We ended up only staying one night as we did not like the area. The back of the property seemed like weekly rentals. The yards needed lots of attention not to mention mowing and weed killing and bushes pruning. We could only find a manager three hotels away that directed us to the unmarked building. The flooring in the kitchenette was poorly laid and splitting at the seams. The only good thing was the bed and bathroom felt clean enough for the night.

Great stay! Wonderful staff! So convenient! Friendly, welcoming and great rooms. Even a couple of apartment/studio style rooms. Awesome courtyard with firepits! Safe area away from road if children are along which is a big plus for us! Check in has been made SUPER easy! We stayed last year, too & hope to be back next year! Roadside motel in much need of a major renovation. Grounds were overgrown and lacking landscaping of any kind. Our door had a gap of an inch above the threshold, not sure how energy efficient that could be. Very outdated structure. It was CLEAN though and everything workedas it should.

Bed was comfortable, code door lock and check in was easy and parking was good. Safety was a big concern. Steps to second level are unsafe, there was person spending the night in her car in the parking lot and there were dirty towels left from a prior guest on the bathroom door. Grounds were over grown and outside was a mess. I had no idea how to reach management for concerns and to report the person using the parking lot. I think the price was high for the property condition and the worn interior.

The outside of the buildings were dirty and are starting to look rundown. There were what look longterm tenants smoking what smelled like pot outside the door to our room. Once inside our room we found trash (celophane wrappers) behind the toilet and in the room in seversl spots. There was toothpaste dripping down the front of the sink. The toilet was stained. We should have changed rooms but after seeing the condition of the property we decided to keep the room where we knew the bed was clean. The shower was great though.

Grass needed mowing weeds pulled. Poor room labeling for annex building. Had to go three motels down to find manager to direct us to annex building. The room was fairly clean. Kitchen flooring needed repairs.

Where to start? Very dated property- looks like 60 yrs old and shows it. No human staff on site detected. No alarm clock, tub faucet dripped the whole time of stay. No spare pillows nor blankets. Smell of pot and cigarette prévenant in the air- may have been from neighbor. Broken and missing floor tiles in bathroom. Hair dryer did not work-the receptacle in bathroom also did not work. Were assigned 2nd level room but stairs were rotting and rusting. Barely safe I M O. Only communication was by text and email. Sent text with complaints at 6pm. Got reply at 4am the next morning. Will never go back. Do not recommend.

This hotel is past it's prime as the rooms are quite run down, especially the carpet which was disgusting. The only real positives of the hotel was easy check in and the beds were at least clean. Also didn't feel particularly safe there, especially at night.

Unfortunately when I opened the door to the room it smelled strongly of urine and dog..the carpeting is covered in stains and dark spots. The beds seemed clean, but the smell made it hard to even sleep. Not at all worth the $90+ I spent for the night.

Unit #112: The shower, sink, mirror & toilet were spotless. The ice machine worked perfectly. There were many stains on the carpet. The air conditioner was full of dust. One bottom sheet had what appeared to be blood on it. The telephone had no connection cord. The keypad for entry and exit worked perfectly .

The carpet was filthy. I wore my shoes in the room because i didnt want to touch the carpet. No toilet seat top. Confusing old controls in the shower. No lighting in the closet area. Filty drapes. Filthy upholstery on both chairs.

Water flies were coming out of the drain of my sink and the overflow hole. To the point where I had to stuff the drain with toilet paper so flies weren’t coming into my room. It smell like complete smoke even though it’s supposed to be non-smoking it was so beyond dirty, I didn’t even use the shower there.

Spacious room! Seems like it was converted from an apartment unit -- so less uniform, but cozy and comfortable with big beds and tons of seating. Check-in was easy (via keypad) and the hotel sent many messages prior with check-in instructions & local info, which was a nice touch. The rooms were quiet -- we slept so well, we overslept! The actual communication though was a bit clunky and can use some refining -- some of the messages & texts seem to not go through, and their office seems to be renovating? It was not easy to reach someone, especially in the chaos of traveling. However, when I did speak to a service rep (at their sister hotel), they were absolutely lovely and efficient. A pleasant and unique stay!

Odd smell in the unit and overall it was all very dated. Beds were hard as rocks and extremely uncomfortable. Carpet was old and stained. Refridgerator and micro had to be from the 80's. Only one of the two light bulbs in bathroom worked and the shower head was so low i had to tilt it all the way up and we arent very tall ourselves. Also it appeared there are a few permanent residents who made the area look pretty trashy. Definitely will not return.

Very nice place. On the older side. Convenient access to Highway. Floors are showing age. Have a desk but no desk chair. Keypad entry with easy to remember instructions and access was great. Something I had never experienced before. For a one night stay it was perfect for me.

Stayed here to catch early flight at nearby airport. Hotel was advertised as having free wifi which I needed for trip planning. Wifi did not work. Staff unavailable and unable to help. Other than that, place was easy to find and good enough for my purpose. Great price.

My husband said room smelled of animals and the carpet was very stained but dry. The access code worked well but we didn’t have toilet paper and shower supplies so we had to access the storage room and get our own. Other than that the room was by far the largest I have ever seen and set up very well! It had 2 queen beds, sofa sleeper and 2 recliners

Door code didn't work. Texting the help # took forever and wasn't helpful. Finally got ahold of a person and they sent over someone with a real key to get in. She was incredibly nice and helpful. Wasn't told breakfast was next door at cedar. Room was ok ish. Only sheet and thin blanket on bed, glad i had an emergency blanket in my car or i would've had to figure out the ancient scary looking heater.

