Perfect location in the center of Tulum beach nightlife and restaurants. Dayclub is the best on the beach. Dj is 2-6pm every day and on weekends they have a dj on the rooftop. Best stay in our 2 week trip to Tulum.

Great property, not busy, the staff is great! Ricardo was our waiter in the bar area and breakfast, he was superb, the grass was in, and the pool could use a bit of updating, but the property, the room, the food was absolutely amazing!

What a fabulous stay! We loved everything about Kanan. The property was gorgeous. Our ocean vibes suite was amazing. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We enjoyed the beach club, drinks in a nest, breakfast on the beach, a couples massage at the spa, and the nightly turndown service. Highly recommend rhis property. We loom forward to returning!

Hotel is pretty, very unique and in the best location. Food is good. Room service people are very nice but the office people not helpful, arrogant, dismissive. Warning.. music is so loud that u can’t really talk on the tanning beds or cabanas. It’s blasting from 10am to 6 pm. Some nights till midnight. U can hear music in your room. I didn’t think it will be this extreme. Beds are ok, but the pillows are hard like cardboard. Bathrooms are open, meaning there’s only glass covering middle part of the body, bottom and top is all open. Kinda like airport doors. U cant have privacy in the bathroom or shower, this is problematic if u travel with someone u dont want them to hear you taking number 1 or 2 lol. Also there is no elevator. And there’s many many steps to walk around the property, like 3 floors. Rooftop restaurant is on 4th floor. Definitely not for everyone. I wish I knew All this. That’s why I’m writing detailed review for others.

Loved our stay here, every part from check in to check out was seemless. The property has so many cool parts to explore and take photos, from the beach up to the bird nests. Service was great and prompt. Perfect location in the middle of the hotel zone on the strip. The rooms are spacious and well designed. The daily yoga class offered was great. The spa was a perfect option for a day that rained. Would definitely return!

Strangely designed boutique hotel. Everything is built up in the air in an almost treehouse style. Our room was huge and very pretty with an outside rickety staircase up to a “nest” where you could look out over the area (and get food). Beach here is beautiful and facilities in the same style. It is generally a bit tired looking but definitely cool.

The most beautiful experience , beautiful beach the room was so amazing , like a treehouse very nice and neat ,they have room service every day, staff is very helpful restaurant was also very good (everything is pricey but worth it! They have a beach bag for u with 2 towels to take it with u during the day and hang out , they have a lot of unique places in the beach to hang out, like nest, heart couches , swing areas , lounges all super aesthetic the pool is so beautiful and the spa/jacuzzi area is like if ur in a cenote .

Great music and lots of bass from 11am-1am. Pack your earplugs or find accommodations elsewhere. … you want to be looked after by the amazing beach club staff. Joel and his team were amazing. I believe we were checked in on every hour. … you want to enjoy delicious food in beautiful, breathtaking spaces. We enjoyed an amazing dinner in special ‘nests’ as the sun set and in the rooftop overlooking the ocean. … you want to enjoy shops and restaurants nearby. The resort is centrally located and walking distance to more than you can ever get to. … you enjoy beautiful, clean beaches perfectly suited for swimming, riding waves. … you like people watching. Gorgeous property, beautiful scenery, and the nicest, most lovely staff. We eat traveled, unfortunately when there was much seaweed on the beach, which is certainly not the fault of the hotel. However, there was much garbage strewn about the seaweed. If the seaweed is not going to be removed, then at the very least the garbage should be removed. To say you are an To say you are eco-friendly but not remove garbage simply just not make sense. Also, the wear and tear on things like the bathroom door handle and door room lock should be repaired. On the other hand, the accommodations were extremely comfortable, and the food was incredibly good.

Everything was very expensive! Creaky bed, leaky refrigerator in the room! I was still okay with everything above until the day we checked out. They told us to wait that they need to check the room before we left there! After while they said they’ll charge us $65 and I asked why. They said there is blood stain on the sheets. I couldn’t believe and asked if I go back to see it. Of course there wasn’t any blood stains

Kanan is the most picturesque hotel I've stayed at, comes alive when you hear the waves and breeze of Tulum. Unfortunately, once you arrive you'll quickly realize you're staying at a nightclub that has a hotel...not the other way around. The all day, overly loud music takes away any chance of fully relaxing and resting...even more so when they compete with the other beach club next door. Its torture. Pros: -Most unique looking hotel in Tulum -Clean, spacious rooms, ok view -Staff are good -Location is great Cons: -Music is loud, all day. Vibrates through the walls at 11:30pm. No peace and quiet here. -Price is one of the highest per night. -The club attracts outsiders who are just there for the day. They get drunk and high, and now you're sharing the limited spaces with them.

