Just spent one night. I definitely love the sparkling water dispenser!!! I used the gym and the pool. The pool was very cold but it worked because I needed an ice bath after work. Staff was friendly and guests were nice.

Finally a decent hotel in Virginia for a great price. The pool was immaculate. The rooms were clean. The hotel staff were normal and super nice ladies. We travel south a few times a year from New York and it’s hard to find a decent hotel in Virginia where the star ratings actually match the quality of the hotel. Other hotels have good ratings but when you get there it’s in shambles with dirty pools and moldy bathrooms. Not this hotel. I finally have a perfect half way point from NY to South Carolina

Great for an overnight stop! Clean, inexpensive, bed was comfy and the showers were hot! Good location with plenty of options for dining! Loved the availability of fresh ground coffee at all hours and sparkling water! Bravo!

Check in was great. W couldnt get in the pool the next morning, which was the purpose of the trip for my 13 yo. front desk was supposed to call once we could, never did, i had to end up calling down there, which led to the purpose of the trip not being fulfilled

This hotel was very clean and nice! They had excellent coffee and an amazing breakfast. We were traveling in a big rig and it had accommodating parking! The hotel bed was very comfortable. The staff was exceptionally friendly! This hotel was the best hotel we have stayed at thus far and we have stayed in tons. Courtney at the front desk was so helpful and so sweet! I will be using this hotel for all my employees and business conferences in the future. WORTH EVERY PENNY!

We truly enjoyed our stay it was clean, the room and bathroom were clean. Love that they provided dove body wash. The breakfast was okay, I love the 24 hr coffee. My son & daughter were happy to be able to get in a quick workout in the gym. I would stay at this hotel again!

Staff were extremely helpful. Room was comfortable. Having and indoor pool, which is mainly why I chose the hotel was not heated and jets didn't work. It appeared to have skin cells floating around and wasn't filtered.

This hotel is very modern, very clean, and the service was excellent. Their breakfast bar had a huge choice and we loved the coffee made with fresh ground beans. It was also pet friendly and their pet fee was half of what other hotels in the area charged, making it an economical choice as well.

Stayed about 4 months ago & thought it was excellent so decide to stay again. The shower floor was dirty &; one of the towels had a dirt spot. Hand soap was empty. All things that could be easily fixed.

There was dried blood on our mattress cover clearly visible through the sheets. We had to ask the staff for clean bedding and change the mattress cover and sheets ourselves as no staff was available to do so. The evening desk attendants said they would notify the manager but the manager never contacted us nor did she addressed the issue. We did not stay the second evening of our weekend 2 night reservation (checked out late afternoon on Saturday) but were billed full price for both nights without any concessions or consideration. We have enjoyed previous stays at IHG hotels but this experience has is rethinking any future bookings.

Hotel was okay. For the price I was surprised by the size and condition of the room. It was clean but there was nowhere to put your clothes (no closet, drawers, etc). We were there for multiple nights so it would have been nice to have somewhere to put our bags and things. It felt cramped with a family of four. Also, there were some people hanging out in the lobby and in the outdoor seating area who I was uncertain if they were patrons of the hotel. They were smoking very close to the entrance.

The hotel is nice and clean, and new. It is definitely a very simplistic property.... My wife's only things she did not like, there were no coffee makers in the bedrooms... But there was coffee town in the lobby... My only complaint would be. I would like heavier pillows on one's are so soft and fluffy....

Jesse at the front desk exemplifies what great customer service should be. He took his time & explained everything. He signed me up to become a rewards member. He was great. Breakfast was minimal but warm & well stocked for the items they did have. I'm a coffee drinker & they had all day coffee so that was fantastic. Not having a microwave in the room sucked. Everything was great until the last morning - I had a early flight, so I prescheduled my Uber for 7:15 - I was running little behind. When getting out of the shower I seen what looked to be a Roach crawl from under the sink. At that point I got dressed quickly & left. No one was at the desk at the time & My uber was waiting. I would suggest getting the rooms sprayed more often. That really bothered me.

Very contemporary style accommodation. Clean and sleek. Unfortunately, there were a number of small holes in the ceiling above the bed from previous overnight visitors- perhaps hitting the ceiling because of noise in the room above. Bad sound proofing - could hear walking back and forth above us in early morning.

Excellent all the way around - accomodations and staff! The guests in the room above me sounded like they were continuously moving furniture around and stomping on the floor, but that's not related to the accomadations. I even saw signs in the elevator regarding a noise policy, so it was on me to call the front desk and I didn't.

The lady that checked me in was so sweet and very helpful but when I checked out the hostess was on the phone never spoke truly ignoring that I was at the counter then turn around went behind the cubbyhole never asking did I need help or anything… oh I almost forgot the fire alarm was going off around 8 am scaring the life out me with no staff directing on what to do… total chaos

Arrived at the hotel after 4 hours of drive. Upon arrival, I was told at the reception that the only room they had left available was the king size bedroom. This is after we had already PAID for 2 queen size beds, well in advance. What's the point of booking and paying in advance if they cannot hold the reservation? We were left looking for place to stay in the middle of nowhere. And the lady at the counter was rude as heck. I would never every choose this hotel in the future.

It's a decent place to stay if you need to be nearby. Located next to a somewhat run down trailer park and busy intersection it will have have the most aesthetically pleasing surroundings. Overall it's fine. One thing is that the breakfast has no freshly-made food - much of the hot stuff is pre-packaged/re-heated. So if you want a nice plate of scrambled eggs and bacon in the morning this place is not for you.

A very nice, clean, friendly hotel. The only recommendation I have is that they stay on the refills of the continental breakfast. They opened at 6:30 and when we got there (6:40) they were out of cream cheese and no sausage. Next day when we got there same time they didn’t have any spoons. Other than that definitely a place will we return to for up and coming events

Avid has a modern look compared to Hampton Inn or the other known hotels. Breakfast was good. They had sandwiches, fruit, oatmeal and bagels. Coffee and tea was 24/7 which was nice. I could hear the people on the floor above us. So keep that in mind. It wasn't a deal breaker. You checkout on your tv when you're ready. I'd definitely stay at another Avid hotel.

There were kids in the hotel running around, yelling at each other and being rambunctious at 9:30pm while I was checking in making it very uncomfortable for us. The girl working the front desk did not say anything to them. The only microwave in the building is downstairs in the lobby so we weren’t able to heat the food we’d brought. The breakfast set out in the morning was very disappointing as well.. no bagels, orange juice dispenser needed to be changed. Honestly the worst hotel experience I’ve had in a while.
