The Baywatch Resort

This was our 2nd stay at the Baywatch. We love that it is newer, the rooms are clean and nicely furnished, not carpeted. The balcony view of the East Bay is amazing. Very nice and well-equipped fitness center. The entire staff was very friendly and attentive. When we encountered a couple of glitches with our door lock and a broken fitness bike, both were repaired that day. We already look forward to our next stay!

Beach was always clean and nice. There was a younger kid that worked. There was passing out popsicles to the people on the beach, which is a nice touch . The elevator broke once but every time I road it to the 4th floor it would jump. It didn’t feel safe. Property would be better if they had real breakfast not processed foods in a bag. They really need a restaurant/bar and a pool as an option. The city got really busy compared to earlier years. They really need to invest in some lights/crosswalks.

The property is directly on the beach with lots of beach chairs & towels available. Parking is free & easy. Staff was wonderful. The balconies were great! I couldn’t have asked for more. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We really appreciated the ability to charge our EV. Finding a charging station is not as easy as finding a gas station, so this was very helpful. While the delivery of breakfast boxes was helpful, I missed the flexibility of the more typical breakfast bar, both as far as making food choices and pinpointing timing. The room was immaculate and spacious. I missed some area of rug space. We also noted what has become a trend, apparently, of duvets instead of blankets. Temperatures seemed about right to open windows, which we did, but the room stayed warm--too warm for a duvet, and not really comfortable for just a sheet. We object to being forced to turn on the A/C at what should be a comfortable temperature.

Clean beach hotel with a friendly staff. We were in a beach view King and it was wonderful. Our patio door unfortunately did not lock but we found a way to secure it. We met quite a few other couples around the fire pit and that was an unexpected plus. The hotel is quiet and close to eating places. We would definitely stay here again.

Pros: Very clean. Cons: * Not appropriate for those with chemical sensitivities - the room reeked of room deodorizer. * Breakfast was sub-par. A sterile, bland or unhealthy meal delivered to the door in an environmentally unfriendly way. (Jimmy Dean sausage and egg biscuit? Fruit Loops?) Plastic bags, unrecyclable packaging. And in a world of wonderful local produce, nothing in this boring package was local. A dried-out orange? When cherries and blueberries abound in this beautiful city? * "Coffee station" offered no milk or half and half. Just a big Folgers-making machine. Prepare for the line at that sole machine every morning. * Very inadequate fitness center. Too little equipment for too many people. Pelaton didn't work. * Overall, this is no resort. Aside from a cornhole game, a couple floaties for the lake, and beach chairs, it's a regular hotel offering less than a Holiday Inn Express. Staff didn't smile or offer greetings unless provoked, contributing to an overall sterile, antiseptic experience. The family of ducks on the patio offered more friendly warmth. * Advice - pay less somewhere else. But if you do stay here, be sure to get a room on the water side. Otherwise you just look out onto a parking lot and hear the traffic and early-morning delivery trucks, which you can do at any other place on the strip - for a lot less money and probably a hot breakfast.

No maid service Was odd. Breakfast hung on the door was very different. Room was nice. Thought there was a pool which would have been nice. Good location.

Wonderful balcony view of the beach and water! That made the room great and worth the stay in this newer property. However, it's not a resort, it's basically a hotel. No restaurant nor lounge to get a refreshment without driving somewhere. Breakfast box delivered to the room was a nice touch, but the choice was limited.

Way too expensive for only getting a frozen boxed breakfast with old rotten fruit and some watery boxed juice they try to pass off as orange juice! Check in after 4pm and out by 11 is ridiculous also. I’m on vacation for such a short stay. Should be 3pm check in and noon out for $500 a night. The view from my room was beautiful, but not worth what we paid. Bathroom floor was filthy. Had lots of bugs and ants in there and the shower. Toilet seat broken. Disappointed to say the least.

Everything was very nice during my stay. I did notice some sand present on the floor of my room which I had to keep in mind when getting into bed. The only recommendation is the sliding screen door sticks and could be tricky to close. Otherwise the property was great, the staff was wonderful and I had a great stay.

The room was spotless and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The tub is great during the winter months and the beds are SO comfortable!

Property was very clean. Front desk checked in with us several time via texting to see how our stay was. Very nice. Would definitely stay here again.

The property was like brand new condition, everything was super clean and up to date. Our room was very clean, and all bedding was super clean. The beach on the property had chairs for all guests. Beach towels were put out by staff on the chairs each morning. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

The hotel and room was very clean.

The room wasn’t properly cleaned when we checked in, the next morning was an early wake up call by a baby’s nonstop cries and screams. There was sand all over the floor and even on the bed.. the sand was everywhere.

Spotless room.

I don’t think we’ll return. The dirty sock in the dust pile in the closet wasn’t terrible, but the stains all over the bed sheets were disgusting. I will give credit to new sheets that were brought within the hour after calling however, changing hotel bed sheets usually isn’t something we’re coming to do. Kind of a strange vibe. Hotel was updated. Beach was great.

