The hotel is in fact 20 shipping containers stacked over four stories. The layout and comfort of the room was good and it had a kitchenette. The management of the check in process in my case was chaotic because there is no staff on site and the assistance available took a full hour trying to get me into my room, failed and left me to my own devices. It turned out that a crucial email containing entry codes had been sent to Expedia rather than to me. It's a fragile system with too many things that can go wrong and in my case most of them did.

We were staying for the London marathon. It was perfect location and super easy to get through security to the room. The only issue was that there was a lot of noise from the bar downstairs but you’re in London so that’s to be expected I suppose! The bathroom was super clean and the bed was really comfy. Would definitely stay again.

This place is a cheap hostel disguised as apartments. I have stayed in London close to 100 times for Business and pleasure and this is THE worst place I have stayed. I chose to stay here because I am working close to Waterloo and distance wise it was convenient. The place is so strange. You have to go through a bar full of hipsters to get to a door where you put the code in to get to the rooms. The rooms are cold, dark and LOUD. You can hear every passing train, every cackle from the bar, it’s horrendous. I put my iPods in and can still hear everything. Had I not had work close in the morning, I’d have gone home.

The fact that they are unmanned property should be made known up front. I had no idea and we had to sit in a coffee shop for two hours because our flight got in early. No lee-way for getting your room early or even storing your luggage. It would be nice for one person but not big enough for two that have suitcases. Had to put suitcases on the floor and step over them on the positive side it was very clean and close to stores and restaurants.

This pod was great for a short stay and in a great location. to walk to the Southbank. Only downside is that we didn't receive the check in information until an hour later than the check in time which was a tad frustrating.

If you want somewhere that has a mini kitchen and fridge as well as a dishwasher this is great. Shower good. Lovely touch having the toiletries. It was quite noisy from the trains. The air conditioning kept going back up to 27degrees on its own and was noisy which was unpleasantly hot! and annoying. The fire alarm went off at 8.30am so that wasn’t good but l guess couldn’t be helped. The staff l met were lovely and helpful.

Good communication from stowaway team and the set up was v straightforward to use with codes coming through in good time. The location was perfect for us, the room nicely proportioned and v comfortable-lots of space and a great electric black out blind to help with sleep. The lift didn’t work, he electricity kept cutting out, the communication was terrible, we didn’t receive our room code until ten minutes after we complained, and the (remote) staff were no help whatsoever. Terrible, to the point of dangerous, with the electricity and lights cutting out all the time. Unacceptable. I would never recommend this stay to anyone and I’m surprised Expedia has them on their books as it is detrimental to their good name and reputation.

Decent location. A bit shabby inside. Cupboards falling off. No glasses Poor check in. Did not receive any check in information. Had to e mail and try by App many many times until around 5 pm Eventually got check in information on App and SMS. But not on e mail as they said they had sent Very frustrating as I was tired and wanted to check In. Got a later check out by an hour eventually Which was kind of them but again. Shower was broken....fair enough, refunded 50%. But also, no hot water....and to top it off, the trains are literally yards away and wake you up at 5am. Nice modern apartment and comfy bed etc

Great location. Stayed 2 nights. Did not expect a complete lack of hot water in the shower or both basins despite requesting this be fixed. Communication from Stowaway was uninterest initially they tried to claim this was fabricated until invited to come and see for themselves. Despite this they did not provide a solution for our stay ie. They did not fix the problem or provide us with another room. Do not stay here unless you love freezing cold showers.

For a woman travelling alone, I would not advise staying here. The back of the property is open air which I did not notice before booking (it is in the pictures but in the later half of the gallery). It is the loudest place I have ever stayed with trains regularly going by but also with the busy wine bar situated on the ground floor of the property. My shower flooded the bathroom and room due to poor drainage which was fixed promptly however maintenance left wet, dirty towels all over the floor. The staff I spoke to were all nice and helpful however I would definitely not recommend staying here to anyone. It is also cold, for which there is a small fan heater provided, however I can imagine this is not man enough in the Winter.

