The room was fine, Front desk was great and the housekeepers were very friendly! The hotel was undergoing construction so this explained a lot of the noise. The beds could use mattress pads or could be replaced. The grill however I am flexible was advertised as a gas grill from the photos, but there were two charcoal grills with one lid and a broken handle. Which we jimmy rigged. Our requests through housekeeping made our stay pleasant and the patience of front desk with our keys that were demagnetizing constantly were taken care of in an immediate fashion. The gym is great! The laundry was free so no complaints overall we would stay here again!

The parking spaces were small, hard to pull/back into for larger vehicle's. Needs some updates but comfortable sleep rooms. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and fitness gym. Staff very friendly.

Our stay was good. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable. Parking on the other hand was not so good. People took 2 spaces or they had big rig trucks taking up space. Then always having to ask for towels and being told different things everyday. Either they would bring it to us, then never got them, when asked was told no.

I stayed here for a night on the fourth floor. It was mostly quiet. Limited parking late at night, I barely found two available spots with a narrow awkward layout. Insects were crawling in my room at night. Pest control is needed ASAP. Parts of the room and bathroom were aging and dirty. Hygiene is poor and needs improvements.

Was originally assigned a dirty room, but they were quick to change us out. The room was overall not bad, the a/c was a little hard to regulate, was either really cold or warm and stagnate, and it would have been nice if there was an extra blanket in the closet. The room was otherwise well stocked, was clean, but I did notice a fair amount of mold on the bathroom ceiling.

I was unable to stay in this hotel ,due to it being filthy. First room they gave me had not been cleaned. Bed unmade. Trash left on tables, bath light on. Went and told front desk. Then sent to another room. Room had not been cleaned. Trash was in trash can. Sheets did not look like they were changed. The bed was made though. Fleas were jumping on my legs. I couldn’t get hot water to wash my hands. I was told we couldn’t get a refund bc it was booked through Hotels.com. I called for a ride and left. Lesson learned. I tried to immediately contact hotels.com but was only able to use online assistance. I will not trust Hotels.com again.

Candlewood Suites offers travelers a clean comfortable room without all the extra services of some of the fancy, pricier hotel chains. The room has a small kitchen with full size fridge, dishwasher, microwave, small cook top and coffeemaker. There are dishes and a few pots/pans so that you may cook some simple meals. We stayed here for a high school reunion and the location was perfect. This one is near many restaurant chains on Western Boulevard. The hotel is in walking distance to the Walmart.

Room was big. Looked just like the pictures with a separate door for the room. A/C worked great. The staff was amazing always greeted our dur babies and us with a smile and wave. They were very accommodating when the 1 wk turned into 1 mth. I would definitely stay here again

The biggest problem was the window would not lock. They had put a bar in the bottom of the window, but it still opened about 6 inches. The screen had been tampered with as well. We were on the first floor, so that was a big red flag. The dishwasher and microwave did not work. I didn’t talk to staff about these issues, because there were signs up, which told me they knew the room was like that, but still rented it anyways. They did provide another microwave on the counter, which took up counter space. Also, my bill at check out showed almost $20 less than what I was charged, which was confusing. The staff was very nice and friendly, but over all, the space felt unsafe and if we had needed to stay longer than one night, we would have changed hotels.

The room was good and had essential amenities for long term stay. Bed was comfortable. The hotel is older and in need of renovation. It was fine for me, but I wouldn’t bring my spouse or children here. I would look for a newer hotel. Also, this hotel has no USB ports in the room and other current electronic capabilities that most hotels offer now.

Overall, the stay could have been worse, but the service was not good. I wasn’t greeted or told hello when I walked through the lobby on multiple occasions. There was also an awful smell that remained in the hallways of the hotel. I was not comfortable during my stay by myself either, I will not be staying here again. I’ve stayed here in the past but it’s a lot worse than it was.

It was horrible. From check in to check out. It took forever to check in. The room was dirty and ac didn’t work. Had to change rooms twice. The room originally was supposed to be non smoking and when I get in it smelled like 3 packs of Newport’s were smoked there before I got there. I really wish I could get reimbursed from this. Absolutely horrible

They did not put my wife and i in another room when our key didn't work the whole stay after numerous attempts from the staffs and management and they had 12 other suites available the reason why i know 1 of the employees told us.Talk to the manager with her coming to check the keys haven't heard back from hee.

We needed unexpected lodging late one night and chose this property because of its distance to base and the fact it allowed pets (traveling with 2 small pugs). The counter staff was pleasant upon checkin. We did not refresh our room during our stay, so I have no comment on housekeeping. Our room did have an odor to it, but it is an older hotel so maybe that is why. The area proved to be a little sketchy. It essentially is in the same parking area as the Jacksonville Walmart, at night it seemed like you might not want to be out walking alone. We ended up staying for several nights and one night we put a small bag of trash at our door, we travel a lot and this has never been a problem at any property we have ever stayed at. However, that night a little after midnight, while we were sleeping the room phone began ringing. After being jarred awake and answering it was the front desk telling us not to leave anything outside our door. We had a 11 hour drive the next day so that was a little annoying. Overall, this place worked in a pinch and we would probably stay again because it was cheap and it was a business trip not a vacation.

As usual check in was very easy and the staff was friendly at check in. The room was very clean and fully stocked. My only issue with my room this stay was the very uncomfortable coldness in the room. Even with adjusting the thermostat the heat did not seem to work. The DVD player and tv were not properly set up so i had to go downstairs to get help and a movie. The night time male receptionist seemed to be highly agitated with me for asking for a movie and help with my tv, but he did come upstairs to replace the missing cords. There is a huge police presence around this hotel and many people on foot that are not people staying there. It is however near a residential area, several hotels, restaurants, and stores.
