Our second time visiting. Such a unique and fun experience. The owners are friendly and really care about the experience they provide. Lovely setting and super clean. The happy hour is a nice touch and the chef prepared breakfast was wonderful on the sun deck with stunning views all around. We will be back!

We were on the top floor bedroom of the 3-level ship, which is docked in Yaquina Bay near the Hatfield Marine Science Center near the Yaquina Bay Bridge. The view was outstanding, the bed was comfortable, there was exceptional attentiont to detail. The main level is artsy, charming, and comfortable. There's a complimentary wine, beer, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres hour each evening, and a gourmet breakfast with two choices of entrees. The host, who updated and transformed the ship, is a genuine,warm and interesting man who is a joy to be around. We highly recommend this B&B!

This place is fantastic. It's a former paddlewheel cruise ship that's been converted into a bed and breakfast. The interior decor is well done and consistent with being on a ship. There are just five rooms, each of which is unique. Our room was much bigger than it appeared from the pictures. The bed was very comfortable and the shower large and modern. The happy hour was terrific (wine, beer, cheese, crackers and other snacks) and provided an opportunity to visit with other guests. The breakfast was delicious with made to order omelets, waffles, homemade pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, etc. Randy is a wonderful host (Paige was gone when we were there, so we did not get to meet her). If you're staying in the Newport area, try to get a room on the Belle. The boat is anchored in a marina with active fishing and active sea lions (which you can hear when outside). It has a postcard view of the highway 101 bridge over the harbor. The only minor glitch was with the check-in. We were supposed to receive an email from the ship with an access code to our room, but we didn't get one. A quick phone call to the Belle got us the code and everything went smoothly thereafter. The Belle is a unique place that is absolutely worth a visit.

What a great find this was!. Once you get past the fishy harbor smells and the barking sea lions, this place is a gem. Randy is a super gracious host. The room was impeccably clean. We loved the room freshener spray. There is no a/c but the wall mounted fan did fine for us. The shower was amazingly hot and strong for being on a boat. We loved the evening happy hour in the salon. I enjoyed reading my book on the covered upper deck in the evening. Cooked to order breakfast in the sun room was AMAZING. The mermaid painting on the wall still haunts me - I must have it! I highly recommend to any travelers going through Newport, like we did.

A wonderful unique venue with only 5 staterooms. The host, Randy, was great about introducing guests to each other at happy hour and starting conversations. Happy hour included beer, wine or non-alcoholic beverages and cheeses, crackers, meats on the house. There were multiple options available for breakfast with a chef available to fulfill your requests. Would I return if in Newport? Absolutely.

We loved our stay at the Newport Belle - it was a such a unique experience! We arrived just in time for happy hour with snacks & a free drink. It was nice to chat with the other guests & the view from the main area is scenic. We stayed in stateroom 3 on the bottom level. Nice comfy bed and water view from the window. I was a little nervous about a bathroom on a boat, but the shower was warm with great water pressure. At breakfast we got to meet & chat with the owner. We started with fruit, yogurt & small pastries. Then had a choice of banana walnut pancakes or a breakfast sandwich (salmon or ham), made to order. Brandon did a great job as chef, it was all delicious. We would definitely come back again!

I normally reserve 5 stars for the iconic properties like Peabody, Pfister, & so on, but this was truly unique. The staff beyond amazing. They seeked to pamper you. Views were incredible. One of the best sunsets ever. Fantastic breakfast & social hour. Walkable to Rogue brewery, I mean come on.

Staying at a bed and breakfast that’s also a boat is quite the experience! The rooms are nicely appointed and very clean. Randy was very friendly. The food is amazing! This is one experience that I will never forget and I will definitely be coming back again!

Absolutely wonderful! Breakfast was great. We were met by the owners before breakfast. They made us both feel very welcome. Very friendly and accommodating. Room and everything else were spotless. Super clean! A rating from us. How this only classes as a 2 Star facility is baffling to say the least.

Hosts are very thoughtful and meticulous; every detail necessary to make the stay pleasant is cared for. The boat experience (being in the water) was delightful. The boat and rooms are well maintained and nicely decorated. Felt absolutely refreshed!

The Newport Belle was such a delightful stay! The boat is absolutely beautiful and Happy Hour was such a treat! Our room was very clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, such a charming inn!

The Newport Belle was a refurbished paddle boat. It is so well done that the pictures don’t do it justice. Our room was darling and spotless. The owner made our breakfast and the food was very good and he was friendly and attentive. Brandon, the caretaker, went above and beyond. We loved our stay!

The owners are really nice and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic. The main lounge area is very comfortable. Our suite was clean and the bed was good. But there are drawbacks due to the fact it is a boat. Very limited storage. The parking in the marina is a pain and hauling your stuff up the gangway on the way out is difficult. This is not a good choice for people with mobility issues. The location in the marina is not within walking distance of town. The only thing close is the Rogue Brewery, which is fine. One guest remarked that the location is great for fishing charters. I cannot verify that, but it makes sense.

