything fresh, there are always at least couple of items in each food category regardless of how many clients are trying to have a breakfast in short period of time. Coffee machine with a good FREE coffee 7/24: cappuccino, latte, regular, hot chocolate etc. There is only one slightly disappointing thing, but maybe it's a just a regulatory requirements - pool was really, really hot. It was more like a Jacuzzi, I got in and got out in a second. Rest is just great!

Our check in person was a C- at best. Unfriendly. And our keys didn’t work requiring us to go back down to her for a redo The elevator had a horrific smell in there the entire time we were there (thankfully only day and one night) They had two air fresheners inside elevator but that didn’t help.

The people were very nice and unfortunately i had to switch rooms because the AC unit was making a god awful loud noise. No issues switching but the second room was almost the same just not as bad so I just dealt with it. Staff was helpful, pool was very small.

We booked a night at this location exclusively so our kids had a fun pool experience. The pool was unexpectedly closed upon arrival. The response from staff was a shrug and suggestion to call ahead and check in the future. Not helpful in the moment and makes for a wasted trip and money. In addition, the room was noisy and there was considerable water damage on the ceiling of the bathroom.

Heater in the pool was broken so the pool was freezing and the kids were not able to swim. For $350 a night to stay here and can't even swim was very disappointing.

Literally was perfect except one tiny detail that would make a world of difference: mildew/mold on some of the caulk around shower and greasy mirrors. They just need to use the right cleaning products and the rest is perfect.

Easy location to universities, hotel was dirty in hallways and common areas, odd smell in halls, rooms generally were clean but the chair in our room was so stained that it needed replacing (and not to be used). Road noise was bad. Maybe a room that went street facing would be better.

The best thing was the beds; they were very comfortable with ample pillows. There was something strange with the light switches. There was a primary switch that turned ALL of the lights off in the main area. If it was on, there were ceiling lights that were on and couldn't be turned off. Because of this, you couldn't have a reading light on at one bed without having the full-room light on. This made it difficult as I wanted to read for a bit while others in the room wanted to sleep. It was unusual. Otherwise find for a one-night stay.

Clean, quiet, good breakfast selection. Active leak in the shower ceiling. You could tell that there was attempt to fix, but still had not been addressed. Light switched messed up. Could not have the bedside light in without having the all room light on. Front desk said that all rooms were the same. Otherwise very adequate accommodations.

The room we lived in is right next to a busy road. It’s so noisy at night and not allowing you to sleep. We stayed up whole night and complained to the front desk the following morning but she just shrugged off and said it was designed by mistake at build without considering the closeness to the busy road. Nothing she could do and no compensation offered.

We stayed 4 nights. Room on the road side of the building was very noisy and heat was inconsistent. We were moved to a different room after a leak in the bathroom from upstairs and that room was much quieter and temperature was more consistent. Staff was outstanding throughout. Very fun Halloween decorations.

Great area! Overall, a nice hotel with some minor issues in the room. Breakfast was good but few tables so first time having to eat in our room. First time ever to arrive with very unprofessional, miserable staff at the front desk! Why work in hospitality if you make no effort to welcome guests and just walk away with no explanation or even a kind apology?! No eye contact either…very bizarre. Once in room, no tissues in holder, toilet paper roll falling off the wall, privacy blind broken & shower floor stained black…so unfortunate as room was nice overall.

The employee at the desk completely ignored us. Walked away with a couple and was gone a LONG time and when came back just chatted away with them about nothing related to their hotel stay while we sat there waiting! Ignored us and finally I had to interrupt them! Very unprofessional! Other than that, rest of stay was great, very nice accommodations.

Person that checked us in made us feel extremely unsafe at the Holiday Inn and Suites Ithaca. He got extremely angry at me as I talked to a family member telling her that “he” could not find the reservation for my nephew. I didn’t even know what upset him so. He refused to continue helping us unless I “addressed him appropriately.” I don’t even know what that means. He stormed off to the office slamming the door so hard that it shook all the walls shaking all guests in the lobby. As we headed up to our room on the 4th floor, the elevator violently shook on floor 2 and the door didn’t open. I was shaking with fear. I’m pretty sure your employee hit an emergency button to stop us from getting to floor 4. My son’s wedding was the next morning. My husband and I both had nightmares that night as we slept at another hotel, too afraid to stay at Holiday Inn.

2 night business at Cornell stay. Evening desk staff was great, very pleasant and helpful. Last morning one of the housekeeping crew let themself into my room! I had placed the 'Privacy Please' hanger on the door and hadn't checked out. As i did check out i voiced my surprise about the intrusion and the desk staff assured me it would not happen again and they were sorry, thats it, sorry our crleaning crew walked in on you in your underwear. Lol! I guess i could have thrown a bigger fit but there were others around and i was embarrassed, as explained to the staff. For being a newer hotel the carpet and furniture in my room are in need of a cleaning, but the bed and other surfaces were clean. Needless to say, i will stay elsewhere next trip to Ithaca.

When I arrived, I was only greeted by a sign "helping other guest, please wait". The feeling cannot be good as you don't know how long the wait will be. Well, that's my checking in experience. The traffic in front of the hotel is unbearable. Some heavy truck passing by will shake the building. So please avoid all the hotels along the "Elmira road".

Everything is near by restaurant ,shopping, falls are not too far away .my only concern is exiting the hotel is kind of hard to see coming traffic because of street tree .plenty of parking space.

The room was very clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. Bathroom was spacious. We even got toothbrushes at the front desk. The hotel is on the main road but convenient to all the sights and shopping areas. The only issue is that when someone is walking in the room above you, it’s very loud. Luckily, it was very quiet by 10 pm and for the rest of the night. If you like quiet, I recommend you request a room on the top floor and also not facing the main road. It’s walking distance to a beautiful waterfall and hiking.

It’s fine. Staff were great - friendly and professional. Otherwise the property needs updating and details were missed. For example we found moldy water in the keurig machine and the cereal in the containers at breakfast were quite stale.

I liked the room but it was super cold when we went in, clean and comfy. Elevators smelled like vomit. Breakfast bad: cardboard omelets, they ran out of pancakes at 8:30, didn’t have any when we left at 9:30 still Walking to the car was blasted with steam.
