Well; I highly belive this hotel is growing; the room on paint poor, the clean of the room is as well poor; the location super far; the price is not matching what is doing or selling; it doesn’t have amenities because sounds like luxury boutique or eco hotel; need maintenance the restroom and shower; the steep ladder that are really dangerous and slippery be careful; it doesn’t have bottle of water they place in jar water; it has a mini fridge but doesn’t have any kind of amenities; it really dissapoint my self and family; the food was the service on the front desk was really helpfull and they change the room that originally was my reservation; it was the same no upgrade at all only same thing but a little better view. The view is partial lagoon is not lagoon; they don’t provide repellent is and area with a lot of mosquitos thankfully we didn’t have a lot. We could go to the restaurant but we prefer not do it because well the room was not really great. The whites (towels) need to be renew. They could provide lamps or lights for the night just for precaution if you would like to access to the lagoon; don’t take me wrong has lights but is to dull; Well in general poor; if you would like a better hotel i highly recommend Amanahi that is in the coast of Bacalar; I can say this because my first hotel in Bacalar this weekend was Amanahi. Second MBH and today is AMARANTO and so far the best with amanities service location and lagoon view AMANAHAI and second AMARANTO. MBH is far from

Great experience. Nice place and staff helpful and friendly. Only downside was that the hot tub was not working and that was one of the reasons I chose this property.

The hotel has no ammenities at all, a very small restaurant with no AC. We did not have hot water on the first day and had to call maintenance for the bathroom. They cleaned leaves with a VERY noisy machine daily distrupting all the peace. No pool, yes you have a beautiful lagoon but only 6 very uncomfortable beds. The hotel is very far from everythong so taxis are very expensive. Staffnis amazing though and food was great.

Die Anlage an und für sich ist sehr schön. Leider aber etwas heruntergekommen, darin nur 4 Sterne. Auf jedem Dach der Häuser ist eine Sauna und ein Jacuzzi oder kleiner Pool. Leider funktioniert das meiste nicht. Beim See ist es schön aber direkt am Anfang wächst Seetang und darüber zu schwimmen ist eklig und gefährlich. Es müsste entfernt werden…

Me agrado la tranquilidad del lugar. En general considero que es un buen lugar para hospedarse en Bacalar. Creo que pueden mejorar en las opciones de alimentos y proporcionar cosas sencillas como por ejemplo si pido un café al room service mandar azúcar, agitadores, etc. Sería un plus que solucionaran lo que esté fallando en su jacuzzi ya que el agua estaba apenas tibia y no funcionaron las opciones de hidromasaje.

Nos gustó mucho. Solo tengo 2 inconvenientes. Las bicicletas que prestan no están en buenas condiciones y hacen falta camastros para que todos puedan disfrutar la laguna

We booked this hotel last minute. And it didn’t disappoint place is absolutely beautiful. When we first saw the lagoon we were so impressed how amazing and beautiful it was Bacalar. The room was impeccable clean. It had ac which was great overall we had an amazing experience there. We had chilaquiles for breakfast at their place delicious.

Fantastic stay, very clean and wonderful staff. Just outside of Bacalar which means it was nice and quiet. Loved the stay and would recommend to others.

Es un lugar que promete una experiencia de mediano nivel que no pueden cumplir, cobran extra por amenidades como Jacuzzi en la habitación que no sirve, no son capaces de atender ninguna solicitud y la limpieza es bastante deficiente, en resumen, NO RECOMENDABLE, caro y sucio.

The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking! Cleanliness in the room needs improvement. Taking a shower the first day was a horrible experience. Drain was clogged and water completely flooded the bathroom. We used towels to prevent water from running into the bedroom. Issue was reported and not addressed until later in the day (staff is not available until 8:00am). No apologies were given.

The facilities were good and the restaurant was great. I didn’t love that my room had issues, to start the bathroom looked like it wasn’t properly cleaned, it had shiny spots around the toilet that made me think it was pee from the previous guest. Also we turned on the ac and we woke up with tons of water on the floor, luckily the staff worked on it but it wasn’t the best experience. Finally, we tried using the pool as there was an issue of high winds and the pool is very very small, like 3m by 3 m. We ended up using the pool from a friend of mine that was just a bit smaller.

Excellent place to stay, clean and spacious room, staff very friendly but the most remarkable thing is that we left the safe box open with our valuables, passports and cash before they clean the room and everything was there, when we returned, nothing was missing 😀 and the place is amazing the lake 3 minutes away from our room.