Great find in the heart of London. Lovely clean and comfortable everything you need for a stay in London whether it be a night or a week. The shower was amazing one of the best I had in a hotel. The train noise is an issue but it’s not a problem during the night and I took ear plugs so didn’t bother me at all.

Great location in south bank. Walkable to most well known tourist destinations across the river. Also it’s right beside Waterloo station which trains can be heard but it didn’t bother us. Check in was a bit clunky as we didn’t receive the door code by email and had to speak with a representative over intercom. They did resolve the issue and allowed us an early check in once the room was ready. Thank you However the room was clean but it wasn’t spotless. There were a few random stray hairs and dusty too shelves which was fine but could so easily be improved with a quick wipe and a throughout vacuum The space itself is very slick really well designed. We would definitely stay here again Thanks

Room full of flies when I arrived. Not great sleep due to fire alarm at 2am train noise at 5am and no blackout blind/curtain only voile style so room wasn’t dark. Liked the design of room, clean apart from the flies - I expect the door had been left open when they were cleaning/preparing.

Great location just next to Westminster Bridge. Some cool restaurants and bars on the doorstep. The hotel itself was above my expectations. The room was lovely. Great shower and kitchen. The bed was so comfortable and the blackout blinds did the trick. The nearby trains didn’t bother me in the slightest as the heavy doors blocked out the noise. Will definitely be back.

We had a great stay at StowAway and will certainly return in the future. The room was big, comfortable and had everything we needed. It is in fantastic location to Waterloo so made travelling around the city easy and convenient.

My spouse and I stayed for one night. We were very happy with the accomodations. Sleek rooms with everything you could need in the kitchen (including a dishwasher, microwave, and hot plate). The bed was a nice king size, shower pressure was good, the electric blinds blacked out the room, and cool USB charging ports bedside. Our morning was a little hectic with the fire alarm going off. The fire brigade came and turned it off. I'm not sure if this is a common occurance because the rooms don't have any option for extra ventilation while cooking.

The room was brilliant. Really well laid out and comfortable. Great shower. Main bug bearer was the light in the lobby on a pir which would turn on at night with the slightest of movements, it also made a lovely little clicking noise which led to me not getting good sleep both nights. The tv could also only be turned off at the wall which was difficult as the tv was fixed right to it on a bracket. You could also hear the trains coming from Waterloo station from earlier 5am (obviously close to station but as you are In a container the sound proofing isn’t amazing)

Really good. Excellent communication throughout. Access to the property was straightforward. Good location close to tube station and shops. The studio was very well equipped, kitchenette more so than expected as had a combo grill microwave as well as a portable induction hob. Hot powerful shower. There was the train noise as covered in other reviews but actually this didn’t really disturb me which was a surprise as I forgot my ear plugs and am used to quiet. A big improvement on usual central London broom cupboard sized hotel rooms I will definitely use again

Location is excellent! A few blocks to multiple subway lines, including the train that we took to Hampton Court Palace and the two different airports. The street where the hotel is located was filled with restaurants and bars and a street market. The graffiiti Tunnel is steps away. 15-20 walk to many London attractions as well... Room had everything we needed the bed and pillows very comfortable. (not many rooms with kings size beds) Good communication with the hotel, when I needed a blow dryer and clean up of a broken glass. Both were quickly addressed. The self check in was seamless as well. If I am being picking, some hooks to hang towels and brighter lighting. They are currently doing construction across the street but we never slept in. The street is a little noisy but it was fine for us. Overall great stay! Would definitely recommend!

They are currently doing construction across the street but we never slept in. The street is a little noisy but it was fine for us. Overall great stay! Would definitely recommend!

Avoid this hotel. Locked out of room, given someone else’s room, someone else given my room, locked out again, no answer on the phone, broken air conditioning, extremely noisy next to Waterloo, no hot water in the taps and no action taken. The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I checked into a different hotel after the first night as I felt completely unsafe.

