Moxy Minneapolis Downtown

Room was fine, if overpowered by the Moxy "signature scent" which is still on my clothes at home. If you want to iron a shirt, be prepared to do it in public, next to the elevator in their "ironing nook." Oh, and if you need to throw anything out, don't because there's no wastebasket in the room. But staff is super friendly and was open to feedback.

We stayed at this hotel because we attended the Monday night football game. Overall the hotel was great to pre-game and just walk across the street to the game. The staff was amazing and very friendly. However they don't do a very good job at explaining the parking ramp. We got checked in and left to go shopping/eat and while leaving the parking ramp we had to pay a exit fee. I call ed them asking why we had to pay when we are apart of the hotel. Nothing was mentioned at check-in about getting a pass for to use for exiting and entering the parking ramp. We had to pay extra to exit. They did refund that back and then gave us a pass. Leaving the parking ramp after the football game we went to leave and our ticket said it wasn't good and we owed $50 for the event parking!!! I had to go back into the hotel and explain what was going on again and they rescanned the parking ticket so we could get out and not pay $50! Overall the hotel was great but the parking ramp was a mess.

We loved our stay ! The hotel has such a fun vibe!! We enjoyed having a drink at the lobby bar with all the fun games around! A short walk to the Farmers market and the walking paths! We’ll be back for sure. The only thing that was a bit of a suprise was a $35 charge per day for parking. We got a parking pass when we checked in, we thought that was included.

Great hotel! Comfortable platform bed. Great a/c. Great bathroom enough but limited counter space. Nice rain head shower. Good body wash/conditioner. Only downside was motion sensor light in middle of night. Great location in mill district. Trader Joe’s across the street. Excellent Indian food around the corner spice and tonic. Easy to get to and to get wherever you are going. Nice walk to st Anthony main area. 2nd floor lounge to visit with friends. Nice gym with good working treadmills and ellipticals. Nice bar with plenty of casual seating and games. Easy access parking garage 35 a night in and out. We had a jr suite. The sofa bed was a fold out floor cushions. Only real downside. Room big. Plenty of seating and a desk. No drawers but lots of hooks to hang things.

The location was excellent for our visits to US Bank Stadium and easy access to the train for getting to other areas of the city. The water bottle filling station down the hall was a nice convenience. The rooms didn't have refrigerators, coffee makers, or dresser drawers, which wasn't a big deal for me but if you prefer those amenities, beware.

Good stay over all. One elevator was out of order during the stay which created longer wait times, but not a huge issue.

Boutique hotel in downtown. Hotel and rooms are clean with housekeeping offered every other day. Small lobby bar (no food), free coffee and tea, and fun games (board games, foosball, giant Jenga, etc.). Trader Joe's acrosss the street. Close to a fun river walk trail for exercise during the daytime.

I love the single bed above the king. This gave my 14 year old son some privacy while still sharing a hotel room with his parents. These rooms are beautifully designed but lacking a few amenities. There are no mini refrigerators or coffee makers. There are also no closets but one whole wall is covered in hooks. I also wish they had body cream in the bathrooms. On the whole we had a very nice stay.

REALLY LIKED the room, just the size we needed. My six. foot tall husband thought the bed was a little low, I was fine with it.

Very close the us bank stadium. Close to restaurants. Rooms are not the quietest. Mattresses are nice but pillows are terrible

It is a very modern minimalist hotel. That is fine, but the bathroom is cold/drafty without a shower door. Lighting in bathroom is not great for makeup, contacts or anything close. Bed is comfortable. Pillows ok. But the heating kicked on every 20-30 minutes and I felt a strong breeze all night. Need fins to direct it elsewhere.

Small room, industrial decor, good blackout shades, memory foam mattress ok but nothing special, no closet or drawer space (pegs across one wall, good if living out of a backpack), impossible to shower without water all over bathroom floor. Excellent staff, funky lobby & bar area with fun things to do. Very close to light rail station & bus stop, as well as US Bank Stadium.

Great location, fun bar atmosphere-cool to get drink tickets when you check in. Rooms were clean & comfortable. Very "compact" but for 2 people staying just fine. Would be nice to have a small mini fridge

Very modern. A lot of restaurants within walking distance. No microwave or fridge in the room. Great place to stay.

The only complaint was how loud the air conditioner was when it kicked on. Woke me up a few times during the night. The room itself was clean, nice and modern sparse.

