El Dorado Seaside Suites Oceanfront, All & More Inclusive - Adults Only

Beautiful Resort. We wanted a nice quiet all inclusive and this place excelled. The food was pretty good for an all inclusive. You could get tacos anytime you wanted. We swim out pull was a nice feature. The staff are friendly and super helpful. We had transportation to and from the airport at no additional costs and we were luckily not to have to be with any other people.

Seaweed season had no ideas we needed to take that into consideration. The smell was bad day and night. Wasn’t able to enjoy the beach at all due to the massive amounts of seaweed. Staff was super great and amazing. Rooms were great. Except patio pools had algae and animal poop in it. Food and restaurant were amazing. But should be open later than 8pm Bar should be open later than 12 especially during the summer. Property was beautiful. Entertainment was great as well.

This was our first time at El Dorado Seaside & we thoroughly enjoyed it. The highlights of our stay were the spa experience that included hydrotherapy & massage. It was the best massage ever. The all inclusive excursion we decided to do was the catamaran at Maroma beach which was extremely enjoyable. The food was delicious. Our catamaran tour guide, Eduardo, was very informative & made the experience so fun! The food was amazing at the resort. The swim out suite was an added bonus. Everyone was so friendly from the shuttle drivers, to the dining staff, the concierge, & entertainment staff (Benjamin was a lot of fun). However, we are used to a little more variety of night entertainment. Since the beach was not operable due to seaweed, the property has only one main pool. There was also some maintenance being done on the property. However, our overall stay was enjoyable & relaxing & perfect for our summer getaway.

First time at EDSS. We did enjoy the large rooms and liked the idea of the swim out suites. In reality, the swim outs that are elevated are cold and unused. The pools are not heated, not just the swim outs but the main pool. The pools are also heavily shaded which might be lovely in warm months but the I couldn’t even bring myself to do more than dip a toe in December. Each morning we made our way to the Palms side of Seaside Suites and preferred the ocean temperatures for swimming and relaxing. This whole side of the resort has a more friendly vibe and if we ever come back we are definitely Seaside Palms people. Best bar service from Maria!!! She was a star and I hated to see those around me not tipping her. The food on this resort is top notch, not standard bland buffets. We were a little sad that seaside suites only had one restaurant so it felt like we were leaving our hotel to do everything. We didn’t mind the short walks and usually had good luck catching a golf cart ride. The protected beach on Palms side had many varieties of fish eager to eat right from your hands. We did the free catamaran but probably wasn’t worth the long drive and being stuck at the beach club. We left our resort 7:30am and the bus didn’t bring us back until 6:00pm and we almost missed our dinner reservation. We didn’t anticipate it taking so long and that wasn’t explained. Fortunately Javier our Catamarán host was excellent and made it enjoyable even though it was too windy to snorkel.

Beautiful resort, staff are amazing. The only issue is that a couple bars and restaurants weren’t open during our stay for whatever reason - this was frustrating because it meant we had to leave our area and try and find a different spot if we wanted something different for dinner. It wasn’t as convenient as having the bar and breakfast available at our section.

Property is beautiful and staff is beyond friendly and helpful. They really push their memberships. We went during a very slow week but the dining was subpar and places were often not open (or doors unlocked with the lights off and no staff lol). The only open bar at the seasuide suites building was a swim up and closed at 6pm?? Not what I was expecting and it was a huge disappointment. Having to walk the speard out property wasnt enjoyable and the carts were few and far between.The spa was very nice and would be recommended

This property was beautiful, the staff was so friendly and fun. We came during slow season (May) so some restaurants that said was open were actually closed. No swimmable beach if that’s your thing. We did the catamaran excursion that’s included with your stay and it was awesome.