It is a working marina. There is a bit of activity around 4-6am (in June, so it would be whenever about an hour before sunrise). I’m a light sleeper and often awake in the early hours. Even with a window up, the disturbance is mild to nothing. Much less than hearing a garbage truck in the city. Allie on the boat was truly wonderful, helpful and polite. The room and common areas are spotless. The room is a bit small so maybe carry a smaller bag to bring the items you need and leave the big luggage in the car.

What a cool experience. The location is close to everything you want to see in Newport. The owners and staff are awesome down to earth people and very helpful and insightful about the area. Rooms are nice. My wife was worried about the boat moving and rocking but we did not have issues or experience that during our stay.

My husband and I had such a wonderful stay on the Newport Belle! The boat has been beautifully renovated and the views from the salon's picture window can't be beat. We joined for happy hour in the salon as the sun was setting, greeted by owner, Randy, who was the ultimate host. Beds and pillows were very comfortable, the room was very clean with all the amenities we needed, and the breakfast was so delicious! Highly recommended and we will definitely be coming back!

It was nice to chat with the other guests & the view from the main area is scenic. We stayed in stateroom 3 on the bottom level. Nice comfy bed and water view from the window. I was a little nervous about a bathroom on a boat, but the shower was warm with great water pressure. At breakfast we got to meet & chat with the owner. We started with fruit, yogurt & small pastries. Then had a choice of banana walnut pancakes or a breakfast sandwich (salmon or ham), made to order. Brandon did a great job as chef, it was all delicious. We would definitely come back again!

Sleeping aboard a paddle wheel boat was definitely unique! And the breakfast couldn't be beat. The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming. It would help if there were some instructions about the dish system with the TV, as it was not intuitive. In addition, the pillows were all extremely thick for our comfort and we would have appreciated a thinner set.

It is rare to find a true hidden gem of a place. The Newport Belle Hotel is such a place. The staff were 5 star professional and extremely friendly. The check-in / out process was a breeze. This is one of my all time favorite stays. Will be coming back definitely.

Fantastic overall experience. Took my love to the Oregon coast. Neither of us had been before. Special occasion- our engagement. Both the owners and their staff were gracious, hospitable and enthusiastic. They provided us with exceptional service, suggested wonderful restaurants and nearby points of interest AND adorned our room with both rose petals and a bottle of celebratory champagne! They obviously take great pride in their riverboat's " home-away-from-home" mystic. Such a wonderful experience. Can't wait to go back....maybe for our one year anniversary. A great value. This place was P-E-R-F-E-C-T!!!! My friend and I stay at ALOT of placea and this is now in my top 5 (bumping the Roxbury in NY and taking over #1!). Oregon was probably a one time for us but this place alone would be worth a trip back across country AND the owner was super welcoming and an amazing host.

Within walking distance you can enjoy a fantastic aquarium, Oregon State University’s Marine Science Center, and Rogue Brewery where they serve award winning beer (and great food). We had one of our best (out of 54) wedding anniversaries on the Newport Belle, and we’ll be going back soon.

My husband and I had such a wonderful stay on the Newport Belle! The boat has been beautifully renovated and the views from the salon's picture window can't be beat. We joined for happy hour in the salon as the sun was setting, greeted by owner, Randy, who was the ultimate host. Beds and pillows were very comfortable, the room was very clean with all the amenities we needed, and the breakfast was so delicious! Highly recommended and we will definitely be coming back!

I normally reserve 5 stars for the iconic properties like Peabody, Pfister, & so on, but this was truly unique. The staff beyond amazing. They seeked to pamper you. Views were incredible. One of the best sunsets ever. Fantastic breakfast & social hour. Walkable to Rogue brewery, I mean come on.

This place is fantastic. It's a former paddlewheel cruise ship that's been converted into a bed and breakfast. The interior decor is well done and consistent with being on a ship. There are just five rooms, each of which is unique. Our room was much bigger than it appeared from the pictures. The bed was very comfortable and the shower large and modern. The happy hour was terrific (wine, beer, cheese, crackers and other snacks) and provided an opportunity to visit with other guests. The breakfast was delicious with made to order omelets, waffles, homemade pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, etc. Randy is a wonderful host (Paige was gone when we were there, so we did not get to meet her). If you're staying in the Newport area, try to get a room on the Belle. The boat is anchored in a marina with active fishing and active sea lions (which you can hear when outside). It has a postcard view of the highway 101 bridge over the harbor. The only minor glitch was with the check-in. We were supposed to receive an email from the ship with an access code to our room, but we didn't get one. A quick phone call to the Belle got us the code and everything went smoothly thereafter. The Belle is a unique place that is absolutely worth a visit.
