It has a very convenient location there is a 24/7 supermarket around the corner, 3 places to eat and a bar. The place is super clean, beds are very comfortable, hotels.com didn’t mention it has a washing machine/dryer. The only bad thing about it is that hallways smell like grease from a restaurant nearby, and that it doesn’t have a parking.

Hlemmur Suites was a great place to stay, highly recommend. Check in was easy (and keyless so one less thing to worry about when out and about) and the location was great as it was a short walk to the Main Street with bars and shops, as well as walkable to most attractions and tour pick up points. The lack of parking wasn’t ideal, but there was a street about a 5 min walk away with free parking which we were always able to get a space on so that was fine. The property was spacious, modern, well equipped and clean, with good views of the sea. We stayed here for 4 nights and felt very comfortable and safe.

Hlemmur is a very neat, clean and newly remodeled modern suite. It is self service, meaning there is no lobby to check in. You will receive access codes online, so make sure you receive them before your stay. We could not check in until late afternoon, so we had to rent a storage locker at the bus station and arrange for it to be transported later. This was a bit of an inconvenience so just be aware if you are flying in early in the morning. The suites are near a food court with a variety of great foods. It is a in a good location. It is a short walk to the harbor for aurora watching and shopping in town. Due to road construction and closures, there was some confusion with taxis finding us. We felt safe and very comfortable at Hlemmur. Communication with Hlemmur Suites was also very good with quick and helpful replies. We highly recommend it and would stay there again.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hlemmur Suites! The apartment was very spacious, clean, and comfortable—perfect for relaxing after exploring Reykjavík. The customer service was excellent: super responsive and accommodating. On the check-out date, I had a small issue when the laundry machine wouldn’t open because the drum was still hot. The staff responded quickly and even offered us a one-hour late check-out, which I really appreciated. The location is also great—just steps away from bus stop #9, which made it so easy to take the Flybus from the airport to BSI and transfer directly to the apartment. Overall, I’m very happy with my stay and would definitely recommend Hlemmur Suites to anyone visiting Iceland!

We stayed in a 3-1 which was perfect for our needs. We were on the 4th floor, so the street noise was fairly faint, though I could see it being a bigger issue on lower floors. Note that there is major road construction happening near the building so figuring out how to get there via navigation apps was a challenge (we ended up parking 2 blocks away and walking).

Hlemmur Suites was a great place to stay! It was extremely clean and spacious. The suite is also close to many shopping and dining areas, making everything accessible. The only down side is that there is no parking available, but other than that, it was a very comfortable place to stay. I would book again if the opportunity comes!

Overall very good experience. I had almost a week stay and was really expecting a washer machine since I am traveling with my kids. I booked a 2 bedroom suite with balcony. Had contacted them to see if there is a washer. I would have appreciated if they could have advised me that there are other 2 bedroom suites with the washer. I would have changed it. When I requested one extra toilet tissue and was told that they only have to provide one roll for the whole stay and to buy your own. Check in was very smooth and nice. This hotel is at a great location.

We had two suites in July and had a wonderful stay. The building felt safe and easy to access. The food hall was perfect for a bite or just a quick drink. It would have been nice to have a larger laundry facility but we were able to walk to laundromat with no issues.

4/5 Cleanliness - Generally very clean and tidy, but some of the cookwares had leftovers. 3/5 Communication - Contactless throughout, emails from the guesthouse provided all necessary info before you checked in. Communication was efficient but no service provided effectively. We couldn’t find the on-site manager in our 8-day stay. 4/5 Room Condition - Very nice. New. Some mechanics noise from time to time. 5/5 Location - Perfect location. Popular day tour gathering points and public bus stops nearby (2mins walk), restaurants of different prices and a 24/7 convenient store just downstairs, safe, just 5-10mins walk to the rainbow street & church.

Clean and very quiet. They don’t have parking but we parked down the road for free. It was very easy to check in. Only issue I saw was construction around the apartments but that didn’t bother us.

The building and rooms were clean and cozy, we enough space to be comfortable. I would maybe skip on the breakfast, it was just a breadbun and croissant per person, and a slice of cheese, butter and small marmalede/jam. There is also no coffee machine, a part from a nespresso. So we were happy to have brought coffee bags. But the location is great, everything was walking distance, and just in general happy to have stayed in Hlemmur suites. :) thumps up.

The location is ideal for exploring downtown Reykjavik. It´s located on a square called Hlemmur that is on the main shopping / walking street in downtown Reykjavik called Laugavegur. There are restaurants all around the apartment hotel and a supermarket across the street. There is also great burger place and a bar on the groundfloor. Everything was perfect, it´s brand new and clearly designed as more luxurious than I thought. I wished I had booked an apartment with ocean view and balcony. I will surely do that next time.

We rented the 3 bedroom apartment, with a kitchen and one bathroom. Very nice facilities, modern and clean. Could be perceived as almost a bit sterile compared to some hotel rooms that have art or a particular decoration, but I liked it. Easy and simple. We do wish that the kitchen would have had some more utilities, a microwave oven, more than 4 sets of cutlery, etc. If you plan on cooking many meals here you might get frustrated. The 24/7 store in the building right next door was very convenient.