Wonderful experience! Beautiful property, some of the best maintained grounds of any resort I’ve seen in the Caribbean. Give the grounds keepers a raise! The rooms were clean as were the facilities, restrooms and restaurants. They have a very diligent staff that is in constant motion keeping things clean. Also, SUCH a friendly staff. Cynthia over at the Palms beach cabanas kept the drinks flowing and Domingo on the Beach Grill served up some excellent BBQ! Carlos(house keeping) and Azael (room service) took great care of us over in the seaside suites. The swim out balcony on the honeymoon level was truly paradise. Anyone reading this know that this is a true 5 star resort regardless of this 4.1 rating (robbery)…. The FOOD WAS AWESOME! High quality alcohol selections. Awesome service. Can’t wait to come back!

Resort was under construction and was woken up multiple mornings. Resort is older. Shuttle service needs to run longer, especially when you have activities on the other side of the resort ending past shuttle end time. Italian restaurant is amazing! Would have loved to see more authentic food.

Do not travel here it is not safe specially for women in this hotel. They also lie about the prices and the taxi drivers make up their own prices and they will make a scene. The reception is in the front is really rude and does not care about any complaints that were made to not handle them on time. Also, the pool and the room was super dirty. And they do not clean the rooms. The mini bar is only gonna get stocked if you call them and follow through at least 3 to 4 times.

Staff is amazing which definitely makes this place. Food is of good quality as well. Property needs works. stayed in Seaside Suites and there was Debree in the pool and a lot of rust. Also Jacuzzi in the room did not have any hot water. definitely needs renovations

Our new favorite resort!Staff was amazing!!Food was great. Everyone really went above & beyond to make sure we had everything that we needed. Some areas of the resort need some updating, but the attention to other details makes those things not really matter.Our room was spacious and always spotless. The bed was very comfy.The mini bar was well stocked with a nice selection.I loved the robes and slippers! The towels were quality and always well stocked both in the room and by the pool.24 hour room service was also an excellent perk! The food was delivered timely and was delicious!The spa experience was heavenly. Best massages we have had at a resort! Our massages included a mud scrub, steam room, cold room, bubble pool & and 80-minute massage that could be done in the spa or on the beach. My massage therapist even put my hair up in a braid that stayed for the whole week so i never had to worry about my hair. That was a nice surprise! We enjoyed all the food on the resort.My absolute favorite thing was the fresh tacos prepared outside the Seaside Market!We really enjoyed our tomahawk steaks on the beach before the fire show! Our private dinner in the gazebo was excellent.The staff went above & beyond by not only bringing me the apple pie that we ordered but also a baked Alaska with a sparkler for my birthday!We have visited Riviera Maya many times. El Dorado Seaside Suites was our favorite stay to date! We look forward to returning soon.

This property would definitely not be considered 5 star in my opinion. The room I booked was a king swim up. The room was dirty including the bathroom and pool. Sheets were stained and items were missing and or broken such as a picture on the wall and the pillows on the couch. I contacted the reception area and they were very nice and offered to upgrade my room to the presidential suite, which was in much nicer condition but still not 5 star at all. The idea was great and the room was huge! Basically 2 rooms in one. But still the furniture had stains and you could see foot prints on the tile flooring from maintenance people I guess. The pool area furniture was dated/dirty and the balcony in general is not well kept. They told me this pool area was recently renovated so I hate to see what it was like before. They are doing exterior work to paint the balconies which is much needed but debris is in the pools and I don’t think chlorine or anything like that is added bc there was a film & floaties. While it was nice to look at, I’d never actually get in. Overall I appreciated the staff being accommodating and addressing my concerns as well as the free airport transfer. Staff was also very nice in the restaurants and the Japanese place was the best of the food options. However, I would not return due to limited entertainment and food options and certainly the cleanliness issues. Was relatively relaxing…..just not fun.

The whole resort was amazing overall—It was beyond our expectations! We were in room 6210 from Sept 26th- October 3rd. The room was Massive & super clean, Luiza was great when we asked her for room cleaning. We never felt sketched out or felt like we had to keep looking back at anybody Every single person that worked at the resort were friendly and had smiles on their faces. Ricardo R. Was one of our regular server at the restaurants we went to and he was really helpful, very nice & took care of us very well! I wish I memorized everybody’s names because they were all great. I’ve already recommended this resort to people I know! They won’t disappoint!

