Helpful staff, mediocre parking available.

Parking was an issue. Otherwise this property was excellent.

Comfortable family room for 3. All set up on arrival. Car park on site convenient. Near to restaurant and shops and 20 minutes to the castle.

Spotless room as usual. My husband left the car window open in carpark and the hotel phoned us to let us know. The carpark needs signage

Limited parking and expensive (but safe). Few issues with check in (confusion) then a few items missing from our room but did get sorted. Breakfast is very good. On a good transport link by bus to and from the city.

The room was a bit small but comfortable and the bathroom was god and clean. Beds were firm the pillows could be better but nothing is perfect. Great breakfast and great Lebanese Restaurant.

Was in 204 upstairs From the fitness suit when they used heavy. Weights you heard the noise when dropping them

Lovely hotel! Clean, quiet, big room, nice breakfast and lovely lebanese restaurant inside the hotel for dinner (Sofia’s Lebanese)! Location is perfect, walkable distance to the wonderful old and new town of this amazing city!

The bathroom had a terrible smell of sewers . Buffet breakfast wasn’t great awful scrambled eggs and more than once they ran out of croissants . Don’t think I’d stay here again for the price I paid

Got given disabled access room initially though paid for queen room - then got changed to a double room - NOTHING queen about it. Dirty walls, unclean bedding, pulled up carpet, condensed/ water filled windows and window ledges.

The hotel was a wonderful place to stay. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help with a smile. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of fresh options. Overall, a clean, welcoming hotel that made my stay truly enjoyable.

Bad smell (drains) in the bathroom

We stayed for 3 nights and were very happy with it. The staff was very friendly and helpful, it is located within easy walking distance to a lot of attractions, the breakfast was great, and the Lebanese restaurant in the lobby was very good! The only negative was a musty odor, very much like a water leak occurred recently in the room - but it was very clean

Great Hotel, I like the Hampton brand of the hilton chain. Central location to activities in Edinburgh and commuting was easy. Clean hotel, great breakfast to start the day, and the staff were very obliging on any requests

Lovely hotel in general and good breakfast put on each morning of our stay. However, the mattress was extremely hard and we woke up feeling quite sore. Most rooms are also separated with an adjoined door which is locked and Safe. We could hear the people next door cough and move around so if you were next door to anyone more noisey or people with children you would hear pretty much everything as it is only two doors separating the rooms. The bus stop was right outside and was Great to get around the city on bus 34 and 35. It was also 10 minutes walk to train and bus station to get back to the airport. Good overall but wouldn't stay again because of the mattress as we did not get restful sleep the whole weekend.

The property was walking distance to a lot of attractions which was great. Staff was helpful and kind. Though parking was limited we were able to get a spot which was great. The room was a little run down. The bed was rock hard and you could feel the springs in the mattress. There was no mini fridge and the carpet was buckling and very stained. For over 300 dollars a night it was disappointing.

Room was too warm, toilet has no exhaust fun, airconditioning seems to be set on limited time, but didnt bother to inform services, 2 of us didn’t sleep well, pillows gets too flat

Nice size of the room. But AC not working (too hot room). sliding bathroom door not working well (difficult to open and close). Very ro difficult to set the temp of the water. Or too cold or too hot. Good breakfast with many options.

The room was comfortable and very clean. The one thing I didn't like about the room was the sliding door which is shared between the wardrobe and the bathroom. It kept opening whilst someone was in the bathroom! not good! a magnetic lock or a lock that worked to ensure the door stayed in place would have been good.

Property is on the west end of town so it’s easy to navigate from since all major sights and town centre are west of the hotel. Room was nice with all expected amenities however the beds were a bit firm. Breakfast was very very good with decent variety. There are some nice coffee shops and some different fun things nearby as well. Overall the hotel was solid, but it felt expensive for what you get.

We enjoyed our 3-night stay at Hampton by Hilton Edinburgh West End. The staff was helpful, it was an easy 15-20 minute walk to the Castle, and it had a great selection of breakfast foods. I didn’t like the lukewarm water in the shower; after a long day of exploring I want a hot shower. I also didn’t like the height and depth of the sink. I had a hard time brushing my teeth and washing my face. Parking is available at a public parking garage two blocks away but it’s affordable. We were able to park in front of the hotel to load and unload suitcases, which was convenient, compared to the tourists we saw dragging their bags through the cobblestone streets of the city trying to get to transportation.

Really need a fridge in the room

Rooms were adequate for 1 night. Booked a family room which was a standard room with a camp bed put in the only available space. No room for cases or much clothes storage. Water is not provided in rooms which is poor, especially given the exorbitantly high price we paid for the standard of hotel. Supply and demand as Edinburgh was super busy and hotels really bump up their prices accordingly. Beds and pillows were comfortable and room was clean. Food wise, only had breakfast. The hotel was very busy and the breakfasting area is not big enough and badly laid out. Had to eat off a coffee table in the bar / reception area.

Excellent staff, breakfast is slightly limited on options (eg no poached eggs or mushrooms) but still plently of choice and hot food replenished well. Absolute gem of an attached Nepalese restaurant, well worth a try. Quiet corriders and good showers. Very pleasant stay.

