Staff was nice, but the facility was less than stellar for sure. The tv was super small and we only received three channels. The breakfast was premade omelettes, some sort of pastries, cold cereal and orange and apple juice. During the entire week we stayed, there was no cleaning service. If you are looking for luxury, this isn’t your place. If you’re looking for a place to lay your head, it is ok.

The TV wasn’t working and he blamed expedite you guys should’ve told me before I booked it. Also, there was a window that did not lock and somebody could come right in and steal our stuff or hurt us so I was very worried about safety.

Run down, bed worn to too soft, tv had 2 channels that were abc and twc. All others were scrambled or not there. Temp in 40s outside, had only floor space heater. Cabin didn’t seem to be insulated enough.

Individual cabin rooms (two per cabin). While it was clean, the AC was very loud and the wi-fi was very poor, and kept disconnecting (what we could connect at all). Also, the ice machine only provided very little ice.

The pictures do not match what the property currently looks like at all. It has been repainted and while that is a good thing, the cute curb appeal with flowers and picnic area off the creek it sits in fromt of is non existent. There is an only hot water heater behind the cabins, and the picnic table is dilapidated and falling apart. The cabins were borderline clean, but the bathroom left a lot to be desired. The shower curtain was disgusting, needed to be bleached something fierce. It had o lo the pink algae type mold stained about 2 feet up from the bottom. There was a plug in literally 8 inches from the tub and the toilet was leaking around the base and unstable. We kept the rooms because we were not there much. The front desk girl was extremely nice and helpful. Wish the facilities had been as described online.

The hotel website said TV was included but on check in I was told that no TV cable service was available and it wouldn’t be available for so time to come. Had I known this I would not have booked with this hotel. They should not be allowed to mislead the public like this. Shame on Hotels.com for allowing this scam to continue. At the very least a rebate should have been offered.

We were given a room and when we opened the door the room was dirty. Bed unmade from the person before us and garbage stacked on the table. The front desk was able to quickly assign us a new room, but we had to kill 3 wasps, several kissing bugs and several flies. Floors were stained and dead bugs on the table and the floor. We attempted to find a new place stay, but with the busy weekend we had no choice. We checked out around 2:45 am as there were more bugs crawling on the headboard.

The only good things about this place are the staff and the location. This place is seriously in need of repairs! The room was minimally cleaned, floor was nasty and the laminate coming up. You can tell there has been a major water leak in this room. Used towels left on the bathroom door. Spiders EVERYWHERE! The modem was hung on the porch ceiling outside and plugged into an indoor extension cord that went through the broken window. The room smelled like mold and the refrigerator froze everything solid. Barely any breakfast items, only hard boiled eggs that had hair in them, cereal, toast, coffee and juice. No meat options at all. There was a microwave but no food options to put in it. The ice machine barely works and gets dirt in the ice. I should’ve complained to management but I didn’t because they were so friendly. But seriously they are going to get shut down if they don’t fix this place up and make it worth the price. This place has so much potential and it’s sad to see it in such terrible condition. I will not be staying here again.

This place is disgusting and they do not disinfect or clean!!! We found found another persons underwear under our bed. Towels were dirty, shower was plugged with hair, bed and dirty dog prints on it and it stunk horribly! We complained and they put us in another room which wasn’t a “pet room” and it wasn’t any better. The floor wasn’t even attached to the subfloor! The pictures and description were very deceiving and clearly not even the same motel. Disgusting!!!!!!

As a seasoned traveler I can call this hotel one of the worst...sheets on one bed were stained with blood or mold...told staff and nothing was done...it's a shame to have to pay for a place like this. Expedia would do itself a favor by removing it from their list. Traveler beware!

The property was older as we expected. Many reviews said the same but said it was clean. It was clean everywhere except the floor. It was filthy! You could feel the grit as you walked across the floor. I wipped a small spot with a wet paper towel I had and it cam away brown like dirt. We never took our shoes off till we climbed on bed. Bathroom floor was ok.

This place had the worst mattress, the shower was so small you kept shutting it off with your arm. The floor itself was sloped so yiu felt like you were on a hill. And the road noise was terrible

Well it was a bed to sleep in. But property was pretty run down. Water pressure and temperature kept changing during a shower. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was okay. Would probably have spent the extra money on one of the other chain hotels if we were to do it again.