This place is honestly ridiculous. There are very few places to eat, and the hours listed on the app are completely inaccurate. We tried to get breakfast at a spot that claimed to serve à la carte breakfast, only to be told in person that they were only serving lunch. While everything is within walking distance, the lack of dining options is incredibly frustrating. The food overall is mediocre at best. The buffet is subpar whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The only decent meal we had was at the Driftwood restaurant near the seaside swim-ups. Our swim-up pool was fairly dirty, and we didn’t even get to enjoy it. Of course, the beach in Mexico is always beautiful, which was one of the few highlights. The staff at the resort are friendly and helpful, but there’s a serious lack of communication about what’s open, what’s available, and what events are happening. For a resort that markets itself as a luxury experience, the disorganization and lack of transparency were really disappointing. The staff deserves a five star rating though.

The resort is huge, 3 properties together, the palms, suites and hidden beach. They have golf carts to shuttle you between places as suites did not really have restaurants, only for lunch was it open. So you have to go elsewhere for dinner and walking was an option if you don’t mind sweating. Everyone was really nice. When we checked in I pulled back the blankets and blood stains. How does a housekeeper put sheets on the bed and leave stained sheets on? So we called and they wouldn’t move us. Oh the couch had stains on it too. So did the curtain. All the light switches and outlets had dirt piled up on them and were sticky and gross. The lounge bed on balcony was stained there was also gunky dirty stuff on swim out pool railing I didn’t want to touch. We went to front desk and they said they would send a cleaning crew instead of moving us. They did replace the couch and change sheets. I was so upset I didn’t take photos of bed n couch before it was changed cuz I was just so upset and sad that our trip started that way. I did get photos of the other items. The staff for the most part was really friendly. Food was decent, Italian place was best. Room service tended to be cold upon delivery. Beach was nice on the palms side you can’t get to water on suites side. Free excursions that are included get booked fast n we were told no room until I basically cried to concierge. They do have airport shuttle and a ride to take you to city to shops after you spend two hours at a tour

All rooms are ocean view. If you are on the higher floors (5th & 6th) there is no obstruction of your view. The property is outdated and is noticeable when looking at the facade of the building. Seaside palms is much nicer then seaside suites.

We stayed in the honeymoon suite and the amenities were amazing. The pool on the balcony was a little cold but only really at night. The dinner on the beach was great! The massages at the spa is a must! The fiesta on the beach was so much fun. The food was hit or miss. The drinks were strong. The pool parties were super fun. There was a lot of walking to get around but the shuttles were running every 20 minutes. I would definitely come back again.

We really enjoyed our stay there. A little mixup with our concierge writing down our dinner reservation on a wrong night but overall a great experience. Staff were very friendly at every spot! The building itself is showing some wear but the grounds were impressive.

Beautiful resort, Great food, suites were very spacious and clean. We had a swim up ocean front room, perfect hotel for our anniversary. Great views and it felt like a lovely oasis of luxury. Golf buggies ferry you from one side of the resort to the other. It is walkable but you'll sweat a lot. Food and drink, Great choices all over the resort. Buffet for breakfast and dinner was excellent. On the nights we didn’t feel like venturing out, room service did us very proud. One big recommendation is to take mozzie repellent, they were really bad on our stay Sept 2025.

This property was fantastic especially the infinity pools adjacent to my room. The staff was very accommodating and friendly.

Most everything was great- the staff and service we fantastic! There are plenty of options for activities and dining. There are plenty of pools, chairs, and places to either party or tuck into something more quiet and just enjoy the beach. Our room is where we had some disappointments. The room was freezing and no way to adjust it, there was no hot water for the shower even though the huge tub had plenty. Having said that, we were in the Suites with the swim up pools on every floor which was fantastic. The music from the main party pool below was very loud so if that’s not your thing pick a different location. It only runs during the day so morning and evening were peaceful. Overall I do recommend the resort- go and enjoy! Just know what you want before you book.