Stow-Away had some of the most efficient use of time and space I’ve ever seen! All staff were friendly and answered FaceTimes, emails and calls promptly. Stow-Away was incredibly accomodating with early check in and late check out. Loved the proximity to the Tube, Big Ben, London Eye and other key tourist attractions & grocery stores everywhere kitchenette made our lives so easy at night. Loved it here and WE WILL be coming back soon!!!

The lift didn’t work, he electricity kept cutting out, the communication was terrible, we didn’t receive our room code until ten minutes after we complained, and the (remote) staff were no help whatsoever. Terrible, to the point of dangerous, with the electricity and lights cutting out all the time. Unacceptable. I would never recommend this stay to anyone and I’m surprised Expedia has them on their books as it is detrimental to their good name and reputation.

Decent location. A bit shabby inside. Cupboards falling off. No glasses Poor check in. Did not receive any check in information. Had to e mail and try by App many many times until around 5 pm Eventually got check in information on App and SMS. Had a great stay. Read the StowAway reviews and came prepared with earplugs for when I went to sleep. I couldn't access my emails on the way to the hotel when I arrived in London and was very quickly helped when I rang up to get the access codes. Super comfortable bed. Close to Waterloo Station, which was great. Would definitely stay again!

Great location just next to Westminster Bridge. Some cool restaurants and bars on the doorstep. The hotel itself was above my expectations. The room was lovely. Great shower and kitchen. The bed was so comfortable and the blackout blinds did the trick. The nearby trains didn’t bother me in the slightest as the heavy doors blocked out the noise. Will definitely be back.

Location is excellent! A few blocks to multiple subway lines, including the train that we took to Hampton Court Palace and the two different airports. The street where the hotel is located was filled with restaurants and bars and a street market. The graffiiti Tunnel is steps away. 15-20 walk to many London attractions as well... We had a great stay at StowAway and will certainly return in the future. The room was big, comfortable and had everything we needed. It is in fantastic location to Waterloo so made travelling around the city easy and convenient.

Great location in south bank. Walkable to most well known tourist destinations across the river. Also it’s right beside Waterloo station which trains can be heard but it didn’t bother us. Check in was a bit clunky as we didn’t receive the door code by email and had to speak with a representative over intercom. They did resolve the issue and allowed us an early check in once the room was ready. Thank you However the room was clean but it wasn’t spotless. There were a few random stray hairs and dusty too shelves which was fine but could so easily be improved with a quick wipe and a throughout vacuum The space itself is very slick really well designed. We would definitely stay here again Thanks

We were staying for the London marathon. It was perfect location and super easy to get through security to the room. The only issue was that there was a lot of noise from the bar downstairs but you’re in London so that’s to be expected I suppose! The bathroom was super clean and the bed was really comfy. Would definitely stay again.

This place is a cheap hostel disguised as apartments. I have stayed in London close to 100 times for Business and pleasure and this is THE worst place I have stayed. I chose to stay here because I am working close to Waterloo and distance wise it was convenient. The place is so strange. You have to go through a bar full of hipsters to get to a door where you put the code in to get to the rooms. The rooms are cold, dark and LOUD. You can hear every passing train, every cackle from the bar, it’s horrendous. I put my iPods in and can still hear everything. Had I not had work close in the morning, I’d have gone home.

Amazing location and the rooms are very large considering how they are constructed. I unfortunately took ill (nothing to do with hotel)and had to go to hospital during my stay. I subsequently received a personal call from the hotel manager saying that I should not worry about the room and he would keep it free until when I was well again and could collect my thinks . This was a really nice touch and I would stay again

This was a really cool place, being made from shipping containers. The room was as expected. It was clean and had the little kitchenette, which was great. The location was fantastic, being close to restaurants, bars, the sites, bus stops, and the train station. I would definitely stay here again.
