Bishops b&b is central to everywhere, we parked the car and didnt need to move it until we left, it was warm, comfortable and a great breakfast selection, the only thing i would say is, we were in room 4 and it wasnt ensuite, we did have the downstairs bathroom to ourselves but our personal preference is ensuite, Jim the owner is friendly and very knowledgeable about the area and he really couldnt do enough for all his guests, i would most definitely recommend Bishops b&b

This place was great! It was very clean and comfortable. It’s extremely close to the downtown area and parking was right in front of the house. We loved Jim (the host) and his breakfast was amazing. I would definitely stay there again!

Jim was a fantastic host, very knowledgeable about the area and its related history. He gave us great recommendations and was incredibly welcoming. The property is an easy walk to the city walls and we were able to park right in front on the street. Would absolutely stay here again.

Well located for visiting the Free Derry Museum and Bloody Sunday Memorial and walking tour. The City Walls are also close by. It's near enough to the centre to walk into for bars and restaurants. Rooms and bathrooms are small but exceptionally clean and comfortable. Tea/coffee making facilities and a hairdryer are provided.There is free on street parking. Good choice of breakfasts. Can highly recommend the cooked breakfast. The owner is very welcoming and helpful when you need directions to the sights.

Check in was easy and very personal. Jim was extremely helpful and friendly. The B&B’s location is perfect for walking through Derry and access to restaurants and pubs. We were able to park for free along the street out front Our room was clean and comfortable. We slept extremely well. We greatly appreciates the free wi-fi and morning Breakfast. But best of all wa the owner’s hospitality. Highly recommend Bishops Gate B&B.

The property is very convenient and within walking distance of everything you would want to see in the area. Clean rooms and bathrooms. The host Jim was amazing and provided great information and recommendations not only for our stay but for the rest of our Ireland trip. Do not skip the breakfast if you have time, best full Irish breakfast of the trip.

Outstanding Stay at Bishop’s Gate B&B We had a fantastic stay at Bishop’s Gate B&B in Londonderry! From the moment we arrived, Jim, the host, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. His hospitality was exceptional—nothing was too much trouble, and he had great recommendations to help us make the most of our visit. The B&B itself was spotless, and you could tell the rooms had been newly decorated, giving them a fresh, modern feel while still being cozy and comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely fabulous! We enjoyed a delicious Ulster fry, cooked to perfection, with the option of additional fruit, cereals, and a variety of fruit juices—a great way to start the day. The location was excellent, just a short walk to the main attractions, restaurants, and the historic city walls. If you're looking for a warm and welcoming stay in Derry, Bishop’s Gate B&B is the perfect choice. We’ll definitely be back!

Room was small. Bed was old, soft and springy. “Private bath” turned out to be down the hall, necessitating leaving the room and walking past the breakfast room to get to the bathroom. The room and house had a heavy cleaner perfume/scent- bad for my allergies. Safety wasn’t great - there were multiple extension cords plugged into each other. Doors required a skeleton key to get out, scary in a fire! But.. the room was inexpensive, the location was great and breakfast was good.

Bishop Gate BnB had a great location, just outside of the Bishop Gate, so we didn’t have to be directly in the tourist area. The owner is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and good. The room and bathroom were a bit snug. They were a comfy size but not big enough to leave our suitcase or bathroom stuff out.

Owner was great, excellent breakfast and he gave great sight seeing tips! Space (bathroom in particular) was too small for our family of 4 adults. But the location was excellent and neighborhood was safe, and again host was just fantastic.

Great location with the centre being just a few minutes' walk. Room was compact but sufficient for my wife and I. Jim was a tremendous host providing excellent tips for places to see, dine and drink on arrival, he was also a great laugh engaging with all the guests.

If you ever wondered what its like to stay at a classic Irish rowhouse, stay here. Ours was situated in the middle of a well maintained, but non-descript row of doors. Nicely renovated inside, but snug as you would expect. Our room was basically just bigger than the double bed, but nicely appointed with a decent bathroom. The host was wonderful, friendly, and cooked us an entire and delicious Irish breakfast. Great location, just minutes walk to the old wall. Walking along the top of the wall takes you back to medieval times. Great experience overall, highly recommended.

Arrived and the place wasn’t open, rang doorbell and called. I had asked if it was possible to leave luggage in the morning prior to checking into my reservation. I received a “yes” which I thought I could. I went straight to hotel and stayed there. I do not recommend booking any B&B’s for this town. Just go straight to hotel for better service and no fuss.

Bishop Gate BnB had a great location, just outside of the Bishop Gate, so we didn’t have to be directly in the tourist area. The owner is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and good. The room and bathroom were a bit snug. They were a comfy size but not big enough to leave our suitcase or bathroom stuff out.

Great location with the centre being just a few minutes' walk. Room was compact but sufficient for my wife and I. Jim was a tremendous host providing excellent tips for places to see, dine and drink on arrival, he was also a great laugh engaging with all the guests.

This place was great! It was very clean and comfortable. It’s extremely close to the downtown area and parking was right in front of the house. We loved Jim (the host) and his breakfast was amazing. I would definitely stay there again!

The property is very convenient and within walking distance of everything you would want to see in the area. Clean rooms and bathrooms. The host Jim was amazing and provided great information and recommendations not only for our stay but for the rest of our Ireland trip. The welcome we received was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. We got loads of tips about things to do and transport which made our visit very enjoyable and very illuminating. Breakfast is very good with lots of choice, very comfortable rooms.

If you ever wondered what its like to stay at a classic Irish rowhouse, stay here. Ours was situated in the middle of a well maintained, but non-descript row of doors. Nicely renovated inside, but snug as you would expect. Our room was basically just bigger than the double bed, but nicely appointed with a decent bathroom. The host was wonderful, friendly, and cooked us an entire and delicious Irish breakfast. Great location, just minutes walk to the old wall. Walking along the top of the wall takes you back to medieval times. Great experience overall, highly recommended.
