Good large room with a comfortable bed. The room wasn’t very clean. Dusty and dirty floors and bedsheets had remnants of previous guests. Went to use the roof top pool area and found out the sun loungers were 250USD each and no real seating for guests. Didn’t feel Particularly welcomed by staff and we received a note through our door early morning before check out welcoming the next guests and offering a welcome hamper. Not great considering that wasn’t something we received on arrival and we hadn’t even checked out yet!

The property is well located for access to 5th avenue and the beach. The suites are well appointed and feel luxurious, which is what I anticipated for a more upmarket stay. The rooftop was amazing with full horizon views of the sea and the city..Again a more upmarket environment. Tastefully laid out around a spa,a restaurant and the most incredible infinity pool.

The hotel is nice but there were negative and unpleasant drawbacks: - There is music until 12 am and you cannot sleep because it is heard in the rooms. If you want to rest, you won't be able to. We filed the complaint and no one attended to it. finally we couldn't sleep well One of the two elevators broke down and going up or down the floors became chaos. They only provide courtesy soap and water the first two nights. then they charge it or you must take it

Cons - super slow elevators and rooftop main pool never had open lounges. PROS - a block from 5th ave, less than 2 blocks from ADO station, one of the few hotels with decent size infinity pool and rooftop hot tub.

The hotel is dated. We have a leakage under the toilet. It was reported but never fixed. The room had a stained sofa. Not to mention the hotel was closed by the Mexican authorities. Signs of Clausurado were all over. Although the staff did their best under the circumstances. This is not a 4 start hotel

Roof top pool was beautiful! Our room was comfortable and cleaned daily. Our house keeper was helpful and friendly and did a wonderful job to our room. Having a coffee shop and pharmacy downstairs was convenient. Will come again

THIS HOTEL IS A SCAM!!!! Nothing like the pictures, rooms are dirty, overpriced food, the staff communication sucks, they tell you 5 different things, I stayed here with my family my husband and 2 boys, one 7 years old and the other 10 months old, I wanted breakfast and they tell us we have to get room service at 11am we waited from 9am-11 to order, when we called they said kitchen was closed and that they didn’t have breakfast because they were only serving lunch, by then my kids were starving and crying because they staff have no idea what they’re saying, that wasn’t our first complaint, that night when I arrived to the hotel the room they gave me was DIRTY! Bedsheet DIRTY! Bathroom dirty, mirrors dirty, the couch where my son was supposed to sleep on DIRTY, I wish I can upload the pictures to aware people of where they’re staying!! This place is not safe at all. I am very confused of how this hotel have 8.8 excellent reviews when it’s definitely trash!! I stayed one night and they penalized me because I did early checkout by charging me for 2 nights. They didn’t have any empathy and didn’t seem to care about me or my kids being uncomfortable didn’t offer to resolve the problem and also gave a hard time checking me out by saying I may have to pay for the whole week even if I leave early.. Eduardo at front desk, tried to say that my husband was lying about the what it looked like bedbug bites. This was all in just ONE NIGHT! Just imagine staying here for 5 nights. NIGHTMARE!

Room was decent. We had two of three nights with very loud people above us. Called front desk three times, and they were rude and said no one was making noise. The floors are all tile and there are tables and chairs being moved around from 8:00 pm to midnight, then at 5:30 am on. Staff refused to move us. Room was very humid and the sheets felt wet. We could not get the thermostat to work right. Won't be back.

The rooms are nice and moderns but if you happen to be on the 4th floor is too noisy all day and until 12pm as the roof top has aot of activities a restaurant a bar a swiming pool so a day ypu hear chairs neing pulled, steps people runnjng. The rooftop floor diesnt help its wood and it crunches and make a lot of noise. Also the cleaning there was some garbage on the elevator for 2 days so no one sweeps it daily.

This is not a 5-star or even a 4-star hotel—3 stars at best. Unfortunately, it’s the worst Hilton property I’ve ever stayed at. The staff is courteous and friendly, but ultimately ineffective. We stayed for three nights and were unable to rest during any of them. The location is excellent—close to beaches and shops—but that also means loud nightlife nearby, which isn’t the hotel’s fault. What is their responsibility, however, is the subpar air conditioning system and their complete unwillingness to address it. Upon arrival, we paid extra for a suite upgrade when I should have received a complimentary Honors Gold upgrade. From the start, our room was uncomfortably hot. Despite setting both thermostats to the lowest possible setting, the temperature never dropped below 22°C—while it was over 32°C outside. It appears the hotel limits AC performance, likely to cut energy costs. Cheap! Unlike a 5 or 4-star hotel would and should do. We complained four times. The first time, someone inspected the vents and said it should improve—nothing changed. The next three times, we received empty promises and no action. I understand preferring cooler temperatures may be subjective, but this wasn’t about comfort—it was about basic livability. I couldn’t sleep a single night. The sheets were soaked with sweat. Despite repeated complaints, nothing was done. This is a hotel-wide issue. Friends of ours in another room, who typically tolerate warm temperatures, found theirs unbearable.

