This is a very nice, small hotel. All units on the ground floor. Excellent service and very good breakfast. Posh towels and toiletries. Good signage, but SatNav can take you to a pub, which is actually across a green park area from another street with the same name. Their sign is black and you park in the back of the property. The staff were all very kind. Lots of great coffee pods and tea and cookies are provided. A sweet little place and we hope to go again.

This is a gem of a B&B. We were contacted by Faye before we arrived with the instructions on how access the property which were easy to carry out. The property was warm & welcoming which was great as it was a very cold outside. The room & ensuite bathroom were tidy & clean. We had a King bed which was luxurious and comfy. There were tea & coffee making facilities in the room which included biscuits, yummy!! Cooked breakfast is chosen in advance on a form & the items to choose from are substsntial. There is also porridge, muesli & fruit. The form needs to be returned to the table in the entrance by 8pm. We were visiting family in Waterbeach & the location of the property was 5 minutes away. There is a lounge which is a conservatory. It has a ceiling fan, widescreen TV, coffee/tea pod machine, dinnerware (plates, utensils, wine glasses). Cooked breakfast is served once you sit down at your table in the breakfast room. You can make toast from several types of bread, croissant, tea, coffee, 3 types of juice, yoghurt, jams, Marmite along with several other items. The cooked breakfast arrived within 10 minutes freshly made & brought to our table. It was tasty & items were locally sourced rather than from a supermarket. Faye is a darling who treated us so well. She reflects the atmosphere of the property, comfy, immaculatestylish but comfy. Faye even went out her way to text us to confirm our choices for breakfast when we completely forgot. Will stay again for sure.

The room was well appointed and clean, everything you could possibly need was provided, breakfast was excellent and made fresh to order, and the hosts Lisa and Phil were helpful and attentive to every detail. We will certainly stay there again!

Dejligt sted i fredelige og rolige omgivelser. Fantastisk morgenmad. Vi håber dog, at hotels.com vil gøre bedre opmærksom på, at man skal kontakte stedet før ankomst, da man eller sikke kan komme ind. Vi ankom kl. 15 (indtjekningstid) og måtte stå ude i regnen i næsten en halv time, før vi blev lukket ind af nogle andre gæster, der tilfældigvis var der. Vi havde prøvet at ringe på hovednummeret, men der blev ikke svaret, så vi anede ikke, hvad vi skulle gøre. En af gæsterne havde et mobilnummer på ejeren, så det lykkedes os at få at vide, hvilket værelse vi skulle bo i samt en kode til hoveddøren. Det var meget utilfredsstillende. Der står på hjemmesiden, at der er daglig rengøring, men da vi kom tilbage til værelset efter en lang dags sightseeing, lå vores våde håndklæder stadig på gulvet, og der var ikke gjort rent. Da vi sagde det til ejeren, sagde hun, at det var pga covid-restriktioner, at de ikke havde lov til at gå ind på værelset uden vores tilladelse. Vi var ikke blevet spurgt og forstod heller ikke, at der fortsat var restriktioner. Vi fik så rene og tørre håndklæder. så det endte meget fint og vil anbefale stedet, hvis det bliver bedre kommunikeret, hvordan man kommer ind, og hvilke restriktioner der eventuelt er.

The large rooms have been divided into a number of cosy well appointed rooms Check in was self service and very well organised Ordering breakfast was via a well designed form Lisa and Phil are lovely and we met them at breakfast! Breakfast is one of the best I've ever had, all freshly cooked by Phil! Highly recommended

We stayed overnight as we were in the area to look at a greenhouse. Great stay and very comfortable - massive bed! Self check in worked fine. Breakfast was included and was delicious abd plentiful. Could not anyone to say bye to and thank you so self check out too. Yea at local pubs - they were fine. Handy for Cambridge as was just 20 mins away.,

