Best Western Plus Vauxhall Hotel

Amazing hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms and facilities are very clean and modern. Parking was easy and relatively cheap. Breakfast was plentiful and lady working there was very thorough and kept everything spotless. Would highly recommend and shall look forwards to returning in the near future.

We had tickets for The Oval and this was an ideal overnight stay - easy walking distance to the ground, restaurants, pubs, cafes and bars. It was clean, the staff were great and the parking was really convenient given there was a rail strike the day we traveled. All together very happy we found this hotel in Lambeth.

Only negative thing I would say the parking is at holiday inn hotel over the road and limited so might be worth prebooking, we were lucky and managed to get a spot on arrival 😀

Hotel was about a 10 minute walk from the Vauxhall Underground and train station and about an 8 min walk from the Nine Elms Underground stop. There are several food options close to the Vauxhall stations. Room itself was small and clean. Shower was tiny. We went for a long walk to Buckingham Palace and it was about a 35-40 minute walk. We went over the Vauxhall Bridge and that offered a nice view in the distance of the London Eye. There is a hairdryer, body wash, lotion, and shampoo/conditioner in the room with an iron available upon request. We did not drive or purchase breakfast, so I can't speak to either of those. We went to the SW8 Laundromat to wash clothes and it was very clean and about a 4 minute walk from hotel. The machines take cash or cards, which made it very convenient. Staff was very nice and helpful. There is a lift as well. Would recommend.

The hotel room was very small but really clean. Reception allowed us to use the peinter for paperwork whichvwas very helpful. They helped us with extending our parking after check out which was very kind. We didn't eat breakfast so can't comment. Was a good stay for 1 night on business.

I was there for one night. Very close to USA embassy. Having a space for parking was the reason for my stay. I like best western hotels.

My room didn't have a window! It had a skylight...I wish I'd known that when I agreed to the ground floor room (only because the 'lift' wasn't working when I arrived). Sigh...

Really comfortable hotel. We had tremendous service from the moment we arrived, checking in, but also at breakfast and checking out. Every part of the hotel is exceptionally clean and we will definitely stay again when we are in the area.

Nice clean room close to the us embassy - the purpose of our visit. Nothing to dislike and both receptionists we saw were extra friendly and helpful delaying our check in in case we needed longer. Didn’t have any food so no comment on that but everything was great.

Mattress covers must not be washed much at all. It took looking at 5 rooms before finding a semi clean looking matress cover. All others had what looked like dry feces, or old urine or blood stains as well as hairs and pubic hairs. The last room wasn't too bad but sime of the lights and the exhaust fan in the bathroom didnt work in this room. Staff was helpful and friendly enough but the rooms were kind of gross, mostly the beds but also could have been vacuumed better. Won't be going back to this hotel.

Room was spotless staff friendly breakfast not great as I’m gluten free and wasn’t given any options but there was fruit bacon eggs beans yoghurts

we were put in room 26 in the cellar and it smelt very bad of drainage, upon checkin the lady on reception was quite abrupt and said we have no other rooms available when I asked was we in the cellar The gentlemen on reception when we was checking out was very polite and helpful.

The wifi was shocking here - absolutely terrible, staff were not sure how to rectify, poor communication between each other on fixing the problem on the brief time we were there - Had advised us that they needed to Take out devices in order to make the wifi work 2 mobiles and 1 laptop The sink drain was not emptying

Excellent value for money, easy to walk to the tube/train station at Vauxhall (10 minutes walk), reasonably close to Battersea Power station (~30 minutes walk). Access via tube to London is reasonably easy. The inside is very clean, with housekeeping coming in with fresh towels every day and room cleaning (a rarity post-covid). Lots of lighting in the room and spacious for a London-area hotel.

We booked a Junior Suite, which it certainly was not. The size was smaller than a double room I previously booked at the Premier Inn. Zero windows other than a small skylight .. made it feel even more claustrophobic. The door almost hit the bed on entering the room. I’m shocked they state this as a junior suite. Avoid room 6!

The room was very small and not well ventilated, as there was one window up high that didn’t open. Though the space was tight, the bed was comfortable.