Our experience at Kanan was excellent - from the Front Desk Team, Concierge Team, and Service Team, especially Ariel! Room was great, property was clean and fun, location is ideal. We were on the 2nd floor and our room was facing the ocean, so we used our balcony a lot! Looking out over the resort was so beautiful. The staff was super friendly, the room was very clean and the tub was so cool!! We would definitely stay there again. We used the shuttle service the hotel offered from the airport to Tulum and back to the airport. Was very nice, they had a sign with our name on it when we got to the shuttle pick up at the airport. And for our return they were very prompt picking us up at the hotel. Kanan is a great place to stay I will be recommending it to my friends and family.

The property is stunning and the rooftop to the different nests is amazing! The view from the nest is unbelievable. Walkable to Hartwood, Casa Banana, Elios. Definitely this place is Instagram material but the downside is the room is outdated- the room needs serious updates for sure. The wooden in room tub is useless. We got a room with an ocean front view with balcony and we couldn’t enjoy the balcony as much as we wanted to. Wish they would’ve done more with the mosquitoes. For the price we payed per night, were expecting something more. Would not stay here again.

Das Hotel und die Zimmer sind sehr schön und sauber. Was uns störte war, dass keine Erholung möglich ist. Es ist jeden Tag bis 0 Uhr mindestens laute Musik. Morgens um 10 geht es dann weiter. Das schlimme, teilweise auch unterschiedlich, weil die Beach Clubs sehr nah nebeneinander sind. Die Musik kommt von den Beach Clubs und von der Straße draußen. Zimmer sind etwas hellhörig, daher hört man das auf jeden Fall. Die Gegend Tulum Beach ist eine absolute Party Meile, wer Erholung möchte, sollte besser in die Innenstadt und den Weg zum Strand auf sich nehmen. Sowie darauf achten, dass kein Spring Break ist! Das Essen in dieser Straße ist wirklich ABARTIG teuer. Daher besser in die Innenstadt fahren, sind ca. 15 Minuten von Tulum Beach. Generell zu erwähnen ist zudem noch, dass die Straßen eine Katastrophe sind, daher wenn ihr mit dem Auto kommt, auf jeden Fall mind. SUV

Kanan is the most picturesque hotel I've stayed at, comes alive when you hear the waves and breeze of Tulum. Unfortunately, once you arrive you'll quickly realize you're staying at a nightclub that has a hotel...not the other way around. The all day, overly loud music takes away any chance of fully relaxing and resting...even more so when they compete with the other beach club next door. Its torture. Hotel is pretty, very unique and in the best location. Food is good. Room service people are very nice but the office people not helpful, arrogant, dismissive. Warning.. music is so loud that u can’t really talk on the tanning beds or cabanas. It’s blasting from 10am to 6 pm. Some nights till midnight. U can hear music in your room. I didn’t think it will be this extreme. Beds are ok, but the pillows are hard like cardboard. Bathrooms are open, meaning there’s only glass covering middle part of the body, bottom and top is all open. Kinda like airport doors. U cant have privacy in the bathroom or shower, this is problematic if u travel with someone u dont want them to hear you taking number 1 or 2 lol. Also there is no elevator. And there’s many many steps to walk around the property, like 3 floors. Rooftop restaurant is on 4th floor. Definitely not for everyone. I wish I knew All this. That’s why I’m writing detailed review for others.

Strangely designed boutique hotel. Everything is built up in the air in an almost treehouse style. Our room was huge and very pretty with an outside rickety staircase up to a “nest” where you could look out over the area (and get food). Beach here is beautiful and facilities in the same style. It is generally a bit tired looking but definitely cool.