El lugar es precioso y la gente amabilísima. La calidad de la ropa de cama y las toallas dejan mucho que desear.

Aspectos positivos Ubicación Personal atento Aspectos negativos Limpieza deficiente, requiere limpieza profunda al menos cada 3 meses, mejorar limpieza de ropa cama. Creo q están el punto donde si los propietarios no reinvierten en mejorar condiciones generales de la propiedad pronto será un hotel no apto para alojarse. El personal muy atento y el entorno sin duda excelente.

La propiedad esta ubicada a 7 km aproximadamente del centro de Bacalar, por lo que es indispensable traer auto para desplazarte (considerar que los taxis para desplazarte son caros). La propiedad esta muy descuidada, las habitaciones son amplias, pero están muy sucias y hay telarañas y muchos insectos muertos. Los baños de las habitaciones están en muy mal estado, los pisos son extremadamente resbalosos cuando traes los pies mojados, las toallas están llenas de hoyos, el mosquitero no está bien instalado, por lo que el acceso de mosquitos, tábanos y arañas es frecuente. El servicio del hotel es promedio, el restaurante tiene buena comida, pero los precios son elevados comparando con otras opciones en Bacalar. Caminar en los senderos del hotel o salir al balcón es casi imposible por la cantidad de mosquitos que hay en la propiedad. El hotel colinda con la laguna, pero hay muy pocos camastros en comparación con el número de habitaciones. En resumen, la calidad de este hotel no corresponde al número de estrellas con el que lo comercializan. No recomiendo para nada este hotel y en definitiva no volvería a hospedarme ahí.

La venden como 4 estrellas y deja mucho que desear, las instalaciones sin mantenimiento, camastros raspados rotos, cojines de estos horribles sucios y rotos, habitaciones te dan agua an jarra, no cafe, no frigobar, cortinas rotas, humedad, las toallas horrendas parecen trapito de cocina. Para el precioo carisisiismo lo que ofrecen, porque no es 4 estrellas, sin embargo la pasamos bien pero inconformes con el precio

Nos pareció un lugar muy lindo y tranquilo para estar. El personal es amable y atento y la comida del restaurante bastante recomendable. Lo único que comentaría es que no hay cafeteras en las habitaciones, así que si eres de los que ama despertar temprano con cafe lleva una porque el restaurante abre a las 8am. Todo lo demás excelente!! gracias y esperamos regresar pronto.

Incredible stay! Location was nice and secure with private access to the lagoon. The staff was extraordinarily nice and helpful. Check in was a breeze the girls at the front desk were very nice. Our room was spacious, the AC was perfect and our bed was probably the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Hotel muy tranquilo. El personal es muy atento. Amenidades como kayak y bicis que hacen tu estancia súper amena. Lo malo: No se puede ver la TV debido a que el internet es muy malo.

En general es un lugar hermoso y acogedor, el personas es muy amable, sin embargo tiene unos puntos a considerar: el Internet y la luz son intermitentes, es un gran problema para trabajar o incluso ver TV por la noche. La base de la cama es bastante incomoda, es poco resistente y rechina demasiado con cualquier mínimo movimiento, te hace sentir inseguro de si va a romperse. Sería recomendable tener un friego bar en la recamara, nosotros tuvimos que pedir un refri mini para enfríar insulina y una hielera para mantero fría nuestra agua.

Nos gustó mucho la tranquilidad del lugar y la atención del personal. Están muy al pendiente del WhatsApp y son súper amigables. Sin embargo, algunos aspectos no iban en relación a la calidad-precio, como que los baños estaban muy lejos de la laguna y en la parte para bañarse hay muchas piedras incómodas que nos lastimaron los pies. Además, no hay espacio para varios camastros en el muelle. La comida es muy buena. En la habitación (la nuestra era con hidromasaje), vimos todo muy limpio y con buenas instalaciones. Por otro lado, la el colchón era muy duro y la base de madera suena horrible con el menor movimiento y puede despertarte. En general, no es una mala experiencia, pero tal vez estos detalles puedan ayudarte a hacerte una idea.

The only thing I would improve is adding coffee in the room. Everything else was very good!

Exceptional views. The food and the room service are wonderful. The room is very basic, but the bed is quite comfortable. Would be nice to have coffee in the room and also refillable regular coffee instead of paying for every cup. We enjoyed our experience and would recommend

Beautiful property overall. Interesting layout of rooms in smaller buildings, each with something special on the roof. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts and dinners that we ate in the restaurant. Every member of the staff was wonderful, but the only, very small drawback to the hotel was that it seemed as though there simply weren't enough of them.