A lot of noise coming from slamming doors and near by rooms

I have never stayed in a smaller room than this. The floor area wcouldnt have been larger than 3m2 plus tiny bathroom. No space for wardrobe, no window except for tiny skylight high up over the bed.

The location is convenient and close to Vauxhall Station and Nine Elms. However the room was cramped, the bed was small and the shower cubicle was quite small so it was difficult to have a decent shower.

The room is pretty small but the front desk stuff are very nice. It was hard to have 2 people's luggages in the double room. The bus stop is just around the corner.

The rooms are very very small , otherwise clean , new well decorated.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable.The manager Vijay, Rahul and Mariana were very professional and helpful. There customer service was excellent. The House keeping staff was also very nice. And there was always someone on the reception to assist you. I had a great stay there 😊

We arrived 9pm. Our purpose was to visit the US embassy the next day. We forgot to print out important paperwork but the hotel printed all of this for us. Then another piece the next day. They were very nice customer service. Room was spotless. Very close to Vauxhall train station close to the shops and cafes. Thankyou would recommend and stay again.

came from NY TO watch the test match between India and England at the Kia Oval, only a 10-12 minute walk to from the hotel through quiet back streets. It was ideal for me. Apart from another property across the stadium this is the only property that is within a short walking distance to the stadium, so you don't have to mess around with trains which were packed with spectators to the venue. Since I was alone the hotel was perfect. I took an executive room which was on the smallish side but it was reasonable priced at 179 quid and it had everything that I wanted. It was quiet, clean, had a safe, bottles of water, kettle coffee etc. Also had cable, wifi etc. The mattress was very comfortable and I slept really well for the three nights that I stayed. The area too is very safe. some evenings I walked to vauxhall station about 12-15 minutes away to catch the train to see friends andother times I took an uber and came back pretty late. at no point did I feel unsafe. There are several Portuguese restaurants within a few minutes of walking, one of which I dined in and the food was delicious. There is a pub called canton arms, very popular and excellent, a little walk away. I had drinks there. also convenience store etc. The people in the front desk there 24 x7, who were super helpful. One manager Pavan advised me which trains to take from Heathrow to Vauxhall which cost only 7.5 quid as opposed to a taxi which would have been around 70 quid. I would go back again for sure .

Walking distance to Big Ben and London Eye

Walkable to big ben and many buses you can take to other sights and market halls . Good for a place to stay on short trip . Is a bit loud at night with other guests walls are thin . Overall would stay again to visit London

Was upgraded to top floor, room 22. Very comfortable. Shampoo, shower gel provided. Tea /coffee/water. Couldn’t work out how to close the window, reception kindly came up to assist. Portuguese restaurant next door was good. Short walk to Nine Elms (8 min walk) and Vauxhall (10 min walk) stations. US Embassy 7 min walk from Nine Elms. Solo and felt v safe.

It was idea for me. I was visiting the US embassy which made it very convenient. And only 5mins from Vauxhall tube station. The room was very clean. The staff were very courteous. Would stay there again, no problem.

I had a great stay. Very quiet and clean. Very friendly reception and breakfast bar staff. Easy walking to Vauxall tube and train station with connection to Gatwick. Also in a convenient bus route to Vauxhall and Victoria Station. My only minor quibble was room size. I was hard to have a suitcase on a rack and open the door properly but that's a common London problem. Otherwise highly recommend.

Clean, well maintained hotel. Comfortable, quiet rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Only minor criticism would be that at breakfast some of the cooked items could’ve definitely been hotter, and the coffee machine had broken down - and had been replaced by a tiny kettle (same size as the bedroom ones). This was not very practical, with a queue of thirsty guests.

I stayed with my daughter and our room was quiet and comfy. Reception staff were cheerful and pleasant. I did find breakfast a little disappointing for vegetarians as the bread selection was limited and there weren’t enough baked beans left, and no vegetarian sausages. More seriously, we saw the member of staff use the same tongs for the bacon and the hash browns, so that we couldn’t have the hash browns.

Rahul who was the receptionist was amazing. Very efficient guy. The breakfast was also well prepared and the room was neat. Overall, i enjoyed my stay and recommends it.