The hotel had a modern feel and was clean. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Attached parking structure was convenient but came with a $35/ night fee. Check in was rather late at 4:00 pm. Because we were in Minneapolis for a wedding that stat started at 4:30, we had to book 2 nights instead of one. Hotel computers were down upon arrival which caused another 1/2 hr delay checking in. These things happen. Staff was very apologetic and gave us 2 extra drink tickets for our inconvenience. The rooms are quite small with no refrigerator or coffee maker. Attention to security was noted.

I get what they’re trying to do here but it’s not working. It’s kore of a college dorm; the regular rooms have no closet, there are weird iron stations on each floor, the check in it at the bar and the staff is not trained for a hotel. They were wonderful however, but just not a hotel feel. It’s a nice last minute place, the area is nice, parking is convenient, but just isn’t what you would think. They need a proper check in desk, it felt like you were at camp.

The staff was AMAZING and made our weekend get-away the best it could have been. Thank you!

The Moxy was great! Great facility and excellent service! My only complaint - absolutely terrible morning coffee. Lukewarm, weak taste, lids that didnt fit and powdered non-dairy creamer. Really?! Gross!

The hotel had a really cool vibe and was super nice. Housekeeping doesn’t come unless you request which is completely fine but I had to call down 3 times and waited over an hour for them to deliver towels to my room.

One of the worst check-in processes ever. Its the second time I have stayed at a Marriot owned hotel in Minneapolis. First was the Aloft which was a great hotel with poor service. This time was the Moxy. Wonderful concept for a modern hotel. Quiet, clean, comfortable. Great hotel if you can ever get checked in. I stood at the desk (which is also the bar) to get checked in for over 30 minutes. The staff never even acknowledged me. She was trying to make an Old Fashioned for a customer ans had to google how to make it. I asked a customer at the bar "Is this where we check in?" Yes they replied. The staff still never looked at me even when i called out to her. I then picked up the service phone (sign said pick up for service), no answer. I then called the hotel phone from my cell, the phone next to the staff rang and she never answered it. She was still focused on making the drink. She then told the customer she only had Jim Beam for whiskey. I clearly could see 10 different whiskies from Blantons to Uncle Nearest, etc. She obviously was in over her head. By the time she finally got to me almost 40 minutes had passed while my wife and 5 yr old waited in the car. I have yet to experience the check-out process which I have zero confidence in. Its a wondeful hotel, if you ever get checked in.

Great location, easy access to the train station. Place is very clean and you get a complimentary drink. I wish there was more to do in Minneapolis

Great spot near US Bank, easy onsite parking, trader joes and great dining an easy walk. Very safe, key card access for everything.

Great location if you are looking to explore the downtown mill area. Super walkable and very close to the metro at us bank stadium

Excellent location to US Bank Stadium

Excellent location! We went to a concert at U.S. Bank Stadium and it was only about 5 minutes walk away - that's hard to beat. We could also easily walk to Guthrie Theater and the Mill City Museum and, with luggage, to the airport train. Trader Joes and Starbucks on the corner. We enjoyed the room too except for the bed, which felt like a futon, the additional chair being backless and the refrigerator, which we requested special, being so tiny it could not hold more than like two bottles of water and certainly not leftovers. Still, overall really great due to location.

The Moxy is the perfect place to stay when going to a Vikings game. The stadium is literally just across the street.

Loved that this was so close to the Stone Arch bridge and pedestrian walking areas. There's a Trader Joe's across the street which is also very convenient. We'll be back!

Excellent location and perfect to get to see the city. Accessible from the airport via the tram. Trader Joes right across the street and a bunch lf restaurants within walking distance.

The staff was great. Helpful in every way possible. Trader Joes is right across the street which was very convenient. It would be nice if it had some bar food. But the rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet. A mini fridge in the room would be great.

Room was a little tight. No furniture. Bear minimum. Hot breakfast would have been nice. Pizza was the only food option.

Unfortunately when I clicked on the property through Expedia it was listed that there was breakfast provided and a pool however when we showed up there unfortunately there was neither

Location was good for our purpose, but very basic accommodations (no desk, no fridge, no dressers, no dining,) for that kind of price. Bar area was decent, and did offer individual size frizen pizza for a little under $20 each. Drinks ridiculously priced at $12 for a regular size tap beer.

The hotel was awesome. Great ambience and perfect location for a Vikings game. Close to the train. Only downside is there isn’t a restaurant with food at the hotel (the bar was great though). And not a lot of restaurant choices in the area. But there is a Trader Joe’s right across the street for room snacks! We had a great time!
