The staff are warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Everything was spotless clean. Our room was fantastic ... it was what I bpoked, but much better than advertised. Huge bathroom by London standards and an enormous surprise terrace. The pool was great and private. Linens were top notch. Bed was comfortable. Afternoon tea was a delight and the bar was fun. I am only upset I couldn't stay longer. Will both me back AND will be telling all of my friends.

The service at the Milestone Hotel is excellent, many hotels claim to give good service but the Milestone is one of the best. Lovely hotel, great location, fabulous bar, a great welcome, lovely room and as stated already, Excellent service. Staff are motivared, well informed, well trained and sincere in their desire to ensure you have a great stay. We will be back & highly recommend. What more needs to said!

Absolutely loved this hotel ❤️ from the moment we arrived until we left, the staff and service are exceptional as is the hotel and facilities. Couldn’t fault anything at all. The best hotel we’ve stayed in in London and I’ve tried many of the 5 star hotels here! The breakfast was epic! Honestly first class all round! We were given alcoholic welcome drinks on arrival In the beautiful new bar and showed around personally by the lovely Katerina. Will definitely be staying here again when we return to London ❤️❤️❤️

Cannot say enough about the wonderful experience we had here.The hotel is a classic first rate boutique hotel. Beautifully furnished with beautiful Elie Lambert paintings and lovely attention to detail right down to fresh flowers in the elevators. My sister and I felt like family, fussed over and treated like princesses for the week we spent at the Milestone. Staff is first rate, kind and funny like the best kind of family. The rooms are extremely comfortable with comfy bedding and lovely amenities such as Floris soaps, lotions and hair care products. Despite being full at the time of our stay, we never heard a peep from neighboring rooms. The two doormen Steve and Tim sent us off in the morning and welcomed us “home” each evening like doting uncles. Angelo in the Stables Bar was a wizard with the cocktails and exceptionally charming. Highly recommend the Milestone… I look forward to returning.

Cannot be compared to any other luxury hotel I have stayed at previously. Exceptional in every way. Everything down to the finest detail has been considered and catered for to ensure the best possible stay. Nothing is 'conventional', staff are very friendly and attentive, able to gauge how you are feeling and recommend/cater accordingly. Only a good working environment could foster this atmosphere. I am (almost) ashamed to admit I spent the majority of my time with Angelo and his team in the confines of the enchanting barroom, lured by the espresso martinis and good banter. I grew up in hotels and guest houses as a child in St Andrews - but the Milestone is in a different league entirely. The head porter (whose name escapes me) - was an absolute gent, and deserves an honourable mention. Wouldn't look elsewhere for my next stay!

The reputation for amazing customer service is justified, the entire staff team were wonderful and made us feel like they'd do anything to make our stay better. It definitely felt like a luxury experience. What I wasn't expecting was how small the bar area was, and how not very comfortable it was. We struggled to find somewhere in the hotel to just sit and relax, the rooms and spaces aren't big. We ended up going outside the hotel to eat and relax, which we didn't expect, but there are plenty of good bars and restaurants nearby.

We loved our short stay and would have liked to have had more time to enjoy the bar etc. Our room was large and comfortable and every staff member we had contact with was very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stay again.

I love to come back to my home from home, but feel it's a little more crowded and noisy since my previous visit. An example being what I assumed was exclusive use of the swimming pool and spa areas - as you have to book for an hour - turned out to be a less than relaxing experience with staff in and out whistling, knocking on the sauna door stating they thought I'd left when my robe, etc was still on the lounge chairs, and generally people in and out in the very short time I had to enjoy. Zen - the wonderful Front Desk Manager - was understanding and addressed my concern with a complimentary offering, for which I'm very grateful. One highlight was discovering a member of the Team who used to be at The Montague hotel, had transferred over to The Milestone. Absolute pleasure to see Jorge again.

The Milestone is wonderful! No other word to describe it. The staff are so attentive and friendly, they really do make you feel right at home. The room was incredibly comfortable and quiet. And we loved the spa facilities - you have to book your 1 hour slot but then you get the whole place to yourself - we did the sauna and the pool on each morning after breakfast for an hour and it felt like a private retreat just for us. The breakfast is also brilliant, with plenty to choose from, including cooked breakfast and continental options. But the real star of the show is the design and decoration, from the speakeasy style of the back bar, to the elegant restaurant, and wood panelled antique feeling lobby. The hotel just oozes style and comfort. And the staff top it all off. We will only ever stay at the Milestone from now on, whenever we are in London.