Paid for a 2 queen room, but the room they gave us only had 1 kingsize bed and a pullout couch. The 2 queen bed was the specific reason I booked this hotel, just to be let down and told that the 2 queen be option wasn't available. Loud construction out front so it was hard to sleep in. The hotel is close to 5th ave, and a short walk to the beach.

The property did not have our room ready when we arrived. They said 1/2 hour, no problem. We went to the restaurant ate had drinks, 1/12 glhour later still no room. It took another 45 minutes to get the room, Then it was not the class of room we booked and paid for. It was supposed to be a superior room large 2 sink bathroom. When I went to the desk I was told we had 2 sinks lol, ahhh no they put us in the deluxe type and refused to admit it was not what we paid and the manager seriously was a jerk….

From check in to check out was a disaster. Firstly arrived at 1am and took over an hour to find my registration and check me in although i was the only person checking in. Secondly we were awaken at 8am by ridiculously loud noises only to be told it was from an adjacent building and they only recently informed and could do nothing. i decided to leave but was charged a 1 night penalty for cancelling my reservation. Can you believe this from HILTON? In fact the first night charges should have been waived.

Terrible experiencia, al llegar me dijeron que “no les había llegado la reserva” y que el hotel estaba lleno y que ud disculpe… Pero que me hacían el gran favor de prestarme las instalaciones como la alberca y las salas pero que tenía que buscar otro hotel… Después de alzarle un poco la voz (solo así me hicieron caso) al supuesto gerente EDUARDO (que se notaba que no lo era por inepto y grosero) me dejó ahí hablando solo como si fuera un loquito sin derecho a reclamar, luego contacté a Hoteles.com para reportar el caso y ahí sí me resolvieron super amables, un 10 para ellos. Cuando los sinvergüenzas del hotel vieron que se empezó a escalar el asunto ahí si me empezaron a ofrecer soluciones reales. Al final hoteles.com me consiguió hospedaje en el grand hyatt, que es el doble de caro, respetándome la tarifa, pero perdí más de 3 horas (ya no pude ir a la playa) y un tremendo coraje con la gente inepta del Fives, que ni un agua me ofrecieron en todo ese tiempo. Ojalá le que hoteles.com le cobre la diferencia de tarifa y los penalicen para que esto no le vuelva a pasar a nadie. Vergonzoso.

We stayed at the Fives Downtown last week and could not have been more pleased or treated better. From our beautiful and spacious two-bedroom suite to the stunning views from the rooftop infinity pool, to the warm service we received from the staff — we loved it all. As a family of five (husband and I and three kids) travelling to Mexico for the first time, we were anxious about whether or not the accommodations and location would suit our family, but they did. The hotel walkability is perfect walkable distance to many attractions and kid-friendly restaurants. Easy and walkable access to the ferry, the ADO Bus and taxis. Cleaning service for our rooms was superb, and Ernesto, the GM/director of operations made sure we had everything we needed, gave us recommendations on activities for the kids, and even helped us locate one of our kid’s missing backpacks that we accidentally left in a cab. He even gave our kiddos some food pellets to feed the turtles in the hotel lobby. Nice touch! We also want to thank Nicole, Adrian and Israel, who warmly greeted and waited on our family each morning for breakfast at the hotel restaurant (Mercatto). We honestly could not have asked for a better stay in Playa Del Carmen. Would highly recommend!!!

The location is the best. Less than 5 minutes walk to ADO station without taking the taxi and 1 block to 5th Ave. It's in the heart of Playa Del Carmen. No need to take a taxi anywhere.

The location of this property is great for shopping and nightlife. It’s close to the Cozumel ferry which is also a bonus. The whirlpool tub is a jetted tub on the deck, we were expecting a hot tub but ended up enjoying the jetted tub but it is small. Barely fits 2 people. The room was a good size but a little run down. Sliding pocket doors very hard to close, but has to be closed at night because of a lose window and whistling wind all night. Shower door leaks water all over the floor. The drinks are weak at the pool bar and the restaurant downstairs. The drinks are also $20-$22 USD so I’d expect to taste the booze. Food was bland at the pool bar and downstairs restaurant. Check in & out we’re good.

El hotel es de Hilton, ya eso lo hace estar bajo ciertos parámetros de mantener su calidad. En la quinta avenida. Taxis al lado. Los cuartos super cómodos, cama espectacular, baño hermoso y amplio. La atención del personal 10/10. Le rooftop bueno, si hace falta un poco de mantenimiento sobre el piso, pero eso no le quita merito a ser una muy buena opción para pasar el día y la noche.
