We really loved staying at the Peacock House for my birthday weekend! The home was clean and had such a cozy feeling to it that we were completely relaxed there. Our favorite part was definitely the peacocks! Me and my husband stayed in the backroom with the sliding doors that led to the backyard, and I loved waking up to peacocks by the door. We spent a good portion of our time just sitting outside. The neighborhood was not loud or bothersome, so we felt at ease here. The host was very responsive to our messages and communication was very easy. We were even given the opportunity to have a friend over whom we hadn't seen in years. Getting to have dinner with them, catching up, and meeting their little toddler made our stay that much more memorable. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to have seen them and the opportunity to stay at The Peacock House. I will definitely be recommending this home to our friends, and if we ever stop by San Antonio for another trip, I will be booking this home again!

Property was very clean and had every amenity possible. Open floor plan with black granite countertops make the living area space look and feel great. Back yard is large and situated with evening shade to enjoy the outdoors. We plan to return to the Peacock house soon. This location is within 15-20 min drive to the popular Amusement park and to the Downtown area. Excellent Highly recommend this property.

The house was very close to the hospital district which is why I chose this place. It was perfect for accommodating 9 people. The stove was my main problem the flames did not go high enough therefore taking a long time to cook a basic breakfast. The shower needs to have a full door enclosure. We purchased charcoal and grilled on the wonderful grill outside. The house was pet friendly. I will consider renting here again. It's rightfully called the peacock house! This was our family’s first trip since my spouse’s stroke. The fact that the property was handicapped & wheelchair accessible made our vacation stress-free. My granddaughters loved watching peacocks on the property. I’m definitely keeping this property in mind on future visits to San Antonio.

Great stay, house was clean and tidy. Everything was in working order. Monica is an exceptional host and communicated well. Peacocks where an added bonus and kept us entertained while we grilled in the backyard. Will stay here again!

The Peacock House was exactly what we needed for our visit to San Antonio-wheelchair accessible and close to the Medical Center. It was comfortable and spacious. We will definitely look it up again!!

In town for my daughter’s wedding and needed a place for a larger family. This house was PERFECT! Enjoyed the large backyard with grill and the family had a great time. I would not hesitate to stay at the peacock house again!

The house was very clean and in a great location. It was easy to get to Sea World (6 miles), restaurants, and grocery stores. I was able to bring my dog which was a huge plus. Monica was very friendly and available to answer any questions we had. The only thing I would say is this is the peacock house, so there are peacocks and they are vocal so be prepared. The peacocks were beautiful and non-aggressive. I would stay again if I was in the area.

First off, Monica, the host, was always avail for questions. House is super convenient, 3 bds, 2 baths, great kitchen, living, etc. You can park inside the 1 car garage. Neighborhood is quiet and best part? You get to be surrounded by gorgeus peacocks. They are all over the street, and they love dog food. The house was so clean, I forgot my flip flops and walked around with white socks and they were spotless. Great home. Great location and great host. Will definitely be back! 15 mins from La Cantera and the Rim. Shop away!

Very nice house. Very clean Bed was a little soft for me but fine My only suggestion is that the hall bathroom needs a shade for the top half of the window (bottom half is blacked out). People in houses on hill behind can look right into bathroom!

Drive way was uphill uncle had a hard time getting out of car and walking up but he's 90. Nice accommodations for him as far as a walker wheelchair n walk in showers. Back bedroom bed frame was off balance tv in bedrooms didn't work. Admired them peacocks. We had mosquitos n flies but couldn't find flyswatter. Paper goods were thin.

First, the house was not very clean. The water pressure in the master was so low we couldn't use that room at all. The other shower was great but water pumped out of the wall when in use (you could tell by looking at the wall that this has been happening for a very long time) We had to use bath towels to soak up the water but there were no cleaning supplies to wash the towels! With the exception of dish soap and a can of disinfectant there were no cleaning supplies AT ALL. Monica (knowing it was just my husband and I) said I should have requested cleaning supplies because they are dangerous to children. The toaster oven didn't work, the handle fell off the skillet while cooking bacon, there were no dish towels, dish rags or sponges. There was a key broken off in the little bunk house out back so it was also unusable. The springs were shot in the couch, I could go on and on. Monica swung by with a few items for us but did not offer to adjust the bill in any way. Very disappointing.

This place was amazing. It was everything described in the listing and more. We spent time with my brother from west Texas and my Dad who had health complications since the beginning of the year. He is slowly recovering and this was perfect to just spend good quality time together. This house was roomy, very clean, and met our needs. The location was nice, quiet, peaceful and also friendly neighbors. We had small outdoor adventures with the my goddaughter looking for bugs and butterflies while being visited by the peacocks and beautiful deer at dusk into the evening.