The room was clean but poorly laid out. The air conditioner was place on the inside of the room in a box next to the bed. When it would turn on or run, it was so loud that he woke us up. We finally turned it off so we could geet some sleep. We did not travel with our pets, but took this motel becaus it said if was pet frendly. However, upon arrival we discovered a $250 non-disclosed pet fee. Which was more than what we spent on the room. I was happed we did not bring our furry children.

Despite noting I needed a pet friendly room when I booked the room I was charge extra money for my dog . Then when I threatened to call Expedia, Alex then threatened to refuse me service. I get I was tired, but the arguing and the verbal abuse and threatening to refuse me service because they wanted extra money was not acceptable.

The lying owner/manager lied to me and said that he did not have my Expedia reservation for for 3nights so I had to make another reservation when I called him up to say that I would be late on July 29 for my Expedia reservation.The lying owner/manager said that I did not prepay for the Expedia reservation that I made.In fact I did prepay for part of the reservation and he did not credit me for it.To add insult to injury,the same dishonest owner/manager tacked on an additional unwarranted 100 dollar charge at the end of my reservation for routine cleaning.Nothing was damaged or stained.The floors and counters were clear ready to clean.Aii the garbage was in receptacles. I am forced to dispute his dishonesty with Citibank Mastercard.

The place is ok budget friendly . You get what you paid for, I don’t know why they said it’s very good . Maybe the review was given by their relatives . The place itself is great bec it is very close to Mt . Rushmore . But the place is almost run down . They gave us a room close d to the dumpster don’t know if there are snakes or rats . They should clean up the place . The room has no toilet paper . The towels are so rundown , white is almost grey. The WiFi and TV not working . What I don’t like the most they get and open your room without your permission just to check if the WiFi connection is working . Really they invade your privacy . What I don’t like the most they get and open your room without your permission just to check if the WiFi connection is working . Really they invade your privacy . I got in earlier than expected so I was able to check in an hour early. The breakfast was great and it’s near everything. We all forgot the card key to get in and the manager was so nice enough to walk there and unlock it for us! Would definitely stay here again!

The people running this establishment are the most accommodating people I’ve encountered in my two week trip from Saskatoon to Niagara Falls to Sturgis to home. Lots of places we’ve stayed at were not so. They went out of their way to make sure we got the room that met our needs.

The price was great for the beautiful location. Staff was friendly but the room was interesting. Smelt like mold really bad. They Tried to do a split double bed room but the bathroom was very inconvenient, and if you closed the door the second bed wouldn't feel the A/C. Couldn't hear all their kids playing outside because of the A/C unit. Location is prime key! Super beautiful outside.

The wood flooring in the photos is actually a large roll of some kind of synthetic material designed to look like wood. And it does look it, but it was coming loose from the underlying material. The breakfast was fine. The owner was very nice. The location was excellent.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Not a new luxury hotel, but clean, quiet, comfortable, and close to and convenient to everything in Keystone, Custer State Park, the Badlands, Rapid City etc. at a very reasonable price. Left us with more money to do things in the area! All guests were convivial and host was awesome.

Proprietor and breakfast were excellent, the building is now white, not blue as depicted on Expedia, My room was Ok but the floor wasn’t level and the linoleum was buckled, great water pressure in the shower, pillows were below par, two channels on the TV didn’t have sound, think 12 & 16. Within walking distance of the touristy part of Keystone, I don’t recommend Ruth House, very close to Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorial as well as Custer State Park and Needles Highway.

Friendly helpful staff. Decent room, could be aired out a bit. Hot shower. Liked the porch outside the room. Sink was outside the bathroom which made it convenient for one to shower while another uses the sink. Breakfast was good.

The area around the property was very nice. Lots of shopping and Dining options. The Motel itself was in bad shape. Inside the motel room some of the wood was coming off the walls. Had to return our towels from Our bathroom so they could wash them and we could have them again. Breakfast provided was not very good.

The property is old. However the rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Even when my grandson locked his key in his room 4 times☹️ The breakfast was an average breakfast. I enjoyed it but I head others complain. They had butter but no jelly for toast. It was a quiet stay which was nice. I would stay again.

This is an older property that needs come care. Breakfast was poor at best. The bed was comfortable, the shower was nice. No housekeeping service. The area was beautiful with lots of trees and was quiet.

This place has not been updated in at least 50 years. We were on the second floor, the stairs were horrible. It had a lot of nails sticking up, the boards were rotted, we were afraid that we were going to fall through. The carpet in the room was in poor condition, wore through to the subfloor. We ended up choosing not to stay here because we found stains and hairs on and in the bedding. We didn’t confront the office staff, we just left and found another place to stay. It smelled stale also.