Great apartment with plenty of space. Beds are very comfortable and it was remodeled and clean. We had all the amenities we needed to cook breakfast at home and pack lunches. It's within walking distance to rainbow Street, the harbor and all the attractions in Reykjavík we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and parking was easy in the garage. Family traveling with 4 children.

The apartment was nice, very comfortable, and well-located. However, we did have a few minor complaints. The lack of a microwave proved problematic during our first night because prior to checking-in, we were out and about trying different food in the city. As a result, we had quite a few takeaways we wanted to save for later only to find out our unit had no microwave to reheat them with upon settling in. I’m sure a larger unit might have them available, but for the smaller studio style apartments, be wary of takeaways. The other thing was the lack of an exhaust vent for cooking. We cooked breakfast in the unit but was worried that the smoke might set off an alarm. Also, we could only open one tiny window to let out the smoke. It got a little smoky in there at times while we were cooking breakfast, but it didn’t prove to be too much of an issue. Also, the exterior trash room outside the building was extremely messy and nasty and full of flies. We’re not sure how often that room gets cleared, but during our stay it was filled with so much garbage and smelled extremely bad. We did not like going in there at all. Other than these things, we would definitely consider Hlemmur suites for a future visit and we highly recommend them.

Great location, close to everything! Just a few steps away from Bus Stop 9. The apartment was nice, spacious, and clean. Property Management was very helpful, they responded promptly to emails if you have any questions or requests. Great stay and would recommend!

Very nice location at end of shopping district. Loved having space to spread out and 3 bedrooms was fantastic. Bathroom was very spacious. Only problem we had was limited toilet paper, and when we called to ask for more (1.5 rolls for 5 people with 4 nights stay), they advised would be dropped off next morning… and none was ever dropped off. Thankfully convenience store across street had for highly inflated price.

I would like to say that this was a nice place and well worth the money in very expensive Reykjavik. The directions to place were not clearly updated with current major construction in the area which was very frustrating. Even our local cab driver could not make out where we were staying. The television was not hooked up, and considering it was relying on client to use their own Netflix or YouTube accounts, it made for no service. When we contacted the owner we were assured someone would take of it first thing in the morning. Never done! So two nights with no TV…not earth shattering but part of the price of room. I asked for a price adjustment to accommodate for this and have been ignored. I guess they have enough business.

We stayed at Hlemmur suites in March and loved it. The location is perfect for exploring many of the great restaurants that Reykjavík city center has to offer and taking day trips during the day. The suites are newly renovated and have all the necessities that we needed during our holiday. With a nice view and neat design. Check in was quick and easy and everything was very clean.

We stayed in a 3-1 which was perfect for our needs. We were on the 4th floor, so the street noise was fairly faint, though I could see it being a bigger issue on lower floors. Note that there is major road construction happening near the building so figuring out how to get there via navigation apps was a challenge (we ended up parking 2 blocks away and walking).

Our apartment was well equipped (with plenty of cooking utensils for our short stay), clean and modern. It was a good size for the 3 of us, had comfortable beds, was a good temperature and we had a view of the sea! Check-in was super easy with a keypad code to get in the building, the lift and the door of the apartment. Great location for catching the tour buses from stop #9 and easy to walk down the main shopping street for places to eat, the Bonus supermarket and bars etc. The main advantage was the closeness to the Hlemmur Foodhall which had a great selection of dining options. My only comments are that more hooks are needed for coats and more hangers in the bedroom and a toaster/ kettle would be good for us Brits, but otherwise, we had a great 4 night stay!!

Hlemmur is a very neat, clean and newly remodeled modern suite. It is self service, meaning there is no lobby to check in. You will receive access codes online, so make sure you receive them before your stay. We could not check in until late afternoon, so we had to rent a storage locker at the bus station and arrange for it to be transported later. This was a bit of an inconvenience so just be aware if you are flying in early in the morning. The suites are near a food court with a variety of great foods. It is a in a good location. It is a short walk to the harbor for aurora watching and shopping in town. Due to road construction and closures, there was some confusion with taxis finding us. We felt safe and very comfortable at Hlemmur. Communication with Hlemmur Suites was also very good with quick and helpful replies. We highly recommend it and would stay there again.

I would maybe skip on the breakfast, it was just a breadbun and croissant per person, and a slice of cheese, butter and small marmalede/jam. There is also no coffee machine, a part from a nespresso. So we were happy to have brought coffee bags. But the location is great, everything was walking distance, and just in general happy to have stayed in Hlemmur suites. :) thumps up.

It's within walking distance to rainbow Street, the harbor and all the attractions in Reykjavík we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and parking was easy in the garage. Family traveling with 4 children.

This stop is for both the Hop on Hop off buses, as well as many of the Go Iceland Tours to the Golden Circle or several of the Warm hot springs. Highly recommend.

I got the wrong room number in my document, code didn't work on that floor and had to call to get the correct room number. Through our stay we ran into a lot of other guests who had similar issues. Also the keypads they used on the floors and doors were extremely touchy and were really difficult to use, they should consider upgrading them for less frustration.
