Overall an excellent stay. Staff friendly and well presented hotel. Things that let it down for me; vegan mart in plastic pouches - single use, milk and coffee in room the same. We booked this hotel over other hotels close to Excel because it had electric vehicle charging points, they weren’t working upon arrival and no sign of them being put back in service anytime soon. Will have to look at alternative hotel for next time, which is a shame.

Work van broken into in the car park. Beware. There was old broken glass on the floor elsewhere so obviously not the first break in. Staff really didn’t care either. As expected as the service really lets this place down.

Modern hotel with all the amenities you would expect. Hotel was clean and rooms were of a reasonable size. Given proximity to DLR and City Airport the sound proofing was excellent. Added bonus was the inclusive breakfast. Main criticism is the lack or electric vehicle charging points. There are several in the car park but none of the work and don't seem to have done so for some time - what a waste!

Really enjoyed our one night stay in this hotel. It is opposite London City airport so is not a central London hotel but is very well served by public transport, being near to Royal Albert and Prince Regent DLR stations. We travelled to a concert at the London Stadium in Stratford and found it an easy journey (c. 30-40 mins to Stratford station). Our room was surprisingly large and was very clean (as were all the public areas). Room had a decent shower room, a lovely comfy queen bed, a desk, an armchair , a wardrobe, drawers, a safe, tea and coffee making facilities, an ironing board and iron, a TV and lots of plug sockets and a couple of usb points. Great blackout curtains. Also very quiet - no noise from the other rooms or the outside which was great. Our room was at the far side of the hotel. The hotel has a 24 hour bar - great for returning after a night out. Reasonably priced drinks (for London). There seemed to be a Chinese restaurant across the road. The complimentary breakfast was perfectly adequate - we got there at 10 on Saturday morning and there was loads of spaces to sit. Hot food, pastries, bagels, bread for toast, fruit, yoghurt, preserves, coffee machine and fruit juice machine (this appeared slightly watered down but tasted fine). All the staff we encountered were very friendly. We would definitely stay here if we were this way again again.

A bit disappointed, I only booked this hotel because it had electric charging points only to find when I got there weren’t working, possibly due to Hilton not renewing maintenance contract. Luckily the Moxy next door had one I managed to use.

Decent place, with pleasant helpful staff. Clean and fairly quiet. The gym is pretty small, and food is only ok, and like everything in the area, it isn't cheap, but there is helpful, not overpriced parking. A good choice in the area, all told.

Easy to find the hotel from DLR train. Reception very welcoming. Room lovely and clean (although I found a folding umbrella behind a chair which was quite obvious as the handle was poking out!)

We were created by friendly staff who made the check in easy. The room was okay, needs a proper clean though, finger print and hand marks seen on the door. Also, had the sofa bed pulled out for a bed, but the duvet was made up of a mattress topper and not an actual duvet. Breakfast was included in the stay, was nice but scrambled eggs tasted like they were powder

The venue is fine, if a little dated - the carpets were stained, the toilet leaked. The breakfast is decent but the restaurant food and service was terrible. The location is handy for the Excel and City Airport but little else....there are no shops, restaurants or coffee shops very close by.

We were greeted by friendly reception staff and directed to our room quickly. The room was a good size with everything needed for a comfortable stay. It was clean and comfortable as was the bathroom. It was on the top floor and on a corner away from the airport and trains so it was nice and quiet with good views across Docklands.

One of two elevators was broken for the entire duration of my stay, with both being non-functional (meaning a 6 floor hike) at one point. The room was clean and comfortable but my main issue was the air conditioning. The rooms are so dry and suffocating because the windows don’t open. So the only “fresh” air is recycled, dusty, hot and coming through an ac unit that automatically turns itself off at random and resets daily. This was a very uncomfortable aspect for personally and made it hard to sleep.

