This hotel was fine. A few things to know: 1. We arrived 30 minutes prior to check in, advised our room was ready but would be charged around $30 for the 30 minutes. 2. There is no service elevator. We felt bad for employees trying to work while hauling large containers of produce or laundry. Hence elevator wait times can be very long. 3. When we first exited the elevator on our floor, I thought it was still under construction due to the bare concrete walls. Our room was fine but no carpet, a rug by the bed and concrete (slightly polished) floors everywhere else. Was ok but definitely not a welcoming entrance to the room. Our view was wonderful ( better views 12th floor & higher. 4. A great shower 5, Upon arrival, we were offered a cold water bottle or a cold adult beverage at check in. Nice touch. We enjoyed the beverage. 6. The bar on the third floor was wonderful and offered tasty appetizers.

The hotel is in a good area to walk to multiple places during the stay. The hotel has valet but the garage/ parking area isn’t on property with the hotel. It’s a 2 minute walk away. Police were on high patrol and families were still out walking around late night so I didn’t feel too bad walking at night. There is q cvs within a 4 minute walk. Quick access to the river walk . There’s no pool on site but there is a area people could put their feet in on the bar floor. Gordy night the shower didn’t drain. Front desk gave option to wait for maintenance or move rooms, we moved. The remaining stay went well. The food want that great at the Domingo restaurant but the drinks at the bar was good.

Great location with easy access to Riverwalk. Room was spacious with nice shower. Great terrace bar/lounge with nice view. Staff was very helpful during our stay. Only get a cooler drawer instead of actual fridge. No store or vending for drinks or snacks but options are close by.

Booked a hotel for double queen. When I got there. They said they didn’t have anymore and the only reason why the website allowed me to book is because there was one room that the manager had blocked off but the website thinks it was available. They ended giving it to me. Once I got to the room. The toilet had poop stains, hair in the sink and hair on the pillow cases. Don’t think the room was cleaned properly. I called front desk and they said they could give me two king rooms but they are not connected. I was with my husband and two kids. It was a huge inconvenience. We came to have a family weekend and it was such a disappointment. Definitely will not stay here again. Dirty bathroom and pillow cases unacceptable.

We enjoyed theblocation of the property. Everything was walking distance. Staff was friendly and room was clean. The only negative we experienced is there was a farm door which appeared to be broken because it wouldnt close which i would had preferred since our room location was by the elevators. And could have helped cancel out the noise. Overall we still enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the toiletries of good quality. There were 2 problems: 1. The handle on the sliding door fell off under normal use. It was extremely heavy, and missed my foot by a hair. 2. The thermostat did not respond when we tried to change the temperature.

Great location on the River Walk. Very nice room. Hotel was very quiet but there was a little street noise even on the 15th floor. No more than expected on a weekend in a city. Room very solid and clean. Both hotel bars we visited were fun and the drinks were good. Overall, really nice place.

The place is pretty nice though it gets kind of loud in the evening. The rooms feel rather soul less though so it’d be nice if they added something more to the space. The tv was pretty annoying, couldn’t cast my computer or iPad to it and there were limited options for things to watch so I ended up using my iPad instead.

Unfortunately staff failed miserably at this property. Cleaning staff skipped cleaning room because they had too many to clean, reception staff didn’t care about issues, hostess staff in restaurant were rude, bartenders acted like we owed them a favor for being there. Only 3rd floor bar host was up to par and provided excellent service. Everyone else on staff was disappointing except maybe valets. Wouldn’t recommend this property.

I had an excellent experience at the Canopy by Hilton San Antonio. Although my first night started with a slight hiccup due to the hotel being overbooked, the manager went above and beyond to assist me. They not only found me accommodations at another hotel but also covered the cost, which was a true testament to their commitment to guest satisfaction. The following day, I was able to check in early without any issues, and my stay from that point on was flawless. The room was impeccably clean, the restaurants and bar were fantastic, and the staff was consistently friendly and attentive. I even extended my stay for two extra nights because I enjoyed it so much. The valet staff was excellent. Chandler was so helpful! The front desk personal were not friendly. We were not greeted as we approached the desk even after a greeting was given to them. Information about the room rate/ valet service was not clear and further inquiries were required to get the needed information. One staff member was on her phone the entire time. Quite a disappointing experience.

I had a profoundly disappointing SHORT stay at the Canopy where I originally booked a 4-night visit to San Antonio for a family graduation. I am Active duty military and had to travel later than intended and Despite prepaying for my room for the 4-night stay, upon arrival the next day, I was charged an additional $50 early check-in fee due to a no-show status, which I felt was unfair and unnecessary since I had already paid in advance. The room itself did not meet my expectations, especially when compared to other hotels I have stayed at in the area. Frustrated with the situation, I decided to leave and sought a refund, but the hotel staff, including the manager, showed a lack of compassion and refused to issue any refund, only offering to waive the early check-in fee. Apparently the way I booked caused the room to be non-refundable, BUT we all know hotels have enough money to issue a refund IF they want. Overall, I felt unwelcome and dissatisfied with the service, leading to a strong resolve never to return to the Canopy on the San Antonio Riverwalk.

This is a great choice for anyone visiting San Antonio. Perfect location right next to the Riverwalk, nice rooms, and friendly staff. There is a also a great restaurant and bar in the hotel, noth overlooking the Riverwalk. The valet parking is more expensive than it should be but I guess that's probably the case for most downtown hotels. Definitely recommended!

Loved our stay! Attended a concert at The Aztec Theatre, which is directly across the street so, for the purpose of our visit, the location was perfect. Our room was super clean, the bed was comfortable. The 3rd floor bar as well as the restaurant have great atmosphere & are on the river walk. Very pleased & will return next time we need to stay in downtown San Antonio.

Room was very nice, comfortable, and quiet. We enjoyed the 3rd floor bar, and had a wonderful breakfast at their river walk restaurant. Service level from everyone we encountered was very professional. If you’re there on the weekend and would like to eat dinner there, you will need to make reservations in advance. We also parked a block away for less expensive parking.

The Canopy by Hilton was a great stay - along the River-walk in San Antonio. The staff was very accommodating and the onsite restaurant was one of the best on the River (both breakfast and dinner) I would recommend this property if downtown San Antonio is your destination.

The staff was great. Had only valet parking but expensive. Had only concrete floors in the room which I thought was weird. Hotel was right by the River Walk which was why we chose it. That was an experience. Hotel restaurant menu did not offer many selections so we didn’t eat there even for breakfast which was inconvenient.