La propiedad es muy linda, sin embargo el acceso a la laguna es complicado y nadie del hotel brinda ayuda al respecto. Fuera de proporcionar chalecos salvavidas (solo están a disposición) no hay nadie que supervise o apoye. Hay una barra cercana a la laguna, pero nadie que te ofrezca el servicio. Hay camastros pero sin colchonetas. Estuvimos el día 23 y 24 de diciembre en donde se nos comunicó que a partir de cierto horario no habría servicio de alimentos ni atención del personal. Básicamente no había servicio en el hotel. Afortunadamente rente un coche por lo que me pude mover en el pueblo para comer e ir a tiendas de autoservicio, pero no me imagino como hubiera funcionado si dependiera del servicio del hotel. La gente muy amable, pero no fue suficiente para compensar los fallos de la propiedad.

Despues de haberme hospedado, regresé a la habitación y habia un masculino personal de mantenimiento al parecer haciendo cosas con la ropa interior de mi esposa, luego se ocultó en el baño diciendo que lo habían mandado a hacer limpieza, algo que no coincidió con lo que me dijeron en recepción, ya que eĺlos dijeron que seguramente entró sin saber que la habitación ya estaba ocupada. Me retiré del hotel, preferí no permanecer para dormir ahí.

Limpieza excelente, comida muy rica agregaria algunos snaks, para ir al centro debes tomar taxi, aproximadamente 10 minutos.

Hotellet er lidt slidt. Det mangler i den grad vedligeholdelse - alle døre binder, badeværelset er kalket til, håndklæderne hænger i laser, jacuzzien på taget er gået i stykker ligesom stjernekikkerten, og liggestolene på lagune dækket har alle små skavanker. Alligevel bliver jeg nødt til at give stedet en høj karakter, for sjældent har jeg nydt et ophold så meget. Udsigten er fabelagtig - både fra værelserne (havde Laguna view) og fra det store trædæk ud i lagunenen, og placeringen med jungle til begge sider er simpelthen genial. Grunden rundt om de i alt 6 små værelses tårne (4 med Laguna View og 2 med Jungle View), er velholdt og flot anlagt så den glider ind i den omkringliggende natur. Og så er der den udendørs restaurant (lidt tilbagetrukket i “junglen”) hvor man spiser skøn mad til overkommelige priser, alt imens cikaderne synger og junglefuglene går til ro. Hvor man end er på hotellets grund, kan der bestilles drinks og mad (via WhatsApp) med hurtig levering og uden ekstra beregning af det søde og altid hjælpsomme personale. Der er kanoer, padleboards og svømmeveste til fri afbenyttelse. I de 3 dage vi boede på hotellet, tog vi 1 gang ind til Bacalar (ligger 5-6 km væk), men kom hurtigt tilbage igen til dette lille paradis.

The property is in good condition but very far from downtown. Activities are limited and room quality will be 3 1/2 stars. The entrance is in poor condition and needs further improvements.

Muy bien. Pero tienen q mejorar la Forma De llegar. Las apps te mandan por un camino diverso. Creo q allí deberían de poner también señalización.

El lugar es bellísimo, las vistas, la laguna, los amaneceres son preciosos. Las habitaciones son cómodas y con lo necesario. El hotel tiene detalles de mantenimiento, sin embargo, nada que afecte la estancia. El personal el muy amable y siempre pendiente de las necesidades. Puedes nadar en la laguna y hacer Kayak, es lo mejor. El restaurante es caro y no es excelente, pero es la única opción. El pueblito de Bacalar está lejos, como a 10 min en coche; así que no tiene NADA cercano. Nosotros rentamos un auto, es lo mejor para salir a conocer y a comer. Sin duda alguna, regresaría.

Pure magic! I loved my stay at the MBH. The property is set in the jungle and is surrounded by the natural beauty of Bacalar. It has an incredible lagoon access including kayaks and paddle boards for you to explore with. It’s well worth it!

I Walked away. We order meat tacos, they were all grease. We didn’t like ceviche either and we had no discount at all for that bad food. We didn’t like it. So we left. Too expensive also for that kind of place.

Me encantó mucho el muelle, está excelente para pasar el atardecer, la selva que rodea el hotel está hermosa, me gustó que había un sendero para caminar. Y sobre todo me encantó el personal que se portó muy amable. La comida del restaurante está deliciosa.
