It’s a lovely hotel. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast included is good. I would stay there again. The property also had a beer garden, pub and other entertaining areas. The complimentary refreshments and chocolate in the rooms are a great addition.

This was a last minute hotel that we found and was the most perfect pick. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The staff were so helpful and kind. Amazing breakfast and great outdoor garden and pub for meals and a drink:) Will be coming back!

Booked for 3 of us, as at a networkibg evebt at Kia Oval, about 25mins away fromnthe Oval. Half Moon is a great venue, massive bar abd outside areas, nice resturant, evening fiid was good, breakfast was excellent. The rooms are large with a generous very comfortable double bed. Overall an excellent place to stay. Be aware its at least a 20min walk to the nearest rail station.

This is a fantastic hotel in a pub in a lovely area, the staff were super friendly we arrived half an hour before check-in but sat in the pub garden and enjoyed some food and drink and could have stayed there all day if we didn't have other plans. The included breakfast was delicious!

Quirky old pub with an interesting history, just off Brockwell Park. Has a great bar, the breakfasts were excellent and staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Our bedroom was well equipped with a coffee machine and nice selection of coffees and teas, bottled water and fresh milk - a nice touch. We also appreciated the little gift left outside our bedroom on Christmas morning. Only gripes were that our bedroom was a bit dingy - the decor could do with cheering up a little and the window looked out onto a wall - which I wasn't expecting and would have preferred it otherwise. The bed was a bit lumpy and bedding rather ill-fitting, though it was fresh and clean, as were the towels, which were changed daily. Also there was a ventilation chute boxed into the corner of the room, which obviously ran up from the kitchen, as it was quite noisy. Oh, and the mirror in the bathroom is small and set too high on the wall - I had to stand on my tip-toes to put make-up on, which wasn't fun. Small details which, if attended to would make for a really fantastic stay.

Got no sleep due to trains rumbling by till late and then started again early next morning. No double glazing. The window hasn't been cleaned since the blitz. The bathroom floor could do with a good clean. The bed was comfy though. Small food portions in the restaurant. The staff were really nice and helpful.

What a beautiful place to stay. So comfy and clean and a great location, 4 min walk from station, lots of bars, restaurants/ cafes and shops close by. The staff were so kind and helpful. The best eggs and avocado on sour dough I have ever had for breaky. I will stay again. The extra perks like coffee and sparking water/ beer was a lovely added touch.

Pleasant breakfast/dining area. Good breakfast choice. Staff very helpful and polite. Work being done outside hotel but we were advised about it and it did not affect us. Room was as advertised. Good decoration but little things need adjusting i.e. curtain hook holding the swag needed attention, loose mirror and toilet roll holder. Pleasantly surprised to find beer , water and milk in frige plus chocolates with tea/ coffee Maid very helpful . Beds clean and comfortable plus new towels each day. Our room was on 2nd floor and the stairs were quite steep, but on the whole we had a very pleasant stay. Would stay again.

Really enjoyed my stay beautiful hotel and room I did not hear the pub downstairs at all decor was lovely room was spacious and clean had complimentary drinks tea coffee biscuits the staff were lovely polite helped carry my pram and luagge upstairs I arrived late breakfast was lovely you could have a full English vegan lots on the menu also breakfast buffet catered for vegan and non dairy will definitely return

My Mother had a wonderful stay at the Half Moon Hotel. I accidentally booked this hotel a year ago - long story but needless to stay it ended up all working out well. Staff were amazing, friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. Really enjoyed the stay and service. Thank you to all the Half Moon staff for making my Mum feel so special.

We were very pleasantly surprised at just how lovely the room was. We were located at the end of the corridor in the Irwin Room. It was nicely furnished, very large bed and a large family-sized bathroom with stand alone bath and separate power shower. The building itself is Victorian and the room had the original fireplaces and very interesting décor. There was a kettle and a coffee pod machine in the room and a mini fridge. There were also various types of tea and coffee to sample, as well as a cheeky bottle of ale and refreshments in the fridge as well as chocolates. We were also grateful for the disposable slippers and fluffy bathrobes which was a lovely touch. The restaurant was very comfortable and the food was lovely. The only negative comment would be the busy main road, however the room had very thick curtains which cut out most of the traffic noise, just the odd emergency vehicle could be heard. Nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in the suite and it was absolutely lovely . Really spacious room with stained glass windows and beautiful period decor. There was both a bath and a shower,a pop up TV at the end of the bed and good quality coffee and tea ( tea pig) provided. As a listed building the windows are single glazed so you do hear traffic which was the only downside. However, they even provide earplugs!

The location if you are attending a show in Brixton is really good as there is a bus going straight to Brixton and only takes 15min. There is also various shops and market on Sundays. We enjoyed pub food, the sticky toffee pudding is to die for 10/10! Hotel staff were super welcoming and we even got a free upgrade on a weekend! The amenities are just next level; the bath is huge and deep, but if you are not much of a bath person there is also a shower. They provide with all the necesery toiletries. There is a mini fridge in the room and they provide a complimentary beer and water! Plus a fresh milk! In terms of tea and coffee, plenty to choose from, capsule coffee pods, coffee teabags and various Tea Pigs tea flavors to choose from! Bed is super comoftable. Although you can gear the noise on the street, they provide earplugs. Breakfast is included and I must say what a feast! You get lovely selection of fruits, fruit salad, pastries and cereal, but also cooked breakfast. Which was just amazing! It was our second time and last time we didn't enjoy the breakfast. But not this time! It was so good! We will definetly be back again!

