Our room was good just the bathroom vent was broke so the humidity was ridiculous in there. The pool was very dirty so we didn’t use it at all. Breakfast was great my family like it and we loved the area.

Disappointing trip. First, an oceanview room is a glimpse of the ocean and moatly an empty parking lot. Stayed on the 3rd floor, ice machine was not working, went to the 1st floor, that ice machine was not working either. Tiny balcony with 1 chair only. Parking, which is not free, is down the block and across the street. Parkng garage elevator was not working either. Breakfast was the usual, nothing special, room is small, 1 chair, and a small lounger couch thing. Bed made a metallic clanging aound when turning over in bed. First and last stay at this property. Room 320 tried to upload pic but app not working.

The elevator floor had puddles of water from children running in and out from the pool and it was a hazard. The tv had basic channels. You can’t order movies or log into prime or Netflix like other hotels so it made staying in boring. Especially if you have kids. It’s miserable. And to have to pay $16 to park was the straw that broke the camels back. I’m for the lack of tv entertainment alone parking should be free. This was my LAST time staying at a Holiday Inn Express.

Parking is not included. There was a major plumbing issue which then caused us to leave our room during a portion of the day. There was no consideration for this inconvenience. The pool is not heated.

Staff friendly When door closed to go in and out there is no seal. You can look outside or someone can look in the room. Air conditioner was so very noisy all night long. I must say that the bed was very comfortable. The water inside the shower was amazing and the dove products were great. I know you probably have heard this before but the parking across the street is so not safe and not except-able. With women going over to the parking lot alone.

It started with a $15 per night parking fee that was not listed on Hotels.com for a parking garage across the street. You’re given a QR code to scan to enter and leave that works when it wants to, usually after several attempts. The elevator on the garage didn’t work. The hotel is very clean, the pool area is decent but the pool closing nightly at 9pm is a little ridiculous being outside near the beach and a vacation spot. Hotel elevators are very slow and hot, my biggest complaint are the hot hallways. Two small vents on each side putting out not very cool air, I asked the front desk the first night and it never got fixed. It seriously felt like it was 80 degrees.

My main complaint is the dirty floor in the room. After walking barefoot, the sole of my feet was black. The faux wood flooring masks the dirt very well. I'm unsure when the last time the floor saw a wet mop.... It should be done after each guest at minimum. I was in the room during room service and the floor was only swept. There are now very convenient devices that brush hard surfaces and suck up the dirty water. A must here! Besides that it is a nice property.

The staff was great- very helpful and friendly. The A/C in our room never came on and the walls were paper thin. The view, however, was great. We could see our ship from one of our rooms. The room and bathroom were very clean, as was the breakfast area. Excellent value for the price.

We booked a standard room with a balcony. Although it had an ocean view, there was a large dumpster on that side of the hotel. The smell from the dumpster made it unbearable to be on the balcony. Also, the dumpster truck comes around 7:30am and then again around 9:30am with continuous beeping noise (approx. 10 minutes) both times. Also, it is true - the rooms have a faint unpleasant smell like cat pee that comes from the air conditioning units.

The only problem I had was that you could hear everything on each side of you. I spent 2 hours in the middle of thw night listening to someone call their partner in the middle of throwing up. Doesn't make for a good night sleep.

The room itself was very nice and clean. The view of the ocean was beautiful and it was nice having a balcony. The room was supposed to be ready by 4pm but it was not ready until 430. The tv wasn’t working and it took about an hour for someone to come and fix it. The couch had stains on it. The breakfast was not great. The juice machine was neat but the food itself was mediocre. The coffee was excellent though. The worst part is that you have to pay $15 a night to park there. Why would I pay to park at a hotel that I’m paying $250 a night to stay in? They also charge $4 for a bottle of soda. I expected a upcharge but doubling the price is really excessive. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful though.

Check-in was painful. We arrived at 4pm, check-in time. There were no rooms available, people were piled up in groups everywhere. They were not sure when our room would be ready. We finally got in about 5:45. We had dinner reservations we almost missed. Staff was really stressed, but they did their best. Room was nice and clean, but halls were pretty dirty.