Just got home from a week with my mom and daughter and we loved our stay from check in to check out, they all take such great care of you! The staff was outstanding in all areas! The room was beautiful with an ocean view and swim up on the fourth floor. It was clean, comfy, and beautiful and the sunrises were gorgeous. The grounds were beautiful and so well kept. The beach was great and we were able to get a cabana everyday without reserving or rushing to the beach first thing in the morning. If you’re looking to relax at a wonderful property, this is it! Don’t miss the spa-it’s pricey but worth it. Be sure to do the hydrotherapy! We loved the property, especially the amazing staff! We can’t wait to go back with the rest of the family!! Special hats off to all the shuttle drivers that get you around the property if you don’t want to walk. They are so fun, so helpful, and just a joy to spend sometime with. Look for Fernando, that man is gold! Lomis was also amazing with our transportation and expertly and kindly handled some snafus with our arrival at the Cancun airport rather than the scheduled Cozumel arrival due to problems with our original flight. They took care of everything and made it so easy to get to the property.

The top two things about this resort are the staff friendliness and the beautiful setting. The two things that need improvement are the facility condition and the food. The buildings are dated and need more than the love that the staff give it. The property, other than the beach, needs actual investment as it is aging. The food was disappointing. Breakfast was good and some of the snack stations were ok but lunch and especially the dinners were lacking for a property that puts culinary excellence as a priority on their mission statement. The absolute worst part, and a detractor for re-booking is the upselling. Upselling on memberships, while not outright pushy, was subtly thrown in your face for everything. The fact that the restaurants sit half empty at dinner hour and they make you wait 30 to 40 minutes for a seat because you are not a member is quite ridiculous. Offering get spa discounts or freebies if you sit through the membership sales pitch but then hearing the spa staff offering better deals on the beach for no sales pitch seemed odd as there didn't seem to be any consistency in want could or should be offered. Overall, if you want a quiet, walkable, beautiful grounds and beach and don't really care about dinners or how long you have to wait for a table you should be fine.

From the moment my partner and I arrived on the property we were absolutely taken away. The staff is incredible and beyond hospitable. The rooms are immaculate, (cleaned and stocked daily) the food is incredible with many buffets and restaurants, and the property is pristine. There are so many different dining options as well as many pools and beach bars. They have daily activities and night entertainment. The spa was really the cherry on top. I cannot say enough good things about this property and we cannot wait to come back!

The good: the employees and service were both very good. The spa services were also very good. The bad: -you are always being upsold everywhere. Especially when trying to use services that are included in your package. -The employees seem to be competing against each other for sales. One example - we paid for a Bali bed with our personal concierge. We weren’t given clear instructions on where to go and when we asked employees we were either passed off to another employee or told they couldn’t help us because we booked through the concierge. We ended up having to stand around for about a half hour until someone finally was willing/able to help us. My impression was this wasn’t the employees’ fault but a result of the system they had to operate within -The restaurant hours and locations are not communicated well at all. The maps and hours listed on the app are confusing. - everything on the Seaside Suites side closes between 5-6. After that you need to go to the Palms side for anything. - Even though this is supposedly a gated community with security, there was still someone posted up at the beach trying to sell weed and coke - The food we had was ok. Not horrible, not great. However, the coffee was atrocious in the restaurants and in the room. You could get Starbucks but it costs extra. Overall - it was ok. We enjoyed our stay but I don’t see ourselves returning next time we want to visit an all-inclusive resort

We really enjoyed our stay at seaside suites. The staff was amazing except the conceirge selling packages, tours and future vacations. As soon as we said no thanks, she stopped smiling, picked up her phone and ignored us. And again at check out, hard sell on future vacations. No thanks, sent us over to the real check out desk. The swim up bar got very loud and rowdy each afternoon. Room was big but there were no rooms with two queen beds even though that was advertised as an option.

