Hyatt Place Hampton Convention Center

It’s a nice place to stay for the weekend, they have an indoor pool, a small gym, a bar and breakfast. The room was clean, although you do have to ask for a microwave, other than that everything was good.

Staff was A++!!! Room was spacious and clean. Fairly quiet (as hotels go). Onsite small restaurant and bar. No complaints at all!!!

The property is in great shape. Check in/check out was easy and the desk staff were very attentive to the one maintenance issue I noted. If you arrive late, be aware that the parking is behind the building and the back doors may be locked, meaning you have to go around to the front so I would recommend driving to the front to check in first. I appreciated the breakfast which was fresh cooked and tasty.

The pool and staff were awesome. Breakfast staff was phenomenal.

Change your carpet. Replace ripped curtains. Stabilize refrigerator so it doesn't fall in the floor when opened.

Everything was great, I am very picky about cleanliness. every time i went down to the lobby, they were cleaning, When we arrived the room was spotless. The area where they served breakfast was spotless. We are planning on going back in the Spring of next year and we are planning on staying there again.

They did not honor Expedia prices, and when i got to my room there where roaches in the room. I was given another room and the room didnt smell clean. When you walk in it smelled like roach spray after I showed pictures of the two roaches. I will not stay there again! $400.00 dollar stay and the room had bugs and the other room had an ordor!!!!

Overall it was a decent hotel, check in staff was pleasant and efficient. Hallway to the room showed some signs of wear and in need of a couple repairs. Room was decent, the glasses in the room weren't exactly clean, sanitized plastic or paper cups should be considered. Breakfast offerings were better than most.

Hotel convinently located near/off hwy., a lot of parking space available and easily accessible. Hotel looks up to date. Rooms are larger then some other hotels I have stayed in.

This hotel was nice. It seemed slightly dated even with the updates. It was clean and the staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast was pretty good. The walls were paper thin and I now know the neighbors’ names (in my Trey Songs voice). I would stay here again, but it was more on the good side as opposed to the excellent given in other reviews.

The hotel and the room was cleaned, but the bed was very uncomfortable. It felt soft and worn out. My wife had back condition, and it made it worse for her to sleep in.

Staff was INCREDIBLE. So sweet and accommodating. My only issue with this property was the loudness in our room. We could hear the pipes in the walls banging and it kept us up most of the night. Other than that, I would stay here again.

I stay at this hotel every time I go to Hampton. Its very clean and the service is top notch. The only reason I marked the review as "good" instead of "excellent" is because I was given a room someone was already occupying. I walked right in on them. I was restless during my day in fear that someone would mistakenly be assigned my room and walk right in. I also needed to contact the front desk and the phones were not working. Other than that, its a really a great hotel.. located in a great area. Oh and the continental breakfast was good.

This property cancelled our reservation that was booked and paid for in advance to take walk-ins due to be sold out for college move-ins. The explanation was -due to a third party (Expedia) booking.

We booked our room a couple of days before we arrived. We drove from North Carolina to Virginia and were told that we had a check in at 3 PM upon arriving at 3:50 PM. We were told that our room would be ready in 10min. That definitely wasn’t the case as we didn’t get into our room until almost 5 o’clock. Obviously, with having an exhausted toddler and pre-scheduled Reservations this definitely created a problem. It seems as if the hotel overextended themselves as there clearly wasn’t enough rooms since they were scrambling, trying to find one. That being said our money was taken on Thursday night so you knew well in advance we were coming. If you didn’t have space we could’ve gone to someplace else that was able to accommodate. Despite the the wait, not once were offered a way to rectify this issue. We were not given a discount. We were not given a better room. No attempt to resolve the issue from staff. Our time was completely disregarded. If the rooms weren’t ready they could’ve notified us well in advance to make other arrangements or provide an ETA when to check in. However, we checked in an hour after scheduled check in and we still had to wait for a room. If the hotel overcommitted itself, it’s not our fault. We could’ve been refunded and went to another establishment. Of course, we were late to our event. In regards to the room, it was fine however, the continental breakfast was subpar at best. We ended up going to Dunkin’ Donuts. Should’ve used our Hilton points.

This was my second stay at this hotel within the last several months and each time my room was not ready. The first visit…my room was not ready until 4:30pm. The second visit which took place on last Friday - 6/14 my room was not ready until 5:40pm. They need to do better. And the compliance certificate for the elevator was expired. It expired on 5/31/24.

The staff is nothing short of amazing!! Every person we encountered was extremely hospitable. Large, clean room. The chain website should be updated, though, there isn't any late night dining, just beverages & snacks available at front desk. The dinner items ordered at the bar weren't good; we ordered chicken wings that were not good at all. Quite disappointing, ended up throwing them out. We missed the free breakfast due to our early flight, so cant speak to that. I would absolutely stay here again, just understanding that I'll be bringing in my own food or ordering elsewhere. Drinks at bar were good though.

Hotel was clean and breakfast was good. They tried to vary the breakfast offerings every day. I missed having tea/coffee available in the lobby throughout the day like some other hotels. Got woken up twice early by the fire alarm and had ti evacuate, apparently due to toaster incidents in the breakfast dining area. Otherwise it was a very good stay.

Menu variations are good.

The hotel was great, we were looking forward to the continental breakfast. It was okay but they didn’t have a toaster and the options were limited. I wish they had a waffle station and that it didn’t open and close so early.
