The City Sleeper room was nice and modern but very expensive for what it offered. It was small although fine for one person. I understand that we mainly pay for the location but I still don't think it was worth the price. I was able to see some of the rooms at the Royal National Hotel, not the ones in the City Sleeper wing, and the difference didn't seem that significant despite the considerably lower price. The amenities are also all shared. Unfortunately, I got sick during my stay and there was no room service and the hotel restaurants were outside the building. The small convenience shop next to reception didn't have many options apart from snacks which couldn't really replace a proper meal. This is absolutely fine at the price you pay for a room at the Royal National Hotel but not at the price I paid for a City Sleeper room. I would recommend checking availability at the regular Royal National Hotel first and then considering the rooms at the City Sleeper wing. The City Sleeper is a good option because of the location but I don't think it's worth the price.

Overall very good, unfortunately no aircon but the room was bearable with the fan, the hotel is well located and good value, my only negative was the quality of the breakfast.