My stay here was wonderful. The staff is attentive and gracious, seeing to a guest’s every need. I was delighted to see when I returned to my room in the evening each day that it was all prepared for a relaxing evening (light music playing, slippers laid out, a lit candle by the bath, etc). The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. If you cannot find something, the front desk has it and is eager to help. The location is easily accessible by public transportation and, of course, is across from Kensington garden, a wonderful green space to walk around.

This is what hotels used to be like 100 years ago. The staff are remarkable, they remember, they care, they inquire. These are pros, people who are professionals, and what they do. Housekeeping staff are out of this world, I've never seen a room that clean. The gentleman with the top hat, who welcomes you every day, makes you feel like you're coming home. The cuisine in the bar or just fantastic. Save up your money and stay there instead of some other place. This is the only the hotel in London. I'll ever use again.

We stayed at the Milestone for 5 nights based primarily on reviews. From the moment you arrive you feel welcomed by the doorman, the front desk staff to the concierge. It was a pleasure to be greeted by name when returning or coming down in the morning. The room was impeccable, clean and inviting. Turndown service each night was a welcome treat. The bathroom was clean with a powerful shower with abundant hot water. 2 different robes - 1 waffle/1 plush are available for your relaxation. There were 2 bath towels and 2 bath sheets iin addition to the usual face and wash cloths. There were two hiccups - our remote was not working for the TV and the engineer quickly came and reset the box. The second time the bathroom door got stuck and the same engineer returned within minutes. Finally my mother fell on our way back to the hotel. The staff helped with her evaluation and called their own emergency line to help give guidance on whether or not we should go to the emergency room. The food in the restaurant is excellent! If you are there on the fourth Sunday of the month -the Sunday Roast is phenomenal!! The service by the restaurant manager again excellent. The hotel is located across from Kensington Gardens thus an nice pleasant park for walking. It is near Kensington High Street with several restaurants, coffee shops and stores in walking distance. The perfect small hotel with personalized 5 start treatment and accomodations. I would definitely return!!

When deciding what hotel to stay in while in London, The Milestone has been on my list for ages. And boy, did it live up to expectations. When the porter greeted me with "welcome home", that's exactly how I felt. That I was home. My room was small but very well-appointed (even had a bidet) and the bed was like sleeping in a cloud. There was nothing about this stay that was not top-notch. If I am able to again in the future, I would most definitely stay here again.

Overall probably the best Hotel experience in London over 30 years of visiting regularly on business. This small British hotel is top notch. Literally right across the street from Kensington Palace and Hyde Park. Friendly staff, convenient shops and restaurants surround. The room was modernized with walk in closet and heated bathroom floors. Very spacious for London. Great onsite restaurant. Just great overall. It is a 5 star experience in every way!

This is a beautiful hotel with very friendly, professional staff. The only reason I did not give 5 stars for everything is that we had informed the front desk that the water in the shower would turn scalding hot to ice cold without any warning. This is a very dangerous situation as we were worried that we would be burned. We were told the situation had been remedied but alas, the same thing happened the next morning. Upon reporting this, the front desk got right to work finding us a new (lovely) room and told us that they would move our things for us while we were out. The new tool was spacious and beautiful and the shower was terrific. The people at this hotel are lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. The location of this hotel is perfect for visiting all of the museums.

My wife and I didn't enjoy our stay at the Milestone. While the staff was friendly and attentive, we found the room really very, very small - there wasn't really much space to put luggage racks out in the narrow gaps between the edges of the queen bed and the walls of the room. The decor was definitively old-school and fusty. We had a wonderful stay at the Milestone. The hotel is historically charming, beautifully, well-appointed with nice amenities. It’s a five star hotel that gives you the feeling of luxury. The rooms are small by American standards -we did have to wrestle with the height of the shower. But, that’s part of the charm of a historic building. The highlight of our stay was the incredible staff. Steve is a true gem and went out of his way to be helpful and courteous. Overall, we found all Londoner’s to be extremely kind and friendly. We will definitely be back.