Did not receive a email or text with QR code after one hour of trying to get hold of someone in management by phone, with no luck, I had to go to another hotel for the night. I then had to phone Expedia and told them my problem. They too could not get hold of management - so I was reimbursed. You would think there would be a person during normal hours available to assist with check in.

Easy to check in and out ! Keypad for each room you enter a 4 Digit code to get in . Property management manages the property remotely but they really doing great job communicating and making sure their guests are happy and comfortable . They communicate through text messages , the response time if you text them is less than 5 minutes . This place is great for hikers who want to get out hiking then come back for hot and nice shower , it’s close to a lot of hiking trails and amazing falls in the area .

Earlier in the day I received an email with our room number and code. Later when we were on the road, there was another email with a room number change. Since we were driving through the states, I had my phone on airplane mode. We arrived at the inn and went to drop my for our bags to our original room number. The code did not work so we had to go to a restaurant with wifi. when I was able to connect to wifi, I noticed that they sent me another email with a room number change. It was a bit frustrating and inconvenient to have the room number change later in the day. The room itself was clean but a bit outdated. The beds we’re comfortable. For the price .. it was good for a one night stay.

No staff on site. Electronic locks not operating properly and only option for contact was texting. After three attempts while standing outside, I contacted Expedia who in turn had a number to reach someone. They had to reset the locks. Thanks Expedia! Property texted stating we were to take out any trash when we leave. Blow dryer didn't work, no response to that text either. Awful experience

This was my second time staying at this property. It is now "unmanned" and communication is done via text. We had an issue with the entry code and it was resolved quickly via text messaging. The property is what you would call "retro" and the decor is straight out of 1989. But, it is clean and pricing is reasonable for Marquette, even during NMU move-in weekends, when other hotels crank up the rates. Don't be expecting a modern hotel with a lot of amenities, but you can expect a good night's sleep and a nice, hot shower.

Where to start? Very dated property- looks like 60 yrs old and shows it. No human staff on site detected. No alarm clock, tub faucet dripped the whole time of stay. No spare pillows nor blankets. Smell of pot and cigarette prévenant in the air- may have been from neighbor. Broken and missing floor tiles in bathroom. Hair dryer did not work-the receptacle in bathroom also did not work. Were assigned 2nd level room but stairs were rotting and rusting. Barely safe I M O. Only communication was by text and email. Sent text with complaints at 6pm. Got reply at 4am the next morning. Will never go back. Do not recommend.

We arrived soon after 3 p.m. We noticed only one towel and face cloth. I texted as directed. Received text saying cleaners had gone home at 2:30, would deliver the next day at 10:30. I asked again, with no reply, offered to go to office. Still no reply, so walked to office-but there wasn't one! Finally, someone delivered linens. In the morning, found one cup and condiments for only one cup of coffee. Based on this, along with lack of things to do, we notified management that we wouldn't be staying the second night as planned. We were told there is a 24 hour cancellation policy and we would be charged anyway. They also request that you move your trash outside the door before you leave.

When we pulled up to our room there was a guest working on his car in front of our room with fluid spilled on the ground. Guests next door were right outside of room smoking heavily. Manager was responsive to communications. Access to motel was quite inconvenient - needed to drive at least a quarter mile to be able to make a u turn on a busy highway.

This small hotel had some nice features to offer. Being able to check in late at night without worrying about staff being onsite was nice, no keys to lose or demagnetize, and solid instructions on checking out. The room was neat and clean and for the low price I was impressed with the quality of the rooms. A few good restaurants are within walking distance, but if you drive around you’re in a central location to go anywhere in town from here within minutes.

Very nice place. On the older side. Convenient access to Highway. Floors are showing age. Have a desk but no desk chair. Keypad entry with easy to remember instructions and access was great. Something I had never experienced before. For a one night stay it was perfect for me.

Door code didn't work. Texting the help # took forever and wasn't helpful. Finally got ahold of a person and they sent over someone with a real key to get in. She was incredibly nice and helpful. Wasn't told breakfast was next door at cedar. Room was ok ish. Only sheet and thin blanket on bed, glad i had an emergency blanket in my car or i would've had to figure out the ancient scary looking heater.

No breakfast, when they said the had it.Whatever they have on the floor to the rooms on the second floor is stained and ugly.They don't clean the rooms, but they will clean the room if you only stay one night. They will take your garbage if you set outside your room. The stairs to the second floor are BAD,I was scared to walk on them plus they had garbage under the stairs. The carpet in the room had many bad stains. I think they need to work on the bathtub. No alarm radio in the room, and very few lamps.The door to the rooms were dirty. If you wanted to talk to anyone you had to text them we don't do that.The pictures they have on the web look good, but not so when you get there. It makes me SAD that I paid $482.26 for 4 nights in that place.

Shower was smaller than tiny shower at the cabin we just left. Noise from walls on shower next door was irritating. Sounded like a herd of elephants were in the room above us. The motel was not busy. If you know you don't have good soundproofing and it's not busy, you should space out the tenants.

It was different. There was no office on the Brentwood property. Checkin went well. We were texted a door code. Another guest told us the office was at the property,of a different name, next door. The staff didn’t inform us of a provided breakfast the the other guest did. The room was very clean and fairly well maintained thought some of the furniture was getting quite worn. At the breakfast the next morning there was dry cereal, and toast, no milk or juice and staff didn’t provide anymore when asked.
