Breakfast is pretty ordinary, but it’s a bit of a hike ( down to st Kathrine’s) for something nice, so it’s kind of a time thing.

Quite a good breakfast, with multiple freshly prepared hot items - not just a Continental style

We were very disappointed in this hotel. The worst was that the shower floor was extremely slippery and there were no grab bars. My wife slipped and fell the first night. After that we discovered fine print at the bottom of the obligatory card regarding towel use a statement that rubber mats were available on request. The hotel expressed little concern about my wife's injuries, which spoiled much of our stay in London. Other issues: no phone in the room, we were provided one hand towel to share, but two bath towels, the room was dirty, they only cleaned the room and emptied trash bins on request, it took at least 15 minutes to get hot water, the main areas were dirty, the rceptionist barely spoke English when we checked in. The breakfast was decent, and the restaurant/bar was nice. Most of the people in contact with the guests spoke English poorly, but were generally pleasant, although my wife ordered a Baileys and the woman told her to order something else because she didn't kniw how to charge her, even though the Baileys was sitting on the bar shelf. That got fixed by calling another person over. This wasn't our worst hotel experience, but certainly in the bottom 3.
