Paradise Hot Springs - Thermal Water & Volcano Views

This is a beautiful resort. The hot springs are very natural and relaxing, and very clean. There is an infinity pool looking out at the volcano. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We in got a lot hiking and activity in the area but also enjoyed the gym at the hotel which is well- equipped.

Beautiful property, very friendly staff, highly recommend. Only issues we had were (1) Daily bottle of wine promised as part of package was not provided (2) hot spring pools always seemed to be in some sort of maintenance mode before noon

Beautiful view of the mountain and plenty of great and beautiful hot springs of different temperature. And probably on of the best massages of my life!

Beautiful hotel with clean, beautiful hot springs. They're all natural, emptied and cleaned regularly and refilled with natural water. The staff were great too. The poolside bar is fun & food delicious.

I really enjoyed the fact that it was in the middle of the jungle, the breakfast was top tier everyday. I enjoyed the hot springs they were really nice, and the rooftop pool overlooking the volcano was the cherry on top.

Breakfast was great, especially the first day as they made delicious French toast. The waffles were good them second day but not great, needed some peanut butter available for toast, French toast, and waffles. The coffee in the cafe bar was top notch but unfortunately not available in the morning. The in room coffee was decent but the coffee at the breakfast was not great. It would be worth bringing your own coffee grounds to the room. Service at restaurant and checkin were excellent. The hot springs were fantastic and well used. Very good fitness room and great massage staff

The thermal pools and spas were wonderful!! They drain each night and refill with fresh water everyday. The rooms were top notch. We had a room with a view of Arenal Volcano and a hot tub. We enjoyed the food. Breakfast is free and they put on a dinner buffet that is $30 per person that is well worth it. Definitely recommend!!

Friendly and accomodating staff. Excellent thermal pool maintenance

It was amazing and the hot springs pools were amazing. It was nice a quiet when we checked in. Looked around excited. Went to our beautiful rooms and changed into our bathing suits to relax in the hot springs. When we had gotten back 3 buses of day pass people had arrived and taken all the lounge, chairs and filled up the pools and bar. It was sad. They should change the children’s pool since it was the only one barely used or one of them to a guests only pool. We paid a lot of money so we wouldn’t be at an over run Baldi resort but it happened here anyways. Everything else was perfect and when they all left about 6 pm it got peaceful again. Unfortunately we had already made 6:30 reservations for the restaurant. We ate later the next day so we could have some of the zen we were looking for. Staff was amazing

Excellent cleaning

So very pleased with everything about our stay at Paradise Hot Springs. All of the staff was súper attentive and professional. The thermal pools were emptied and pressure cleaned every day (impressive), then obviously refilled. Everything was constantly being maintained and cleaned. The breakfast was beyond our expectations. The location was peaceful and quiet. Loved our time there. Highly recommend this stay.

Paradise Hot Springs was amazing. Rooms were immaculate and super clean. Hot springs were clean and so much fun. With all the older hotels in the area so glad we stayed here. Clean and close to the town with tons of food options.

This could be an amazing property. The view at the coffee shop and the infinity pool is perfect. The hot springs are nice. We had a 3rd floor volcano view room with a hot tub and the room was absolutely phenomenal EXCEPT the hundreds of ants that invaded the room every night and other bugs and lizards. I reported this and was told, "well you are in the rainforest that is normal". I had never been here so I accepted it, although it made it very difficult to sleep. I had to put on shoes (which I kept on the bed) to get up at night and walk to the bathroom. When I say hundreds, I literally mean HUNDREDS of large ants crawling all over the floors, walls, and ceiling. We talked to people at surrounding resorts and they did not have this same experience. The front desk lady said she would have someone spray outside our room but that was all she could do. It did not help at all. We realized that the ants were coming in around the air conditioner and the doors had no seals on the bottoms so there was a huge gap that the larger bugs and lizards were entering through. We went on to stay in a tent in the forest of Monteverde after we left La Fortuna and we did not even have the amount of critters enter our tent out in the forest as we did our room at Paradise Hot Springs. I would have rated this resort so much higher but this night time experience in our room was simply unacceptable and the staff just discounted our concerns completely. And no we did not have any food in our room!

This is a very clean place with good customer service and thoughtful touches. The best room they have is worth it with a direct view of Volcano Arenal and a private hot tub. Well done.

The room was clean, the free breakfast was great, and the hot springs were a welcome addition at the end of a long day. The bar served good cocktails and the staff was very attentive to guests staying at the hotel. There were a lot of day use guests that seemed to clear out by about 8pm. The rooms were like boxes…not much natural light or views of anything except the hedges or staircases leading to the rooms above you.

The stay was so amazing! Excellent service, huge room that was perfectly clean, comfortable beds! The property is kept in great condition, the pools are exceptional! Excellent views. Easily the best hotel we stayed in the entire trip!

We had a lovely ground floor room facing the fields and the volcano. Beautiful patio with incredible views. Not all rooms have views or large patios.

We had the newest volcano view jacuzzi suit and it was hands down the most amazing room I’ve stayed in (seeing as how I stay in 100 rooms a year)! The view was amazing, the personal 12 person Roman tub spa on the balcony is secluded and overlooks the volcano. We had an outdoor shower with 1 way glass that overlooked the volcano and the room was just built in January 2023 - amazing! The property was spectacular. We went to several other hotels and used their hot springs and we found that we liked these the best. Also the best cocktails in alajuela! The volcano is freaking delicious! The buffet breakfast is large and they also have normal menu items if your like me and don’t want a buffet every day. The staff was amazing and so friendly

The hotel has thermal pools that are opened to the public for a fee. There is no privacy as a hotel guest to use the pool. Room are very clean but have no view.