Our room had a balcony view of East Traverse Bay which was wonderful to wake up to. Room was spacious, modern and comfortable. You are given a slip for breakfast choices which are packed in boxes and left in bag on your door. There were a variety of breakfast choices. No hot choices but 24 hour coffee or hot cocoa available off of lobby. Hotel staff communicated via texts to ask if there was anything we needed and gave us a wonderful reccommendation for steak restaurant. Will definitely return!

The location is perfect. The room was nice but small, with little seating options. Otherwise, a very nice, clean place to stay.

There is no carpet on the floors, making it very noisy, especially from the room above. Breakfast is delivered to your room in a box. It's cold (needs to be microwaved) and not that good! I'd rather go to a restaurant!

Nice room. Was small and quaint but plenty of room for 1 night. The heater being right under the window curtains was not good. Kept blowing air up behind the curtains so our room was freezing. Wasn’t till we opened the curtains in the morning till our room finally warmed up.

Check-in was quick and efficient with friendly staff greeting upon arrival. The room was clean, bed comfortable and shower and amenities nice. The balcony with the view was great. They provide you with a breakfast/snack box daily which is very basic, think oatmeal, an orange and a drink box. I love that there was a microwave and refrigerator in the room as well.The only downside is the sound proof/insulation. I was up at night listening to a neighboring room guest snore, and being on the 3rd floor, there was a lot of noise above our room. Overall pleased with the hotel.

View was great. A/C wasn’t working properly. Turned the temp down as low as it would go but it didn’t work. Everything felt wet from humidity. Absolutely miserable night, no sleep for us.

Well laid out with lovely balcony and lake view. Very accommodating.

Michael and his staff were most excellent, the view was great, most comfortable bed ever. if I could give the place 10 stars, I would highly recommend anyone stay here.

Loud banging pipes.staff not helpful. Keys stopped working at 9am on checkout day. Tried to provide feedback never received return call.

Wonderful staff- I have Celiacs and front desk did some research and printed out a list of restaurants that had gluten free options. Staff always goes the extra mile at BayWatch

One of the front desk staff was rude but otherwise a nice and clean hotel room. They offer complimentary breakfast to your room which was a frozen Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich and an orange, which is not what we expected.

The check-in staff member, Michael, was excellent: efficient, welcoming and kind. Our room was lovely, clean and pleasant. We had a water view of Grand Traverse Bay which added to our pleasure. We’ll plan to stay there again in the future.

The staff was amazing! Anything we asked for: coffee, towels, coffee maker, etc... we received immediately. Baywatch was on the beach and every room faced the beach. The facility was clean. The only thing that was slightly negative, no onsite eating options. There was 1 vending machine that had snacks and drinks and 24hr coffee options.

Employees all in and ready to assist for a good stay. Balcony on the lakeside was absolutely wonderful. We will definitely plan another stay here.

I accidentally left a small backpack in my room and the staff bent over backwards to contact me to arrange for me to pick it up.

Walking along the beach was a great way to start and end the day. Lovely view of the bay!

Clean room, staff was always friendly and greeted you when on site. Location right on the bay with incredible views of sunrise and sunsets.

I always use this hotel for the airport proximity. Excellent for this.

Great location on the water with a nice clean beach. Close to Acme and downtown TC. One has to drive for shopping and most restsurants or taverns.

I thought the road was too busy. Not much to walk to. For what you charge for the room. Breakfast was horrible. By far the worse I had at a hotel. There was a light bulb missing in the bathroom. Towels were rough. Room was clean. Loved the balcony.

The view from our balcony was breathtaking! Sunrise was spectacular. Breakfast was fine, they gave us the option to have it delivered right to the door, but it was nothing special, just a store bought muffin and boxed juice. It could have been really cool had it been “customized”. Also the walls are thin. We heard our neighbor’s nighttime activity all night long. He had a wonderful time! The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. View was great, location convenient.

I never complain about hotel breakfast but I don't understand why offer one if it is not any good. Stayed 4 nights and they don't have anyone freshen your room until after the third night. That means you have to call down for more towels, coffee k-cups and garbage pick up. I did have a problem with where to put the garbage and the customer service was no help( on that shift). I Was taking a shower and the Shampoo was empty so I had my husband run downstairs to get some while I was in the shower major inconvenience. The room has a heavy air freshener which we tried to find where it was coming from but could not so we left the glass door open so we did not have to breathe in the heavy scent. Positive side the beds/pillows comfy and view was nice

The breakfast service was great! Loved that it was delivered directly to our room at the time we requested. Unique way of providing it.

I really like this hotel and its beaches. Just wish breakfast could be a bit more upscale. Rest is excellent

The light breakfast delivered to your room in a box, consisted of a frozen breakfast sandwich, juice box, orange. Very misleading. We were there two nights, and the room was not serviced, including the towels not replaced, garbage not emptied. I inquired about it at checkout, was told the staff does not enter the room if no one answers the door? Isn’t that when they clean, when guests aren’t present?

I was unimpressed by the continental breakfast. It was delivered to the room which was nice, but it was not fresh and was all pre-packaged. Also, the room coffee was not good. But otherwise, a wonderful place to stay on the beach! The views and the sun, sand and water were gorgeous!

Breakfast boxes being delivered to your room at the time of your choosing was a nice touch.