Overall, an incredible stay! The rooms were comfortable and full of character. The breakfast options (and dinner) where phenomenal. We look forward to visiting again! Staff were welcoming and friendly. However, communication regarding check-in and check-out needs improvement, specifically during non-business hours (11pm - 2am). The surrounding area is accessible and diverse. There are numerous restaurants and stores, a local park, busses, and a train station just around the corner that brings you into Central London.

I want to thank the staff for their fantastic service and helpfulness. We were staying to attend a Civil Partnership in nearby Brockwell Park and they pulled out all the stops to help us check in early so we could get to the ceremony on time- brilliant!

This was a great place to stay at! They had great customer service first and foremost. The rooms was spacious, clean , and equipped with a frig, coffee maker, safe, and towel rack heater. Their breakfast was extremely delicious. Overall a great experience.

My Mother had a wonderful stay at the Half Moon Hotel. I accidentally booked this hotel a year ago - long story but needless to stay it ended up all working out well. Staff were amazing, friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. Really enjoyed the stay and service. Thank you to all the Half Moon staff for making my Mum feel so special.

Great location for visiting family in the area. Excellent bus access to Tube. No lift and steepish stair so perhaps not for the physically challenged. Extremely friendly and obliging staff and very clean and comfortable. No obvious parking.

Overall, an incredible stay! The rooms were comfortable and full of character. The breakfast options (and dinner) where phenomenal. We look forward to visiting again! Staff were welcoming and friendly. However, communication regarding check-in and check-out needs improvement, specifically during non-business hours (11pm - 2am). The surrounding area is accessible and diverse. There are numerous restaurants and stores, a local park, busses, and a train station just around the corner that brings you into Central London.

What a beautiful place to stay. So comfy and clean and a great location, 4 min walk from station, lots of bars, restaurants/ cafes and shops close by. The staff were so kind and helpful. The best eggs and avocado on sour dough I have ever had for breaky. I will stay again. The extra perks like coffee and sparking water/ beer was a lovely added touch.

The location if you are attending a show in Brixton is really good as there is a bus going straight to Brixton and only takes 15min. There is also various shops and market on Sundays. We enjoyed pub food, the sticky toffee pudding is to die for 10/10! Hotel staff were super welcoming and we even got a free upgrade on a weekend! The amenities are just next level; the bath is huge and deep, but if you are not much of a bath person there is also a shower. They provide with all the necesery toiletries. There is a mini fridge in the room and they provide a complimentary beer and water! Plus a fresh milk! In terms of tea and coffee, plenty to choose from, capsule coffee pods, coffee teabags and various Tea Pigs tea flavors to choose from! Bed is super comoftable. Although you can gear the noise on the street, they provide earplugs. Breakfast is included and I must say what a feast! You get lovely selection of fruits, fruit salad, pastries and cereal, but also cooked breakfast. Which was just amazing! It was our second time and last time we didn't enjoy the breakfast. It was difficult to find the reception as it was at the back and the pub/bar takes the lead. But once we found it we were shown to our room. And what a room it was! So spacious, beautiful décor, comfortable bed, huge bathroom with shower and a tub! The rooms are a nice mix between rustic and modern. We got a whole espresso machine in the room, there were espresso shots, coffee bags, and a great variety of tea to choose from! Also want to mention that we stayed over a loud and busy Friday night, the pub/bar was booming, but in our rooms -perfect serenity! Now there is room for improvement. I am not sure if I was showering over a busy time period, but the water didn't stay consistent temperature, it ran warm and cold constantly. Plus, maybe the shower drain needs a look at because the shower basin kept filling up. So if you have a chance, maybe have a bath instead as it will be the perfect temperature opening the hot water faucet alone. Breakfast is included in the price! It was a very fancy-looking breakfast! It comes with one choice of continental, we picked fruit bowls, and a choice of cooked hot breakfast, we had full English and plant-based full English. I would steer away from the plant-based one as it is vegan, so no eggs, but scrambled, plain tofu with turmeric. Which I did not enjoy. And you only get one sausage, which was not that great. So maybe choose the salmon option instead. we are glad the breakfast was included because we felt it wasn't great.

This is a fantastic hotel in a pub in a lovely area, the staff were super friendly we arrived half an hour before check-in but sat in the pub garden and enjoyed some food and drink and could have stayed there all day if we didn't have other plans. The included breakfast was delicious!

Breakfast here is phenomenal. We also had dinner here and was blown away. Location is quaint and convenient. There is the occasional street noise and the building is very beautiful. I'm excited to see their renovations done since the scaffolding there during our stay was a bit of a bummer to see.

A little gem! So lovely to have a drinks voucher on arrival and the breakfast the next morning was great, lots to choose from. The room was perfect. The only slight issue was the noise of the traffic as close to a junction but otherwise peaceful in the hotel!