The hotel is good, and the location has a good view of the volcano, but the service is terrible, the staff is very rude. After we checked out we received a call from the reception called us to charge us 20 dollars because they couldn't find the shampoo bottle, after insisting so much that they would check that we had left it in the bathtub and to ask for the manager's contact She said that they would not charge us. We wrote to the manager to tell him what happened, who did not respond to the message, not even with an apology. After having paid $700 per night and generally poor service and the event at check-out, we do not recommend the Hotel.

Ronaldo explained the maintenance process for the thermal pools, including their daily emptying, cleaning, and refilling, as well as the water source and overall upkeep of the hotel. Ronaldo and Jackie were fantastic, and everyone at the hotel was exceptionally kind.

The staff offer a ton of complimentary services. One of the staff (Kenneth, who was awesome) came to our room and we told him all of the things we were thinking about doing in the area. He gave us additional recommendations, made all of our reservations for us, and gave us a detailed printed itinerary. It took literally no effort on our part. Incredible!

The hot springs are fantastic. The staff in the dining and bar areas are excellent. However, the front desk staff were non responsive. There were roaches in our room as well as an exterior security camera with a view into the shower window.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff

We stayed at Paradise for a night before heading elsewhere. Loved their Hot Springs - especially the swim up bar. Room was huge and as nice as anything in the area within this price range. Two minor pieces of negative feedback: our shower was lukewarm at best both times we used it. We also had our towel & room key taken from our pool chair and the front desk associate gave us some attitude when we asked for a new towel new room key. Outside of that - this is a great hotel for the price range.

Everything about Paradise Hot Springs was wonderful! The room was clean and comfortable and the pools were lovely to soak in after our activities. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Jackie and Warren who made all our arrangements for transportation and activities. The resort is a quick taxi ride into La Fortuna and tour companies will pick up and drop off there as well. I would highly recommend!

Nice friendly staff. Only complaint is that dining option is few and limited in service hours. Also, thermal pools also had rigid time restrictions. Other than that, wonderful resort. Would definitely go back!

This small, boutique property is literally at the base of the Arenal volcano. It is on the main road like most of the other thermal springs hotels, which has easy access to restaurants to shopping. The breakfast was amazing and we looked forward to it every morning. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was huge and it included shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. The thermal pools were Literally outside of every single hotel room door. They are drained every night cleaned and refilled every morning for cleanliness.

Beautiful property overlooking the volcano, it was a large room that over looked the fields below Arenal, there were horses and cows right in front of our window. The breakfast was great and the hot springs were very relaxing. Great location near the down but a few kilometers away from the hustle and bustle so very peaceful.

We loved our stay at Paradise hot springs resort! The property is beautiful and the staff are so nice and helpful. I would recommend having a car to be able to drive to additional restaurants and attractions in the town of La Fortuna.

The springs were gorgeous and the unobstructed view of Arenal was unmatched. Could use exterior lighting on “entrada” sign as it was difficult to see when pulling in at night. Almost all of La Fortuna is not very walkable (not safely at least) and this property is no different but had everything we needed on site. Had many meals and drinks and they and the service were great.

The hotel has a great assortment of pools with different temperatures. The location of the hotel is relatively close to La Fortuna, and the hang it bridges.

Really nice property, close to town but enough away to not have bustle. Great to be able to do trips during the day, then relax in the pool in the evening. Killer views of the volcano from the viewing deck (outside the coffee/snack bar) Rooms were spacious, impeccably clear. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Only downside was that the restaurant food was not great. But hotel restaurant food rarely is. Go eat at a Soda!

Our stay great. The only area I would like improved is the food, specifically the dinner buffet.

Is a beautiful hotel the staff is really amiable and professionalThe food needs a lot of improvement, not the buffet the other restaurant that is à la carte , the fish that they gave us we couldn’t eat it. It was like old uncooked something was wrong with it.

It was a great option to have the hot springs nightly. The breakfast was excellent and lots of options including an omelette bar. The food we did pay for at dinner time we were not impressed with but there were excellent dining options in La Fortuna. We did lots of days doing self driving and returning here at night. We were able to do these things from this location: la Fortuna waterfall, Rio Celeste, Arenal 1968 hiking trail, mistico hanging bridges. Only thing they could do is to post to wash your bathing suits after going in the hot springs always as they smell horrible when dry.

Pleasant and relaxing with excellent spa and hot springs. Massage super. Loved the wildlife in the field above and the outside shower with the cows. Bar hours so limited and attitude was slothlike. Restaurant quality inconsistent.

Enjoyed our two night stay - the variety of thermal pools was nice and relaxing. Room was very modern and well designed. Bathrobes were a nice addition. Only complaint was that the dinner was very overpriced (we ordered the local steaks - they were almost $50USD each but had a lot of gristle and not the best cuts of meat).

Nice hotel, beds were comfortable and luxury rooms spacious with a good view. Breakfast had lots of choices, food and drinks to purchase were expensive. Easy to Uber from this location.
