Very cute. Artsy. Boutique hotel. Big beds. Nice showers. The staff helps with bags. Plans your tours. If you only come to Bacalar. To see the water. Get a tour from the hotel staff. Price is good. But most important. Is the boat crew entertains you. Leonardo and hector Great captains. Full of energy. And knowledge. The water is amazing.

This was a great stay. Great location, street parking nearby was not too hard to find. Lots of great restaurants nearby and a short walk to the lagoon. Many great spots around the property to relax including the roof. Enjoyed the hotel cats (it factored into our decision to book there) and the little touches the hotel includes in the experience.

We stayed at Casa Chukum for four nights and it was perfect. All the staff who work there are so helpful, welcoming and it is a lovely environment and base to enjoy all of Bacalar. Short walk to some great bars and restaurants and cheap taxis to beach clubs / lagoon tours. Huge comfortable beds and great value for money. We would love to come back and again and highly recommend!

From the moment we checked in, we felt welcome and in a relaxing space. The owners of this boutique hotel have put much effort into making it a special place that exudes calm and kindness. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and quiet at night (the walls are thick, so one doesn't hear the neighbors). The interor garden with a pool is a lovely refuge. The hotel is close to many good restaurants and just a short walk to the lovely water of the lagoon. We highly recommend this hotel in Bacalar!
