Log Cabin in the Field

We went for our 19 year wedding anniversary. We just wanted somewhere new to go to together. Although the hot tub was not working, we had a blast… Perfect location, super clean and very comfortable! We plan to visit again!! Ric was great, communication was excellent and we were able to check in early as well

I liked the room ok, there however is little privacy for couples (bathroom and bed are the same room). Hot tub was great, landscape was pretty. The owner was quick to respond (we were a same day booker), and was easy to work with and accommodating, linens and towels smelled great and super soft. Would likely stay again if we road trip through that area again.

This was a nie rustic place. No frills but offers for extra a fire pit use and can bring your pet. I enjoyed this place

The cabin offered a very cozy stay! The room and bathroom were very clean! It’s a nice quiet stay! They have a pool which we didn’t have time to enjoy but we did get to enjoy the fire pit and met the ground’s mascot: Mr. Morky (the orange cat). He was very sweet and welcome lots of attention and pets! The owner of the cabin was very nice and checked in on us to ensure we were enjoying our stay! We would definitely recommend this for anyone who is looking for a nice quiet stay with all the cleanliness of a hotel but the remote feeling of staying in a cabin in the mountain!

We really enjoyed our stay and the use of the pool. The host is very accommodating and generous. We appreciated having a clean, quiet, local spot to return to while in the middle of a move. Thank you!

I loved this place. It was totally wild. Be prepared that each of the amenities cost extra (hot tub, pool, fire pit) but for the nightly cost, it’s still a deal.

This was a wonderful property with plenty of room, good wifi, and a comfortable bed. its really just a hotel room, but the owner has provided great furnishings like nice towels, plenty of plugs, a micro and refrig, an assigned parking place, and provided good communication. We stayed in the "A" room. We would highly recommend this property.

Honestly this place far exceeded my expectations. I stayed in the A cabin. It was awesome! Bathroom was very large. Lots of amenities. Great water pressure for the shower. Lots of towels available. Mini fridge had free water bottles. Bed was super comfy. Area was quiet. Walkable to a gas station for snacks. Outdoor area was very spacious. It was 88 degrees so I did not go out much. The room AC was fantastic and it also had a small fan which wasn’t needed. TV had a lot of channels. Excellent communication on check in and out process. Check out was at noon which was nice and allowed me to sleep in. Great little getaway with great prices. Would recommend!

A quaint small room stay at the most affordable price in Huntington. The host (Ric) was super friendly and communicative on parking, entry, and what's nearby. He was even generous enough to offer us a ride into town to watch the football game when it was mentioned that we had planned on calling an Uber. Bed was comfortable, bedroom and bathroom was clean and spacious. The only criticism I can offer is that the room did not have a thermostat to control temperature even though the room was comfortable to my standard. My wife is going through the "change" and subject to hot flashes and wanted it cooler. There are a couple of fans in the room that she was able to turn on. There was also a space heater for I imagine would be needed in the colder months. The biggest critique though would be the room layout. The front door opens directly into the bathroom. If you happen to be sitting on the toilet or just stepping out of the shower when the front door is opened, you would have great views out onto the front porch and front parking areas and vice versa. Although there's not a big risk of someone peeking in, it still is kind of awkward. The bathroom is spacious enough where some kind of partition or wall could be set-up or installed to shield the front door views. All in all, I would recommend and would stay here again if I were passing through this area.

This was a different kind of place. But it was such a great way to start our vacation! We loved the hot tub, and the room was spotless and so eclectic. Communication was fabulous - we will be back!

Urine stains on not one but both mattress toppers which had been placed to hide the even dirtier mattress. Not a real room, a fake wall with floor carpet was placed up to separate a second room and owner had hidden camera likely in room, could not locate but detector found 3 cameras one was well hidden the others were legit. Didn’t realize pricing point was so low til checkout just thought a cute cabin would be nice. You walk into the bathroom at entrance. Rey very unsafe

The house feels like the country but it is close to I-64 and downtown Huntington. Staff is great. It was immaculate, comfortable and very tranquil. You could definitely enjoy a vacation at Log Cabin in the Field.

This was our 3rd time staying in room A. Great night sleep. Comfortable bed. Convenient. Love the atmosphere. We will be back.

My wife is going through the "change" and subject to hot flashes and wanted it cooler. There are a couple of fans in the room that she was able to turn on. There was also a space heater for I imagine would be needed in the colder months. The biggest critique though would be the room layout. The front door opens directly into the bathroom. If you happen to be sitting on the toilet or just stepping out of the shower when the front door is opened, you would have great views out onto the front porch and front parking areas and vice versa. Although there's not a big risk of someone peeking in, it still is kind of awkward. The bathroom is spacious enough where some kind of partition or wall could be set-up or installed to shield the front door views. All in all, I would recommend and would stay here again if I were passing through this area.

A short trip to visit family and the cabin room was perfect. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was nice and large.

It was strange entering the space through the bathroom, but the room itself is welcoming and cozy. More outlets would be helpful. Love having a microwave, fridge with freezer, Keurig, AC, fan. Everything we need!

A very comfortable one-night stay -- I would definitely stay here again!

The cabin is cute from the outside but the odd layout made it a bit challenging to have easy access to our things. No place for us to sit inside, just on the porch.

Nice place with a comfortable bed. Not much around but close enough to a town. Peaceful setting. Thin walls was the only downside we could hear the other rooms very clearly.

Ric was excellent at communicating everything I might need to know prior to my visit. This made it quick and easy checking in and finding the restaurants close by.

This was the perfect location for visiting my relatives in Ceredo-Kenova. Easy access to I-64 yet quiet nights with super-comfortable bed. Excellent immediate response to any need or request that arose while also respecting my privacy. Hope to return soon.