We were on the 2nd floor and our room was facing the ocean, so we used our balcony a lot! Looking out over the resort was so beautiful. The staff was super friendly, the room was very clean and the tub was so cool!! We would definitely stay there again. We used the shuttle service the hotel offered from the airport to Tulum and back to the airport. Was very nice, they had a sign with our name on it when we got to the shuttle pick up at the airport. And for our return they were very prompt picking us up at the hotel. Kanan is a great place to stay I will be recommending it to my friends and family.

Extremely beautiful hotel with lots of nature and amazing food. I love how it was right on the beach and the staff remembered my name and went the extra mile to make sure that my family and I were comfortable. My wife complained that the bathroom needed a little more privacy, but other than that the hotel was amazing and will forever be in my heart. You must try the tacos very much a staple for this beautiful hotel.

The property is stunning and the rooftop to the different nests is amazing! The view from the nest is unbelievable. Walkable to Hartwood, Casa Banana, Elios. Definitely this place is Instagram material but the downside is the room is outdated- the room needs serious updates for sure. The wooden in room tub is useless. We got a room with an ocean front view with balcony and we couldn’t enjoy the balcony as much as we wanted to. Wish they would’ve done more with the mosquitoes. For the price we payed per night, were expecting something more. Would not stay here again.

Our room was fantastic and the beach was beautiful – these were the two best parts of our stay. The service at the hotel, the attitude of the staff, the food was all extremely disappointing. We came to celebrate my husband’s birthday and I had been in touch with concierge services for a month and a half with several small requests such as decorating the room, cake and music at our welcoming dinner, et cetera and they did nothing. For the first night I let it go thinking maybe it was a lack of communication but that seemed to be the theme of our entire stay-anything we asked for, anything I had pre-booked was just forgotten about and the worst part was the attitude of the staff when we tried to follow up or ask for anything- it honestly seemed like we were a constant bother to them . We asked for an airport shuttle and they quoted the price at US$170 saying that taxis would cost more, we got a taxi for $100 on the Street outside the hotel. We asked for their help in making reservations and they just forgot in both instances. We asked for ice to be sent up to our room and staff lied and said they had been waiting outside of our room and we told them to come back in 10 minutes. The food at the beach bar and the karma restaurant were also terrible, but but we learned our lesson after two terrible meals in good news is there are plenty of great places to eat nearby. Overall would come to Tulum again but would definitely not stay at this hotel.

Gorgeous property, beautiful scenery, and the nicest, most lovely staff. We eat traveled, unfortunately when there was much seaweed on the beach, which is certainly not the fault of the hotel. However, there was much garbage strewn about the seaweed. If the seaweed is not going to be removed, then at the very least the garbage should be removed. To say you are an To say you are eco-friendly but not remove garbage simply just not make sense. Also, the wear and tear on things like the bathroom door handle and door room lock should be repaired. On the other hand, the accommodations were extremely comfortable, and the food was incredibly good.

What a fabulous stay! We loved everything about Kanan. The property was gorgeous. Our ocean vibes suite was amazing. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We enjoyed the beach club, drinks in a nest, breakfast on the beach, a couples massage at the spa, and the nightly turndown service. Highly recommend rhis property. We loom forward to returning!

You will be provided a little tour to the property and explained everything. They can suggest best bars and restaurants. They can make your reservations to other places too. Das Hotel und die Zimmer sind sehr schön und sauber. Was uns störte war, dass keine Erholung möglich ist. Es ist jeden Tag bis 0 Uhr mindestens laute Musik. Morgens um 10 geht es dann weiter. Das schlimme, teilweise auch unterschiedlich, weil die Beach Clubs sehr nah nebeneinander sind. Die Musik kommt von den Beach Clubs und von der Straße draußen. Zimmer sind etwas hellhörig, daher hört man das auf jeden Fall. Die Gegend Tulum Beach ist eine absolute Party Meile, wer Erholung möchte, sollte besser in die Innenstadt und den Weg zum Strand auf sich nehmen. Sowie darauf achten, dass kein Spring Break ist! Das Essen in dieser Straße ist wirklich ABARTIG teuer. Daher besser in die Innenstadt fahren, sind ca. 15 Minuten von Tulum Beach. Generell zu erwähnen ist zudem noch, dass die Straßen eine Katastrophe sind, daher wenn ihr mit dem Auto kommt, auf jeden Fall mind. SUV

Loved our stay here, every part from check in to check out was seemless. The property has so many cool parts to explore and take photos, from the beach up to the bird nests. Service was great and prompt. Perfect location in the middle of the hotel zone on the strip. The rooms are spacious and well designed. The daily yoga class offered was great. The spa was a perfect option for a day that rained. Would definitely return!

