Very nice apartment, separate bedroom, full kitchen, quiet hallways, with a cafe downstairs. One thing missing -- a workout/fitness room. Perhaps find a gym that would allow guests daily/weekly passes.

This place is fantastic! The rooms are spacious. Though we didn't use it, there is a nice-sized kitchen. No workout facilities on the premises but we did a lot of walking so we got our steps in. Lots of options to eat nearby and a nice walk to get to Waverly and other areas of interest. Would definitely stay here again

Great spot. Clean, Quiet, Great friendly staff, Kept Luggage Safe before and after check in times, staff called cabs for us when requested, great coffee shop on site, safety - keys needed to operate elevator, nice space, great walking location. Highly Recommend.

An excellent property in a very nice area of Edinburgh. Large rooms with kitchen and a lovely coffee shop in the entry area. Great restaurants in the immediate area.

We loved having a refrigerator, microwave, and dishes. The bed was comfortable and the fan was a great addition. There were so many dining options nearby, and just about anything you wanted to do was within walking distance. The staff was very helpful with any questions we had and also were available 24 hours which was great when we checked out around 3 AM to make our flight home. We loved Scotland!

The only area of improvement would for cafe staff to consistently apply the discount for guests of the hotel ordering before 10am (happened one day and not the other). Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Eden Locke. We had a studio room, decor and quality of finishes are great. Bed was comfy and had lovely pillows. Very clean and the staff were really nice and friendly too. We will be back!

Clean, quiet rooms, a bit dark in terms of artificial lighting, loved that they have a full functional kitchen and a washer/dryer. However the dry option leaves clothes damp so beware. Only major complaint is the shower door once you open it, all the water that gathers while showering, leaks out onto floor & creates a puddle

Mold, smelly, bed sheets like paper, bed uncomfortable, phone broken in room, overall room dirty and unkept. Very disappointed in this hotel. I’ve asked the hotel manager for a callback the night of my stay to address the smell in the bathroom and still no call.

Great hotel/studio very clean and new. Bed was very comfortable, staff very nice and willing to help. Location was prime. We walk every day since all places are from walking distance. Plenty of places to buy food, as well as entertainment

Eden Locke exceeded expectations! It was in a good location for us, away from the summer crowds but in walking distance of most activities on the Royal Mile. There were good restaurants on that main street. . The room/studio was clean and comfortable. I appreciated the extra touches like providing an umbrella, which was used. I would return to Eden Locke again!

Overall, a good stay. Kitchen in room is great and room was clean. There is no real dedicated staff - just someone who sits at reception next to the bustling cafè. This is more an air b n b than a hotel. Furnishings fine - room was poorly lit and shower produced a lake of water in the bathroom. It's ok - but not worth the price.

Really beautiful, comfortable space for short and long term stays (my second time booking here). A few of dishes had food still stuck to them but fortunately there’s a dishwasher en suite. Could do with slightly better lighting in the bedroom area as the hanging lamps are so low they can’t illuminate the pages of a book unless you get right beside them. There is a single overhead bulb but you have to get right under it (at the foot of the bed) if you desire anything bright. The lighting is just a minor issue and overall I really enjoy this hotel (and have found the brand consistency really high - I’ve stayed at the Dublin and Berlin locations as well). The staff is incredibly helpful and kind, assisting me in receiving groceries and deliveries. Really appreciate their hard work!

Eden Locke is a great place to stay. Its an apartment hotel located in a great spot. Its close to dining, shopping and grocery stores. Loved the fact that if you just wanted a quiet time in, all the utensils and appliances were there. We loved it.

The room was so specious and loved that there is a cute cafe right on site. We were a little surprised because it was pretty cold outside but the room got so hot at night. While they do have some rooms with AC, this one did not and while we would typically just open a window, this room was on the lower level with street access so we didn't feel comfortable doing so. Otherwise, we loved this room and the location is fantastic.

Great little place in the New Town area with shops and bars around it. Nice decor and clean and modern. I would say it was pretty noisy at night as there was a party somewhere out the back each night but it was a weekend and they do provide ear plugs and the windows are pretty sound proof when shut. My main issue with the room was the lighting! There were spotlights in the ceiling that were very dim and so it was not possible to get a bright light. There were a variety of lamps which gave a nice ambient light but sometimes you need to see what you are doing and it was basically too dark. Also the usual issue with plug sockets; why don’t they ever have one near the only mirror??! It’s so annoying when you want to dry your hair and it won’t reach to where the mirror is. Other than that would stay again as minor issues.

