Good location. Room was clean. Staff was nice. Liked the reception (2 free drinks). Breakfast was great! Elevators were slow and one was down when we stayed there, so long wait times. Hair dryer did not work after following the instructions and pool was pretty small, which was good for kids. Overall, enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

The hotel is very nice, staff is attentive, common areas and rooms are very clean and breakfast buffet is good. Location is great and it is easy to find and park. Only thing I would improve is the pool water quality. Kids wanted to use it, they did, but it was very cloudy and the chlorine smell was intense making you cough and burn the eyes. Other than that the hotel is great!

This is a beautiful facility. The staff were extremely accomodating. We came from out of town to meet here for a family holiday party in the afternoon in the breakfast area. Later that evening we enjoyed drinks and hor's douvres for free. The indoor outdoor hot tub was so hot but nice.

Parking was easy, $20 a day come and go as you like. Check in was a breeze as they explained amenities very well. $50 hold for incidentals. Rooms are large and were very clean. All bathroom toiletries were provided (body wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, makeup remover) Check out was equally as easy. We enjoyed our stay.

Room 404 was spacious with great view. Except main darkening curtain puller was broken off. After searching, it was found in a corner of the room. Curtain was very heavy to manually open and close. Shower had good hot water but black something was around the bottom of the shower rim. Checking in was dull but the lobby was clean and pretty and but I was mislead about the parking fee. The outdoor hot tub was a good temp but only 1 jet was working and the paint around it was chipping. Check out was confusing. I couldn’t understand her English. Breakfast was good and staff friendly.

We had a great stay. Overall the room was pretty clean. We were a little boggled why we only had one tiny trashcan for the entire suite. The hotel is clean and the staff are super friendly and helpful. We will definitely return again.

Very nice hotel. Check in quick. Parking comes with the room key. Hotel has a flight board of arriving and departure flights. Breakfast was good, omelet station, eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast, oatmeal, cereal, coffee, muffins, so much selection. Very engaging breakfast host. Clean. Clean. hotel.

Room was comfortable and clean. Pool area was dated, dirty, and wrecked from 30 kids in the pool (jumping, pushing, knocking over furniture). I wish the staff could have monitored that a little better. The sports bar next to it has great food but slow service on Friday night. To be expected though. The breakfast is phenominal! Overall, good stay and would return.

It wasn't the best Embassy suites we've stayed at. Happy hour had a few beers and wines listed. 2 per person. There was nothing appealing on the drink menu. Couldn't even get a fuzzy navel, they would have charged me, and those are super cheap to make. Our room faces the parking garage wall, couldn't see over it. Just staring at gray concrete. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was great. They charge $20 per night to park. We had zero problems, we have just had better.

We got checked in to our suite and the TV in the bdrm area did not work. We called the front desk and they did not have a TV on hand so they moved us to another room. That was the only issue. But handled very well. Plus they comped our parking.

This was a perfect family stay for us, with our toddler and infant. They even provided a nice crib - not a pack n’ play. Highly recommended for families looking for a “two room” option in Grand Rapids. Pool is lovely, and very friendly staff in every department. The only down side was the balcony-facing room. It’s a bit loud to be on the street-side, and you can hear other guests out on their balcony at night. If you’re planning on an early night, book the non-balcony side of the hotel.

The hotel lobby is beautiful. Lots of amenities like free breakfast and complimentary happy hour. ROOM WAS AMAZING, loved the balcony and space. Amenities in room were excellent. Great beds, great tv. Staff was awesome and went above and beyond

We stay here often, always have a nice stay. Upon check in, we were told our room was not ready, this was at 3:30pm. We needed to be showered and ready for a wedding, finally at 4:40 we finally were able to check in. We were rushed to get to our event.

I showed up early they gave us pool key which was nice but I kept checking to see if they had rooms avail yet every hour .She kept saying NO .I was in the pool I randomly heard a guest get a notification on her phone that her room was available.I went back to the front desk and inquired about phone updates for check in the agent said yes if your HH member and you log in the app u can check in when a room becomes avail. I was really disappointed that after visiting the from desk a few times for updates I was offered that information. .They did not allow anyone to check in till check in time at that point there was a line and while waiting in line I logged in and checked in online .would of been nice to been advised that when I was so early I had luggage and kids and was sitting there for 2 hours

Great stay at the Embassy Suites Downtown. Our room was clean and comfy with a great view of the river. Avoid the second floor if possible due to the added noise from pool and lounge traffic. Breakfast was good, but staff were not prepared for the number of guests on a Sunday morning. Long waits for food and coffee. Overall a very nice stay in a beautiful hotel.

Stayed overnight for an event at VanAndel. Room was large with seperate sleeping area and a couch with tv and desk in another area with a sliding door between. Parking was plentiful. Easy in and out and close to center. Bar on site. Starbucks on site. Breakfast in the morning was great. They actually cook your eggs or an omlette for you. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
