Amazing Boutique Hotel. The decor, the scent, the rooms so clean with character. The pool area has chairs and daybeds along with amazing cocktail service. The bar at Del Rey is chic, upscale and sexy. So many little details about this property that make the stay worth the money. The staff brings it all together. We were bummed to leave after only 2 days and are already planning our next stay. Would definitely recommend!

An absolutely perfect spot for a dreamy couples getaway. One of the loveliest vibes I’ve ever experienced. Beautiful, cozy property so well decorated and kept. Quiet, child free, and so easy to connect. Great location in Palm Springs, but honestly we never left the property. We loved the heat and how cooling the pool was, the dinner at Del Rey was outstanding. Breakfast was excellent with lots of options for a continental breakfast. Lots of amenities to make the stay so comfortable. We will absolutely be coming back. Just the most perfect little hotel ever.

The property has three pools, one of which (main pool) is actively chilled which is perfect in the summer heat of Palm Springs. The other two pools warm up throughout the day but are perfect for evening swimming. The cabana had a perfect view of the mountains, drinks were good, breakfast was simple but delicious. The staff was friendly throughout our stay. We look forward to another visit. Pet friendly! There was a good amount of grassy areas around the perimeter of the property for our pup, we spent some time at the event area which is a large grassy area surrounded by tall hedges.

I will forever stay at this resort! I’ve been going to this resort for years and they never disappoint. Clean, safe, friendly staff, reasonably priced, 3 pools, super cute retro rooms and the property itself is a picturesque vibe!

One of the most charming hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Booked the Villa Rosa Capri across the street- a beautiful quiet pool separate from the hotel with all the amenities at a stones throw. Thoroughly recommend it. Hotel staff was attentive and the service given was top notch. This hotel is exquisite in every way.

Overall enjoyed stay. Our room was really dusty especially the ceiling fixtures. The patio had a lot of bugs we ended up getting a lot of mosquito bites. Great bar by the pool with snacks that you can order.

Minuses: tv didn’t work until day 2 despite service requests and attempts; requested maid service didn’t occur, 3 issues with bathroom (slow shower drain almost completely stopped by day 3. How does housekeeping not notice the drain?). Enjoyed the food but was overpriced. Deposit was not credited towards final bill, waiting for the credit. Still, an enjoyable stay that earned five stars in some regards and is better than than the minuses would suggest.

I love staying here, we had the most beautiful trip. It was serene, quiet, and so clean. Something we noticed this trip that we never thought about before because we love the sun, Villa has the most shade available to guests and it was so helpful. As well as the cleanest pool! Best hotel in Palm Springs, thank you guys so much!

The place is very nice, the service outside the rooms was excellent, but the rooms need a lot of cleaning attention, the sheets were stained the towels where stained we asked for replacing and towels still where stained. But we did have a great time.

Upon arriving, me and my partner were in awe with how beautiful the property was. We had an amazing time although there was a fake eye leash extension and a small blood stain on the comforter. Upsetting yes, but we did make the most of our trip and had a great time overall.

We stayed here for a night and had a double room. Room was comfortable but dated. I’m not sure when this motel was originally built (maybe the 1950s?) but clearly a quick hipster renovation. Old hotel with a new coat of paint and some trendy artwork. The ubiquitous turntable is the only thing that was missing. Some lights were out in bathroom. All in all in was fine but expensive for what it was as it used to be a 2 star motel most likely before quick makeover and now twice the price. The pool was nice but we didn’t use. Location is about a ten minute drive to main strip.

We had a great stay at this hotel! It definitely has those classic Palm Springs vibes. We reserved a two-bedroom unit and were impressed with the excellent customer service and cleanliness of the property. We stayed in Room 10, which is right next to the breakfast area. If you’re looking for a peaceful morning, I wouldn’t recommend Room 10 (or Room 7), as the proximity to the breakfast seating area means you’ll hear very loud conversations starting as early as 6:30am. People do not use their quiet voices, so it can be quite disruptive. That said, the hotel has other two-bedroom units that are farther from the breakfast area and much quieter (we’ve stayed in them before, though I don’t remember the room numbers). Despite this, we had a fantastic time and would absolutely stay here again—just not in one of the rooms near the breakfast area!

It was ok, I expect the room to be more comfy. When booking they don’t tell you that some rooms are located across the street & NOT on the main property. Which is a big turnoff. Paying so much to not stay on the main location. I felt like I was pushed to a side project version of the hotel. The code to get through the doors inside the main location was a bit difficult. Restroom window kept opening & it was really dusty. Closet light is a string you pull like a dingy lil’string. & no closet door. Pillow shames were stained & when asked for new ones the receptionist girl said the stains were normal cuz she used to work housekeeping. Door lock was broken & had to be fix. Water in shower & sink takes a while to warm up. You have to use your own apple credentials to log in or else you have no tv. All communication is through text which is kinda annoying. No phone in room. Speaker in the room was not working. Don’t know if I’ll be back. Property is beautiful but that’s about it.

We’ve stayed at Villa Royale many times over the last five or so years and it remains our favorite place to stay in Palm Springs. The rooms and common areas have been thoughtfully renovated to feel mid-century yet stylish with modern amenities. Most of the rooms feel suite-like with nice kitchenette/bar areas. The three saltwater pools are all heated and always quiet (thanks to the 21 only property). The hotel is very dog friendly and has a large private green lawn that’s used for events but it doubles as an epic dog run space. Top all of that with a quiet, but still central location, great cocktails and one of my favorite restaurants in the city (the Spanish tapas Del Rey). We’ll be back.