I asked through Hilton Honours app (chat inquiry) if I can book the car parking at the hotel, and was instructed to ask at the reception. Hence we asked at the reception while parking at the entrance as guided by the chat, but the lady at the reception treated us as if we did something wrong and was very rude. Before saying hi or even hearing what we were trying to do (to understand if the parking at the hotel is available), she stopped us talking and immediately asked us to present ID. Her facial expression and voice tone were quite aggressive. We were surprised by the hostility and it was a very rude way to treat customer. She even lied the parking at the hotel is 60 pounds / night - we were surprised and repeatedly confirmed if it’s not 16, but she insisted it is 60. Therefore we parked at another parking nearby. When we returned to the reception, another person was there and he told us it is 16 per night. Overall the lady at the reception gave us very bad and disappointing experience. We have stayed at Hilton group hotels many times but it was the worst experience. I usually don’t complain about customer service but I had to write negative review because it was too bad. I don’t know her name but she was wearing scarf covering almost half of her face and should have been in the shift around 5pm on July 30th (Tue).

We had an amazing stay! Lovely and helpful staff. I am very thankful! I planned a surprise for my partner as it was his birthday, soni asked if they can do it for me, they said they don’t do that but they will note of it but the staff did an extra mile and also gave us free drinks! It was simple but very special, he was surprised! ❤️ thank you so much. We will surely recommend and come back again.

Apart from a ridiculous half hour wait to check in, it is a clean and tidy hotel. Very convenient for Haymarket station, with great walks into Edinburgh centre seeing the sights as you go. A bonus to have breakfast included too.

The staff were lovely and helpful. Our daughter was ill and they gave us help, and advice. We ended up taking her to Children’s A&E, and they gave us a late check in, no questions asked. So helpful! Thank you

The staff when we first arrived was very abrupt, i paid for parking at the hotel which i had not been informed about, i was given no option other than to pay by card. They were not polite about this at all. I did not use the restaurant or bar because of this reason, breakfast was ok. Staff should be trained on how they communicate to guests arriving.

Clean hotel in good location to see the must do sights

Hotel is located away from the busy Edinburgh centre, there is a good bus service and is very walkable for all attractions. Reception was friendly and efficient. The room is a good size, comfortable bed and well appointed bathroom. Breakfast was tasty, some hot items and the usual cold cuts and cereal.

Very nice hotel in Edinburgh, 20 minutes away to historic Edinburgh or a few minutes in bus (stop in front of hotel, number 1 or 34), room nice, clean, wc comfortable. Bed top. Room Without noise! . Very good Breakfast. Check-in / out quickly. A very good option for visiting Edinburgh.

Lovely stay at this hotel. Friendly and accommodating staff and clean, comfy rooms. Couldn't open windows even just a very tiny amount which made the rooms absolutely boiling on a night even with the aircon but generally good rooms. Good breakfast included with all options that youd need - the only downside to breakfast times was listening to the (presumably team leader) lady speak terribly to her brilliant staff every morning and being generally unpleasant to them. Hotel was in a good location, a short walk from attractions and the town centre, as well as many independent cafes and coffee shops.

Breakfast very busy with big coach parties. Nice rooms

Breakfast wasn't good. The bacon was overcooked, the sausage was mediocre, the only eggs were scrambled, and usually cold. You need to expand your choice eggs, get a better tasting sausage, and don't let the bacon dry out and go hard. House keeping needs to be done every day. We were pleased at the cleanliness of the hotel and especially the rooms and corridors. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful.

Clean and comfortable within easy walking distance of the old town and town centre. The little Lebanese restaurant on the ground floor is amazing!

Hotel worked very well as a base to explore Edinburgh, great restaurant integrated on the ground floor, breakfast buffets were great. Staff were very helpful.

Great continental breakfast!

Everything fine. Only reservation the breakfast. On first morning bacon too well done. On the second morning no bread at all.

We had an absolutely amazing time! The hotel isn’t super fancy, but very clean and modern, exactly what my best friend and I wanted for this trip. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean and the single beds in the twin rooms are nice and wide (although a touch too firm for a scandinavian girl like me). The breakfast is decent and has everything you need to get the day started (and a waffle maker!) We had breakfast at around 7.30 every day. It was’nt busy at all, but it started to fill up at around 8AM. The Mad Hatter is a pub that’s around a 10 minute walk away, it has a really good burger with the same name! If you bring comfortable shoes you can easily walk everywhere you need to go. We walked everywhere without any problems, but there are public transportation options nearby. The walk into the old town is nice and takes 15-20 minutes. Safe to say we got our steps in walking around this beautiful city! All in all a nice hotel that I would love to come back to. You get exactly what you need and expect, we were very happy!

We have been coming to this hotel for a few years that itself speaks volumes! The hotel is a short walk into town which we love. The welcome you receive as soon as you walk in from all the helpful staff & always smiling. The hotel is immaculate everywhere…the breakfast is hot & plentiful & is always replenished to suit every diet/taste. The room is a good size with a powerful shower & a comfortable bed. We always have a lovely time here & already booked our next stay here