Having previously stayed at The Milestone, I was expecting the same level as previous experiences. Sadly, this was not the case. Walking into reception to see two huge displays of dead red roses, summed up our experiences really. The staff were all helpful and polite but over all, a very poor experience. We asked for a twin room, it was not twin but a zip link bed unzipped, so may as well not have bothered? The first night/next morning we had no cold water, the hot water was at thermo nuclear level hot, so we were unable to take a shower/bath. This however was quite quickly sorted, but begs the question, why wasn’t it checked beforehand, as they obviously knew there was an issue to sort it so quickly? The second morning, our friends were woken twice, at 6:00am and 6:30am, by early morning calls from reception. Again, this was dealt with, but shouldn’t have happened. On our last morning, breakfast was a disaster. We ordered, waiting 20 minutes, then everything arrived together - fruit; toast;porridge and full English breakfast! Obviously we sent back the hot items, which were then returned to us later. When I say returned, exactly the same breakfasts were brought out, cold and solid, so we sent them back again. Once again dealt with but all in all, not the kind of things you would expect from a 5* hotel? Our bills were also incorrect at check out, and three tries later, we’re corrected. The hotel, like the dead roses in reception, has seen better days!

The stay at the Milestone Hotel was absolutely phenomenal. The most impressive thing about the hotel was that the staff. From Tim as the doorman, and Jorge and Stephen as the Concierge staff, we were well taken care of and they truly represented Milestone's 5 star status. The room was also outstanding with a lot of character. We stayed in the Matisse suite with authentic Matisse artwork. Wow! When we return to London, we will stay at the Milestone...a truly top notch hotel.

We absolutely love this hotel. The staff are amazing, friendly and efficient and can’t do enough to help. We’ve stayed twice now and both times they exceeded our expectations. Breakfast is the best! Try the pancakes … delicious ❤️❤️. It genuinely feels like you are going home when you go back to this hotel, you get a personal service here you don’t see often these days and we didn’t even have to give our room number as the staff memorise your name and which room you are in!! We will definitely be staying here every time we visit London 👌👌❤️❤️

I love to come back to my home from home, but feel it's a little more crowded and noisy since my previous visit. An example being what I assumed was exclusive use of the swimming pool and spa areas - as you have to book for an hour - turned out to be a less than relaxing experience with staff in and out whistling, knocking on the sauna door stating they thought I'd left when my robe, etc was still on the lounge chairs, and generally people in and out in the very short time I had to enjoy. Zen - the wonderful Front Desk Manager - was understanding and addressed my concern with a complimentary offering, for which I'm very grateful. One highlight was discovering a member of the Team who used to be at The Montague hotel, had transferred over to The Milestone. Absolute pleasure to see Jorge again.

This small, boutique hotel is quintessential London! It has a Victorian vibe and the waitstaff treat their guests like royalty. It’s a stone’s throw away from Kensington Palace and Sir Albert’s Hall! I highly recommend the Milestone Hotel!

The staff are warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Everything was spotless clean. Our room was fantastic ... it was what I bpoked, but much better than advertised. Huge bathroom by London standards and an enormous surprise terrace. The pool was great and private. Linens were top notch. Bed was comfortable. Afternoon tea was a delight and the bar was fun. I am only upset I couldn't stay longer. Will both me back AND will be telling all of my friends.

This is what hotels used to be like 100 years ago. The staff are remarkable, they remember, they care, they inquire. These are pros, people who are professionals, and what they do. Housekeeping staff are out of this world, I've never seen a room that clean. The gentleman with the top hat, who welcomes you every day, makes you feel like you're coming home. The cuisine in the bar or just fantastic. Save up your money and stay there instead of some other place. This is the only the hotel in London. I'll ever use again.

Love the hotel. Location is not an issue as transport links in London are good on non strike days. Its a 10 min walk from the nearest tube and a change is needed to get to any shopping area. Great staff and service, lovely little bar and the glass of champagne brought to our room whilst we unpacked was lovely! The restaurant is really lovely too with generous sized breakfast portions. Regrettably one main course at dinner was served luke warm at best which is a shame in an otherwise pretty perfect hotel

But the real star of the show is the design and decoration, from the speakeasy style of the back bar, to the elegant restaurant, and wood panelled antique feeling lobby. The hotel just oozes style and comfort. And the staff top it all off. We will only ever stay at the Milestone from now on, whenever we are in London.