Check In at 4:00 lol, never happened and wasn’t even close. Walked in just before 4:00 to about a dozen pissed off people. When we tried to check in we were told “we try to get people in at that time, sorry”. Then when asked how long, couldn’t give us an answer. Then we were told we could store our luggage but wasn’t “guarded”. About 9:00pm we made it to our room only to get a call saying we need to come back down because they forgot to ask for a CC for incidentals. Total cluster, kids running around everywhere screaming and yelling at 1:00am and desk says “we’ve had lots of complaints” but didn’t do anything. Sad too because the room was great and so close to the Spot and the Beach

Property check in on website says 4pm, however I called around 2 to see if we could get early check in. They said no, they were still cleaning and that it would be normal check in time. I said ok, got there at 4:10, staff member says it will probably be another hour or more until we can get in our room because of max capacity night before?? We were coming from out of town, exhausted from drive, no prior heads up that check in would be later than our reservation stated. Staff did not offer anything to make it better or to compromise for my family of 5 waiting for our room in the lobby for over an hour. They said they’d call when the room was ready, did not call, had to keep checking with front desk and finally it was ready. Super inconvenient!! Other than that, it was clean and easy walk to the beach. Probably wouldn’t come back because of the lack of communication regarding check in.
Property check in on website says 4pm, however I called around 2 to see if we could get early check in. They said no, they were still cleaning and that it would be normal check in time. I said ok, got there at 4:10, staff member says it will probably be another hour or more until we can get in our room because of max capacity night before?? We were coming from out of town, exhausted from drive, no prior heads up that check in would be later than our reservation stated. Staff did not offer anything to make it better or to compromise for my family of 5 waiting for our room in the lobby for over an hour. They said they’d call when the room was ready, did not call, had to keep checking with front desk and finally it was ready. Super inconvenient!! Other than that, it was clean and easy walk to the beach. Probably wouldn’t come back because of the lack of communication regarding check in.

When I checked in I informed the front desk I paid online he said he saw that however he had me use my card for accidental fees which was 200 i saw a sign that said 25 so I asked him again he said yes. The room was super nice right by the beach. However when I checked my account I was charged twice he charged me for the room. I called and the lady who fixed it was not so pleasant I even asked her could she refund me for my two waters she said only one. Still 4 days later and I’m waiting on my refund for being double charged. The front desk needs to charge guest correctly and pay attention if guest paid online prior to checking in.

We stayed here the day before our cruise and for 3 days after our cruise. When we got back from the cruise, we were there at 4pm when checkin started. We were told to check back in 10 minutes, 2 different times and each time they told us the room wasnt ready yet. It was the 4th time going up that I asked if the room was ready and if not, I wanted to cancel my reservation. At 4:45 we finally got to our room. Come to find out they were painting doorways and that is why we couldnt get our room on time. By the time we were able to check in they had a lobby full of people. I pay for a service and expect it yo be ready at its intended time. If a hotel is doing renovations of some sort, they need to keep their paying customers in mind. The pool gate was broken so you couldnt get in on one side, they didnt have bowls for breakfast and offered laundry but was told I needed to go down the road for quarters. There are many hotel options when cruising out of Galveston and I do not recommend this hotel. Their staff and people overseeing that hotel were there and made no remedy for a late check in or even said sorry for the inconvenience. I read bad reviews of staffing issues after I had booked and didnt think we would have an issue but we did. You can go down the road a half mile and stay at 4 to 5 different hotel chains that have better ratings.

Went to front desk around 9pm to ask for towels woke up the next morning still no towels. Asked again for towels at breakfast and desk said we will put in a ticket and I checked out at 11 am with no towels. Son wanted to sleep on the pull out couch and pull the couch out to no linen on the bed and none in the room for the bed

Has I know the parking was a garage a block away I wouldn’t have chose this hotel.It was unsafe and an inconvenience.There wasn’t enough seating for breakfast,the food items that were available weren’t great and limited bc of so many people. Overall for the price I paid compared to what I got I wouldn’t stay here again.

We stayed here for the convenient location and that was great. We could walk to many places from the location. The room was clean. A/C was amazing. There were some tiles coming up on the floor that needed tending too. Breakfast was the disappointing part. We got there around 9 and most food was gone and never refilled. Coffe also was gone and never replenished. Trash was falling all in the floor because the cans were full. Two workers walked around clueless and never did anything.

I guess my biggest issue was some mornings there wasn’t enough breakfast and a lot of people were standing lines waiting for more to come, so there never seemed to be enough food for the volume of people that were staying there. There were flies lingering around, during breakfast, from I’m assuming, the sliding glass door entrances constantly opening and closing.

We loved our stay here. Breakfast was good except the juice was like tang juice not real juice. Loved the new coffee machine. The only thing I can think of is they need better carts to take your luggage in/out and a water or lemon water on the table with the mint bowl. Our balcony had a view of the beach and the pier which was very nice. Also, the restaurant next-door “The Spot” was very good, but very busy and they do deliver to your room, which was excellent. Thank you.

There were fans in the hallways, it was was definitely warm and extremely loud, luckily couldn't hear it in the room. The one gentleman working the desk at night was extremely rude and not very helpful but the day crew was fabulous. The location is great, the rooms were clean and the breakfast had a lot of options.
