We had a great two night stay. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Very clean and comfortable. Huge walk in shower. Walkable to dining and River walk. The only thing I would change is that we had to pay for self parking and had to cross the street to get to the hotel. They do offer valet parking for an additional fee.

We have stayed here before and it is lovely. Ate at the Rooftop restaurant the night we arrived as well as for breakfast the next morning. The food was very good and wine as well. Pricey but nice and the views are amazing. Not so much the view from our room - neighboring brick wall. No view at all. Expensive room for no view.

Upon arrival valet very friendly as were front desk. However the trash can in the room had not been emptied and the tv did not work. We were told to unplug it and it would restart. Contacted the front desk to ask for it to be fixed and 2 hours later after returning from dinner it was not. The plug in the bath tub, that you pay extra for in a room with a bath tub, was broken. It took an hour to get the tv issue solved, the trash emptied and the tub repaired. It was well into the evening at this point. After a long day of travel this was a bit irritating. It was nasty to find someone else’s dirty tissues, used water bottles and other sanitary matter in the room. No compensation was taken off the room rate for the inconvenience.

Staff was absolutely amazing and the location was as well. Outside of that, everything else was a disappointment as it was average to below. (In all fairness we only stayed one night and did not try the restaurants or other amenities). As soon as we stepped off of the elevator after check-in there was noticeable debris on the carpet up and down the hallway. It was not long after housekeeping had left for the day so very hard to believe it had gotten so dirty that fast. When we entered the room, it was very spacious and definitely cleaner but still some noticeable things missed with the vacuum. The cabinet that contained the refrigerator, had obvious signs of water rot on the lower left hand corner and when I noticed it I opened the door to find the door to the refrigerator open which I found odd. Realized the next morning why they left it open: because when it is closed water pools inside of it somehow and leaks out which is probably why the cabinet is rotted. So obviously someone knows the problem exists, why not fix it. If you want to pay a lot of money for exceptional customer service and an average room, this is your place. I have spent the same money and gotten both at other hotels however.

This was one of if not the cleanest and most beautiful rooms I have ever stayed in. Downtown historic Lynchburg and The Virginian is amazingly beautiful! The staff consistently provides answers to all questions, the valet service was impeccable and every person we can into contact with was extreme kind and courteous!

The Virginian is an amazing hotel in the wonderful city of Lynchburg, VA. We stayed in a king suite and it was so large, quiet and comfortable. The bed was very nice and the big tiled bathroom was well lit and provided both a soaking tub and shower. The Skyline Grill has delicious food and a wonderful, rooftop view of the city. The entire staff cater to your every need. All around a Grade A+.

3 out of 5 stars. The beds were comfortable and the linen was plush! However, the room was very dark and had limited natural light. The light switch for the bathroom panel was cracked and missing a piece. The toilet paper holder was not securely attached to the wall and would fall over dumping the paper on the floor. attention to detail was lacking.

Erin and Bailey went out of their way to help us after an auto accident left us stranded 30 minutes away. Valet Bailey drove 35 minutes to get us at 10:30 at night to get us to the hotel after we were stranded with no U er or Lyft anywhere.

Was going to park on street, was told that we could use the hotel parking lot for free for one night. Next day a charge was on my c/c. Told by front desk there is a charge, then taxes etc and that Expedia also got a cut. Told that we were told free and she said all check in people know there is a charge. Would not remove.

We had dinner at William & Henry, caught John Crist (Jokes for Humans) at The Academy of Fine Arts, then had after show drinks on the rooftop! It was all amazing… Truly feeling like royalty! 👑 From the moment we pulled up on- The entire experience was top notch! The Valet staff were super friendly, so was the front desk. At William & Henry l, the drinks, the service, and the food… From rolls to the refreshing lemon basil ranch vinaigrette on the leafy greens & house made croutons, the perfect crunch… To the filet that was perfectly cooked & accompanied by the best Bearnaise sauce we’ve ever had… followed by Key Lime Pie… which the perfect tarte but creamy balance. My best friend got the Chocolate Coconut Cake—- and it was decadent. It just kept getting better at William & Henry Steakhouse!!! After the comedy show we had reservations at Skyline, the rooftop restaurant & bar. It was equally amazing & the view was spectacular! As for the hotel itself, The Virginian did not disappoint! We did not want to leave. The entire building was beautifully decorated, well-kept, and not only was it aesthetically pleasing, but we truly felt safe. To top it all off, we slept so soundly! Those Kingsdowne mattresses are A-maazzzing! If you haven’t been, you should definitely book your stay! You won’t regret it.

What a great stay I had with my daughter at the Virginian! The staff is so friendly and helpful. You feel welcome the second you pull up to the building greeted by their wonderful staff! I will definitely be returning soon!

I have stayed here several times recently while my father was in the hospital, 5 minutes away. Everyone is so friendly and made me feel so comfortable. The rooms are always so welcoming and comfortable. The valet is fast. My first choice in Lynchburg!

Friendly staff, great service and amenities! We arrived early and were able to drop our bags in their check room, and get parking arranged before our room was ready. We called and they let us m own they could check us in when the room was cleaned, so we returned and all went smoothly. Beautiful room, and so convenient to have the rooftop restaurant and breakfast/brunch in the lobby. The little store directly across the street was great, and the valets always friendly. They brought a luggage cart up to us for check out. The security was excellent, using our room key for the levator made us feel safe. We were able to walk the entire downtown, check out the shops and restaurants and still be close to hotel for a break. Highly recommend!

The Curio is a fabulous facility. From the valet upon arriving to every person that worked there was great. They definitely have a southern charm and warmth to them and the facility is beautiful. Everything is meticulously decorated, clean and maintained. Our room was very spacious and finely appointed with one of the nicest shower and separate soaking tub that we have encountered. I'm not a Starbucks fan, wife is, but they had an omelette station and the best breakfast biscuit I have had, delicious. Also, the restaurant on the top of the building, that has great views, had fabulous food. I don't get burgers very often but it was delicious and my wife's Ahi tuna was extremely well prepared and spiced. I couldn't recommend this facility any higher, it was a great experience. Will absolutely return.

This is a 5 star property with a 4 star rating only because the restaurant wouldn’t serve us after being told by front desk that they would. Petty to ding, but reflects how the restaurant host treated us. Otherwise, awesome property: spacious, luxurious rooms. Great night’s sleep.