If you dont want to sleep, stay here. They call it the Peacock House for reason. Peacocks all over the place, and I mean ALL OVER THE PLACE running loose in neighborhood. Backyard, front yard, roof top , etc. making endless noise day and night and running on roof. We slept maybe 2-3 hours each night, we looked like zombies the next morning. Beautiful birds but toooo much noise. Nice house just the birds were no good.

My husband and I stayed at Peacock House for the month of February. It was a great location for us to enjoy San Antonio. The house is very comfortable with lots of room. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need to prepare meals. The garage is a plus. The keyless access made it easy for us to come and go each day. Monica was very responsive to questions. The peacocks visited daily and we enjoyed watching them in the back yard. We would definitely stay at Peacock House again if we had an extended stay in San Antonio.

I stayed the weekend with my son, my mom, my boyfriend, and his mom at the peacock house for my first trip ever to San Antonio. We loved the house, we had plenty of space and were very comfortable. We were only a short drive from everything we wanted to do and see. We loved seeing all the peacocks. I had looked at many, many different houses for this trip on both this site and others, but I am so very happy I picked this one.

We really loved staying at the Peacock House for my birthday weekend! The home was clean and had such a cozy feeling to it that we were completely relaxed there. Our favorite part was definitely the peacocks! Me and my husband stayed in the backroom with the sliding doors that led to the backyard, and I loved waking up to peacocks by the door. We spent a good portion of our time just sitting outside. The neighborhood was not loud or bothersome, so we felt at ease here. The host was very responsive to our messages and communication was very easy. We were even given the opportunity to have a friend over whom we hadn't seen in years. Getting to have dinner with them, catching up, and meeting their little toddler made our stay that much more memorable. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to have seen them and the opportunity to stay at The Peacock House. I will definitely be recommending this home to our friends, and if we ever stop by San Antonio for another trip, I will be booking this home again!

My husband and I stayed at Peacock House for the month of February. It was a great location for us to enjoy San Antonio. The house is very comfortable with lots of room. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need to prepare meals. The garage is a plus. The keyless access made it easy for us to come and go each day. Monica was very responsive to questions. The peacocks visited daily and we enjoyed watching them in the back yard. We would definitely stay at Peacock House again if we had an extended stay in San Antonio.

First, the house was not very clean. The water pressure in the master was so low we couldn't use that room at all. The other shower was great but water pumped out of the wall when in use (you could tell by looking at the wall that this has been happening for a very long time) We had to use bath towels to soak up the water but there were no cleaning supplies to wash the towels! With the exception of dish soap and a can of disinfectant there were no cleaning supplies AT ALL. Monica (knowing it was just my husband and I) said I should have requested cleaning supplies because they are dangerous to children. The toaster oven didn't work, the handle fell off the skillet while cooking bacon, there were no dish towels, dish rags or sponges. There was a key broken off in the little bunk house out back so it was also unusable. The springs were shot in the couch, I could go on and on. Monica swung by with a few items for us but did not offer to adjust the bill in any way. Very disappointing.

We adored this property. For a family of 6, there was plenty of room and all of the comforts of home. The kitchen was spacious and inviting. We cooked pizza, and breakfast while there. Great atmosphere and we loved the peacocks. We also loved that we were close to a Walmart and never had to leave the side roads to get there. No busy traffic.

Back yard is large and situated with evening shade to enjoy the outdoors. We plan to return to the Peacock house soon. This location is within 15-20 min drive to the popular Amusement park and to the Downtown area. Excellent Highly recommend this property.

The house was very close to the hospital district which is why I chose this place. It was perfect for accommodating 9 people. The stove was my main problem the flames did not go high enough therefore taking a long time to cook a basic breakfast. The shower needs to have a full door enclosure. Our stay was great! It was well priced, clean, plenty of space and in a good location. Our kids LOVED watching the peacocks! (We didn’t find them to be noisy 😉.) We went to Seaworld and the riverwalk and each drive took us around 15-20 min., which was a huge plus for us. Thanks for a great stay!

I stayed the weekend with my son, my mom, my boyfriend, and his mom at the peacock house for my first trip ever to San Antonio. We loved the house, we had plenty of space and were very comfortable. We were only a short drive from everything we wanted to do and see. We loved seeing all the peacocks. I had looked at many, many different houses for this trip on both this site and others, but I am so very happy I picked this one.