Very nice apartment close to all amenities and many restaurants, BUT 2 major issues: 1 - No AC. Wouldn't be a problem in the cooler seasons, but it was a nice 20 C outside when we were there. Inside the apartment it was uncomfortably hot. They provide a fan and you need to open the windows at night for cooler night air. 2 - Leaving the window open for cool air is problematic because the apartments back onto an open courtyard, inside of which is the outdoor smoking section for the Tiger Lily restaurant next door. The bar is open until 1 AM, so don't expect to get any sleep before that. Lots of loud drunks on the smoking patio until closing. The apartment itself is fantastic, but for the price we paid for our 2 nights there, I expected a much better experience. I won't stay there again until they install portable AC units and get a grip on their noisy neighbors. These improvements would make it a 5-star review, but until that happens, I can only give 3 stars.

We encountered many issues with our reservation - from the property advertising that they have AirCon, but it only being in certain rooms, from being misled about room availability time, to a loud group across the hall, and finally no staff available for over 30 minutes when we needed to pickup our luggage from storage, this was an incredibly disappointing experience for a 4 star hotel. The hotel was clean and in a great location, but I would not recommend a stay in Eden Locke. The staff did very little to rectify the issues we had, also, both during the stay and after it. To be avoided.

Just had a tiny bit of problem with the bathroom sink we reported to the receptionist before going out but came back still not fixed. It was the last night so we didn't bother. Anyway, still a great stay at Eden locke. Location is very convenient, near to shops and easy transport. Natasha helped us with checking in and was polite and helpful. I liked that other staffs were approachable too. Luggage storage is definitely a plus! Would go back here next time.

Excellent apartment to spend 3 days in beautiful Edinburgh. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the cafe at the front did a yummy chai latte. Huge choice of eating options in waling distance. Was an easy walk from the train station and other sites, or the public bus was only a street away. Wish I could have stayed longer

Good location . Only once a week housekeeping despite being very expensive . Did not like motion activated lighting in otherwise dark hallways . Did not like being told the late checkout fee was 30 pounds to stay an extra 2 hours . Did not like paying the late checkout fees but finding our cards had been deactivated at normal checkout time so we could not enter our room or use elevator until we once again had to visit front desk

Overall, really enjoyed my stay here. The property location is perfect. Walkable to old town and all major tourist attractions, while also a little away from the crowd. Really loved having a full kitchen and washer. The bathroom was great too. Everything was clean and well thought of. Modern, minimalist decor. It’s best of both worlds- an apartment and a hotel A minor annoyance was the key cards frequently being deactivated. Also, would have appreciated a bit more help from the staff, who seemed to have a lot on their plate keeping the cafe running too. I would also appreciate if some more thought to accessibility was given at the entrance, which has a couple of stairs and is a bit tight to get luggage inside. Overall, really enjoyed my stay here. The property location is perfect. Walkable to old town and all major tourist attractions, while also a little away from the crowd. Really loved having a full kitchen and washer. The bathroom was great too. Everything was clean and well thought of. Modern, minimalist decor. It’s best of both worlds- an apartment and a hotel A minor annoyance was the key cards frequently being deactivated. Also, would have appreciated a bit more help from the staff, who seemed to have a lot on their plate keeping the cafe running too. I would also appreciate if some more thought to accessibility was given at the entrance, which has a couple of stairs and is a bit tight to get luggage inside. Also, to run any appliance you have to solve an escape room style puzzle. I would definitely want to stay here again if I visit Edinburgh. Overall, 5 stars for me.

Both my fiancé and I would have to say our start at Eden Locke was one of the best we’ve ever had at a hotel! Great location - we walked EVERYWHERE; it was a 20 minute walk from Waverley station, 15 minute walk to Edinburgh Castle/the entrance of Old Towne, a street over from Prince Street, and a 30 minute walk to the botanical gardens - very friendly staff, and the room was awesome. It’s also a 20 minute bus ride to the zoo!!! We felt at home in our little studio and it really made the experience of traveling feel a little less foreign as Eden Locke truly became our “home” base to return to street a day full of adventuring sound Edinburgh. The hotel even offers complimentary yoga and they also offer city tours! Eden also had a lovely like cafe in its lobby called Mavyn that offered GF treats for travelers, like myself, who have wheat/gluten allergies!!! Highly recommend! We will definitely be staying at other Locke hotels again due to our exceptional first stay at Eden!

Eden Locke is a great place to stay. Its an apartment hotel located in a great spot. Its close to dining, shopping and grocery stores. Loved the fact that if you just wanted a quiet time in, all the utensils and appliances were there. We loved it.

We were traveling around on a two week trip and this was our favorite place that we stayed at! Very friendly staff, clean, and had a washer/dryer in unit which was a bonus! The cafe in the lobby had very good coffee and breakfast!

We loved having a refrigerator, microwave, and dishes. The bed was comfortable and the fan was a great addition. There were so many dining options nearby, and just about anything you wanted to do was within walking distance. The staff was very helpful with any questions we had and also were available 24 hours which was great when we checked out around 3 AM to make our flight home. We loved Scotland!
