Hampton Inn & Suites Memphis Germantown

We had a great stay at Hampton Inn & Suites! Staff was friendly, breakfast was good with lots of options, room was clean with a soft bed and lots of space, and there is a shopping complex right next door with a great coffee shop in it. Traveled with wife and baby and there was plenty of room for a pack n play. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use the pool or gym, but they looked well maintained and clean. Something to note is that this hotel does not have a back up generator so if power goes out, it's out. We were without power from 11pm to 5am due to a bad storm one night while we were there, but we were sleeping so no big deal. We would definitely stay here again!

This is a very nice and clean hotel. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast this morning was good. If I had to say anything negative about the stay, it would be because one of the elevators was not working.

Such a nice hotel! When you walk in, the lobby smells so good and the staff are very welcoming. The hotel is clean and a great place to stay if you’re in the area.

I enjoyed my stay here! The staff was very personable and friendly! The hotel was clean. My only concern is you have to request housekeeping. I would definitely stay here again!

Everything was very new and nice. My only concern was I spilt some water in the bathroom and wiped it up with a hand towel and the towel turned black from all the dirt on the floor. Makes me wonder if the bathroom ever gets mopped. For as nice as the hotel was that was really disappointing.

Nice, but none of the baseboard or any of the furniture had been cleaned in a very long time. Thick on baseboard in bath in particular.

The property is looking a little worn. The “breakfast” leaves a lot to be desired; the scrambled eggs were inedible while the make your own waffles were great! Potatoes were soggy and we didn’t try the breakfast meats and biscuits and gravy. There was yogurt ( yay) and a nice selection of breads/bagels. The coffee was pretty bad ( although they tried with canisters of dark, medium and decaf. The deal breaker: I watched a staff member wipe a serving spoon with the same cloth she wiped the counter and put it back. One more thing: we spilled coffee in our bed. I thought housekeeping would have changed the linens but merely made the bed. We will stay there again as it is the closest hotel to our family in Memphis.

The hotel wasn’t clean and didn’t have a clean feel to it We arrived at 11:05pm. The girl at the front desk was more interested in speaking with a coworker than getting us checked in. We had to wait for them to finish their conversation I was then charge another fee of$25.00 for what I’m not sure. She then tried to charge me for the room I had already paid for online

Beautiful hotel, ONLY reason I gave a 4 star is because there was an empty bottle of hair soap in my shower. I would think housekeeping would check them in between reservations. Other than that, GORG.

The location was great and the staff was wonderful. The overall condition of the room was average at best and could use some touch up-mis-matched paint, worn couch with stains.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful and very clean. The only thing that I can say that I didn’t like about it was the pillows. They were awful, but other than that, the beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. Loved that they had shampoo soap and conditioner in the shower is ready for you.

Staying at this Hampton Inn was nearly perfection! It was quiet, non-smoking and the staff was very friendly. My room was very clean and cozy. The only complaint about my room was my having to unplug the refrigerator because it was rattling so loud to where I couldn’t stand it anymore. Lastly, on my second day there, I had the breakfast in the lobby. It was okay. Lots of choices. Only I immediately became sick upon reentering my room and felt bad for the remainder of the day. Imagine taking a 4 hour trip home and having to stop to vomit every 20 miles. I loved the stay, but I probably won’t have the breakfast again.

The one thing I didn't like there is a parking lot light shining onto the bed and I had to get creative to block that light so I could sleep because of curtains not closing all the way.

The room was nice. Large shower. Friendly staff. Breakfast was terrible. The eggs were bathed in water. The chicken sausage was tough and overcooked. The potatoes were tough and tasted like they came out of a microwave. The pillows on the bed were flat and uncomfortable. The refridgerator would not kewp our drinks cold. These types of things make it hard to justify paying over $200 a night.

Pillows were too soft. Unable to use room coffee pot. Otherwise, nice and comfortable room. Nice staff.

The hotel rooms are dark. Walls/ decor/ drapery so it made the rooms feel dark.

The mattress was very uncomfortable

I wish I’d had breakfast. But since they gave my reserved room away to someone else, I was forced elsewhere

Checkin in was eventful due to an issue with Expedia but desk clerk was nice and tried to help. Checkout experience was terrible! Front desk gentlemen didn’t want to provide me with itemize bill and was telling that I needed to provide another credit card due to Expedia issue.

We had numerous issues. First, we were given a room close to the desk on the first floor. Our window looked out onto the parking lot. I was never able to open the blinds because there were cars and people constantly moving in and out of the hotel, so our room stayed dark and unpleasant. I tried to upgrade, and was willing to pay any fee, but I was rudely told I could not change rooms since I booked through a third party. This has never prevented me from changing rooms or upgrading, ever. I then had issues with basic supplies. The coffee pot was terribly dirty and unusable. There was no shampoo, conditioner, and no body wash in the shower. I discovered this while showering - totally inconvenient. I called the front desk and was told these items were on back order. I asked why no one informed me of this when I checked in, for which the front desk had no response. I had to use hand soap for shampoo that resulted in a rash on my forehead. Lastly, the front desk person was incredibly rude to multiple people. I witnessed her speak rudely and sharply to many guests, unnecessarily, not just me. Over the years, I have stayed in Hiltons across the country and across the globe. I have never, ever experienced such poor service at any Hilton nor at any other hotel. I expect Hilton to do better. I will not return here.

Check in was terrible. We were there for an event and we could not check in due to a system update. Staff had no idea how long it would take and no back up plan to get us in our room so we had to get dressed in the lobby washroom. This was at 4pm which is primetime for check in. We also asked for house keeping we needed more towels and our garbage collected. We stayed 2 nights and never received any assistance. When i checked out i told staff about my bad experience and to add insult the manager said there was nothing they could do because i used a 3rd party company "Expedia" for my stay. I told them im an Hilton Honors member and it still didn\'t make a difference. The facility was nice, breakfast was good but sadly those 3 incidents made my stay very frustrating and that is why my overall stay was rated poor.

Maintenance was helpful when I had issues with the thermostat. Only issue when I arrived it was late and tried to get help with the thermostat and the person at the front desk was not helpful and hung up on me with no resolution or follow-up about the status.

I paid for a room at this hotel only to be told at check in that I had been moved to a different hotel without my knowledge. I was still charged for the more expensive hotel.

I have asked for a copy of my bill or invoice to put on my expense account all day today! I still don’t have it. If I don’t have by in the morning I will never stay in a Hilton owned hotel!

The water was contaminated such that we couldn't use it for anything than flushing the toilet. Therefore, no showers, washing of hands, and no hot breakfast. They did provide limited bottled water, but trying to bathe with bottled water is a challenge.

The Hampton Inn in Germantown is always a great choice. We’ve stayed there multiple times and it is consistently clean and in good condition. As with most hotels, post-pandemic, you have to request daily service. Requests for extra towels, etc are always accommodated. The free breakfast is good- nothing fancy but enough to get you going. The neighborhood is great, lots of great dining options nearby (Moondance!) and Saddlecreek shopping center is just a mile away for your mall-like shopping needs.

The location was close to our relatives for a family meet and greet event. We enjoyed our breakfast on both weekend days for a good start.

Our visit to the Hampton Inn Germantown was exceptional. We received an upgrade to a king suite room. What a spacious comfortable space. Breakfast choices were plentiful and delicious. We will choose this hotel for our next stay.