Dejligt sted i fredelige og rolige omgivelser. Fantastisk morgenmad. Vi håber dog, at hotels.com vil gøre bedre opmærksom på, at man skal kontakte stedet før ankomst, da man eller sikke kan komme ind. Vi ankom kl. 15 (indtjekningstid) og måtte stå ude i regnen i næsten en halv time, før vi blev lukket ind af nogle andre gæster, der tilfældigvis var der. Vi havde prøvet at ringe på hovednummeret, men der blev ikke svaret, så vi anede ikke, hvad vi skulle gøre. En af gæsterne havde et mobilnummer på ejeren, så det lykkedes os at få at vide, hvilket værelse vi skulle bo i samt en kode til hoveddøren. Det var meget utilfredsstillende. Der står på hjemmesiden, at der er daglig rengøring, men da vi kom tilbage til værelset efter en lang dags sightseeing, lå vores våde håndklæder stadig på gulvet, og der var ikke gjort rent. Da vi sagde det til ejeren, sagde hun, at det var pga covid-restriktioner, at de ikke havde lov til at gå ind på værelset uden vores tilladelse. Vi var ikke blevet spurgt og forstod heller ikke, at der fortsat var restriktioner. Vi fik så rene og tørre håndklæder. så det endte meget fint og vil anbefale stedet, hvis det bliver bedre kommunikeret, hvordan man kommer ind, og hvilke restriktioner der eventuelt er.

We stayed overnight as we were in the area to look at a greenhouse. Great stay and very comfortable - massive bed! Self check in worked fine. Breakfast was included and was delicious abd plentiful. Could not anyone to say bye to and thank you so self check out too. Yea at local pubs - they were fine. Handy for Cambridge as was just 20 mins away.,

Stayed for two nights, visiting Cambridge but wanting to avoid the city-centre hotels. Great location - Waterbeach Station is 5 mins walk from where its 2 stops / £3 to Cambridge Central. Accommodation was ideal. Lisa made arrival simple, and the room was comfortable, quiet and well equipped. Breakfast was delicious and Lisa very friendly and helpful. Will definitely come again.

This is a very nice, small hotel. All units on the ground floor. Excellent service and very good breakfast. Posh towels and toiletries. Good signage, but SatNav can take you to a pub, which is actually across a green park area from another street with the same name. Their sign is black and you park in the back of the property. The staff were all very kind. Lots of great coffee pods and tea and cookies are provided. A sweet little place and we hope to go again.

This is a gem of a B&B. We were contacted by Faye before we arrived with the instructions on how access the property which were easy to carry out. The property was warm & welcoming which was great as it was a very cold outside. The room & ensuite bathroom were tidy & clean. We had a King bed which was luxurious and comfy. There were tea & coffee making facilities in the room which included biscuits, yummy!! Cooked breakfast is chosen in advance on a form & the items to choose from are substsntial. There is also porridge, muesli & fruit. The form needs to be returned to the table in the entrance by 8pm. We were visiting family in Waterbeach & the location of the property was 5 minutes away. There is a lounge which is a conservatory. It has a ceiling fan, widescreen TV, coffee/tea pod machine, dinnerware (plates, utensils, wine glasses). Cooked breakfast is served once you sit down at your table in the breakfast room. You can make toast from several types of bread, croissant, tea, coffee, 3 types of juice, yoghurt, jams, Marmite along with several other items. The cooked breakfast arrived within 10 minutes freshly made & brought to our table. It was tasty & items were locally sourced rather than from a supermarket. Faye is a darling who treated us so well. She reflects the atmosphere of the property, comfy, immaculatestylish but comfy. Faye even went out her way to text us to confirm our choices for breakfast when we completely forgot. Will stay again for sure.

We had a lovely stay at the Old School Rooms. A really quaint building, located on the village green and only a 20 mins drive from Cambridge. The rooms are well-provided with lovely toiletries and home comforts and the breakfast is varied and delicious! The owners are really accommodating and friendly and I’d thoroughly recommend it for a place to stay.
