Property seems run down.

Some outside door not close.looking not safe need more outside lights to dark

The flower beds near the building are overgrown with weeds. There was some trash in the parking lot. The "Free Breakfast" was very lacking with limited options.

While the room was clean and comfortable, poor security raised potential problems. While walking down to our room, we noticed other room doors slightly propped open, as was our room door. We briefly wondered if the room was even ready or someone else was in the room. Also, the outside security doors that you "should" have to use a room key to get in did not work properly. Door #1 was not locked at all and door #2 card reader was broken, would not read atr all, therefore the door was left propped open, potentially allowing a non-guest to sneak into the building. How do we know someone didn't get into one of the open clean rooms and use the bathroom or take a nap on the bed? Can you see how this could happen? The room price was great, the room was clean and comfortable, but for safety reasons we're not sure if we would stay there again. Sincerely, Mat and Terri Wellnitz Big Rapids, MI

Beds and pillows were comfortable- room was decently clean. Trash all around property outside and halls/floors in common area were pretty dirty. If i was making decisions about staying based on things outside the room i would not stay. Good for a night

Too much trash in the parking lot. Wild weeds in the front and sides. Coffee Machine was broken. Staff did give us Coffee bags. Signage very poor and a dangerous intersection by a major road and I 75. They ran out of Milk and bread quickly.

The grounds and the doors make the hotel look abandoned. Our sliding door had no screen and broken drapes that wouldn't close completely. They put minimal items out for breakfast. By 7:30 everything was gone. They are very stingy with towels. Floors were filthy. The family that owns the hotel gather in the lobby in the evenings. I went to the front desk for towels and they looked at me like i wasn't allowed to be there. The hallways smell like smoke and old food.

The outside of the property was not taken care of. Weeds were tall, and garbage was in weeds. Parking lot was not taken care of. There was a whiskey bottle underneath my parking. Like I’ve been there for a while. A diaper was out there. Breakfast area didn’t look the greatest. Please

The room was surprisingly nice looking at first. Unfortunately that didn't last once my eyes adjusted. The room was filthy, hair on the shower walls, dirt on the floor, and a dirty plate under the tv stand (found that when trying to get the tv to work, the cable was unplugged)

The first room they gave me appeared to have not been cleaned. Wrinkled pillowcases, spots on the bed sheets, spider webs with the spider in it. Dirty bathroom. Asked for another room. Was better but not great.

Found smeared blood stain on both sides of the bathroom door in our hotel room. We left right away and the hotel manager had the audacity to tell Expedia that I never informed the staff and that I actually stayed the whole night in that room… also found dried stains on the bed sheets and comforter with a broken lock to the sliding glass door in the back…

The hotel had a distinct smell of pot and trash. The room looked clean and updated, but the curtain to balcony was covered in stains. The mattress protector was also covered in stains. We had towels sent to our room and they weren't clean. There were also spots on the wall. Definitely not family friendly. Will not recommend or return. Only stayed because we were in a pinch

It was very dirty. The towels, pillow cases and sheets were all stained. One of the blankets on the bed had a large hole in it. On more than one wall you could see where something was spilled in the wall and was never cleaned up. There was garbage left on the grass by the parking lot. My boys went outside to play catch and found used dirty needles. The breakfast that was offered was very minimal.

There are too many things. Floor was so filthy my son and husbands feet were black. Outlets would not hold plugs. Screen ripped. Lights half of them did not work. Garbage cans and bathroom was filthy

I was there 3 days. The lobby smelled musty. The carpet is rolled in spots that my suit cases were difficult to roll freely. There was a leak in the hallway to the lobby they were catching with 2 buckets. My room was booked for 2 adults though I traveled solo and it was stocked with only 2 towels 2 was clothes and 2 hand towels. 4 is standard for 2 adults. So I figured they would restock me daily with that. My first morning waking I see my room was also only stocked with decaffeinated coffee. So I walked to the lobby where the breakfast was. I asked for regular and was begrudgingly given 4 when I asked for 5 or 6. Breakfast consisted of yogurt, waffles, fruity pebbles or raisin bran. Not really appeasing. I leave for the day and when I come back to my room for the evening nothing restocked. So I'm like ok tomorrow. I leave for the day and even see a maid crew in the room across from me so I again figured I would be taken care of. Come back and still nothing. I also could not believe how filthy the floor in my room was. Walking bare foot and my feet would be black with in moments of exiting my shower. The sliding door had only 1 lock functioning as well. There was spiders at all the entrances as well.

Had no idea the condition of the hotel would be so poor in and out. Found a gross stain in the sheets. Places next to the pillows. We decided to immediately pack up and leave the facility. Was not clean enough for children. Walls were filthy as well. Front desk was apologetic but later manager refused to refund even with pictures and clear evidence. Hotels.com did their best to help us and refunded half our room rate.

The room itself wasn’t too bad. It was dirty, you can tell they don’t do any kind of deep clean whatsoever. Disgusting under the beds were dust bunnies and trash and hair..the halls were pretty nasty, dirty carpet that needs vacuumed and walls could use a good clean. They do not to housekeeping unless you ask. You have to go to the front office to get clean towels. Half the time they aren’t at the desk. The clean towels take 40 mins to wash and dry before you’ll get them. The rooms had a musty stinch to them. The first room I was in the tv didn’t work so my family was moved to another room. My sister also stayed at the same time and her first room had no heat whatsoever. She was also moved into a second room. Overall, the place is dirty.

The room was disgusting. The bedding was sketchy. Heater/ac unit that didn't work. Dust behind every nook and cranny. Hole in the wall. The couch looked like it was salvaged from the dump. The bathroom was decent minus hair in the tub of unknown orgin. You couldn't pay me to stay again. We left a full day early and stayed elsewhere. Lesson learned.