The rooms are big and full of mid century charm and individuality. Very comfortable bed. Great shower pressure. Wonderful amenities in the room (booze, snacks, Nespresso machine). The staff was wonderful and attentive, the pool was heated and relaxing. Truly a special yet quiet place to stay for a few nights. They also had bikes you could use. Would recommend choosing the Villa Royale, if back in Palm Springs I wouldn't hesitate to patronize again.

Beautiful and funky boutique property! We loved our stay but a few things: ask for a room near the main pool. We were in a little area across the street from the main resort in room 46. It was very quiet over there and did have a small private pool. So if you like quiet and not crowded this is your place. However… it took a very very long time to get drinks and food poolside. We almost gave up! Also, our room had the tiniest bathroom I’ve ever seen. For reals. In the shower my husband was almost touching all four walls (and he’s tall and thin), and don’t even think about having room to shave your legs. Zero counter space to put your things…only a pedestal sink. And the toilet was so close that my face was almost touching the sink when I sat down. We had a lot of good laughs about that. So, all in all I would stay here again but definitely in a different room. Beautiful and funky boutique property! We loved our stay but a few things: ask for a room near the main pool. We were in a little area across the street from the main resort in room 46. It was very quiet over there and did have a small private pool. So if you like quiet and not crowded this is your place. However… it took a very very long time to get drinks and food poolside. We almost gave up! Also, our room had the tiniest bathroom I’ve ever seen. For reals. In the shower my husband was almost touching all four walls (and he’s tall and thin), and don’t even think about having room to shave your legs. Zero counter space to put your things…only a pedestal sink. And the toilet was so close that my face was almost touching the sink when I sat down. We had a lot of good laughs about that. So, all in all I would stay here again but definitely in a different room. Other than that, everything was great, and we really enjoyed the complementary bikes, the free breakfast, the restaurant Del Rey, and all the staff were super friendly and accommodating.

Excellent vibes in room and throughout the property. Must hit happy hour in the Del Rey. Excellent drinks and atmosphere. Windows and thin walls allow for a lot of noise as guests roam the property. We stayed in a larger villa with kitchen and it was roomy. Bathroom is tiny!

Even better in reality than in pictures. Absolutely loved this boutique hotel so much! The style, the comfortable bed and great shower. Loved the vibe of the pool and lounge areas and the light music they would play in the evenings. The staff was so sweet and went out of their way to assist anytime I asked a question. One of the most charming hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Booked the Villa Rosa Capri across the street- a beautiful quiet pool separate from the hotel with all the amenities at a stones throw. Thoroughly recommend it. Hotel staff was attentive and the service given was top notch. This hotel is exquisite in every way.

This is my go-to hotel in Palm Springs. Amazing location, beautiful property, clean, quiety, and friendly staff... Although, the front desk attendant this time around seemed annoyed every time I asked her a question and she'd be sure to ask "have you ever stayed here before?" before answering me. Wasn't sure what to expect, but it was exceptional from the moment we walked into the lobby. We were greeted with a smile and they upgraded us, we didn't even have to ask! Offered us a welcome drink, which was not expected at all and gave very detailed information about the hotel and how to get to our room. I will certainly re-book on my next trip to Palm Springs.

We had such a great stay at Villa Royale! Aldo at guest services and Carlos at the bar were absolutely amazing they treated us so well and made the trip extra special. It was my birthday, and they went out of their way to be welcoming and accommodating. The hotel was also wonderful for our pup, which made the experience even better. Honestly, this was one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had and I’ve traveled and stayed at places all over the world. Highly recommend Villa Royale if you’re looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay in Palm Springs.

We’ve always wanted to stay at the Villa Royale after we stumbled upon the hotel when we visited their restaurant Del Rey a couple years ago. We had the opportunity to stay here last weekend and had the best weekend ever. We were greeted with friendly faces, complementary drinks, and a room upgrade, which was an amazing way to kick of a birthday weekend. We loved our spacious room and the fact that the hotel itself was adults. Only the poolside drinks and food were awesome and a great addition to have while we were relaxing. I’ll definitely be coming back soon.

My favorite part was how quiet and private it felt. We were there on a week day and had the place mostly to ourselves. Staff very friendly, pool warm, drinks delicious. I’d definitely go back. Downside was that it’s not walkable to downtown, and finishes didn’t feel super high end, but certainly can’t be beat for the price.

Our stay was very nice! The property is well maintained, the rooms are comfortable and the pool area and breakfast were really great. We did wish there was a hot tub. Also, the drinks were quite good. The food at the Del Rey was just ok but the ambience was really cool. I would stay here again.

Very much a hotel where they've thought of everything to make it easy/chill for guests staying. The Villa Royale struck the right balance between luxurious and relaxed. I absolutely loved the layout of the property, a serious of interconnected atriums leading to charming courtyards or pools. Developed in 1947, it has a elegant feel while still being modern in design and facilities. A nice pool surrounded by the rooms and a second quieter pool and hot tub (very hot!) in the grounds. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very polite and efficient. Had a great stay and wish we could have stayed longer.

My wife and I stayed here for her birthday this June and we were pleasantly upgraded to the honeymoon suite. We were floored by the quality and design of the room. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful for whatever we requested. The pool and vibes were immaculate, no rude or rowdy guests made the entire experience worth it. The restaurant at the hotel was also incredible; the Spanish tapas were all excellent and staff was well trained and friendly.