Great music and lots of bass from 11am-1am. Pack your earplugs or find accommodations elsewhere. … you want to be looked after by the amazing beach club staff. Joel and his team were amazing. I believe we were checked in on every hour. … you want to enjoy delicious food in beautiful, breathtaking spaces. I loved staying here. The staff were excellent, so helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the beach and DJs. The food was fresh and delicious. The rooms were very cool. I loved the whole layout of the place - the nests and treehouse vibe. We ate at the rooftop restaurant for dinner one night - it was incredible and we saw so many stars. I would definitely recommend and go back myself.

Gorgeous, incredible hotel! Every little touch was incredible. We didn't want to leave the hotel. The food at the restaurants was amazing as well

One of the Best places to stay in the hotel zone. All the restaurants are walking distance. There are only 25 rooms and over 40 day beds and several nest beds. The food is amazing and service was impeccable

Dinner under the stars in the nests is amazing. And definitely do the mezcal tasting. That’s a Mayan journey for sure.

Gorgeous property, beautiful scenery, and the nicest, most lovely staff. We eat traveled, unfortunately when there was much seaweed on the beach, which is certainly not the fault of the hotel. However, there was much garbage strewn about the seaweed. If the seaweed is not going to be removed, then at the very least the garbage should be removed. To say you are an To say you are eco-friendly but not remove garbage simply just not make sense. Also, the wear and tear on things like the bathroom door handle and door room lock should be repaired. On the other hand, the accommodations were extremely comfortable, and the food was incredibly good.

What a fabulous stay! We loved everything about Kanan. The property was gorgeous. Our ocean vibes suite was amazing. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We enjoyed the beach club, drinks in a nest, breakfast on the beach, a couples massage at the spa, and the nightly turndown service. Highly recommend rhis property. We loom forward to returning!

The property is at a great location, has a good beach club, good restaurants having a great view. The food we had tasted great as well, the drinks not so much. The hotel staff are very welcoming and helpful. If you are an inspiring instagram influencer then the hotel has great places for amazing pictures. There were a few negatives like the music being loud for you to sleep during the night, the room structure, and also it felt a bit claustrophobic at times with too many things around you

Best experience, I had an amazing room, the guy at the front desk gave me a better room wen I didnt like my first room .. honestly this place is a dream tree house love the bath tubs, loved everything about tulum including this place

The WORST hotel ever! Had a TERRIBLE experience after my partners passport/personal items went missing! (No cameras in the hotel). We reported to the front desk twice and they kept telling us there was nothing they can do. The next day we came across a police officer on the property and asked about filing a report so we can take it to the US embassy. Police officer went to investigate with the front receptionist and by a miracle the passport showed up. Which meant the passport was still on the property in the very hands of the front receptionist. She was very rude and untrustworthy. We checked out on the second day for safety reasons. They didn’t want to refund us the nights we didn’t stay. The least they could have done was refund our nights we didn’t stay. PLS STAY FAR away from this hotel. Their scammers!!!

This hotel is absolutely beautiful very peaceful and serene design. The food was amazing and the staff were nice and helpful. The only negative I would have to say is that it’s a very loud hotel. There is music that starts at 10:30 AM into the evening from not only the hotel, but the neighboring hotels. There isn’t a mention of a bar in the listing, but the restaurant does play loud music nightly so if you’re looking for that party vibe, this is a great place to be!

I absolutely love this hotel. It was one of a kind the most unique experience. The hotel was stunning. We fell in love. I definitely can’t think Fidel, Ismael and the crew at The Beach club. They made our trip beyond memorable. I love them so much. I wish I could send them letters every so often to keep in touch! They were awesome ppl with outstanding customer service !!

This jungle chic hotel, with its many quaint seating pods on the rooftops, made our stay very interesting. There were only two negatives to note. The music from the neighbouring hotel was far too loud during both the day and the evening. Unfortunately, the staff at Kanan increased the volume of their speakers to counteract the noise from next door, which only made the situation worse. Additionally, the price of cocktails was similar to central London, which came as a bit of a shock.