Very noisy with major highway right next to the facility and they obviousely did nothing to mitigate the noise level when it was built. Truck traffic woke me up all night so I left at 4:30am!

The staff were friendly and easy check in. The room itself was about what you would expect from a cheaper hotel. The TV in the room had lines in about half the screen. Mostly went away over the course of a couple hours but some remained all the time. Bathroom was clean and well stocked, we also had no problem getting extra towels as we had 4 people in the room. Beds were comfortable but could use some new pillows. All in all it was a nice stay though and I would stay there again.

Air did not work. I informed them and nothing was done. No maid service but it was inexpensive.

Enjoyed the stay outside could been cleaner. Some the lights in room didn't work.room had whole in wall and paint chipping everywhere. It was relaxing enjoyed the stay bed wasn't all that comfy and pillows were wore out

The room was large. So was the king size bed. There was no TV remote control in the room. The choice of tv networks was large but no premium networks like HBO was offered. The last night of my stay the tv connection was lost. There was no maid service so the bed was never made. I appreciated the complimentary breakfast. It was very simple. I would have appreciated a banana to put on my dry cereal. Maybe a sweet roll. Excellent location. I attended a photography workshop in Bay City, MI. Was able to reach the venue in only 10’. I wasn’t happy with a 2nd floor room. I would have liked to see an ice machine on the 2nd floor. Overall, a good experience.

We had a initial hicup with the microwave and fridge not working but was attended immediately by the person at the reception. Breakfast had waffle, bread, apples, yogurt, milk and coffee. They accept the deposit amount (100 USD) in cash. Overall our 2night stay was good for the price we paid.

Old hotel, that's partially been updated. Exterior and interior stairs were worn, but at first glance room was updated nicely - quartz countertops in the bathroom, etc. However, despite that effort, it wasn't great. Wall paint was on the metal door trim, along with some sheetrock mud, the marble transition between the bathroom and the rest of the room was filthy, the drapes were only attached to the roof on one side, and looked damaged, the screen to the balcony only opened partially, etc. My main problem is the billing. I reserved one night. A week before arriving needed to add another to it. Called and was told it was unavailable. Easily booked the extra night on hotels.com. At check in, young woman was too busy talking on her earbuds to explain this to her. Got about 6 emails early the next morning when the hotel realized I had two reservations (one Thursday night, one Friday). No one at the front desk Friday morning. Called the posted number and had a conversation where we had some trouble understanding each other, but was assured that they had it straight. When returning that night finally met someone helpful at the front desk. Explained how I'd ended up with two reservations (one per night) and asked if they had been merged. He checked their system for quite a while and assured me that the two reservations had simply been merged by them. No one had cleaned the room during the day. Now I see we were charged double for the 2nd night. Disputing the charge.

1 of beds wasnt made, when we check the beds (we do at all hotels regardless of stars) there was food crumbs all over the sheet and floor. Bathroom had dried booger on wall, remote control had no battery cover on it nor did it work, window wasnt cleaned, wall outlet covers were off, dont like how there is no one at front desk (in my opinion, it lowers the security).

The reception lady was always on the phone, paying minimal attention to the client's needs.

I checked into this hotel and immediately checked back out. I booked a non smoking room but the room reaked of smoke. The pillow cases were dirty, the wash clothes were dirty, and there were no towels in our bathroom. The continental breakfast was covered in crumbs and spilled liquids despite checking in 5 hours after the breakfast bar was operating. The front desk employee told me to reach out for a refund through hotels.com but now the property won't approve a refund. Save yourself the time, money, and stress, dont stay here.

Courteous staff

O really like this property it’s cheaper on the budget but worth it. It’s close to other food options its center ally located. Pet friendly, and the staff is really nice and hard working

- Front staff woman was on the phone with someone else while she processed our check in. She was polite enough, but distracted talking to someone else when guests are coming to check in. - There were no towels and no soap in our room. Went to the woman at the front to request these. She said towels were in the dryer and she would bring soap with them. This despite us checking in at around 4 or 4:30. - Dog parking a couple rooms down for a couple hours in evening, zippo lighters on couch in hallway; cigarette butts on the porch outside our door; missing roof tiles, scratches and gouges in walls and ceiling in room and hallways. - Water pressure was good and temp got hot. - Conveniently located. Lots of stores nearby both North and south. Right off the highway. - Lots of parking and green space around the property. If you’re just passing through and want a cheap place place to stay the night, then this will do just fine. If you are at all picky or want something more than a decent spot for a night or two, look elsewhere. It was clean enough, which is the bottom line for me, but it is dirtier in person than in pictures, thats for sure.

The location here was excellent! It sat right off of I-75. Bay City was only a mile or two down the road. The price was reasonable and included breakfast! The only slight thing was that the lobby was empty when we first arrived, but there was a number for assistance. I can't complain as the staff were attentative to our needs like when we needed towels or my wife needed a hair dryer. The beds were very comfortable and I have to rate them as a good experience!

It’s very dated. But a good location. Right next to highway.

It was the most run down hotel I have ever stayed at hardly any breakfast and what there was for breakfast was waffles and cereal. They could’ve had eggs and sausage and other stuff for breakfast

It was a place to stay. Looks like it’s in process of renovating from an EconoLodge to a Baymont. It would be nice to list the $100 deposit in the booking cost. I’ve never stayed at a hotel that requires such a thing. That was a bit of a surprise and would deter me from a future booking. The cost of room was cheap and it did have waffles for breakfast.

It was good, comfortable and decent breakfast. Refrigerator seems to be breaking down, made noise while I was watching tv and really woke me up at 2am. I unplugged it, the extension cord was already pulled out other people must have unplugged it earlier