We had a nice room, in the corner overlooking the dock. The aircon had been disabled, and I had to argue to get it turned back on. The worst thing though was the mattress, which was really uncomfortable, creaked every time you moved, and felt like it should be replaced. Room 433

The bed was noisy - lots of springs made noise when moving in night and wasn't very comfortable. The breakfast was not great either, the room was crowded with tables and it was difficult to move though. As a person with coeliac, i won't come back. the chef was completely disinterested in helping me work out what could it and challenged me on my knowledge on my own medical confition

I had my electric toothbrush stolen from my room, no one had access apart from hotel house keeping staff. I reported the issue to the manager, Pete, he was very passive and doesn't care. Really stay away, many good hotels around.

Somewhat frustrating to be told you can check in early & your room is available at an agreed time, to find out that it's not when you arrive and you have to wait for it to be available- as well as not being told there is an extra charge for it being ready early! We were promised and are still waiting for a refund on the extra charge. Also, the people next door were traveling early in the morning and were very noisy and woke us up.

I booked 2 rooms and ended up being placed on floor 4 and floor 7. Before arriving, I called and I was told my request to be on the same floor will be looked at. Upon arrival, I was told this is not going to be possible, and that the manager who picked up the call could have done it at the time, but they didn't.

Staff are THEIFS and LIARS. Items stolen from room and reception “guarantee” staff don’t take them as the staff are searched! Lie to you repeatedly. Customer service is awful. Would give it a miss.

Fantastic location for the 02 and close to the DLR - staff were friendly , breakfast good. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds . Hair dryer and iron in room - toiletries provided although our shower gel was empty . NB - Be aware of early morning planes taking off .

Overall experience was good, I would recommend this location if you are only looking for a basic place to stay. They have a good selection for breakfast which is included… Be prepared to ride the tube, DLR Line or use an Uber to go anywhere, it’s far from anything that you want to do, or places to visit in London (city area). It’s about 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel to the tube, I would not walk alone or at night in the area. Not a commercial or residential area, so very little activity. It’s a good place to rest your head, everything is clean and well taken care of. If you are staying here for the London excel then be aware it’s in a weird location and can be difficult to find especially at night when transit becomes less available!

The water drainage in the shower was severely impaired, causing the water to drain very slowly. The second bed, a converted armchair, was in extremely poor condition and completely sagging. The breakfast was an absolute disaster – I have never experienced anything like it before. We had to wait in a long queue, and there were no available tables, so we had to eat standing up. The selection was extremely limited: only croissants, a single type of cheese, and very foul-smelling bacon. That was it. From the second day onwards, we decided to skip breakfast entirely.

Nice hotel - close to the train station. I would stay here again however I would make sure to go down for breakfast early. The area to get the food and drinks can get very congested. This makes it difficult to even get a cup of coffee, let alone make a waffle or toast. You begin to think it might be easier to leave the hotel to get breakfast rather than get caught up in breakfast traffic jam.

We stayed 3 nights first night we came back late and room was freezing we put the heating on and went to bed was cold all evening , following night the same next Day we came back earlier so called reception a lady came up and put it in and checked settings told us would take 15 mins still nothing she came up again and told us they had done something down stairs so should park again she reset it nothing we then called down as freezing asked for an extra quilt they rang back and said only had a flat sheet !! Then she came up with a quilt . Then over an hour later around 930pm we started getting a peep we called again she came up and turned it off completely in room said she would speak to her colleague to put it back in in 2 hours even tho wasn’t working she said she would log with maintenance said did we want to move rooms but it was late and our last night she told us to speak to reaction in check out which we did they fobbed us off saying there was no duty manager on ?!? Really . Breakfast was cold we init went down first day then tried second day still cold so init had a drink and ate for . I know included but poor . We feel very unsatisfied with what we paid and being cold surely Hampton by Hilton this isn’t your normal standards . Won’t be recommending didn’t get resolved poor stay .

The breakfast was amazing and I loved the waffle maker, especially that it timed itself for the perfect waffle. Every single member of staff was amazing. They were professional, polite and so helpful. The bed was extremely comfy. The room was a nice size with good AC and the check in was really easy. I booked on hotels.com and when I entered the same email on the Hilton app, the booking was already there. Whilst I would have preferred a better dinner menu, the food was good. Every detail throught the stay was thought out and it was miles better than the other hotels i'd stayed in around the area.