Room service was impeccable and everything from beginning to end was impressive and worth every bit of trust you put in them. Our transport was in a very luxurious van and every employee we had the chance to talk with or do business with was extremely nice, warm and polite. I would recommend anyone to try this hotel and experience the hospitality they provide. Cannot wait to come back someday and stay even longer next time!

This resort is beautiful and everyone on the staff is very friendly and helpful. The one big issue I ran into was that I did not receive the $100 resort credit that came with the booking through Expedia. Additionally, I reserved a bali bed for the following day and was encouraged to prepay for a package - but it turned out that reservations were not required and I never received the package I paid for despite asking multiple servers. When I raised this issue at check-out I was told there was nothing that could be done because I prepaid for the package. I hope someone else learns from my experience - you should not need to prepay for anything!

The only real problem was that the beach was terrible with the algae problem. There is literally no beach. The resort was great, staff was great, food was great. Beach terrible.

We stayed at the Seaside Suites side of the property. It was clean, service top notch, and rooms very spacious. The Suites side of the resort is definitely more of the 'party-side' of the resort, with the pool very loud with music and activities. Also the beach area on this side is small, and you are not able to easily swim in the ocean. We spent our days on the 'Palms' side of the property as it was a quieter vacation vibe, beach was lovely with lots of chairs/beds and lovely for swimming. Pools on this side were quieter more relaxing. We also preferred to restaurants and food on this side of the property. Beach bars for lunch were amazing! Also great for food was Seaside Market and the Pub, both a la carte, and reservations not needed.

This Hotel was very relaxing and the staff was very nice and helpful. The lobby smelled awesome. Food was good. Will visit again. They provided free hotel shuttle from Cancun Airport which was amazing

Arrival (Day 1): • Hotel shuttles are only included from Cancun Airport (1.5 hours away), not Tulum Airport. Transportation from Tulum costs $158 USD one way via Lomas Transport, which is punctual—don’t be late. • Early arrivals can use resort amenities, but rooms aren’t available before 3 PM and no early check-in option is offered. Day 2: • Staff organizes fun and high-energy activities like fitness classes and pool parties. • Bartenders are generous, enhancing the vibe. • Avoid eating the worm in the Mezcal bottle. Day 3: • Excursions use Lomas Transportation—reliable and on-time. • Catamaran excursion at Maroma Beach includes optional speed boats (worth the extra cost), with food and drinks provided. Full-day trip: 8 AM – 5 PM. Day 4: • Cenote excursion includes no food or drinks. Bring your own supplies and wear comfortable walking attire. Day 5: • Resort food is average—not exceptional but satisfying. Day 6 & Departure: • Spa services are pricey but negotiable and worthwhile (hydrotherapy + massage recommended). • Check-out and airport transport were quick and smooth.

We enjoyed our stay overall. The room was nice and enjoyed the room service very much. Property is beautiful and well kept. The food at Klay Talay(reservation only) was probably our favorite food we had. The shuttle service isn’t around as often as they claim. Expect to do A LOT of walking! I do recommend doing the underground cenote if you feel comfortable swimming(life vests are provided.) Very beautiful but plan to hike and stoop through a cave. The suites are oceanfront but there is a barrier to the ocean. The beach is located at the palms side which I do wish I had brought water shoes as there were some sharp rocks there. We want to highlight Angel, who was working the guacamayas bar at that time. He was awesome! Best service of our stay!

