The rooms were old and not very well maintained. Scratches to the furniture, marks on walls, cabinets, drawers, and bathrooms. The drain in the shower did not work well which resulted in flooding in the bathroom. All elevators were out of commission on the 16th of March which forced us and all other guests including seniors to walk up and down 10 flights of steep and narrow stairs. No service elevators or alternates were available and hurt my ankle badly walking up the stairs. Staff were unable to help and said the only solution was to take the stairs. There was a conference going on at the same time of our stay which caused a lot of delays and lead to a disappointing experience. The gym was old and not well maintained (dead flies all over the floors), pool was extremely cold even though it said heated. Reception was cold compared to the previous hotel we stayed at. Upon our check-out, the conference had ended and the floors were being cleaned by cleaners dumping buckets of soapy water on the hallway at 12pm. We had to walk and wheel our luggage through an inch of soapy water risking falling and getting injured. Very negative experience especially considering that we paid roughly $400 per night for a week long stay. The room was way overpriced and should have been half of that. Not impressed and would not recommend or return based on this rate.

I always feel that Möwenpick is a good option to stay in Nairobi. It`s central, has good standards and good people working there. The General Manager is a good guy. He attended well to a bad experience I had with very very slow room service. But, thats life. In specific I would like to uphold Sharon in Housekeeping for excellent service. She is efficient, a big smile and very welcoming. You should promote her to a bigger position, she is a very good ambassador for the hotel. Also, people in the bar in 2nd floor and the resuaramt people, and the barista in the new coffee-bar, all very positive. But 5 star rating to Sharon.

It has very good security and various restaurant serving variety of Kenyan, Indian and European food…there is also a big heated outdoor swimming pool, gym on the 22nd floor overlooking Nairobi and wonderful rotating restaurant on the 24th floor.

This is a nice hotel in Nairobi Westlands, not far from Nairobi National park and airport. It has very good security and various restaurant serving variety of Kenyan, Indian and European food…there is also a big heated outdoor swimming pool, gym on the 22nd floor overlooking Nairobi and wonderful rotating restaurant on the 24th floor. SPA is rubbish, try to avoid, they are muddling with slots then charge you for services you have never ordered and at the end arrogantly ask you if you want to leave a tip???

We have had the most amazing time at Movenpick Hotel. From the delicious breakfast buffet to the clean, spacious room with comfortable bed and pillows - the hotel is excellent. We especially enjoyed an incredible evening at The View Restaurant which was spectacular. Jerome, our waiter was knowledgeable and so friendly. Overall, we really loved and appreciated how kind all the staff are. They truly go above and beyond for their guests. A special thank you to Hillary at Concierge, Winnie at the breakfast buffet, Freda at Guest Services, and the security team - who showed so much kindness. We really appreciate you all. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back!

Glad I had booked same hotel for further 4 nights after my initial stay 7 nights . Everywhere seemed so clean and the staff were very helpful. Only thing I noticed was as a solo traveler you make sure they give you the room type you have paid for. I got told only room available was at the residence building opposite the main hotel when I had paid for superior standard room but this got resolved the next day

Well located hotel. All staff are pleasant but overall service is not attentive as the staff seem focused on the bigger groups. Room and overall hotel is quite dated- carpet is not fresh, smelly hallways, bathroom fan operational when not needed (noisy) and most importantly the shower never had hot water despite the repairs; it was lukewarm at best. Breakfast was of good variety and in room dining food was generously portioned and tasty. Very good toiletries brand!

The room was huge and comfortable. The restaurant The View on the 24th floor was impressive with the rotating floor, and the food was exquisite. The hotel is a bit dark despite all the windows. The reception area is very big but not warm. It is a bit old, both the infrastructure and the decoration. I felt I was entering a huge dark cave. Somber and not too welcoming. I had the same feeling on the second floor restaurant. Huge, cold and somber.

I asked to clean my room, but they did not with no explanation. And when check out, the mount of money I used I had to pay from the deposit they made from the check-in time, but I had to get the rest back though it was 300 Kenyan money(small), but they did not pay back. if the Counter girl would have explained me, I would have said, keep the change', but they did not say anything. It is a small matter, but no rightful service.

I was charged 100 USD for an early check in by a couple of hours in spite of telling them that I plan to check out at 6 am on 19th March and come back again for a day’s trip on 21st March and again will check out early around 630 am. Ridiculous.

Check-in was quick. Welcome drink and hand towel was given. The porter delivered the luggage to the room and gave a tour of the room. The area is full of energy. Plenty of places to eat , socialize and shop. Sarit Mall including the above is a 3 minute walk. Streets are safe to walk, day and night.

Hotel is good, but the service could be improved. My airport transfer was not booked properly by the hotel so I had to wait 30 mins in the middle of the night for it to arrive. I ate at the view restaurant and the service was very slow. I have stayed here many times and generally I am happy but this was not a great experience..

Mövenpick hotel provided us with a very comfortable and what felt like a luxurious stay for one night while in Nairobi. The staff were very nice and accommodating, the food at breakfast vast and delicious, and the hotel itself beautiful. We will definitely be back.

I still have dreams about this place. Its absolutely amazing. Customer care is amazing, every meal there is a buffet and its close to all you need. Cons: you had to go to the lobby for deliveries. And i was pregnant so come supper time I found it hard to eat and wouldnt allow to take food which we had picked from the buffet into the room.

Very impressed overall. In conjunction with my stay I celebrated my birthday and the hotel surprised me with cake in the room after we returned from dinner in the revolving view restaurant. Overall the quality and presentation of the food was excellent, staff friendly and service on point. We will surely be back!