The swim-up pools on the balconies were amazing!! The restaurants had great food - the buffet was themed each night which we didn't figure out till closer to the end of our stay - the restaurants had weird schedules and weren't open each night and there was no calendar for this in the app or website either so a couple of the nights we had to wander around to find food - not cool. We discovered there is 24/7 Room Service with a really great menu that you can order directly from the app/website using your smart phone. From the time of order to a knock on the door was less than 15min - FANTASTIC!! The map we received at check-in was also wrong - the guacamayas bar was listed as being on the Seaside Suites and it was moved to the Palms side. Were told the resort was moving some things around - which we get as its low season but either update the map or don't give one out. The entertainment was amazing, lots of little activities each night to take in - from live singing in the plaza, fire show on the beach or reggae band at the outdoor bar, such fun! The events app/webpage left lots to be desired, many events were not listed and we didn't figure this out till the last night there when we were walking around. There was supposed to be an acrobatics show one night in the sports bar and no-one showed up, asked the staff and was told that's tomorrow - went back the next night and nothing either. Overall, I'd stay here again

The food was consistently cold, especially at the buffet. No variety either, same food everyday. The customer service is poor. This is NOT a 5-star resort. They do not communicate properly and will blame you for their short comings. The showers flood the bathroom as well as the front door. The renovations are patchwork and you can see the inconsistencies in the design. The phones do not work in the rooms. Front desk staff is rude and are dishonest. Didn’t not provide the return shuttle as stated in the package. When bringing up the complaints, the response is basically “oh well.” Will never stay here again and will not recommend anyone to stay here.

I liked that they offered included activities. The staff was very friendly. Majority of the food options were exceptional but we did not really love the gourmet pub options. The Italian restaurant was amazing. The property was very clean.

Property is beautiful and staff is beyond friendly and helpful. They really push their memberships. We went during a very slow week but the dining was subpar and places were often not open (or doors unlocked with the lights off and no staff lol). The only open bar at the seasuide suites building was a swim up and closed at 6pm?? Not what I was expecting and it was a huge disappointment. Having to walk the speard out property wasnt enjoyable and the carts were few and far between.The spa was very nice and would be recommended

Wonderful experience! Beautiful property, some of the best maintained grounds of any resort I’ve seen in the Caribbean. Give the grounds keepers a raise! The rooms were clean as were the facilities, restrooms and restaurants. They have a very diligent staff that is in constant motion keeping things clean. Also, SUCH a friendly staff. Cynthia over at the Palms beach cabanas kept the drinks flowing and Domingo on the Beach Grill served up some excellent BBQ! Carlos(house keeping) and Azael (room service) took great care of us over in the seaside suites. The swim out balcony on the honeymoon level was truly paradise. Anyone reading this know that this is a true 5 star resort regardless of this 4.1 rating (robbery)…. The FOOD WAS AWESOME! High quality alcohol selections. Awesome service. Can’t wait to come back!

This place is honestly ridiculous. There are very few places to eat, and the hours listed on the app are completely inaccurate. We tried to get breakfast at a spot that claimed to serve à la carte breakfast, only to be told in person that they were only serving lunch. While everything is within walking distance, the lack of dining options is incredibly frustrating. The food overall is mediocre at best. The buffet is subpar whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The only decent meal we had was at the Driftwood restaurant near the seaside swim-ups. Our swim-up pool was fairly dirty, and we didn’t even get to enjoy it. Of course, the beach in Mexico is always beautiful, which was one of the few highlights. The staff at the resort are friendly and helpful, but there’s a serious lack of communication about what’s open, what’s available, and what events are happening. For a resort that markets itself as a luxury experience, the disorganization and lack of transparency were really disappointing. The staff deserves a five star rating though.

Loved their food. For an all inclusive resort, the food was amazing! Best tacos I’ve had in my life!! Room and property was clean. Beach was amazing and the staff was super friendly. Only downside is the Japanese and Italian restaurants are hard to get into and we unfortunately did not get into the Italian restaurant. Talking to regulars there, they said those two restaurants have seats held for members which causes it to fill up quicker for non members like us.

Some restaurants were serving old food. Me and my girlfriend got sick. Otherwise the property was very nice, well kept and staff were very friendly.
